Abstract

The prevalence of broken homes, characterized by parental separation, divorce, or single-parent households, poses significant challenges to adolescents' development and academic outcomes. This research explores the intricate relationship. Through a mixed-methods approach encompassing quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the study examines the mechanisms through which family disruptions influence academic functioning among adolescents. Quantitative analyses reveal significant associations between broken home conditions and lower levels of attentional control, task persistence, and academic engagement among adolescents. These findings persist even after controlling for demographic variables such as socioeconomic status and parental involvement, underscoring the independent contribution of family disruptions to academic outcomes. Qualitative insights provide rich contextual understanding of the lived experiences of adolescents in broken homes, highlighting the emotional turmoil, insecurity, and challenges they face in navigating academic demands amidst familial upheaval. The implications of these findings are far-reaching, with significant implications for educational practice, policy, and intervention efforts. By recognizing the unique needs of adolescents from broken homes and developing evidence-based strategies to support their holistic development and academic success, educators, policymakers, and stakeholders can create nurturing and inclusive environments where all adolescents have the opportunity to thrive.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study examines emotional intelligence in broken home families from the Qur'anic perspective, focusing on how they manage emotional struggles. Emotional intelligence based on the Qur'an is viewed as a solution for individuals experiencing trauma, depression, or engaging in social deviance such as promiscuity and crime. The research employs a qualitative library research method, analyzing Qur'anic verses alongside relevant publications, including journals and seminar proceedings. The thematic interpretation method (tafsir maudhu’i) is used to explore emotional intelligence in depth. Findings reveal that broken home individuals who apply Qur'anic emotional intelligence—especially self-awareness—develop inner control that leads to patience, gratitude, and forgiveness. They learn to face life with an open heart and remain steadfast (istiqomah) in building goodness. Compassion also emerges, helping reduce anxiety and emotional pressure. Ultimately, these values guide individuals to manage emotional turmoil with balance and resilience..

Abstract

Abstract

Background: The Qur’an, as a guide for the lives of Muslims to live in this world until the hereafter, certainly provides discussions on education and needs to be explored and studied. Objective: This study examines the concept of Islamic educational materials and media in the Qur’an. Method: This type of research is educational research, using qualitative methods with a thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhu’i) approach. Data was collected from library sources. The collected data was analyzed using theories of educational materials and media. Research findings: First, the verses of the Qur’an tend to emphasize the value aspects of educational materials more than the technical details of the names of disciplines. In the Qur’an, Islamic educational materials include all kinds of knowledge that discuss humans and the universe. Second, the Qur’an and Western tradition agree in discussing the concept of educational media. Anything that can be used to improve the behavior of learners should be pursued. Conclusion: This research will be doubly useful: first, it will contribute to enriching the treasury of knowledge in Islamic Religious Education, and second, it will enrich the treasury of Qur'anic exegesis. Further research can confirm whether the verses of the Qur’an align with Western traditions or not; and in which aspects they align or do not; particularly regarding the topics of Islamic education materials and media

Abstract

Modern organizational management, rooted in secular Western paradigms, achieves operational efficiency through classical functions planning, organizing, leading, and controlling yet exhibits spiritual-ethical imbalances manifesting as corruption, bureaucratic pathologies, and commercialization in Islamic education institutions. This library research employs Qur'anic content analysis on 12 thematic verses (QS. Yusuf:47-49; Ali Imran:159; Al-Mujadilah:7) to integrate classical management (Terry, Fayol) with Islamic principles (tauhid, syura, muraqabah), producing a holistic Islamic Management Cycle based on Falah for sustainable success (worldly productivity + spiritual blessing). Findings reveal: (1) tauhid (QS. Adz-Dzariyat:56) transforms organizations into worship ecosystems; (2) systematic integration yields Yusufi planning, maslahah organizing, syura leading, muraqabah controlling; (3) 4-stage Maturity Model (Diagnosis 2025→Falah 2035) with KPIs (accreditation A, taqwa 90%, employability 95%). Visualizations (Tables 1-5, Figures 1-2) provide PTIQ Jakarta's 2025-2035 blueprint, addressing 68% PTKIN governance stagnation. Recommendations target academics (empirical validation), practitioners (Renstra implementation), and policymakers (national curriculum integration), bridging Western theory-Islamic praxis gaps for falah-oriented transformation.

Abstract

Blended learning is a relevant learning model to answer the challenges of the 21st century, where technology and the internet play an important role. However, the implementation of blended learning in higher education still faces obstacles in adjusting modern educational values with spiritual values. This study aims to analyze blended learning from the perspective of the Qur'an, with a case study at University of Raharja, Tangerang City. The main challenges raised is how blended learning can be integrated with the values of the Qur'an to create holistic learning. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach of the Miles and Huberman model to systematically describe data from various references. In addition, the thematic interpretation method (tafsîr maudhû’î) is used to analyze relevant verses of the Qur'an. The results of the study indicate that blended learning is in accordance with the learning values in the Qur'an, as reflected in the stories of the prophets and verses about learning from the universe. This model has proven to be flexible, efficient, and effective, as supported by Curtis J. Bonk, Simon Krisztián, and Erica Lynn Kolat. This study also found that blended learning can be a relevant learning solution in the digital era if implemented by considering spiritual aspects. The conclusion of the study is that blended learning not only supports modern learning, but also has a strong foundation in the values of the Qur'an. This makes an important contribution to the development of higher education in Indonesia.
