Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepala sekolah sebagai inovator dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di tiga Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri di Kota Samarinda. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi inovatif yang diterapkan oleh kepala sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tiga kepala sekolah dan lima belas guru, serta observasi dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data meliputi reduksi data, tampilan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kreativitas kepala sekolah mendorong terciptanya inovasi pembelajaran dan pemanfaatan teknologi, sedangkan pendekatan integratif memperkuat kerja sama antar elemen sekolah untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Keteladanan yang ditunjukkan kepala sekolah menjadi motivasi bagi guru untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme dan berinovasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang transformasional mampu menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kolaboratif, adaptif, dan inovatif, sehingga berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan praktis bagi pengembangan strategi kepemimpinan sekolah di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji manajemen keuangan dalam peningkatan mutu sekolah berbasis rapor pendidikan di SDN 004 Bontang Barat. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pengelolaan keuangan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, terutama di tingkat sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis proses perencanaan anggaran, faktor-faktor penentu prioritas, keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan, serta efektivitas penggunaan dana dalam mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan berdasarkan hasil dari Rapor Pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil utama menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan anggaran yang cermat dan berbasis data rapor pendidikan, serta keterlibatan aktif seluruh pemangku kepentingan, berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu sekolah. Tantangan utama meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya dan kompleksitas regulasi. Kesimpulannya, manajemen keuangan yang transparan, efisien, dan akuntabel merupakan kunci dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of academic supervision on teacher performance in educational research from 2014 to 2023 using bibliometric analysis. This study used the Scopus database and the PRISMA method to search for relevant literature on academic supervision and teacher performance. The analysis used includes WordCloud, word frequency, topic trends, and thematic evolution to analyze journals and conference proceedings. This study highlights the importance of academic supervision in improving teacher performance, with a focus on knowledge development and knowledge transfer. The application of technologies, such as computer vision and convolutional neural networks, can also improve teacher performance. Gender differences in the research approach indicate the need for more in-depth analysis. This research also explores the integration of technology and language analysis, with a focus on network architecture and machine learning. However, this study has limitations, including bibliometric data that does not cover all important aspects and linguistic bias. The results suggest that academic supervision has a significant role in improving teacher performance and modern technology can be an effective tool in this process. This research encourages further development in the use of technology to support academic supervision and teacher performance.

Abstract

Mutu pendidikan menjadi salah satu indikator utama keberhasilan sistem pendidikan. Dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, model perencanaan berbasis sekolah (school-based planning) telah diimplementasikan di berbagai negara sebagai bagian dari pendekatan desentralisasi pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji literatur mengenai efektivitas model perencanaan berbasis sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Dengan metode literatur review, berbagai hasil penelitian dianalisis untuk mendapatkan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai penerapan model ini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan berbasis sekolah memberikan fleksibilitas bagi sekolah dalam menyesuaikan program sesuai dengan kebutuhan lokal, meningkatkan partisipasi pemangku kepentingan, dan mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya. Namun, keberhasilan implementasinya dipengaruhi oleh kapasitas manajerial kepala sekolah, tingkat partisipasi stakeholder, dan ketersediaan fasilitas pendukung. Artikel ini merekomendasikan penguatan kompetensi kepala sekolah, peningkatan kolaborasi stakeholder, serta pemerataan fasilitas pendidikan untuk mendukung keberhasilan model ini.

