Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the implementation of Project-Based Assessment in measuring first-grade students’ understanding of Islamic values at SDIT Al Uswah Pamekasan. It used a qualitative case study approach based on the need for assessment methods that covered cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in early-grade Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Data were collected through observation, teacher interviews, and documentation of student projects. The findings showed that project-based assessment enabled creative and practical expression of Islamic values, increased student participation, and indirectly involved parents. It also revealed value internalization more authentically than written tests and served as a strategic alternative for more comprehensive PAI assessment at the primary level. Keywords: Project-based evaluation, Islamic values, Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Freshmen during the pandemic faced some complex problems during their transition, including adjustments to the online lecture system and independent learning, task demands, and limited social interaction with lecturers and classmates. This condition required the ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently. The purpose of the research was to determine how emotional stability, secure attachment, communication skills, and self-esteem influence social problem-solving. Participants were 702 first-year students from university X who were active and domiciled in the Jakarta Greater Area and several other cities. The measuring instruments used were the Social Problem-Solving Inventory-Revised Short-Form, the Self-Esteem Scale, the Interpersonal Communication Scale, the Indonesian version of the Big Five Inventory for neuroticism, and the Secure Attachment Scale. Data were collected through an online questionnaire. The data analysis technique used hierarchical regression. The results show that emotional stability in the form of low neuroticism has a strong effect on social problem-solving, and this effect is stronger when the secure attachment variables and communication skills are taken into the analysis. When self-esteem is included as the last variable, secure attachment no longer affects social problem-solving. However, the total influence is simultaneously getting stronger.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that many students remain passive in the learning process and struggle to understand the topic “Daerahku Kebanggaanku,” resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of implementing a STEAM-integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on improving students’ learning activities and outcomes in IPAS. The STEAM-integrated Project Based Learning model is a project-based instructional approach that can develop essential 21st-century skills, such as communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, and creativity. During the project process, students learn to collaborate, express ideas, and solve problems collectively. This approach not only prepares students for academic success but also equips them to become adaptive and innovative individuals in facing future challenges. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design, with the research subjects being students of class VA at SDN Sukun 1 Malang City. The instruments used included learning outcome evaluation tests, learning activity questionnaires, and observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using the paired-samples t-test in SPSS 26.00. The results of the study indicated a significant improvement in students’ learning activities and outcomes after the implementation of the STEAM-integrated Project Based Learning model. These findings demonstrate that the STEAM-integrated Project Based Learning model is effective for use in IPAS learning to enhance students’ learning activities and outcomes. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for teachers in implementing project-based learning models and to contribute to the development of contextual and engaging IPAS instruction.

Abstract

Abstract

The social work profession in Indonesia is often viewed as a job that can be done by anyone, without understanding that this job contains high psychological pressure and can lead to work stress. This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity and social support on the level of work stress in social workers in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 social workers who have at least one year of work experience. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used include the Work Stress Scale by Parker and DeCotiis (1983) to measure work stress, a religiosity scale adapted from Amir (2021), and a social support scale developed by Laksmita et al. (2020). All instruments use a 5-point Likert scale and have been proven to have high reliability (α > 0.85). Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to test the effect of religiosity and social support on work stress. The results of the analysis showed that religiosity had a significant effect on work stress (p = 0.044), and social support also had a significant effect on work stress (p = 0.000). These findings underscore the importance of internal and external factors in reducing work stress in social workers.

By using literature research by using a descriptive approach, this study reveals that Madura is a region known known as religious and multicultural place. Madurese Islamic education is defined as learning and knowledge based on Madurese Islam. The acculturation of culture and religion merges into a unique type of Madurese Islam with a variety of Madurese traditions and Islamic values. The meaning of rationality that is shared between the concepts of Islamic Education and cosmopolitanism is humanity without foundation. Based on the theory of cosmopolitanism, the concept of Islamic education in Madura is to prioritize Islamic religious teachings that are rahmatan lil'alamin, so to create togetherness among people regardless of the background for each individuals. The concept of Madurese Islamic education based on cosmopolitanism makes a person have a high concern for humanity, regardless of his background.
