Abstract

Educational supervision is a crucial component in efforts to improve the quality of learning and develop teacher professionalism in educational institutions. This study aims to comprehensively examine the concept of educational supervision, encompassing its definition, objectives, functions, principles, types, and the roles of principals and supervisors in its implementation. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, data were obtained through analysis of various relevant literature, books, and documents. The study results indicate that educational supervision is not merely administrative oversight, but rather a form of ongoing professional development. Supervision must be conducted with scientific, democratic, cooperative, constructive, practical, objective, and sustainable principles. Types of supervision include academic, administrative, clinical, and individual and group supervision. Principals and supervisors play a strategic role in implementing humanistic and communicative supervision, thereby encouraging teachers to improve their competence and the quality of the learning process and outcomes. Therefore, a proper understanding and implementation of the concept of educational supervision is essential to support the improvement of educational quality in schools.

Abstract

School administrative governance plays a fundamental role in ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of educational management. Well-organized administrative procedures function not merely as technical routines, but also as a strategic support system for decision-making, accountability, and quality educational services. This article aims to examine the role of school administrative governance in enhancing the effectiveness of educational management and to identify adaptive administrative practices in response to contemporary challenges. This study employs a qualitative approach through literature review and descriptive analysis of school administrative practices. The findings indicate that systematic, transparent, and collaborative administrative governance significantly supports overall school performance, enhances the professionalism of educational staff, and fosters an orderly and conducive school climate. These results emphasize that strengthening school administrative governance should be positioned as a strategic component in improving educational quality.

Abstract

Educational supervision is an essential strategy for improving the quality of learning and teacher professionalism. The development of the supervision paradigm indicates a shift from an authoritative control approach to a collaborative, reflective, and humanistic professional development process. This article aims to examine the concept of educational supervision, including its definition, objectives, functions, principles, scope, and implementation challenges in schools. This article is based on a literature review by analyzing various expert opinions and relevant research findings. The results show that educational supervision plays a role as a continuous professional development process that supports the improvement of teachers’ pedagogical and professional competencies as well as the quality of learning. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as limited supervisor competence, negative teacher perceptions, high administrative burdens, limited time, and weak follow-up actions. Therefore, systematic efforts are needed to enhance the effectiveness of educational supervision in order to contribute significantly to improving educational quality.

Abstract

Personnel administration is a crucial aspect of educational management, particularly in efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the performance of educators (teachers) and educational staff (staff). Teachers and school staff are key assets in carrying out the teaching and learning process and administrative services within the school environment. Therefore, personnel administration management, which includes workforce needs planning, recruitment, placement, training, performance appraisal, promotion, and dismissal, is carried out systematically and continuously. Therefore, it is crucial to continuously improve the quality of teacher and staff personnel administration through appropriate policies. The main goal is to ensure that every employee, both educational and non-educational, can work according to their abilities and responsibilities to achieve educational goals.

Abstract

Administration plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth implementation of activities across various sectors, including government, private, education, and community organizations. The development of implementation guidelines aims to establish orderly, effective, efficient, and accountable management of activities. Through these guidelines, each stage of activity—ranging from planning, implementation, to evaluation—can be systematically documented, thereby supporting transparency and improving organizational performance.

Abstract

The entire set of actions taken to achieve a goal-from organizing to managing everything-is called administration. Exercises such as taking notes, writing letters, and other comparative exercises are undeniably referred to as administration. Every business, office, and organization has an arrangement framework because of this. Where professionals referred to as administrators or administrative staff carry out these responsibilities. The writing of this paper uses a concentration of writing on strategies with the method of gathering information through literature studies obtained from books, and articles in diaries related to the topic and discussion. The term "educational administration" can be used to describe the never-ending process that involves determining and implementing various strategies to provide efficient and effective education. Therefore, "the process of overseeing the acquisition, management, and evaluation of educational materials in educational institutions" is referred to as "educational administration". The phrase "instructional organization" alludes to the most common way of planning substitutes to perform various tasks to fulfill the instructional mission of the ongoing vital drive. The term "educational administration" comes from the combination of the words "administration" and "education", which are the two words that make up educational administration. In other words, educational administration is used in the field of education to enable the achievement of educational goals. This is the main purpose of educational administration.

