Abstract

This study investigates the multifaceted role of zakat in promoting not only poverty alleviation but also communal security, social stability, and sustainable community development. The research aims to expand the traditional understanding of zakat by highlighting its potential to address economic disparities and foster social cohesion. Employing a qualitative research design and secondary data analysis, the study systematically examines existing literature to assess the broader social and economic impacts of zakat. The findings demonstrate that effective zakat management can significantly mitigate social unrest by alleviating poverty, reducing unemployment, and addressing economic inequalities. Moreover, the study underscores the pivotal role of Islamic education in enhancing zakat's impact. By equipping recipients with financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and investment strategies, Islamic education enables sustainable resource management and economic empowerment. The research concludes that zakat, when combined with targeted educational interventions, can serve as a powerful tool for fostering financial security and communal peace. By integrating these approaches, zakat has the potential to become a catalyst for long-term social stability and the development of resilient, self-sustaining communities.

Abstract

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with high epidemiological report data. Pathogenesis in HCC also involves several signaling pathways. This study aims to evaluate the in vitro activity of Moringa seed NanoChitosan against Hep G2 liver cancer cells and Co-Treatment with Doxorubicin. Initially, nanoparticles were prepared by extracting Moringa seeds, formulating them into nano chitosan, and then characterizing the compounds and particle sizes. The IC50 dose was investigated using the MTT assay. Then, the IC50 dose was confirmed in more detail through immunofluorescence, betatrophin gene, several genes in the Wnt-βcatenin-CyclinD1 proliferation pathway, and the addition of the apoptotic effector Caspase-3 using RT-qPCR analysis. Each treatment used a single dose of NCH-Mosee and co-treatment or combination with 4 μg/ml doxorubicin. The IC50 dose was 994 μg/ml in single treatment and 649 μg/ml in combined treatment with Dox. Hep G2 showed a decrease in the expression level of each parameter measured with increasing single dose and combination treatment (p < 0.050). Histologically, cells shrank, betatrophin expression was inhibited, and luminescence was seen, which decreased with increasing dose. In conclusion, NCH-Mosee with dose-tracking toxicity combined with Dox can suppress the viability of Hep G2 cells.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the profile of women of home workers (Putting Out System/POS) in Kediri Regency, covering aspects of the establishment, categorisation, social security and the recognition of Putting Out System in Kediri Regency. The type of research developed in this study is a qualitative approach. According to Narbuko (2008), qualitative methods refer to research strategies, such as observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and document studies. The results showed that home workers were scattered in several areas in several sub-districts. Although no data indicates clearly but their existence is very significant. In carrying out its work, women of home workers face some of the following problems:(1) There is no written agreement about the terms and conditions, (2) Low wages; based on the product unilaterally determined by the employer. (3) No labor social protection. Even if they have health insurance, it is because they are in the status of poor households so it is entitled to the beneficiaries of government-managed healthcare social security (JKN-KIS, JKN-KIS District, JAMKESDA) or have BPJS Mandiri. The inhibitory factors of the change in the access of women of home workers to the collateral of social protection of man power are as follows: logging constraints, regulatory constraints, social and family norms that impede women to participate in mentoring collective pursuits. There are two things that can encourage poor female home workers to access the social protection of labor, which is participation in collective action and the ability to negotiate with employers

Abstract

Stunting in Bojonegoro district in 2022 was at 24.3%, this made Bojonegoro one of the districts with the highest prevalence of stunting in East Java. To overcome this, Decree No. 191 was issued regarding the Bojonegoro District Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team for 2022 - 2024 as a follow-up to Presidential Regulation No. 72 of 2021. From this, the stunting rate managed to drop dramatically in 2023, reaching 14.1%. It is interesting to research because although it has decreased, Bojonegoro Regency wants to reduce stunting to 10% by the end of 2024. This research aims to look at the collaboration process in accelerating stunting reduction in the Bojonegoro district with Emerson, Nabatchi, and Balogh's (2012) collaboration process consisting of: Collaboration Dynamics, Collaboration Actions, Impact and Adaptation to Collaboration, By looking at stakeholders through the Penta Helix concept. The research in this article uses a qualitative method, with a descriptive type of research. The determination of informants is done by purposive sampling. This study found that the public sector dominates the implementation of collaboration, and the private sector, mass media, and universities' involvement is minimal because the three stakeholders are only involved in some activities. There are no binding regulations for the participation of the three stakeholders.
