Abstract

Education in the 21st century requires a shift toward student-centered learning and the strengthening of 4C skills (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication) as mandated by the Pancasila Student Profile and the Merdeka Curriculum. Needs analysis in elementary schools shows that existing LKPD are still traditional, lack problem-solving components, do not facilitate collaboration, and have not supported higher-order thinking. This condition indicates the urgency of developing contextual and interactive LKPD based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to reinforce students’ 4C skills in grade IV IPAS lessons. This study aims to develop PBL-based LKPD to improve students’ 4C skills using the ADDIE model. The research was conducted in SDN 02 Maek, SDN 06 Maek, and SDN 07 Maek involving 30 students and 3 teachers. The product’s validity met the required standards, with media validation at 71.6% (valid), language validation at 80% (valid), and content validation at 66% (valid). Practicality testing showed scores of 86.3% from teachers (very practical) and 82.6% from students (very practical). The LKPD’s effectiveness was demonstrated through an average N-Gain of 0.77 (high). Thus, the developed LKPD is categorized as valid, very practical, and effective in strengthening 4C skills in grade IV IPAS learning.

Abstract

The background to this research arose from the fact that teachers have not yet fully utilized the information technology (IT) available in schools. The development of innovative, engaging, and technology-based learning media is still limited, requiring teachers to improve their digital media skills to make the learning process more engaging and prevent student boredom (Prasetyo & Sari, 2021; Nugraha, 2020). Based on these challenges, this study was designed to explore the use of Wordwall as a more innovative learning evaluation tool. Furthermore, the use of Wordwall as a technology-based learning tool has not been significantly implemented in schools, despite the platform offering interactive and engaging features for students. This study aims to describe how Wordwall is used, the obstacles faced by teachers, and student responses to this platform as a tool for evaluating thematic learning for fifth-grade students at SDN 17 Pasaman. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, with research subjects including teachers and 25 fifth-grade students at SDN 17 Pasaman, Pasaman District, West Pasaman Regency, during the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, followed by descriptive analysis. The results showed that the use of Wordwall in the evaluation of Pancasila Education learning generated a very positive response from students. Teachers reported that students became more active and enthusiastic during the evaluation process. Quantitative findings supported this observation, with 92% of students feeling motivated to study harder, 91% encouraged to achieve a top scorer, 91% excited to solve problems, 72% challenged to answer questions quickly, and 81% encouraged to compete for the highest score. Furthermore, 97% of students stated that Wordwall was practical and enjoyable to use. The platform features an automatic assessment feature that facilitates teacher correction, allows for the creation of game-based evaluations without requiring programming skills, and can be tailored to the learning material (Putra, 2022; Suryani, 2020). This indicates that Wordwall can increase student motivation while providing an interactive, creative, and enjoyable learning experience.

Abstract

Pancasila Education learning at the elementary school level requires evaluation methods that can measure higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in line with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum. However, evaluation practices in schools are still dominated by conventional instruments that have not optimally developed students’ analytical, evaluative, and creative abilities. This study aims to design a HOTS-based digital evaluation for the topic of cultural diversity in Grade V elementary schools by utilizing Google Forms as an evaluation medium. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through document analysis of teaching modules, learning outcomes, learning objectives, and documentation of the digital evaluation design process. The results indicate that the teaching module applies a Problem Based Learning model, with learning objectives at the C4, C5, and C6 cognitive levels, thus requiring evaluation instruments aligned with HOTS characteristics. This study produced 20 case-based multiple-choice questions developed based on a digital evaluation blueprint and implemented using Google Forms. The digital evaluation was effective in measuring students’ analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities, while also providing ease of administration, automatic scoring, and integration of digital literacy. This research contributes to the development of a relevant and modern evaluation model suitable for 21st-century learning.

Abstract

Education is fundamentally a gateway for students to acquire new insights, including comprehending the reality of diversity in Indonesia. Awareness of this multicultural society must be cultivated from an early age to foster mutual respect and prevent social friction. Under the current curriculum, Civics Education (PPKn) does not merely teach citizenship theory but also emphasizes character education. Based on Law No. 20 of 2003, values such as integrity, mutual cooperation, and nationalism must be instilled in students. The urgency of character education becomes increasingly apparent when facing a social reality fraught with conflict, such as the prevalence of bullying, sexual violence, and the erosion of empathy for others. Civics Education at the elementary school level plays a vital role as the foundation for developing students' knowledge and social skills. The utilization of digital media such as Kahoot becomes the key to creating interactive and technology-based learning. This medium offers a game-based quiz approach that is effective in fostering students' interest and focus on the subject matter. Furthermore, Kahoot possesses comprehensive evaluation features this medium is highly useful for supporting various academic activities, such as practice exercises, enrichment programs, and measuring learning outcomes through pretests and posttests.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the demands of 21st-century learning which requires the integration of digital technology to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in the Merdeka Curriculum is expected to encourage students to think critically, solve problems, and actively participate in learning activities. However, based on observations and interviews conducted in several elementary schools in Region II of Lubuk Kilangan District, Padang City, it was found that learning activities were still dominated by conventional teaching methods and printed worksheets, resulting in limited student engagement. In addition, the use of digital technology in learning has not been systematically integrated with innovative learning models such as Problem Based Learning (PBL). Therefore, this study aims to develop an electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) assisted by the Wordwall media using the Problem Based Learning model in IPAS learning for fourth-grade elementary school students. The developed E-LKPD is designed to facilitate students in identifying problems, conducting investigations, collaborating in discussions, and presenting solutions systematically through interactive digital activities. Wordwall is utilized to provide educational games and interactive learning activities that can enhance students’ motivation and engagement in the learning process. By integrating the PBL model with Wordwall media, the developed E-LKPD is expected to become an innovative learning medium that supports more effective IPAS learning, improves students’ critical thinking skills, and encourages active participation in classroom activities. The results of this development are expected to serve as an alternative digital learning medium that is practical, engaging, and relevant to the needs of learning in the digital era.
