Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify issues surrounding the application of 4C-based learning. In addition, this study looks at how lecturers address issues that arise with their pupils. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Purposive sampling procedures were used in the selection of the 20 students and 2 lecturers participated in this study. Data were gathered by open-ended surveys, interviews, and observations. Data analysis involves gathering, condensing, presenting, and deriving conclusions using interactive models. Researchers found that lecturers tried to engage 4C based learning during their class. The necessary abilities, which include the capacity for critical and creative thought as well as collaboration and communication, must be tailored to the trends of the twenty-first century. Students' abilities to argue critically with others and to articulate their thoughts rationally serve as examples of this. Besides, students are able to exhibit their capacity for productive work, recognize the diversity within the team, show adaptability and a readiness to consider other people's viewpoints, assume joint accountability for group projects, and recognize the significance of each team member's contribution to a diverse group. They consider some applications such as Canva, Mind Master, Kahoot, and QR Code for their creativity supports. As well as, writing papers assignment is able to build students’ critical thinking skills. Students who possess critical thinking abilities may identify issues, come up with solutions, and gather and arrange data. Students’' ability to create topic papers and research papers serves as evidence of this.

Abstract

Almost all circles of society in the world today are shadowed by an extraordinary fear of the plague that hits the world or the so-called the pandemic. In early 2020, Indonesia even also felt the same thing, and this has an implication for the issuance of several government policies in an effort to minimize the spread of the covid-19 outbreak by giving an appeal to the community to limit gatherings including school activities by switching them to the application of work from home (WFH) learning. In response to these conditions, many problems will arise and be faced by teachers, students, and parents. Departing from this phenomenon, this study aimed to find out the details of online learning at home undertaken by SMK IT Rabbi Radhiyya’s students using a qualitative approach. The data of this study were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques which were then analyzed to obtain a depiction of the online learning. This study concluded that the application of work from home (WFH) online learning during the covid-19 pandemic as a learning medium in SMK IT Rabbi Radhiyya ran smoothly. The depiction of learning was such as: The teacher gave assignments to students, and students worked on them via WhatsApp application and Google Classroom followed by collecting assignments in due course; Students memorized Al-Quran and Hadith and then sent the memorization videos with eyes closed to the teacher; the teacher gave an assignment for students to make videos about their busy routines during staying at home; and students made reports insofar as they were carrying out online learning at home. Keywords: Online Learning, Learning Media, Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

Studies on the living Qur'an have predominantly focused on recitation practices, amulets, and ruqyah within mainstream Muslim communities, while largely overlooking the ways in which Qur'anic verses are integrated into indigenous healing systems through material objects, spatial rituals, and local cosmologies among peripheral ethnic communities. This article addresses that gap by examining be-langea, a traditional healing ritual practiced by the Rejang community in Dusun Sawah, Bengkulu, Indonesia, in which water and lime (jeruk nipis) function as the principal therapeutic media through which Qur'anic verses are materially activated and spatially mediated. Employing a qualitative research design that combines ethnographic fieldwork with phenomenological analysis, the study draws on data collected through in-depth interviews with five key informants: two traditional healers, two patients, and one community leader, as well as participatory observation conducted over a period of more than one month. Guided by Rafiq's informative–performative framework, the findings make three principal theoretical contributions. First, be-langea demonstrates a process of Qur'anic materialization in which the sacred text is transferred into physical substances and enacted through bodily gestures and domestic spaces, thereby extending its performative function beyond verbal recitation. Second, the informative and performative dimensions operate as mutually constitutive rather than sequential mechanisms. Third, the dukun functions as a cultural broker who actively negotiates Islamic legitimacy for indigenous healing practices amid ongoing reformist pressures. By foregrounding the material and spatial dimensions of Qur'anic engagement, this study advances living Qur'an scholarship through a framework that illuminates how Muslim communities enact and embody sacred texts across the full spectrum of their cultural resources.

Abstract

Indonesia's escalating climate crisis marked by massive deforestation, peatland fires, rising temperatures, and sea-level threats constitutes not merely a techno-political problem but a profound ethical and theological crisis demanding serious engagement from Islamic scholarly traditions, including Qur'anic exegesis. This study aims to construct the dynamic ecological significance (maghza) of Q. 30:41 and Q. 7:56 within the context of Indonesia's climate crisis, employing Sahiron Syamsuddin's Ma'na-cum-Maghza approach a hermeneutical method that first excavates the authentic historical meaning (ma'na) of the text before developing its significance for the contemporary context. Employing qualitative library research methodology, the study draws on classical tafsir works al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Zamakhsharī, al-Rāzī and contemporary exegeses M. Quraish Shihab, Sayyid Quṭb, Ibn ʿĀshūr as primary sources, complemented by scientific data on Indonesia's climate crisis from IPCC AR6 (2023) as knowledge helper. Historical ma'na analysis reveals that Q. 30:41 functions as a diagnostic-causal verse affirming ecological fasād as a direct consequence of human agency (kasb al-nās), while Q. 7:56 functions as a prescriptive-normative verse mandating the preservation and restoration of iṣlāḥ al-arḍ as a non-negotiable theological trust. The maghza construction finds that fasād fī al-barr wa al-baḥr constitutes a theological equivalent of anthropogenic ecological destruction confirmed by modern climate science, while iṣlāḥ represents an active mandate for ecological restoration as a realization of khalīfah stewardship. This study contributes three dimensions of novelty: methodological, as the first systematic application of Ma'na-cum-Maghza to Indonesia's climate crisis; substantive, through the integration of Qur'anic hermeneutics with ecological scientific data; and contextual, by strengthening global Islamic eco-theology discourse from a Nusantara scholarly perspective.