Abstract

This study focuses on the leadership of school principals at Tabang Elementary School. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered from teachers through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research findings highlight three main aspects of servant leadership: humanity, openness, and courage in facing challenges. School principals are identified not only as administrators but also as facilitators and leaders who empower the school community. These results can serve as inspiration for other schools to adopt servant leadership principles, enhance educational quality, and prepare students for the future.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of an integrative coaching-mentoring model in academic supervision to enhance teachers' pedagogical autonomy, specifically at SMP Al Azhar 48 Samarinda. The background reveals gaps in teacher professional development programs in Southeast Asia, with 70% of teachers struggling to access quality initiatives. In Indonesia, 65% of private junior high school teachers find existing supervision programs disempowering. Supervision paradigms have shifted from administrative to collaborative approaches, yet implementation remains fragmented and lacks synergistic integration of coaching and mentoring. The study addresses three research gaps: the absence of an integrated supervision model, the administrative focus of current research in Indonesian private junior high schools, and the neglect of unique Islamic school values. Employing an intrinsic qualitative case study approach , this research will explore best practices and obstacles in collaborative, personalized, and value-driven academic supervision. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving five teachers, two supervisors, and one school principal. Theoretically, this study contributes to forming a holistic supervision framework that combines instructional reflection (coaching) with sustained professional relationships (mentoring). Practically, the findings are expected to serve as an adaptive guide for similar private schools and inform policy considerations for relevant teacher supervision programs.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana yang baik dan efisien sangat penting untuk mendukung pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Masalah yang ada harus diselesaikan dengan cara yang tepat agar sarana dan prasarana dapat dimaksimalkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Studi ini akan memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis dalam bidang manajemen pendidikan dan menawarkan solusi yang dapat diterapkan oleh sekolah-sekolah dasar di Indonesia untuk mengatasi masalah yang ada dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Metode penelitian dalam tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kajian pustaka. Sumber data primer dapat berupa buku-buku teks, jurnal ilmiah, disertasi, tesis, skripsi, laporan penelitian, dan sumber-sumber tertulis lainnya yang membahas secara langsung topik penelitian. Sementara itu, sumber data sekunder dapat berupa buku-buku penunjang, artikel di media massa, website, dan sumber-sumber lain yang tidak secara langsung membahas topik penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan, membaca, dan menganalisis berbagai sumber tertulis yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan dan pengadaan sarana dan prasarana yang efektif dan efisien merupakan komponen penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Optimalisasi pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana memerlukan strategi yang komprehensif dan bekerja sama untuk mengatasi berbagai hambatan dan memaksimalkan dampak positif terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine efforts to overcome obstacles in improving teachers' performance at SMP Negeri 1 Samarinda. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.  The results showed that the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the performance of SMP Negeri 1 Samarinda teachers have succeeded in improving facilities and providing support to teachers for self-development, creating a conducive learning environment at school, and adequate facilities to provide optimal learning experiences for students. While the inhibiting factor is the Principal's importance of paying attention to facilities and support for self-development, teachers face obstacles in understanding the personality of teachers in depth. 2) Efforts to overcome obstacles in improving teacher performance are deliberations, technical guidance, MGMP, listening to suggestions from the school community, taking positive steps, and adequate facilities and infrastructure availability.

Abstract

Previous studies on madrasah management in Indonesia remain largely descriptive and fragmented, with few attempts to integrate systematic reviews with bibliometric approaches. This study fills that gap by investigating the transformation of madrasah management under the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ 2019–2024 policy framework. Using a combined Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer, we analyzed 149 academic articles published between 2015 and 2024, sourced from Scopus and Google Scholar. The findings reveal strong thematic concentrations on transformational leadership, strategic management, digital governance, and stakeholder participation, but also highlight persistent challenges such as regional disparities, weak policy implementation, and limited data-driven evaluation. Theoretically, this study contributes to the development of Islamic education management by contextualizing TQM, strategic management, and transformational leadership frameworks in the Indonesian madrasah context. Practically, it provides evidence-based recommendations for leadership training, equitable resource allocation, and inclusive digital transformation to support sustainable madrasah reform.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the principal's academic supervision in increasing teacher professionalism. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were principals, vice principals, and teachers. The results showed that the implementation of academic supervision by the principal was based on the need to overcome the problems of learning devices, lesson plans, learning materials, classroom management, assessment of learning outcomes, teacher discipline, and implementation of character education. In order for supervision to be carried out effectively, the principal seeks to build good relationships with teachers by fostering a sense of kinship, communicating with each other and providing information, providing motivation, and being an example for teachers. The supervision activities carried out are: 1) the supervisor and the teacher enter the classroom; 2) the teacher explains to the students the purpose of the supervisor's arrival; 3) the supervisor observes the teacher's appearance by using the observation assessment format that has been made and agreed upon; 4) during the observation the supervisor focuses on the contract agreement with the teacher.
