Abstract

Transformational leadership, as one of the most studied leadership theories, has great potential to support and strengthen the implementation of multicultural education. Transformational leadership is characterized by a leader's ability to inspire, motivate and empower followers to achieve positive change and improved performance. Multicultural education is urgently implemented in Indonesia by considering the diversity of cultures, ethnicities, races and religions that surround it. This article discusses a school leadership model that is expected to design, foster, implement and maintain a multicultural culture in schools which in turn can form students' personalities who are friendly and respectful of differences and diversity. The author uses the literature study method by reviewing 20 journals divided into 10 national and 10 international journals. Data collection is done by sorting reference sources and scientific literature related to theories of school leadership, transformational leadership models and multicultural education, then reviewing and analyzing and presenting them in a systematic arrangement. The conclusion in this article states that transformational leadership by school principals is very important to improve the quality of education and encourage continuous improvement in schools. Principals' exemplary behaviors, such as punctuality, cleanliness and proactive problem-solving, earn them respect and positively influence school culture. Multicultural leadership in schools is interpreted as the extent to which principals implement policies, regulations and initiatives that promote a multicultural culture that is not limited to written documents but also includes the enforcement of rules and regulations.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe and analyze the laboratory management in food management laboratories and evaluate the supporting and inhibiting factors in laboratory management that affect the quality of practical sessions. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results show that the management of food management laboratories includes planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. Supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the quality of practical sessions are analyzed based on aspects of planning, implementation, practical session evaluation, laboratory human resources, facilities and infrastructure, as well as the timing of practical activities. In conclusion, the application of laboratory management functions in food management laboratories is generally effective, although some challenges remain. Supporting factors for practical session quality include well-prepared practical session planning, the presence of lecturers and laboratory assistants during practical sessions, student participation in maintaining laboratory cleanliness, competent teaching staff, availability of facilities and infrastructure, and sufficient time for practical activities. Inhibiting factors include the absence of practical session guidelines, limited practical session time, suboptimal human resource ratios, and the need for improvements in both the quality and quantity of laboratory facilities and infrastructure. Abstract

This study is motivated by the prevalent issue of a high number of postgraduate students in higher education struggling to complete their studies on time. This phenomenon not only impacts individual students but also affects the overall efficiency of institutional management in higher education. The study aims to analyze the factors influencing study completion. Employing a quantitative approach, this research applies the SMARTER (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique Exploiting Rank) method. Internal factors, including competence, learning motivation, intelligence, attitude, and aptitude, as well as external factors such as family support and institutional services, were assessed through questionnaire data and weighted using the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) technique. The findings reveal that attitude (particularly the initiative for independent learning) is the most influential internal factor, while institutional factors such as coursework services and thesis supervision significantly impact study completion rates. The study concludes that strengthening personal attributes, such as the initiative for self-directed learning, and enhancing institutional support systems, including effective supervisory services, are critical in reducing study duration. These findings provide practical contributions for designing strategic interventions to improve student success and optimize academic program management in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the practice of inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL). This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Information sources were gathered from teachers, parents, and the school principal through semi-structured interviews. Observations were conducted using a non-participatory method, where the researcher acted as an observer of the implementation of inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur, encompassing the diversity of student practices. Documentation was collected from data on student diversity, supporting facilities for inclusive learning activities, and records of inclusive education evaluation results. Data analysis techniques employed triangulation, involving data collection, data reduction, verification, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur is implemented through various strategies that support student diversity, including differentiated learning, multicultural classrooms, and innovative learning technologies. The positive impacts of inclusive education include students’ social development and increased student participation. This study recommends strengthening collaboration with external parties, enhancing teacher training, and developing policies that support the sustainability of inclusive education at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education has become a strategic agenda to improve the quality and accessibility of learning in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the policy of Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel Regulation No. 7607/B.B1/HK.03/2023, which focuses on technology-based performance management for teachers and school principals, and its implications for learning quality. The research employs the Literature Review method with data retrieved from Lens.org. The findings reveal that the policy provides a transparent and accountable framework; however, its implementation faces several challenges, such as gaps in technological infrastructure and digital literacy in remote areas. The policy's impact is more pronounced in urban areas with better access to technology compared to rural regions. This study recommends enhancing infrastructure, digital literacy training, and sustainable technical support to ensure the success of digital transformation in education. With inclusive and sustainable implementation, this policy has significant potential to improve educators' professionalism and learning quality.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peran filsafat ilmu pendidikan dalam pengembangan profesionalisme guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Filsafat ilmu pendidikan memberikan landasan teori yang mendalam mengenai tujuan, nilai, dan pendekatan pendidikan yang diperlukan untuk menciptakan guru yang profesional. Guru PAUD yang memahami filsafat pendidikan dapat menerapkan nilai-nilai etis dalam proses pembelajaran, membentuk karakter anak sejak dini, serta meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan sosial mereka. Selain itu, artikel ini juga menyoroti pentingnya pemikiran reflektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Dengan refleksi yang berkelanjutan, guru dapat mengevaluasi praktik mengajarnya dan mengadaptasi metode yang lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Kesimpulannya, filsafat pendidikan memiliki kontribusi besar dalam membentuk guru PAUD yang profesional dan dapat menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif, inklusif, dan bermakna bagi perkembangan anak

