Abstract

Preliminary data in several replications were only 5 out of 24 fifth grade students who reached the level of mastery of the material for Indonesian language lessons. During the lesson, students rarely ask questions or respond to the teacher's explanation. To improve the ability to ask students and master the concept of Indonesian students, through the application of various methods. After learning, the students' learning outcomes obtained in the second cycle there were 7 students who received a special category, 8 students with very good categories, 7 students with good categories and 2 students achieved enough categories, and there were no more students in the less category. This shows that in cycle II only 2 students have not been completed according to the defined KKM which is 70. In the second cycle of the meeting there was 1 student who did not ask, 3 students who only came from asking, 6 students asked approaching right and 14 students were able ask well and correctly. While cycle II students' ability to ask has increased, from 24 students there are 20 students who are able to ask well and correctly, 3 students ask almost right, 1 student who still asks carelessly and there are no more students who do not ask. In the learning process in the second cycle learning takes place better than the first cycle, students already understand and are familiar with the learning step, so that it can be concluded through the use of various methods can improve the ability to ask questions and mastery of students' Indonesian concepts.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran sastra seringkali kurang menarik minat siswa. Maka dari itu, guru hendaknya dapat memilih metode dan materi ajar sastra yang tepat untuk meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa pada sastra. Namun faktanya, sebagain besar guru masih kesulitan memilih materi ajar sastra yang tepat. Selain itu, materi yang digunakan sebagian besar juga belum menyajikan nilai pendidikan karakter yang baik, terutama berkaitan dengan nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang wajib dibudayakan dalam diri siswa sejalan dengan pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan (1) nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam novel Hello karya Tere Liye; dan (2) relevansi novel Hello sebagai materi ajar sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah novel Hello karya Tere Liye dan informan. Data penelitian berupa dialog dan kutipan novel yang mengandung nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila serta hasil wawancara dengan informan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Adapun, teknik validiasi datanya menggunakan triangulasi teori dan sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Hello mengandung enam nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila yaitu (1) beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, dan berakhlak mulia; (2) berkebhinekaan global; (3) gotong royong; (4) mandiri; (5) bernalar kritis; dan (6) kreatif. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa novel Hello karya Tere Liye relevan digunakan sebagai materi ajar sastra di SMA. Hal ini karena novel tersebut telah memenuhi kriteria pemilihan materi ajar sastra yang baik dan ideal.Abstract: Literature learning often does not attract students' interest. Therefore, teachers should be able to choose appropriate literary teaching methods and materials to increase students' interest in literature. However, in fact, the majority of teachers still have difficulty choosing the right literary teaching materials. Apart from that, most of the materials used do not provide good character education values, especially in relation to the Pancasila Student Profile values which must be cultivated in students in line with the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. In this regard, this research aims to describe and explain (1) the value of the Pancasila Student Profile in the novel Hello by Tere Liye; and (2) the relevance of the novel Hello as literature lesson material in high school. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The data source used is the novel Hello by Tere Liye and informants. The research data is in the form of dialogue and novel quotations containing the values of the Pancasila Student Profile as well as the results of interviews with informants. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques use document analysis and interviews. The data validation technique uses triangulation of theory and data sources. The research results show that the novel Hello contains six values of the Pancasila Student Profile, namely (1) having faith, being devoted to God Almighty, and having noble character; (2) global diversity; (3) mutual cooperation; (4) independent; (5) critical reasoning; and (6) creative. The research results also show that the novel Hello by Tere Liye is relevant to use as literature lesson material in high school. This is because the novel meets the criteria for selecting good and ideal literary teaching materials.

Abstract

The research aimed to describe the procession of the Dukutan village clean-up ceremony, sesaji and its equipment, and its symbolic meaning. The research was conducted using an ethnographic approach. Data sources were events, sesaji and its equipment, cultural observers, and ceremony performers. The sampling techniques used were purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The techniques used to collect data were observation and in-depth interviews. Data validity test was conducted using source and method triangulation techniques. Data analysis was done using an interactive model. The results are, firstly, symbolic meanings of the procession are (a) cleaning-up in Menggung Site symbolizing respect to Narotama, (b) collection sesaji symbolizing the meaning of commonness and gratitude expression, (c) parade symbolizing environment-monitoring behavior, and (d) brawl symbolizing a conflict between Nglurah Lor and Nglurah Kidul. Secondly, symbolic meanings of sesaji are (a) tumpeng of corn rice, symbolizing human-to-God relationship, (b) ares and tempe bakar, symbolizing simplicity, (c) gandik symbolizing wellbeing, and (d) boiled food made of palawija symbolizing natural wealth. Thirdly, other equipments include (a) encek, symbolizing human beings’ submission to God, (b) kendi or vessel containing water, symbolizing the source of living, (c) iket, symbolizing a medium to expel evil spirit, and (d) incense smoke symbolizing behavior to remove badness. Generally, the symbolic meaning found in the research is related to social harmony and environmental conservation.

