Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable essay test instrument to assess mathematical conceptual understanding in ninth-grade junior high school students, focusing on similarity and congruence. Employing a modified 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), the research involved designing a test blueprint based on seven conceptual understanding indicators, expert validation using the Content Validity Ratio (CVR), and field testing to evaluate construct validity, reliability, item difficulty, and discrimination indices. The results indicated that all test items were valid, achieved a high reliability coefficient (α = 0.83), and exhibited varied difficulty and discrimination levels meeting established criteria. Consequently, this instrument is capable of comprehensively measuring students' conceptual understanding and serves as an effective assessment tool in mathematics education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the active learning method in strengthening Islamic values within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA PGRI Padang Cermin, in response to the gap between students’ cognitive understanding and the practical implementation of religious values. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the PAI teacher and students, classroom participatory observations, and document analysis of syllabi, lesson plans, and students’ reflective journals. The participants consisted of one PAI teacher and 32 tenth-grade students. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings revealed four major themes: the expansion of dialogical participation, the internalization of values through authentic experiences, the integration of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, and supporting and inhibiting factors in implementation. Discussion-based learning, simulations, and collaborative projects were found to facilitate moral reflection and the enactment of Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and cooperation. This study reinforces the constructivist perspective in value education and offers practical implications for instructional design and character-based assessment policies. Future longitudinal research is recommended to examine the sustainability of value internalization over time.

Abstract

Social and digital transformations have impacted early childhood parenting patterns, necessitating the strengthening of the family's role as the foundation for Islamic-based character education. This community service activity aims to improve literacy and practice of Islamic parenting through the Quranic Parent School program at the Merpati Early Childhood Education Post in Kutawaluya District. The program is designed to build synergy between schools and families in supporting the social-emotional and spiritual development of early childhood. The method used is a community-based participatory approach with stages of needs identification, joint action planning, parenting class implementation, and periodic reflection and evaluation. Activities are implemented through workshops, reflective discussions, simulations of Islamic parenting practices, and the establishment of a parent forum as a forum for program sustainability. The results of the activity indicate an increase in parents' understanding of the concepts of fitrah (natural nature) and adab (good manners), changes in communication patterns to be more empathetic, and consistent habits of worship and restrictions on gadgets at home. Further impacts are seen in increased discipline and emotional regulation of children at school and the formation of a Quranic family learning community. The implications of this activity confirm that strengthening Islamic parenting through the Quranic Parent School model is effective in encouraging family-based social transformation and has the potential to be replicated in other PIAUD institutions with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Early childhood literacy skills are an important foundation for literacy development and academic readiness. However, many children aged 4–5 years still have difficulty recognizing letters and initial sounds of words due to monotonous learning and minimal use of concrete media. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of letter sticker media in improving early childhood literacy skills at Nurul Hikmah PAUD. The study was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method in two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 16 children aged 4–5 years. The results showed a significant increase in children's literacy skills, from an average of 39% in the pre-cycle with a dominance of the Not Yet Developing (BB) and Starting to Develop (MB) categories, increasing to 58% in the first cycle with more children entering the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category, to reaching 82% in the second cycle with the majority of children in the BSH and Very Well Developing (BSB) categories. These findings prove that letter sticker media can be an effective, enjoyable, and developmentally appropriate learning strategy for early childhood. In conclusion, this study shows that letter sticker media can be an effective, fun learning strategy, and is appropriate to the developmental stages of early childhood, so it is worthy of being adopted in PAUD education practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 2021 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of Jember Regency from the perspective of Islamic public finance. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with primary data obtained through interviews with the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), and academics, while secondary data is sourced from APBD documents and related literature. The results of the study show that in terms of revenue, Jember Regency is still highly dependent on transfer revenues from the central government, which account for 74% of total regional revenue, while the contribution of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) is relatively small. From an Islamic public finance perspective, this condition shows that the management of local economic potential in accordance with the principle of al-maliyah al-'ammah is not yet optimal. In terms of expenditure, the largest allocation is focused on personnel expenditure, while expenditure for the poor and public welfare is still low. This is not in line with the principle put forward by Ibn Taymiyyah, that state expenditure should prioritize the welfare of the poor and public needs. Thus, the application of the principles of justice, trustworthiness, and welfare in Islamic public finance in Jember Regency still needs to be strengthened

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Akidah Ahlak learning with the Pancasila and Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5/PPRa) in building moral and national character in madrasahs. With a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines the process of internalizing the values of faith, piety, and noble morals that are in line with moderate, tolerant, and inclusive characters as emphasized in P5/PPRa. The results of the study indicate that although the implementation of the program still encounters obstacles, such as minimal teacher understanding and limited facilities, this integration has begun to show a positive impact on the formation of student character. Contextual project activities are able to encourage student involvement in social and religious activities. From these findings, it is recommended that collaboration between teachers, students, and stakeholders is important in developing a curriculum that combines religious and national values to strengthen student identity in the global era

Abstract

This study examines the relationships among perceived organizational culture, leader–member exchange (LMX), organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and lecturers’ performance in Indonesian higher education. It contributes to population ecology theory by reframing inertia as an individual-level perceptual and relational mechanism under regulatory pressure rather than a firm-level survival outcome. Drawing on the population ecology perspective, the study treats organizational stability and adaptation as contextual forces shaped by coercive regulations that structure routines and norms. Using cross-sectional data and covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM; N = 240), the findings show that perceived organizational culture positively influences LMX, organizational commitment, and OCB, which in turn enhance lecturer performance. The results demonstrate how individual adaptive behaviors reflect the inertia–adaptation balance within regulated academic systems. Practically, the study informs university leaders on leveraging culture and leader–member relations to sustain lecturer performance amid regulatory constraints.

