Abstract

The Qabil and Habil incidents are the first murder events that have happened to humans that have been told in the Quran, but nevertheless there are many life lessons that can be learned from these events. This study aims to describe the analysis of the study of the interpretation of Al-Misbah Surah Al-Maidah verses 27-31. The research method uses a qualitative approach with text analysis. The results of the study, which is a study of the tafsir of Al-Misbah by Quraish Shihab, show that the events of Qabil and Habil are full of dialogue between the two humans. Based on the dialogue, it can be concluded that: 1) The ability to think critically is able to analyze the information obtained from observation and produce a decision in solving problems. 2) Critical thinking skills can affect the emotional intelligence of oneself and others, 3) Critical thinking skills can evaluate all more objective information, 4) Critical thinking skills are able to assess, critically and develop more logical ideas. However, one of the factors that hinders a person from thinking critically is the instability of emotional control.

Abstract

Activities carried out in community service for Lhokseumawe City Vocational School mathematics teachers are Classroom Action Research (CAR) writing activities and designing lesson plans based on Dinul Islam. The aim of this activity is for Lhokseumawe City Vocational School mathematics teachers to be able to create CAR and design lesson plans based on Dinul Islam on an ongoing basis in order to improve teacher careers. The form of this activity is to carry out training and mentoring for 4 days from 26 to 29 April 2021 with a total time of 32 JP with an allocation of 2 days of training and mentoring for CAR writing and 2 days for designing Dinul Islam-based lesson plans. This is then continued with assistance in the form of guidance in writing CAR and lesson plans based on Dinul Islam from May to June 2021. The work system carried out by teachers is group in nature and they work together in determining the CAR title and writing CAR. Meanwhile, the work system in designing Dinul Islam-based RPPs is individual. The results obtained resulted in 10 CAR titles with continuous writing, while Dinul Islam-based lesson plans were printed and 26 lesson plans were collected from 30 participants.

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Essential oils (EO) are complex volatile, naturally synthesized compounds from aromatic plants. It considers as healthy, effective, and safe since they were coming from nature. Gardenia jasminoides, Boswellia serrata, Commiphora myrrha, Foeniculum vulgarae, and Daucus carota are known to have antimicrobials, antioxidants, antiinflammation properties against respiratory tract infection. However, despite its natural content, a safety profile needs to be observed. Therefore, in this study, EO blend (EOB) made from the combination of these 5 plants was assessed for its efficacy and safety for respiratory tract infection in human.METHODS: A multicentre, randomized, open-label, phase II controlled trial involving 80 hospitalized adults with COVID-19 was conducted. One group of subjects only received standard of care (SoC), while the other group receive SoC and EOB orally for 10 days.RESULTS: There were significant decrease in interleukin (IL)-6 level (p=0.016) and interferon (IFN)-γ level (p=0.012), as well as better respiratory rate (p=0.024) for the group receiving SoC and EOB compared to the group receiving SoC only. However, there was no significant differences in aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), creatinine, and the corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation value in both groups. All subjects with adverse effects were improved and recovered, and there were no serious adverse events found.CONCLUSION: The combination of G. jasminoides, B. serrata, C. myrrha, F. vulgarae, and D. carota EOB could improve the inflammatory and clinical status and safe to be used as adjuvant therapy for treating COVID-19 in adults.KEYWORDS: essential oils, COVID-19, inflammation, safety

Abstract

Desa Miagan Kabupaten Jombang Jawa Timur memiliki populasi sekitar 3.839 jiwa dengan tingkat pendidikan yang relatif baik, mencakup lulusan sekolah dasar hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Namun, tingkat ekonomi masih rendah, dan angka kemiskinan terus meningkat setiap tahun. Kondisi ini diakibatkan kurangnya pelatihan untuk masyarakat usia produktif sehingga menyebabkan tingginya tingkat pengangguran. Salah satu solusi yang diusulkan adalah memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi dengan membangun perpustakaan digital berbasis web dan android. Tujuan utama adalah memberikan akses lebih mudah ke sumber daya literatur dan materi pembelajaran kepada masyarakat desa. Metode yang digunakan dengan metode deskriptif analitis dengan langkah-langkah implementasi yang mencakup, pengumpulan kebutuhan melalui wawancara survei, analisis, perancangan solusi, pengembangan aplikasi perpustakaan digital, pengujian fungsionalitas, pelatihan literasi digital, pendampingan masyarakat, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil Pengabdian, telah terpasang aplikasi perpustakaan digital mencakup lebih dari 500 buku digital dan materi pembelajaran dengan fokus pada antarmuka pengguna yang ramah dan aksesibilitas bagi semua lapisan masyarakat. Selain itu, pembaruan infrastruktur perpustakaan fisik termasuk penambahan komputer dan sambungan internet untuk memastikan perpustakaan dapat mengikuti perkembangan teknologi. Para peserta yang terdisri dari beberapa lapisan masyarakat, baik guru, karang taruna dan pegawai desai menyambut baik kegiatan ini, karena dengan kegitan ini bisa menjadi solusi terhadap peningkatan literasi masyarakat