Abstract

Sugar productivity in Indonesia is still low, so it is unable to meet national sugar needs. The use of superior varieties with high productivity is needed to increase sugar productivity. New superior varieties can be obtained through cultivating varieties either by crossing or transgenic methods. The study aimed at evaluating clones resulting from polycross on ratoon cane (RC) with higher crystal yields than their parents (SIL 04). It was carried out at the IP2TP Karangploso Experimental Garden, Sweetener and Fiber Crop Research Institute, Malang, East Java, from January 2021 to December 2021. Eleven crossed clones and one female parent clone (SIL 04) were arranged in a Randomized Block Design with two replications. The results showed 8 clones resulting from the cross (MLG 19/P6/10, MLG 19/P6/11, MLG 19/P6/12, MLG 19/P6/13, MLG 19/P6/16, MLG 19/P6/5, MLG 19/P6/6 and MLG 19/P6/8) produced higher crystal (6.06-7.0 t/ha) than SIL 04 (5.66 t/ha). Improving the crystal structure in the clones resulting from the cross can be done by improving the productivity of sugarcane.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) penerapan regulasi standara kualifikasi dan kompetensi Pengawas, Kepala Sekolah, dan Guru, (2) Pola kerja sama dan persepsi guru tentang kinerja Pengawas dan Kepala Sekolah, (3) pemberdayaan guru (eacher empowerment) SD, SMP, dan SMA Kabupaten Blora. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei melalui pendekatan deskriptif dan analisis statistic inferensial parametris. subyek penelitian sebanyak 186 responden menggunakan teknik cluster statified random sampling melibatkan 60 sekolah. Instrumen angket dipergunakan untuk mengumpulkan variabel standar kualifikasi dan kompetensi, Pengawas, Kepala Sekolah dan Guru, serta persepsi guru dalam bekerja sama. Data-data sekunder dipergunakan untuk verifikasi dan melengkapi data primer. Pengolahan data statistik deskriptif untuk menguraikan keberadaan variabel mandiri. Pengolahan data dengan statistik inferensial dipergunakan untuk mengetahui kamparatif dan keeratan hubungan antara ketiga variabel. FGD dilakukan untuk verifikasi data dan implikasi pemberdayaan guru. Hasil analisis : (1) Analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa standar kualifikasi masih ada yang belum memenuhi kriteria indikator usia dan pendidikan. Kompetensi Pengawas, Kepala Sekolah dan Guru termasuk kategori ‘sangat tinggi’, (2) Pola kerja sama diperoleh nilai kesesuaian 0,83 (sangat tinggi) dari yang diharapkan. Pengujian hipotesis peneitian pertama analisis komparatif one way anova hasilnya F hitung > F table (296.388 > 2.9359), kedua korelasi bivariat Hasilnya ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan (µ = 0,05) antara Pengawas dengan Guru rxy sebesar 0,423, Kepala Sekolah dengan Guru rxy sebesar 0,380, dan Pengawas dengan Kepala Sekolah rxy sebesar 0,667 (3) Pemberdayaan guru difokuskan pada bidang kapasitas SDM, pemenuhan sarpras, dan inovasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a framework for measuring higher education performance as the Public Service Agency. The authors adapted one of the measurement models, namely the Balance Score Card Model. This is a qualitative study with library research type. The data collection uses literature documents related to the discussion subject. The results show that the Balanced Scorecard Model could be used to measure the performance of higher education institutions that has the mandate as the Public Service Agency. The target of the Balanced Scorecard Model is developed to measure the corporation. Corporations and public institutions have different objectives, characteristics, and philosophies. However, the model can be utilized to measure the performance of public institutions by adapting the components from each perspective. This study contributes to the development of higher education performance measurement framework serving as the Public Service Agency.

Abstract

Laboratory examinations are carried out to determine diseases that can affect pregnancy, one of the tests carried out is routine urine. The presence of the hormone HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin) in the urine can be used for a pregnancy test. Kidney function, can be known through a protein test in the urine, the presence of protein in the urine leads to pre-eclampsia in pregnant women. High urine specific gravity can be caused by lack of fluid consumption, the presence of sugar in the urine, and protein in the urine (usually in people with kidney disorders) or certain medications. This study aims to describe the description of urine specific gravity and urine protein levels in pregnant women in the UPK Puskesmas Kampung Dalam, Pontianak Timur. This is a descriptive survey research using the accidental sampling technique. Measurements and observations of research variables were measurements of urine specific gravity and urine protein content which were carried out at the UPK Laboratory of the Kampung Dalam Puskesmas, Pontianak Timur. The sample used is a urine sample when pregnant women who meet predetermined criteria, the examination is carried out using a Urine Analyzer. Respondents of this study found 30 people. The results of 30 respondents pregnant women measuring urine specific gravity whose normal limit is 1,005-1,030 obtained urine specific gravity of 1,010 as many as 6 respondents (20%), 1,015 as many as 9 respondents (30%), 1,020 as many as 2 respondents (6,7% ). 1,025 as many as 6 respondents (20%), and 1,030 as many as 7 respondents (23.3%). While the results of the measurement of urine protein levels were positive 1 as many as 4 respondents (13.3%), positive 2 as many as 1 respondent (3.4%), and Negative as many as 25 respondents with a percentage (83.3%).

