Abstract

In the era of Industrial Revolution 5.0, rapid technological changes require workers to have relevant and adaptive skills. Reskilling and upskilling are becoming important strategies in human resource (HR) development to ensure organizational competitiveness. However, the biggest challenge is how to design and implement effective training programs to deal with these changes. This study aims to explore and analyze how adaptive strategies in human resource management (HRM) can support the implementation of effective reskilling and upskilling programs in the digital era and Industrial Revolution 5.0. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection methods through in-depth interviews and questionnaires distributed to HRM professionals and employees in companies that have implemented skills training programs. This study found that companies that successfully implemented reskilling and upskilling programs experienced increased productivity and competitiveness. The success of these programs relies heavily on managerial support, an organizational culture that supports learning, and adaptive leadership that is actively involved in the planning and evaluation of training programs. Reskilling and upskilling programs designed with HRM adaptive strategies can improve workforce competencies and organizational competitiveness. Organizations need to ensure full support from management and proactive leadership in supporting employee skills development to remain relevant in the face of technological challenges.

Abstract

Background: Patient safety is a critical priority in healthcare, aiming to prevent harm and ensure optimal care delivery. Despite the inherent risks in health services, the 'to err is human' paradigm suggests that errors often stem from systemic issues rather than individual failings. Effective patient safety relies heavily on improved system design and the education of healthcare professionals with a focus on safety readiness. Integrating patient safety education into interprofessional education (IPE) frameworks is essential for fostering effective communication and teamwork, which are crucial for reducing structural system errors and enhancing care quality.Aims: To map the research landscape on patient safety and IPE, examining trends, countries, and thematic relationships within the field specifically focusing on how IPE addresses structural system errors in patient safetyMethods: This study conducts a bibliometric analysis using VOS viewer software, the analysis covers publications from January 2000 to July 2024, focusing on data from SCOPUS.Results: Results reveal a growing body of research on patient safety with IPE, highlighting notable simulation-based training and interprofessional collaboration trends. The analysis demonstrates an evolution from individual-focused approaches to system-based interventions. However, there is a clear need for more systematic and culturally nuanced studies, particularly in Southeast Asia, where research is limited. Conclusion: The findings underscore the importance of incorporating patient safety principles within IPE curricula and highlight research gaps, especially in contexts such as Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. Future research should address these gaps, explore the impact of IPE on structural system errors across diverse settings, and foster international collaboration to standardize and enhance educational practices in healthcare.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates how English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students at Institut Agama Islam Nahdlatul Ulama (IAINU) Bangil experience and utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools in their academic writing processes. Through a phenomenological approach, we conducted in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and collected written reflections from 25 English education students over four months. Our thematic analysis uncovered four primary themes that characterize their experiences: enhanced writing efficiency and productivity, valuable language learning support and scaffolding, significant challenges to critical thinking and originality, and complex ethical considerations surrounding academic integrity. While participants reported substantial improvements in writing fluency and reduced anxiety when using AI tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, and QuillBot, they simultaneously expressed concerns about potential over-dependence and the authenticity of their work. These findings illuminate the reality of AI integration in EFL writing contexts and highlight the urgent need for comprehensive institutional policies and pedagogical frameworks that can maximize benefits while addressing legitimate concerns about independent learning and academic honesty.

Among batik craftsmen, unnatural working posture is done in a long time with repetitive movements. This study aimed to determine the relationship between working posture and the incidence of neck pain in batik craftsmen. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design. Sampling was done using total sampling. The research subjects were 41 batik craftsmen who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The working posture of batik craftsmen was measured by the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). Neck pain was measured using Neck Disability Index (NDI) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Kendall's tau correlation test. The results of the study showed most of batik craftsmen working in high risk posture as appeared on 25 people. For neck pain, most of batik craftsmen was in the mild pain category as appeared on 26 people. Based on the bivariate analysis test using the Kendall's tau correlation test, the results were significant (p=0.014; r=0.358).
