Abstract

The Mukhtasar of Ibn Abi Jamrah on Sahih al-Bukhari is a condensed hadith compilation intended to present prophetic traditions in a concise and accessible form. This study examines selected hadiths in the manuscript, focusing on three main themes: the virtue of reciting basmalah, the ethical significance of smiling, and descriptions of human conditions on the Day of Judgment. It also analyzes the simplification of the chains of transmission (sanad) as a distinctive methodological feature of the text. This research employs a qualitative library-based method using hadith content analysis. The findings indicate that the hadiths contained in the Mukhtasar are primarily derived from Sahih al-Bukhari but are presented in a shortened format, often without complete chains of narration. Such simplification reflects a pedagogical orientation aimed at facilitating understanding, memorization, and practical application of Islamic teachings among a broader audience. In terms of substance, the hadiths on basmalah emphasize divine protection and blessings in everyday activities, the hadiths on smiling highlight the importance of social ethics and moral conduct, and the hadiths concerning the Day of Judgment strengthen belief in the afterlife and divine justice. Overall, this study demonstrates that the Mukhtasar of Ibn Abi Jamrah functions not merely as a summary of hadiths but as a didactic work that contributes to the formation of moral character and spiritual awareness through a simplified yet meaningful presentation of prophetic teachings.

Abstract

The training and mentoring program on developing AI based teaching materials in Ogan Ilir aims to enhance the competencies of Social Studies (IPS) teachers in creating innovative and relevant learning resources aligned with current educational technology developments. This program consists of outreach activities, training sessions, and two days of intensive mentoring designed to help teachers utilize artificial intelligence (AI) in designing and producing engaging and interactive digital teaching materials. As an initial step, participants took a pretest to measure their baseline understanding of AI applications in teaching material development. During the training, participants received materials through interactive sessions, group discussions, and hands on practice using various AI tools to create learning content. At the end of the program, a posttest was conducted to evaluate participants’ competency improvement, with the results showing a significant increase in their technopedagogical skills. The program continued with monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the implementation of the training outcomes in each school. Overall, this activity strengthened the ability of Social Studies teachers to effectively integrate AI in developing teaching materials, thereby improving the quality of the learning process.

Abstract

Kerajaan Sriwijaya merupakan salah satu kerajaan maritim terbesar di Asia Tenggara yang memiliki peran penting dalam membangun jaringan perdagangan dan hubungan diplomatik di wilayah Nusantara pada abad ke-7 hingga abad ke-13 Masehi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bentuk, karakter, dan dampak hubungan diplomatik Sriwijaya dengan kerajaan-kerajaan lain di kepulauan Indonesia, seperti Melayu, Tarumanegara, Kalingga, Kutai, dan Medang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis sumber primer dan sekunder, termasuk prasasti, catatan perjalanan asing, dan penelitian historis modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sriwijaya menjalin hubungan diplomatik melalui strategi politik, perdagangan, keagamaan, dan pendidikan. Diplomasi tersebut berdampak pada terbentuknya jaringan ekonomi maritim yang kuat, penyebaran agama Buddha, serta lahirnya integrasi budaya di kawasan Nusantara. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa hubungan diplomatik Sriwijaya menjadi fondasi awal bagi terbentuknya identitas geopolitik dan budaya maritim Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the strengths of Islam is the abundance of historical artifacts and research that we can find. In this regard, Islam provides guidance and teachings on healing using natural ingredients and prayers based on the Holy Qur`an. In this article, one form of traditional medicine is found in the Al-Mujarobat manuscript. This manuscript explains the meaning of a good life from the perspective of Islamic teachings, with the most interesting aspect being the discussion of traditional medicine along with its prayer guidelines. The research in this article uses a historical research method that includes heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The analysis in this article also involves philological studies as a specialized field in manuscript analysis. The findings of this research indicate that Islamic medical guidelines always follow the instructions of the Qur`an in seeking healing, performing therapy, and consuming medications.

Abstract

Periode Khulafaur Rasyidin (632-661 M) merupakan periode krusial dalam sejarah Islam, menandai peralihan kekuasaan setelah wafatnya Nabi Muhammad. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan Islam pada masa pemerintahan empat khalifah pertama, yaitu Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq, Umar bin Khattab, Utsman bin Affan, dan Ali bin Abi Thalib. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kajian pustaka, dengan menelaah berbagai sumber sejarah dan literatur Islam, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Abu Bakar berfokus pada pemulihan stabilitas masyarakat melalui pemberantasan kemurtadan dan kodifikasi Al Qur'an. Pada masa pemerintahan Umar bin Khattab, wilayah Islam berkembang pesat di Persia, Suriah, dan Mesir, disertai dengan pembentukan sistem administrasi pemerintahan. Utsman bin Affan menekankan standarisasi manuskrip Al-Qur'an dan ekspansi ke Afrika Utara dan Armenia. Meskipun era Ali bin Abi Thalib diwarnai oleh konflik internal, beliau tetap menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai keadilan dan ilmu pengetahuan. Kepemimpinan keempat khalifah ini pada akhirnya meletakkan fondasi yang kokoh bagi peradaban Islam yang berlandaskan keadilan, ketertiban, dan tauhid. Katakunci: Khalifah, Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq, Umar bin Khattab, Utsman bin Affan, Ali bin Abi Thalib, peradaban Islam.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the underutilization of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Museum as an educational tourism site and a resource for local historical education, despite its substantial collections on the Palembang Darussalam Sultanate, colonialism, and South Sumatran culture. This study aims to clarify the use of the museum as an educational tour, analyze its role as a repository of local historical knowledge, and identify challenges and opportunities for its improvement within the context of history education in schools. The study employed a descriptive qualitative methodology, using data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman framework. The findings reveal that the SMB II Museum has implemented educational tours through guided tours, cultural workshops, and thematic exhibitions that provide contextual learning experiences for students. Nonetheless, the museum's usage has been subpar due to insufficient facilities, a lack of innovative collection display, limited engagement from schools, and poor communication between the museum and educational institutions. These findings highlight the imperative of modernizing educational media, improving collaboration between museums and schools, and securing local government support to ensure the museum functions effectively as a center for local history education.

Abstract

The present study aims to compare the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of Mu’ta as described in Nasrudin Taha’s work on Islamic Education. The problem examined in this study concerns the importance of understanding the differences in characteristics, strategies, as well as the moral and spiritual lessons of these two historical events within the context of teaching Islamic history. A comparative study is needed because both battles reflect different situations and dynamics, yet each contains important educational values for shaping the character of Muslim learners. The purpose of this research is to identify the similarities and differences between the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of Mu’ta, and to explore the relevance of their historical values in Islamic education. This study employs library research with a qualitative–descriptive approach, in which data are analyzed from Nasrudin Taha’s text along with other supporting sources. The findings show that the Battle of Uhud emphasizes lessons on obedience and the consequences of internal strategic negligence, whereas the Battle of Mu’ta highlights steadfastness and courage in facing an enemy of significantly greater strength. Both battles contribute meaningfully to the development of leadership, faith, and discipline within Islamic education.
