Abstract

Subjective well-being offers a meaningful lens to understand how individuals perceive their lives, particularly among youth in urban slums who face multiple structural barriers. This study examines the the relationship of self-efficacy and spirituality with subjective well-being among 385 young people aged 23–30 in slum settlements in Cipayung District, Depok. The research employed a quantitative approach using descriptive statistics, Kendall’s tau-b correlation, and odds ratio analysis. Results show that 80.0 percent of respondents were classified as having low subjective well-being. Both self-efficacy (p = 0.000) and spirituality (p = 0.002) were significantly associated with higher subjective well-being. The odds ratio for high self-efficacy was 5.44 (95% CI: 3.00–9.88), and for high spirituality was 2.10 (95% CI: 1.26–3.50). These findings highlight the importance of strengthening internal psychological capacities, such as belief in one’s abilities and spiritual orientation, to improve youth well-being in marginalized urban communities.

Abstract

Abstract Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) is a key pillar in financing regional development. In Bandung City, discrepancies between revenue targets and actual realization remain a challenge to effective fiscal planning. This study aims to develop a predictive model for monthly PAD achievement using the XGBoost algorithm, known for its strength in handling non-linear and complex data. The dataset, obtained from the Bandung Revenue Agency (Bapenda), includes various types of regional taxes from 2018 to 2024. The research process involved data cleaning, feature engineering, data splitting, model training, and performance evaluation using MAE, RMSE, and R² metrics. The evaluation on test data resulted in MAE of IDR 5.6 billion, RMSE of IDR 9.3 billion, and R² of 73%. Meanwhile, 5-fold cross-validation yielded MAE of IDR 3.49 billion, RMSE of IDR 6.65 billion, and R² of 86%. These results demonstrate high accuracy and generalization capability. XGBoost proves to be a reliable decision-support tool for data-driven fiscal planning.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology each year has driven digital transformation across various sectors, including healthcare services. One significant innovation is the digitalization of patient registration processes, which were previously conducted manually and often resulted in long queues and inefficiency. This study aims to develop and implement an Android and web-based registration system at the Dental and Oral Therapist Clinic of Bambang Hariyadi, Amd.Kes, in order to enhance efficiency and improve the patient experience. The system development method includes needs analysis through interviews and literature studies, user interface and system architecture design, implementation of both mobile and web applications, and evaluation based on user feedback. The application allows patients to independently register, schedule appointments, and receive periodic treatment reminders through their mobile devices or computers. Evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in registration efficiency, reduced waiting times, and increased patient satisfaction with the clinic’s services. Therefore, the implementation of this system is considered effective in supporting the digitalization of registration services in healthcare facilities, particularly in dental and oral therapy practices.

Abstract

Background: A major challenge in Indonesian education system is the continued dominance of exam questions that primarily assess basic thinking skills, such as remembering and understanding. In order to effectively nurture students with critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills, the integration of higher-order thinking questions has become increasingly urgent. An effective conceptual framework that can be utilized in this regard is Revised Bloom's Taxonomy (BT). This framework classifies cognitive skills into 6 levels, namely remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create. Furthermore, the framework is particularly important as it promotes the development of exam questions that transcend lower-level thinking skills, fostering a deeper and higher level of understanding among students. In this context, automated systems powered by deep learning (DL) have shown promising accuracy in classifying questions based on BT levels, thereby offering practical support for educators aiming to design more meaningful and intellectually stimulating assessments.  Objective: This research aims to develop a classification system that can effectively classify Indonesian exam questions based on BT using IndoBERT pretrained models. These models were combined with Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) classifiers (referred to as IndoBERT-CNN and IndoBERT-LSTM) to determine the model with the highest performance.   Methods: The dataset utilized was self-collected and underwent several stages of preparation, including expert labeling and splitting. Furthermore, preprocessing was conducted to ensure the dataset was consistent and free from irrelevant features related to case folding, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. Hyperparameter fine-tuning was subsequently carried out on IndoBERT, IndoBERT-CNN, and IndoBERT-LSTM. Model performance was evaluated using Accuracy, F-Measure, Precision, and Recall.  Results: The fine-tuned IndoBERT model results showed that IndoBERT-LSTM outperformed IndoBERT-CNN. The optimal hyperparameter configuration, batch size of 64 and learning rate of 5e-5, showed the highest performance, achieving Accuracy of 88.75%, Precision of 85%, Recall of 88%, and F-Measure of 86%.  Conclusion: IndoBERT, IndoBERT-CNN, and IndoBERT-LSTM reflected promising results, although the performance of the models was significantly affected by respective architectures and hyperparameter settings. Among the three observed models, IndoBERT was found to perform best with smaller batch sizes and moderate learning rates. IndoBERT-CNN achieved stronger results with a higher learning rate and similar batch sizes. IndoBERT-LSTM recorded the highest accuracy with larger batch sizes for gradient stability. However, IndoBERT was constrained by its focus on Indonesian language, and the interpretability of the predictions made, specifically in relation to expert-labeled data, remained unclear.  Keywords: Bloom’s Taxonomy, CNN, Hyperparameter Fine-Tuning, IndoBERT, LSTM, Question Classification

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of local wisdom and economic dynamics in the historical area of Al-Zaytun from the perspective of da'wah (Islamic propagation) and education. This area not only holds historical value but also serves as a center for religious, social, and economic activities based on local values. The research method used is a qualitative study with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings of the study indicate that: 1) Local Wisdom as a Socio-Cultural Foundation: The historical area of Al-Zaytun possesses strong elements of local wisdom, such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong), tolerance, and appreciation for spiritual and traditional values. These values shape the community into one that is ethical and religious in character. 2) The Role of Economy in Da'wah and Education: Economic activities flourishing around Al-Zaytun ranging from agriculture to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as services contribute significantly to local economic development. These activities also serve as a medium for da'wah bil hal (preaching through actions) and support the self-reliance of Islamic educational institutions. 3) Integration of Da'wah, Education, and Economy: Al-Zaytun is not only a center of religious education but also a hub for economic and social empowerment. This model demonstrates the synergy between da'wah, education, and a local wisdom-based economy, which can serve as a development model for other Islamic historical regions in Indonesia. 4) Dynamics and Challenges: Despite its development, the area faces challenges such as negative stereotypes, limited market access, and dependence on central figures. These issues call for stronger governance and a more inclusive approach. Keywords: Local Wisdom, Economic Dynamics, Al-Zaytun, Da'wah, Educatio.