Abstract

Filsafat memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk karakter siswa di era modern, di tengah tantangan globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana filsafat pendidikan dapat digunakan sebagai landasan untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai moral, etika, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dan reflektif dalam diri siswa. Melalui pendekatan filosofis, siswa dapat memahami pentingnya nilai-nilai seperti keadilan, tanggung jawab, dan toleransi, yang sangat relevan dalam kehidupan sosial yang semakin kompleks. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pendidikan berbasis filsafat dapat mendorong siswa untuk tidak hanya menghafal nilai-nilai, tetapi juga menginternalisasinya melalui pemahaman yang mendalam. Selain itu, filsafat membantu membentuk empati, kepedulian sosial, dan pengembangan karakter siswa, yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam implementasi, seperti keterbatasan waktu dan pengaruh negatif teknologi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan metode pengajaran yang tepat, filsafat dapat memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan berbasis filsafat perlu diperkuat dalam kurikulum pendidikan untuk menciptakan generasi muda yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademis, tetapi juga memiliki integritas, empati, dan tanggung jawab sosial

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of the "Talaqiyyān Fikriyyān" method in developing moral and religious aspects in early childhood at PAUD Al-Akram. Through a systematic research method focused on collecting valid qualitative data, it is expected to make a significant contribution to the understanding and practice of religious education for young children. The Talaqiyyān Fikriyyān method, which focuses on the integrative instillation of moral and religious values through a reflective thinking approach, is anticipated to provide a strong foundation for character formation in children. This approach emphasizes not only memorization but also a deep understanding that aligns with the cognitive development level of early childhood. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is obtained through observations, interviews with educators, and documentation of learning activities at PAUD Al-Akram. The results indicate that the application of the Talaqiyyān Fikriyyān method is effective in fostering children's basic understanding of moral and religious concepts, such as honesty, responsibility, and respect for others. Additionally, this method enhances children's motivation to apply these values in their daily lives through enjoyable and interactive learning experiences. The implications of this research suggest that the Talaqiyyān Fikriyyān method has great potential to be implemented in other early childhood education institutions to support the formation of good character from an early age. This research produces outputs in the form of: (1) a scientific publication in a nationally accredited Sinta 4 journal that describes data on the implementation of the Talaqiyyān Fikriyyān method in developing early childhood capabilities in the aspects of religious and moral values; (2) a "Talaqiyyān Fikriyyān" learning model that can be applied to develop all aspects of child development at PAUD Al-Akram

Abstract

Kepemimpinan partisipatif telah menjadi topik yang semakin populer dalam konteks pendidikan. Gaya kepemimpinan ini melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari anggota tim atau kelompok dalam pengambilan keputusan dan perencanaan. Dalam konteks pendidikan, kepemimpinan partisipatif dapat berdampak signifikan pada kinerja guru. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif terhadap kinerja guru di konteks pendidikan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, penelitian ini akan menganalisis sejauh mana partisipasi guru dalam pengambilan keputusan memengaruhi motivasi, keterlibatan, dan hasil kerja mereka. Data akan dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan teknik statistik. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik manajemen pendidikan yang lebih efektif, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui penerapan gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe the development of operational curriculum at State Junior High School 1 Mantup. Methods: This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Presenting descriptive data with interview, observation and documentation methods. Results: The result of this study is that State Junior High School 1 Mantup adds local content in accordance with the Governor's regulation and the Lamongan Regent Regulation. The local content is Javanese and Arabic which must be included in the curriculum structure. The project of strengthening the student profile of Pancasila as a compulsory subject also takes themes that are tailored to the characteristics of the school and regional characteristics. Habituation activities that can improve student character are also made mandatory programs at school. Novelty: The novelty of this research is the addition of the Tahfidz Al Qur'an program that is included in the structure of the division of class hours. This becomes a subject and extracurricular program that must be followed by Muslim students. This is a differentiator from public junior high schools in Lamongan Regency.
