Abstract

Innovation in Islamic Financial Institutions that are experiencing developments aims to make LKS competitive, sustainable and able to meet the needs of the community. For that, it is necessary to study innovation in Islamic financial institutions, because with innovation the company can survive. The research question is who are the authors who have contributed to the research, the development of research theme trends and future research trends regarding innovation in Islamic financial institutions. The novelty in this study is a research roadmap in the field of innovation in Islamic financial institutions. The method used in this study is bibliometric analysis by selecting data from reputable international sources and using the Scopus database, RStudio and Vosviewer tools. The findings in this study indicate that Muneeza, A. and Hassan, M.K. are the most influential authors in Islamic finance research dominated by issues of Islamic finance, banking, fintech, and zakat, with promising future research trends on the topics of digitalization of Islamic finance, productive waqf, and economic sustainability. The increasing number of research in the field of Islamic Financial Institution Innovation shows that this research theme is still very relevant in future research.

Abstract

Universities remain underutilized in addressing pressing issues of poverty, unemployment, and inequality. This study aims to develop a structured framework that integrates social entrepreneurship and Islamic philanthropy into academic moral responsibility. Using a qualitative method, the research combines Critical Literature Review (CLR) and Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) through a case study of the Islamic Philanthropreneurship Lab (LKSFI). Findings reveal two key outcomes: (1) a theoretical-philosophical foundation for embedding social entrepreneurship and philanthropy in higher education, and (2) a redesigned Business Model Canvas adapted for university-based philanthropic ventures. This framework offers a strategic tool to enhance universities' social missions and institutional alignment.

Abstract

Environmental sustainability has become a central concern in global markets, driving scholars and practitioners to explore how consumers can act as active promoters of sustainable brands. Green Brand Evangelism (GBE) captures this phenomenon, defined as consumers’ voluntary and enthusiastic advocacy of eco-friendly brands. Despite its relevance, research on GBE remains fragmented, with inconsistent definitions and scattered insights into its drivers. This paper addresses two research questions: How is GBE defined in the extant literature, and what are the enablers that foster it? This study provides the first systematic literature review (SLR) focused exclusively on GBE, consolidating fragmented evidence across contexts and reconceptualizing GBE as a multidimensional construct. Following PRISMA guidelines, eleven peer-reviewed articles (2020–2025) were synthesized from multiple databases. Data were analyzed thematically around two research questions and complemented with a bibliometric keyword co-occurrence analysis (VOSviewer). GBE emerges from the interplay of individual, brand, and contextual enablers. The study advances theoretical clarity and offers practical implications for managers, marketers, and policymakers in cultivating consumers as green brand evangelists.

Abstract

Global agribusiness faces increasing volatility and disruptions, making supply chain performance critical for competitiveness, especially in developing economies where structural fragmentation and limited adaptive capacity hinder value creation. This study investigates how strategic agility enhances supply chain performance through the mediating roles of supply chain resilience and value realization among millennial coffee farmers in West Java, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory design was employed, collecting data from 143 coffee farmers selected through purposive sampling. Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze direct and sequential relationships among constructs. Findings show that strategic agility positively influences supply chain resilience  and value realization, with resilience mediating the relationship between agility and value realization, and value realization driving performance. The sequential mediation pathway from agility through resilience and value realization to performance is significant. This study validates an integrated capability-based model, offering practical insights for enhancing adaptive capacity and competitiveness in agribusiness supply chains. Future research should explore longitudinal effects and broader agribusiness contexts to strengthen generalizability.

Abstract

Rising market, technological, and environmental uncertainties challenge Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and beverage sector, making strategic foresight and entrepreneurial orientation essential for adaptability and competitiveness. This study aims to examine the effects of strategic foresight and entrepreneurial orientation on business adaptability in navigating uncertainty among food and beverage MSMEs in Jakarta. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed. Data were collected from 100 MSME owners or managers using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using structural equation modeling–partial least squares. The results indicate that strategic foresight has a significant positive effect on business adaptability, while entrepreneurial orientation strengthens innovation, proactiveness, and organizational resilience. Furthermore, business adaptability is found to mediate the relationship between strategic foresight and the ability of MSMEs to navigate business uncertainty. These findings highlight the importance of integrating foresight and entrepreneurial orientation as dynamic capabilities to enhance MSME resilience. This study contributes theoretically to the dynamic capabilities perspective and provides practical insights for business practitioners and policymakers in strengthening the adaptive capacity of food and beverage MSMEs amid an increasingly uncertain business environment.