Abstract

Tulisan ini mencoba mengkaji filantropi zakat dilihat dari sudut sosio-historis dan dampaknya terhadap kesejahteraan sosial. Pensyariatan zakat sangat lekat dengan kondisi sosial-ekonomi masyarakat di periode Mekah dan Madinah. Pewajiban zakat sejatinya tidak hanya dipandang dari sisi teologis semata, namun yang lebih penting adalah sisi sosial-ekonomi yang melingkupinya. Hal ini karena pewajiban zakat diarahkan pada upaya membangun kesejahteraan individu dan sosial. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitis, dan dari pembahasan didapat kesimpulan bahwa secara historis pewajiban zakat dilakukan secara bertahap; dimulai sejak periode Mekah dan secara normatif disyariatkan pada periode Madinah. Pewajiban zakat mengikuti konstruksi sosial masyarakat saat itu. Dampak filantropi zakat tidak hanya mengena pada individu muzakki dan mustahiq, namun juga tatanan sosial serta stabilitas ekonomi masyarakat muslim. Para penunai zakat akan mendapatkan kesehatan jiwa, psikis, dan jasmani. Sementara secara sosial akan terjadi pemerataan kesejahteraan ekonomi, terkikisnya kesenjangan sosial dan kemiskinan, serta harmonisasi interaksi antar anggota masyarakat.

Abstract

Property and real estate sector companies are showing increasing optimism. This is driven by the increasing public demand for private housing. A market that continues to grow is a good prospect for property and real estate sector companies. However, it is undeniable that the property and real estate sector companies are capital-intensive companies, so a large amount of capital is required. One alternative is the use of debt policy. If the use of debt is appropriate, of course, it can provide large returns in the form of company profits. This study seeks to explore the role of capital structure in profitability in property and real estate sector companies. The data used is secondary data obtained from the financial statements of property and real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2016-2019. The results show that the capital structure policy as proxied by the Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR) has a positive effect on company profitability as proxied by Return on Equity (ROE) in relatively smaller and younger companies. While the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has no effect on ROE.

Abstract

The complexity of modern economic problems today also demands flexibility in offering solutions to the problems faced. This has led to various Islamic banking businesses that were previously unknown but are now growing. Among the main points in creating Islamic banking and financial products to meet the needs of modern society is the development of Hybrid Contract. The main problem in this research is how maqashid sharia views the implementation of hybrid contracts in Islamic banking amidst the debate between scholars who are pro and contra. This research method uses a qualitative approach. Hybrid contracts or multi-contracts are addressed differently by scholars, but in contemporary business, especially Islamic banking, hybrid contracts are allowed on condition that they are carried out individually and not simultaneously. Hybrid Contract in the concept of maqāsid al-sharī'ah is a combination of contracts applied to many Sharia Financial Institutions as an effort to achieve contemporary business flexibility, make it easier for people to meet their needs, and efforts to achieve multidimensionality. The existence of Hybrid Contract is needed to meet the needs of transactions in this modern era. This is because sharia financial/business products experience very dynamic developments and "force" financial institutions to continue to follow the development of modern transaction models.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hypertension or high blood pressure is called the silent killer because its symptoms are often without complaints and is the single main contributor to frequent diseases such as heart disease, stroke and kidney disease in Indonesia. Research to provide an overview of the characteristics of hypertension in residents in the Ciwalen Village area of Garut City. Used in this research is a survey method. Data collected using instruments was then analyzed using a frequency distribution based on the grouping of hypertension status along with risk factors that cause hypertension. Shows that hypertension can be influenced by demographic profile and lifestyle factors that are usually carried out by the community as evidenced by the lifestyle of people who adopt a lifestyle of smoking, lack of fruit and vegetables, lack of physical activity and obesity at risk of having hypertension with a hypotension category of 23 people (0.6 %), normal as many as 2679 people (67.1%), pre-hypertension as many as 725 people (15.5%), hypertension level 1 as many as 413 people (10.3%), hypertension level 2 as many as 208 people (5.2% ) and isolated systolic hypertension in 51 people (1.3%). The description of the demographic profile of hypertension can follow up on the efforts that have been given previously to be carried out independently by the community, especially hypertension sufferers, as a preventive and promotive effort to improve the health status of residents in the Ciwalen Village area, Garut City. Keywords: Hypertension, Demographic Profile, Community Nursing  ABSTRAK Hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi disebut sebagai the silent killer karena gejalanya yang sering tanpa keluhan dan menjadi kontributor tunggal utama untuk penyakit yang sering terjadi seperti penyakit jantung, stroke maupun ginjal di Indonesia. Penelitian untuk memberikan gambaran karakteristik hipertensi warga di wilayah Kelurahan Ciwalen Garut Kota. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrumen kemudian dianalisis menggunakan distribusi frekuensi berdasarkan pengelompokan status hipertensi disertai faktor risiko yang menyebabkan terjadinya hipertensi. Hasil menunjukkan kejadian hipertensi dapat dipengaruhi oleh profil demografi dan faktor-faktor pola hidup yang biasa dilakukan oleh masyarakat dibuktikan dengan pola hidup masyarakat yang menerapkan perilaku merokok, kurang buah dan sayur, kurang aktivitas fisik dan obesitas berisiko memiliki hipertensi dengan kategori hipotensi sebanyak 23 orang (0,6%), normal sebanyak 2679 orang (67,1%), pra hipertensi sebanyak 725 orang (15,5%), hipertensi tingkat 1 sebanyak 413 orang (10,3%), hipertensi tingkat 2 sebanyak 208 orang (5,2%) dan hipertensi sistolik terisolasi sebanyak 51 orang (1,3%). Adanya gambaran profil demografi penderita hipertensi dapat menindaklanjuti upaya yang telah diberikan sebelumnya untuk dilakukan kepada masyarakat secara mandiri khususnya penderita hipertensi sebagai upaya preventif dan promotif untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan warga di wilayah Kelurahan Ciwalen Garut Kota. Kata Kunci: Hipertensi, Profil Demografi, Keperawatan Komunitas

Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative research that aims to explore and analyses the role of benefits, obstacles and involvement of Fire Care Community (MPA) formed by Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Balikpapan Protected Forest Management Unit (KPHL). Primary data consists of interviews, observations and documentation and secondary data comes from literature, reports or documents from related institutions, while the object of research is five MPA groups in Karang Joang Village Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan Province selected by purposive sampling and analyzed using a Likert Scale. The research shows that Fire Care Community (MPA) in Karang Joang Village. It is crucial in promoting awareness about the risks of forest fires through impactful outreach and education, fostering a shift in people’s behavior toward more eco-friendly practices. The existence of MPA provides significant benefits, such as ecosystem preservation, improved air quality, public health, as well as supporting sustainable agricultural practices that strengthen local economic welfare. Although MPAs face barriers such as limited resources and weak law enforcement, these challenges can be overcome with stronger collaboration. Abstract

Every manufacturing industry is required to make continuous improvements, one of which is reducing waste in order to achieve efficiency and productivity in the production process. One of them is the assembly manufacturing industry in Indonesia. Based on initial observations, one of the manufacturing industries in the Cikarang Industrial Area has experienced failure to achieve production targets by the company, thus disrupting productivity. Currently, the achievement of 76% is still below the target of 80%. The purpose of this study is to improve the production process by reducing waste so that efficiency and productivity can be increased. A suitable and relevant method is to combine the Lean Manufacturing-based method with the Kaizen concept because it is believed to be able to increase productivity by using many improvement tools. This study uses two data collection techniques, namely observation and focus group discussion. The results of the study showed a reduction in the number of workers by 1 person and a reduction in process time from 184.6 seconds to 90.4 seconds or 51%. These results indicate that the implementation of lean manufacturing can increase the efficiency of the assembly process. Setiap industri manufaktur dituntut untuk melakukan perbaikan secara berkesinambungan salah satunya mengurangi pemborosan agar dicapainya efisiensi dan produktivitas dalam proses produksi. Salah satunya industri manufaktur perakitan yang ada di Indonesia. Berdasarkan observasi awal bahwa salah satu industri manufaktur yang ada di Kawasan Industri Cikarang telah mengalami ketidaktercapain target produksi oleh perusahaan sehingga mengganggu produktivitas. Saat ini, ketercapaian sebesar 76% masih di bawah target sebesar 80%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki proses produksi dengan mengurangi pemborosan sehingga efisiensi dan produktivitas dapat ditingkatkan. Metode yang cocok dan relevan adalah dengan menggabungkan metode Lean berbasis Manufaktur dengan konsep Kaizen karena diyakini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dengan menggunakan banyak tool perbaikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan focus group discussion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengurangan jumlah tenaga kerja sebanyak 1 orang dan pengurangan waktu proses dari 184,6 detik menjadi 90,4 detik atau sebesar 51%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi lean manufacturing dapat meningkatkan efisiensi proses perakitan.