Abstract

Abstract: Bullying in Malaysian secondary schools is a serious issue with the prevalence of cases continuing to increase and adversely affecting the mental health of adolescents. At SAM Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Selangor, Malaysia it was found that more than 30% of stu-dents still consider bullying to be a normal social dynamic. This service aims to raise awareness of the dangers of bullying, equip school residents with social-emotional skills, and create a safe and inclusive school environment. The method used in the PkM-International Partnership uses a holistic approach that combines anti-bullying education and psychosocial reinforcement for four days for 219 students. The implementation strategy includes interactive workshops, case discussions, role-play simulations, and educational poster creation. The results of the service showed a significant increase in participants' understanding with an increase in the average score from 2.99 to 3.74 (25.10%). The real impact of this activity is the strengthening of anti-bullying literacy and the formation of a more responsive internal school mechanism to build a school cul-ture that is free of violence and compassion. Di SAM Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Selangor, Malaysia ditemukan bahwa lebih dari 30% siswa masih menganggap perundungan sebagai dinamika sosial yang wajar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan bahaya perundungan, membekali warga sekolah dengan keterampilan sosial-emosional, serta menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan inklusif. Metode yang digunakan dalam PkM-Kemitraan Internasional ini menggunakan pendekatan holistik yang memadukan edukasi anti-bullying dan penguatan psikososial selama empat hari terhadap 219 peserta didik. Strategi pelaksanaan mencakup workshop interaktif, diskusi kasus, simulasi role-play, dan pembuatan poster edukasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pemahaman peserta dengan kenaikan skor rata-rata dari 2,99 menjadi 3,74 (25,10%). Dampak nyata dari kegiatan ini adalah penguatan literasi anti-bullying serta terbentuknya mekanisme internal sekolah yang lebih responsif guna membangun budaya sekolah yang bebas kekerasan dan penuh kasih sayang. Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe and analyze the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering students' morals through the cult of Dzuhur Prayer and evaluate the role of the cult in improving the morality of students at SMA Muhammadiyah Darul Arqom Karanganyar for the 2024/2025 academic year. Theoretical framework: This research is based on the theory of character education and moral development in Islam, which emphasizes the importance of examples, habituation, and spiritual approaches in shaping students' personalities and behaviors. Literature review: The literature review includes a study of the methods of moral development in Islamic education, the role of cults in non-formal learning, and the importance of spiritual approaches in shaping the character of students. Methods: This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction techniques, inductive approaches, and conclusion drawing and verification. Results: The results of the study show that teachers apply strategies in the form of contextual material delivery, examples, and moral habituation in daily life. Kultum is effective in increasing moral awareness and improving students' attitudes in the school environment. Implications: This study emphasizes the importance of cult as a medium for strategic moral development in Islamic education, as well as encouraging the strengthening of spiritual approaches in shaping students' character as a whole. Novelty: The uniqueness of this research lies in its focus on the cult of Dhuhr Prayer as a systematic approach to the moral development of students in secondary school, which has not been discussed in depth in contemporary Islamic education studies.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore the implementation of George R. Terry's management principles, which include the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising, in the management of the learning curriculum at the Tahfidzul Qur'an Bilal bin Rabah Islamic Boarding School, Sukoharjo. Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework in this study refers to the four management functions of George R. Terry: planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. as a foundation in managing the organization effectively, including in the context of pesantren education. Literature review: The literature review in this study covers education management theory, particularly George R. Terry's managerial principles, as well as previous studies that discuss the implementation of management in religious-based educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools. Methods: This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The main informants consist of the head of the pesantren and the management staff. Data analysis is carried out through interactive methods that include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. Results: The results of the study show that the implementation of George R. Terry's management principles has been well implemented in this Islamic boarding school, as can be seen from the planned curriculum structure, clear organization, implementation of learning methods such as talaqqi, and murojaah, and supervision carried out through memorization evaluation and monitoring of student activities. However, there are still obstacles in the form of limited competent human resources, lack of innovation in learning methods, and evaluation systems that have not been digitized. Implications: It is necessary to strengthen human resources, innovate methods, and digitize evaluations to improve the quality of pesantren education. Novelty: Offers a new perspective on the application of classical management in the tahfidz pesantren curriculum system.