Abstract

The logistics sector in Indonesia faces high costs, infrastructure gaps, and turbulence from e-commerce growth and regulatory changes, especially in West Java, a key hub for third-party logistics providers. Digital transformation promises better efficiency, but many firms fail to convert digital tools into balanced sustainable performance across economic, environmental, and social dimensions. This study examines how logistics ecosystem turbulence and digital logistics agility affect sustainable logistics performance among third-party logistics firms in West Java. It also investigates the mediating roles of platform-enabled horizontal collaboration strategy, customer experience management, and competitive implementation through single and sequential paths. Data were collected via a cross-sectional survey from 312 valid respondents and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. Findings indicate that logistics ecosystem turbulence, platform-enabled horizontal collaboration strategy, customer experience management, and competitive implementation significantly and positively influence sustainable logistics performance. Digital logistics agility shows no direct effect. Mediation analysis reveals platform-enabled collaboration as a central link between turbulence/digital agility and sustainable outcomes, while customer experience management and competitive implementation are key mechanisms that turn collaboration into performance gains. Sequential mediation confirms sustainable results arise from interconnected steps: collaboration followed by customer focus and strong execution.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a performance framework for higher education institutions in developing countries that is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. A qualitative approach using an in-depth interview model was employed to identify the main dimensions from the perspectives of purposively selected educational management experts. The research was conducted over 61 days, with core activities consisting of in‑depth interviews via the Zoom Meeting platform, and thematic analysis was adopted. The findings indicate that a performance design for higher education institutions in developing countries that is consistent with the SDGs agenda must, at a minimum, exhibit three key dimensions: a dynamic environment, a foresight strategy, and a value-creation program. All three must be firmly anchored in the Tridharma of Indonesian higher education. These results are highly valuable, as they offer a conceptual contribution by integrating the discourse on education for sustainability, higher education governance, and the SDGs framework into a comprehensive, contextually grounded performance model for the provision of higher education in developing countries.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the mediating role of Digital Dashboard Transformation (DDT) in the association between Service and Content Delivery (SCD) and Sustainable Performance (SP) in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed involving 104 respondents selected through purposive sampling from Islamic educational institutions that had implemented digital-based educational and administrative services. Data were collected using a 36-item questionnaire measured on a seven-point Likert scale. Construct reliability and validity were assessed using Composite Reliability (CR) and Average Variance Extracted (AVE). The mediating role of DDT was evaluated using bias-corrected bootstrapping with 5,000 resamples. Findings: The results indicate that SCD was positively associated with DDT, and DDT was positively associated with SP. The indirect effect of SCD on SP through DDT was statistically significant, supporting a complementary partial mediation mechanism. The bootstrap analysis showed that the 95% bias-corrected confidence interval for the indirect effect did not include zero (LLCI = [isi nilai], ULCI = [isi nilai]). The model explained 50.5% of the variance in SP (R² = 0.505), suggesting that SCD and DDT are important factors associated with sustainability outcomes in Islamic educational institutions. Research implications: The findings suggest that strengthening service and content delivery may support the development of dashboard-based monitoring capabilities, which are associated with improved sustainability-related outcomes. Educational institutions may benefit from integrating digital dashboard systems to support evidence-based decision-making and organizational performance monitoring. Originality: This study contributes to the digital transformation and sustainability literature by examining DDT as a mediating mechanism linking SCD and SP within Islamic educational institutions. The findings provide empirical evidence of an indirect association between digital service capabilities and sustainability outcomes in a faith-based educational context, while acknowledging the limitations of cross-sectional data for causal inference.

Abstract

Objectives: The coffee industry is characterized by intense competition, shifting consumer preferences, and vulnerability to external disruptions, creating challenges for businesses aiming to maintain sustainable performance. This study investigates the role of dynamic capabilities in shaping program uniqueness and enhancing business performance, with strategic flexibility examined as a mediating factor.Methodology: Adopting a quantitative research design, the study utilizes a structured questionnaire distributed among decision-makers in small and medium-sized coffee enterprises across Indonesia, and analyzes the data using Structural Equation Modeling with AMOS.Finding: The findings provide both theoretical advancement and practical implications for SMEs in the coffee sector by highlighting the importance of resource orchestration and adaptive strategies in sustaining competitive advantage. This research contributes to the broader discourse on strategic management and SME development, offering valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers aiming to enhance resilience and innovation in dynamic industry environments. Bottom of FormConclusion: The results demonstrate that dynamic capabilities specifically sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring resources positively influence the development of unique programs and contribute to improved business outcomes. Furthermore, the presence of a flexibility strategy significantly mediates the effect of dynamic capabilities, enabling firms to adapt more effectively to environmental changes and align their strategic initiatives with market demands. By integrating the Conservation of Resources (COR) theory into the dynamic capabilities framework, this study offers a novel theoretical perspective on how firms can protect, allocate, and optimize resources under conditions of uncertainty.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Supply Chain Integration (SCI) on Halal Supply Chain Performance (HSCP) among halal-certified SMEs in Indonesia. Using a purposive sampling approach, data were collected from 60 medium-sized enterprises through structured questionnaires and follow-up interviews, and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study focuses on three dimensions of SCI: internal, external, and information integration. The results indicate that SCI has a significant and substantial effect on HSCP (R² = 0.750, p < 0.001), with information integration emerging as the most critical driver, particularly in enhancing traceability and transparency. Internal integration is strongly associated with process efficiency and quality assurance, while external integration strengthens compliance and customer satisfaction. These findings suggest that halal-certified SMEs can overcome resource limitations and improve competitiveness by prioritizing digital information systems, structured internal procedures, and strategic external collaboration. The study contributes to SCI and halal supply chain literature by highlighting the distinctive dynamics of halal-certified SMEs and provides actionable guidance for policymakers and industry leaders in designing digital infrastructure support, capacity-building programs, and affordable traceability tools.