Abstract

Latar belakang : Persalinan melalui proses Section Caesarean (SC) saat ini sudah menjadi trend dikalangan para wanita, padahal risiko melahirkan secara SC lebih tinggi dibandingkan secara normal dan juga biaya persalinan metode SC lebih mahal dan meningkatkan beban negara yang seharusnya dapat dialihkan pada pembiayaan yang lain. World Health Organization (WHO) memperkirakan tahun 2018 wanita melahirkan dengan pembedahan sebanyak 35% dari seluruh persalinan hal ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor diantaranya mitos dalam persalinan, pendidikan ibu dan dukungan suami.Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor pendidikan ibu, pekerjaan ibu, dukungan suami ibu, indikasi medis, psikologi ibu nyeri persalinan, kecantikan organ intim, mitos persalinan, umur ibu dan paritas dengan kejadian persalinan seksio sesarea di Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2018.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Dengan unit analisis seluruh ibu bersalin yang berada di ruang rawat inap. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 62 responden dari tiga rumah sakit. Pengumpulan data dilakukan tanggal 17 sampai 25 Desember 2018, dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi rekam medis pasien.Hasil penelitian : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kejadian persalinan SC di Kota Banda Aceh berhubungan dengan pekerjaan ibu (P=0.038; OR=10.4 (CI=1.14-95.89)), indikasi medis (P=0,001), dukungan suami (P= 0.003; OR=86.3 (CI=4.51-1652.39)) dan mitos dalam persalinan (P=0.036; OR=0.18 (CI=0.2; 0.037-0.89)), namun tidak berhubungan dengan pendidikan ibu (P=0,182), psikologis ibu nyeri persalinan (P=0,977), kecantikan organ intim (P=0,298), umur ibu (P=0,095) dan paritas (P=0,067).Saran: Disarankan bagi pengelola Rumah Sakit memberikan penyuluhan tentang syarat-syarat pasien SC untuk memastikan bahwa ibu layak menjalani prosedur SC untuk persalinan yang akan dilalui sehingga ibu dapat mempersiapkan diri lebih baik. Rumah sakit penyedia jasa SC dapat melibatkan suami dalam proses persalinan untuk meningkatkan dukungan emosional kepada ibu.

Abstract

This article aims to explain and analyze the relationship between the recitation of Qur’anic verses and the physiological response of basil plants. Using an exploratory research type, this article examines the possibility of the influence of Qur’anic recitation on living beings other than humans, while also formulating a Qur’anic concept regarding this phenomenon within the framework of scientific interpretation (tafsir sains). The method used in this research is an experimental method by comparing two basil plant objects, namely one plant that is exposed to the recitation of the Qur’an and another plant that is not exposed to such recitation. The research process was carried out for 15 days, starting from June 3, 2025, until June 17, 2025. The results of the study show that the plant that was recited with Qur’anic verses physiologically had leaves that appeared perfectly wide, with no blackened leaves, no small holes in the leaves, and no leaves that were rotten. In contrast, the basil plant that was not exposed to the recitation of the Qur’an showed poorer conditions, indicated by curved leaves, the appearance of blackened parts of the leaves, and the presence of small holes on the surface of the leaves. These findings indicate that the concept of syifā’ in the Qur’an can be interpreted as a form of healing or remedy for various disturbances, which in the context of this study is reflected in the condition of plant leaves that are wilted, blackened, or damaged so that the plant can grow more healthily and optimally. This article contributes to enriching the body of interdisciplinary studies between Qur’anic studies and science, particularly regarding the possible influence of Qur’anic recitation on living beings other than humans.

Abstract

Menanamkan sikap cinta tanah air sejak dini merupakan landasan utama dalam membentuk karakter generasi penerus bangsa yang memiliki wawasan kebangsaan, religiusitas, dan budi pekerti luhur. Program kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan pembiasaan cinta tanah air dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan pembiasaan, keteladanan, serta kegiatan yang melibatkan partisipasi anak, seperti menyanyikan lagu nasional, mengenal lambang negara, dan melaksanakan upacara sederhana. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yakni dengan 3 (tiga) tahapan yakni tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembiasaan secara konsisten dapat menumbuhkan sikap positif anak terhadap simbol kebangsaan, memperkuat rasa bangga sebagai warga Indonesia, serta menanamkan perilaku cinta tanah air dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan demikian, pendampingan ini terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pendidikan karakter pada pendidikan anak usia dini.
