Abstract

The transformation of social media has brought about significant changes in the religious communication patterns of Indonesian Muslim communities. This study aims to understand the actual practice of applying Islamic ethics in social media communication and identify the challenges faced in its application. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with 25 urban Muslim informants, this study analyzed the data using thematic analysis techniques assisted by NVivo software. The results found that principles such as tabayyun (verification of information), ukhuwah (maintaining brotherhood), prohibition of ghibah and namimah, politeness of language, and maintaining da'wah intentions are the central values in online communication. However, the implementation of these values often faces challenges in a digital culture that tends to be fast-paced, emotionally charged, and highly competitive. This research highlights the tension between the idealism of Islamic values and the reality of social media culture, underscoring the importance of strengthening community-based Islamic digital literacy. The practical implication of this research is the need for collaboration between da'wah organizations, educational institutions, and social media platforms to build a digital space that is ethical, productive, and reflects the values of Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin.

Abstract

The development of the education system in Indonesia a teacher is required to be able to develop insight and creativity. As a teacher facilitator must be able to be creative and have various strategies that can be used in the learning process in the classroom. Teaching strategies are a way for students to master the subject matter to the fullest. But the reality in the field is not as smooth as planned. In fact, many students cannot master the subject matter, especially Biology subjects, there are still many children whose grades are under the KKM (KKM 80).The purpose of conducting classroom action research using this animation media is to improve the mastery of the material of cell division. The procedure for class action research used refers to the methodology of action research, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation and evaluation, (4) reflection, carried out in 2 cycles. Media animation is a means of delivering material using technological advances so that it can be more fun. The results of cycle 1 show that student learning outcomes in making questions and their solutions are 84.62%, and the results of the exercise in cycle 2 students' skills reach 92.86%. While the average test result of cycle 1 is 67.00 and the average test result of cycle 2 is 86.00. This shows an increase in student learning outcomes. From this class action research, it can be concluded that the animation media can improve the learning outcomes of mitosis and meiosis cell division for students of class IX D  of SMPN 3 Surabaya Odd Semester 2018-2019 Academic Year.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in education is crucial to prepare the younger generation for Industry 4.0, emphasizing on technological skills and moral values. However, challenges such as inadequate IT skills among educators and inadequate infrastructure hinder the effective use of technology in learning. This research advocates the use of multimedia, particularly 3D animation, to enhance student engagement and their understanding of complex concepts. Blender, an open-source 3D authoring tool, is highlighted for its flexibility and cost-effectiveness in producing high-quality animations. This article presents a case study of an Islamic-themed animation, "Don't Be Too Quick to Judge," created using the pose-to-pose animation method. This approach ensures clarity and consistency in conveying the moral message. The animation production process is described in three stages: pre-production (ideation, scriptwriting, storyboarding), production (modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation, rendering), and post-production (compositing, color correction, final output). This comprehensive workflow aims to show how 3D animation can be an effective educational tool.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the timing of ice compression on the onset of DOMS after submaximal exercise. This research is experimental with post-test only control group design. Thirty students of the Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University participated as subjects. Subjects were divided into three groups, control, treatment 1 hour after exercise, and 4 hours after. Submaximal exercise is done by step test. Ice compression was given for 10 minutes on subject’s front thigh muscles. DOMS pain was assessed using the VAS pain scale. The collected data were analyzed using the one way Anova test and continued with the Post Hoc LSD test. The results of the analysis using the one way Anova test showed a significant difference between the three research groups and the Post Hoc test showed no significant difference between two treatment groups, but the treatment 4 hours group had lower pain scale on VAS. Ice compression after 4 hours exercise can inhibit the macrophages which were the main immune cells for inflammatory reactions. From this study, it was concluded that the most effective timing of ice compression on the onset of DOMS was 4 hours after submaximal exercise.

Abstract

Muscle overuse during exercise increases the risk of muscle injury. L-citrulline, one of the ergogenic substances highly found in watermelon, is frequently used to reduce muscle soreness. This study aimed to compare the effects of pure L-citrulline and watermelon juice in reducing delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and muscle damage using uric acid as a marker for inflammation. A single-blind controlled trial was employed among 33 participants selected with a purposive sampling method. The participants were given either a mineral water drink containing 1.2 g of L-citrulline supplementation, 750 ml of watermelon juice, or a bottle of mineral water as a placebo administered 2-h before exercise. A multiple-sprint with a deceleration phase was used to induce DOMS. There was a significant decrease of DOMS 12 h and 24 h post-exercise with watermelon juice and pure L-citrulline (p=0.001). However, there was no significant difference in effectiveness between both forms of supplementation (p = 0.748). There were no significant changes in uric acid levels post-exercise with both forms of supplementation. Both watermelon juice and pure L-citrulline show similar effectiveness in improving subjective feelings of DOMS but fail to provide evidence of their ability to reduce muscle inflammation significantly via the reduction of uric acid levels.
