Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify issues surrounding the application of 4C-based learning. In addition, this study looks at how lecturers address issues that arise with their pupils. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Purposive sampling procedures were used in the selection of the 20 students and 2 lecturers participated in this study. Data were gathered by open-ended surveys, interviews, and observations. Data analysis involves gathering, condensing, presenting, and deriving conclusions using interactive models. Researchers found that lecturers tried to engage 4C based learning during their class. The necessary abilities, which include the capacity for critical and creative thought as well as collaboration and communication, must be tailored to the trends of the twenty-first century. Students' abilities to argue critically with others and to articulate their thoughts rationally serve as examples of this. Besides, students are able to exhibit their capacity for productive work, recognize the diversity within the team, show adaptability and a readiness to consider other people's viewpoints, assume joint accountability for group projects, and recognize the significance of each team member's contribution to a diverse group. They consider some applications such as Canva, Mind Master, Kahoot, and QR Code for their creativity supports. As well as, writing papers assignment is able to build students’ critical thinking skills. Students who possess critical thinking abilities may identify issues, come up with solutions, and gather and arrange data. Students’' ability to create topic papers and research papers serves as evidence of this.

Abstract

This study evaluated the psychometric properties and measurement fairness of a 25-item academic stress scale among Generation Z undergraduate students at three Indonesian Islamic higher education institutions. Using a cross-sectional design with a final analytical sample of 401 participants (after person-fit screening from an initial N = 517), data were analyzed using the Rasch Rating Scale Model (RSM) to assess rating scale category functioning, item fit, person–item targeting, reliability, and Differential Item Functioning (DIF) across sex, age group, semester, and current living arrangement. Andrich thresholds advanced monotonically (−1.07, −0.79, 0.61, 1.25 logits), confirming that all five response categories represent psychometrically distinct levels of academic stress. Of 25 items, 21 demonstrated acceptable fit; the four misfitting items were concentrated in the Social and Academic Support dimension, consistent with the context-sensitivity of support perceptions in Islamic educational settings. Scale reliability was adequate for group-level research (person reliability = .85; item reliability = .98; Cronbach's α = .88; person separation = 2.41), and person–item targeting was satisfactory (person mean = 0.33 logits). DIF analysis identified seven items with significant sex-based non-equivalence, 17 and 16 items with substantive DIF measure ranges across age group and semester, respectively, and two items with residence-based DIF, collectively indicating that academic stress items function differently across demographic subgroups, particularly for institutional help-seeking, family support, anxiety expression, and time management. These findings demonstrate that while the scale possesses adequate psychometric quality for population screening, measurement invariance is partially violated, and raw-score comparisons across subgroups should be interpreted with caution. Academic stress assessment in Indonesian Islamic higher education should integrate demographic and developmental context, including academic stage and spiritual coping resources, to ensure fair and clinically meaningful score interpretation.

Abstract

The accelerating pace of digital transformation has heightened the demand for governance innovation in Islamic education institutions, particularly madrasahs striving to balance managerial effectiveness with ethical accountability. Although existing literature has explored digitalization in Islamic education, empirical research that explicitly addresses Artificial Intelligence-Based Islamic Education Management as a form of madrasah governance innovation remains limited. This study aims to investigate how AI-based Islamic education management is implemented and how it contributes to governance innovation in the digital era. A qualitative case study design was employed in selected madrasahs that have initiated digital transformation and adopted AI-supported management systems. Participants included madrasah principals, vice principals, senior teachers, academic coordinators, and information system operators who were directly involved in governance and managerial decision-making. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed thematically to identify recurring patterns related to governance practices and innovation processes. The findings demonstrate that Artificial Intelligence-Based Islamic Education Management enhances governance effectiveness by enabling data-driven decision-making, improving administrative efficiency, and strengthening transparency and accountability in line with Islamic ethical values such as amanah and sh?r?. Nevertheless, challenges related to digital literacy, infrastructure readiness, and ethical concerns regarding data use remain evident. The study implies that while AI-based management offers substantial potential for madrasah governance innovation, its sustainability depends on institutional capacity building, ethical governance frameworks, and supportive policy environments.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of optimizing learning resources in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The aim is to describe the empowerment of PAI learning resources at the junior high school level, focusing on their availability, utilization, and empowerment strategies by teachers. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method, conducted in 24 State Junior High Schools in Rejang Lebong Regency. Data were collected through interviews and observations of teachers, students, and relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that: (1) The availability of learning resources is generally adequate but uneven across regions, with technological access still dependent on infrastructure and teacher competency; (2) The dominant learning resources used are textbooks, while the utilization of alternative sources such as the local environment and digital resources is not yet optimal; (3) Teacher empowerment strategies include integrative and contextual approaches, although their application is still limited. It is concluded that the empowerment of PAI learning resources in Rejang Lebong Regency has been implemented with various strategies, but still requires improvements in equitable access, teacher training, and optimization of non-traditional learning resources to enhance the quality of learning.

Abstract

Almost all circles of society in the world today are shadowed by an extraordinary fear of the plague that hits the world or the so-called the pandemic. In early 2020, Indonesia even also felt the same thing, and this has an implication for the issuance of several government policies in an effort to minimize the spread of the covid-19 outbreak by giving an appeal to the community to limit gatherings including school activities by switching them to the application of work from home (WFH) learning. In response to these conditions, many problems will arise and be faced by teachers, students, and parents. Departing from this phenomenon, this study aimed to find out the details of online learning at home undertaken by SMK IT Rabbi Radhiyya’s students using a qualitative approach. The data of this study were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques which were then analyzed to obtain a depiction of the online learning. This study concluded that the application of work from home (WFH) online learning during the covid-19 pandemic as a learning medium in SMK IT Rabbi Radhiyya ran smoothly. The depiction of learning was such as: The teacher gave assignments to students, and students worked on them via WhatsApp application and Google Classroom followed by collecting assignments in due course; Students memorized Al-Quran and Hadith and then sent the memorization videos with eyes closed to the teacher; the teacher gave an assignment for students to make videos about their busy routines during staying at home; and students made reports insofar as they were carrying out online learning at home. Keywords: Online Learning, Learning Media, Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

This community service study examines the implementation of community-based Service Learning as a model for mentoring the writing and publication of scientific articles in reputable journals for members of the Pohon Baca Community at IAIN Curup, Bengkulu, Indonesia. The community faced a critical gap between high writing enthusiasm and limited technical competence in academic publication. Grounded in a three-stage Service Learning framework pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation  as articulated by Afandi et al the program integrated intensive workshop sessions, writing clinics, and supervised journal-submission processes. One hundred and thirty-five student participants received training in article structure, Mendeley-based reference management, Open Journal System (OJS) navigation, and SINTA/Scopus journal selection. A mixed-methods design combining paired-sample t-tests with thematic analysis was used to assess program outcomes. Results indicate a statistically significant improvement in scientific writing literacy (pre-test mean: 41.7; post-test mean: 73.8; increase: 77.0%; p < .001). In total, 85.9% of participants (n = 116) completed full article drafts, and eight manuscripts were successfully submitted to nationally accredited SINTA-indexed journals. The study demonstrates that Service Learning, when aligned with genuine community needs and supported by multidisciplinary academic mentoring, effectively bridges the university–community divide and generates measurable scholarly outputs. The model is recommended for replication across Islamic higher education institutions seeking to cultivate a sustainable publication culture through community engagement.
