Abstract

ABSTRACT    Color is one reason  of ornamental that are  demand by the community so that farmers need to maintain the color of ornamental fish by feeding which contains color pigments. The effort taken to get a bright color that is evenly distributed to fish is to add a source of pigment to the feed. The ornamental fish business is not enough to rely only on efforts to spur the production of ornamental fish, but it needs to be accompanied by efficient steps regarding the appearance of color beauty, for this reason we need feed added with carrot flour and pumpkin to improve the quality of the color. The method that will be used in this study is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) of one factor which consists of 4 levels of treatment with three replications so that it takes 12 experimental units. Each treatment is: P0 =  100% pellet, Pı = Pellet 95% + 5% carrot flour, P2 = Pellet 95% + 5% pumpkin flour, Pɜ = Pellet 95% + 2.5% carrot flour + Pumpkin flour yellow 2.5%. Parameters observed included changes in color quality, absolute weight growth, absolute long-term growth, survival rate and water quality (pH, temperature, DO and Ammonia. The results showed that the best treatment for color quality improvement was takari + carrot pellets 2.5% + pumpkin 2.5%, while takari pellet + 5% pumpkin is best for increasing absolute weight growth (0.273 grams), absolute length growth (0.530 cm) and 100% survival rate. Feeding from takari pellets + 2.5% carrot flour + pumpkin 2.5 % can be applied to efforts to improve the quality of color for ornamental fish farmers,Water quality parameters during the study such as water temperature ranging from 27.2-28.5 oC, acidity (pH) water 6.7-7.6, dissolved oxygen content (DO) between 5.1- 7,4mg / L and ammonia between 0,000 - 0,046mg / L. Values of water quality parameters during the study still supports for the life and growth of platy fish fry sword. Keywords: Staining; Artificial Feed; Carrot; Summer squash; Platy Sword (Xyphophorus helleri)

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study was to determine the best time administration of papain doses best on commercial clothes to increase the growth of nilem fish seeds (Osteochilus hasselti).in recirculation systems. Culture vessel in the form of aquarium of 60 x 40 x 40 centimeters of 15 aquarium with stocking density of 11 fish/m3. This research was using experimental method by completely random design (RAL) one factor with five treatments and three replicationsThe treatment applied was the feeding of the enzyme containing papain with different dosages: P0= without the addition of the papain enzyme, P1=the addition of the enzyme papain 1,25%/kg of feed, P2=the addition of the enzyme papain 2,25%/kg of feed, P3= the addition of the enzyme papain 3,25%/kg of feed and P4= the addition of the enzyme papain 4,25%/kg of feed. The results showed that the addition of rElGH in feed, showed highly significant effect (P<0.05) on the total weight, total length, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and no significant effect (p>0.05) to survival rate. The best growth rates was found in treatment P1 with total weight: 5.75±0.02gram, total length: 4.06±0.05 cm, specific growth rate: 4.32±0.02% per day, feed conversion  ratio: 1.23±0.01and survival rate: 100±0.00%.Keywords:Nilem fish, Papain Enzyme

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the combination of natural food with the best artificial feed for growth and survival of maanvis fish (Pterophyllumscalare). The method of this research was using the experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) by using one factor of 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. The combination of feed in treatment is: 1: 100% Tubifexsp, 2: 75% Tubifex sp. + 25% pellets, 3: 50% Tubifex sp. + 50% pellets, 4: 25% Tubifex sp. + 75% pellets, and 5: 100% pellets. The fry size was around 2-4 cm and weight was 1,32 g then reared in the aquarium by 10 L of water and 10 fishes of stocking density each aquarium. The fish were reared for 40 days and feed is given as much as 10% of biomass weight, e times a day of feeding frequency.Parameters observed included absolute length and weight growth, specific growth rates, survival rates and water quality. The results showed that the best treatment was 100% Tubifexsp by giving absolute weight growth for 1,76 g, absolute longevity for 2,06 cm, specific growth rate for 1.91% and fish survival for 98%. The conclusion is different types of natural diets significantly affect the growth performance, and survival rate of maanvis fish (Pterophyllumscalare). Keywords: natural and artificial feed; Growth; Survival rate; Maanvis; Pterophyllumscalare

Abstract

ABSTRACTHemibagrus nemurus is one type of freshwater fish that is the mainstay of fisheries commodities in Riau Province. The presence of an anti-nutritional factor called phytic acid in feed causes less optimal utilization of feed protein. One effort to overcome this is by adding phytase enzymes in the feed so that it is expected to inhibit anti-nutritional substances and increase feed protein absorption. The research was carried out from October to November 2019 at the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. This study aims to determine the effect and dose of phytase enzymes added to feed for growth and survival of baung. The method used was experiment of Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with one factor, four treatments and three replications. The treatment used P0: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 0 mg/kg, P1: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 500 mg/kg, P2: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 1000 mg/kg, P3: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 1500 mg/kg. The parameters observed were the absolute weight growth, absolute length, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that feeding with the addition of the phytase enzyme had an effect on the growth of baung fish. The best treatment was P2 (feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 1000 mg/kg) with an absolute weight of 4.75 g, an absolute length of 2.22 cm, a specific growth rate of 1.90%, feed efficiency 77.86%, and a survival rate of 95. 55%. The results of water quality measurements during the study were temperature 26-27.3 oC, pH 6-7, DO 4.12-5.57 mg/L and ammonia 0.03-0.09 mg/L.Keywords: Hemibagrus nemurus, Phytase Enzyme, Phytic Acid, Growth, Survival Rate