Abstract

Pineapple peel has flavonoid compounds that are disinfectant and very effective in inhibiting the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. This is because flavonoids are polar so it is easier to penetrate the peptidoglycan layer. Pineapple peel has a high inhibitory power against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This study aims to determine the effect of pineapple peel (Ananas comosus L. Merr) hand sanitizer spray preparation in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria in vitro. The design of this research is experimental research. The method used was disc diffusion. The population in this study is pineapple peel juice. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Based on the results of the study of 6 concentrations of pineapple peel juice hand sanitizer, the lowest inhibition zone was 6 mm at a concentration of 50% and the highest at a concentration of 100%, namely a 10 mm inhibition zone. From the results of the organoleptical test examination of the pineapple peel juice hand sanitizer spray preparation, which is liquid, light yellow in color, slightly cloudy and has a distinctive smell of perfume. pH is 6 at 50% 60% 70% 80% concentration and 5 at 90% 100%. The irritation test obtained negative results so that the product is safe for use on the skin. Homogeneity test is not homogeneous. Based on the results of the examination, the results of the organoleptical test, pH test, and irritation test meet the requirements but the homogeneity test does not meet the requirements in the aesthetics of spray hand sanitizer products.

Abstract

Pemeriksaan sediaan apus darah tepi sangat penting karena dari sini akan banyak mendapatkan informasi yang berkaitan dengan morfologi sel darah dan juga dapat memberi petunjuk keadaan hematologik yang semula tidak diduga. Pemeriksaan sediaan apus darah tepi bertujuan antara lain untuk menilai berbagai unsur sel darah tepi seperti eritrosit, leukosit dan trombosit. Selain itu sediaan apus darah tepi juga dapat mengidentifikasi adanya parasit-parasit seperti malaria, tripanosoma, mikrofilariaTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji perbedaan sel basofil pada sediaan apus darah tepi dengan metode pewarnaan Giemsa, Wright dan modifikasi Wright-Giemsa, mengidentifikasi sel basofil dengan metode pewarnaan Giemsa, Wright dan modifikasi Wright-Giemsa serta menganalisis sel basofil dengan metode pewarnaan Giemsa, Wright dan modifikasi Wright-Giemsa pada sediaan apus darah tepiMetode penelitian yang digunakan adalah komparatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel convenience sampling. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah sampel darah dengan indikasi penyakit tertentu yang dapat meningkatkan jumlah sel basofil. Sampel berjumlah 8 orangBerdasarkan hasil analisis statistic uji Friedman didapatkan p value = 0.607 > α 0.05 sehingga dinyatakan tidak ada perbedaan analisis jumlah sel basofil pada sediaan apus darah tepi dengan metode pewarnaan Giemsa tidak ditemukan sel basofil. Pada metode pewarnaan Wright ditemukan sel basofil dengan nilai minimum 1 dan nilai maksimum 2 dan pada metode pewarnaan medifikasi Wright Giemsa diperoleh nilai minimum 0 dan maksimum 2.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a fairly high biodiversity, one of which is red shoots (Syzygium oleana). Red shoots are reported to have strong potential to inhibit bacterial growth, including tannins, saponins, flavonoids, and essential oils. To increase effectiveness in utilizing the potential of red shoots, it is made in a practical and easy-to-use dosage form. One of the effective dosage forms for topical therapy is hand sanitizer. The increasing prevalence of the corona virus has caused a shortage of hand sanitizers. Until now, there is no treatment that can cure Corona virus infection. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO) appeals to take preventive measures, one of which is washing hands properly. This  study aimed  to examine the antibacterial potential of red shoots (Syzygium oleana) against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria using the disc method. The juice is made in the form of a Hand Sanitizer Spay. The antibacterial activity was obtained by measuring the diameter of the inhibition zone after giving 4 variations of the concentration of the juice sample. Positive control used amoxicillin 30 g/disk and negative control used aquadest. The next stage of analysis of the quality of hand sanitizers includes organoleptic tests, pH measurements. The research design used is a quasi-experimental method. This research was started in May-December 2022. Samples in the form of red shoots were made in the form of Hand Sanitizer Spay with various concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% and the average inhibition zone value was 11.8 mm, 12.6 mm, 13.75 mm and 14.4 mm. Based on the results of research and computerized data processing with the Simple Linear Regression test, the value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05) means that there is an effect of the concentration of hand sanitizer squeezed from red shoots on the inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.
