This study aims to improve the mastery of Indonesian vocabulary in early childhood 5-6 years in TK Kartina Garut Regency. The focus of his research is on the application of the Reggio Emilia Approach (REA) assisted by flash card media to improve the mastery of Indonesian vocabulary in early childhood 5-6 years. This research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the aim of improving or increasing vocabulary mastery in early childhood. The analysis shows that this media is useful to be used as an introduction to the mastery of Indonesian children's vocabulary. The percentage increase in mastery of Indonesian vocabulary before action / pre-cycle was 49.44%, cycle I 61.94%, cycle II 77.22%, and cycle III 86.94%. Increased mastery of Indonesian vocabulary through flash card, namely mastery of Indonesian vocabulary in group B children in TK Kartina. The child can mimic some Indonesian vocabulary, mention the name of the object shown, and show some of the pictures requested. Teachers are more creative in conveying learning because by using flasch cards they are more motivated to increase all scope of development by using attractive media according to the teacher's creation

Quality character building needs to be fostered from an early age. Every human being has the potential for good character before birth, but this potential must be continuously fostered through socialization and education from an early age. The Role of Teachers on Character Education, namely the Teacher as a Learning Designer. Here teachers in accordance with the program proposed by the Ministry of National Education are required to play an active role in planning Teaching and Learning Activities by paying attention to various components in the learning system. Character education is a very important key in shaping a child's personality. Apart from at home, character education also needs to be applied in schools and in the social environment. In essence, education has a purpose to help humans become intelligent and grow into good human beings. Formal education is a path of education through school. As an effort to improve the quality of character education, including: character education must contain moral values, character education must also involve aspects of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action, the implementation of the character education curriculum must be carried out, applying the concept of DAP (Developmentally Appropriate Practices), using an integrated learning system based on character, character education must be in accordance with the stages of children's moral development, in addition to the need for cooperation with parents of students (co-parenting).

This research is motivated by the importance of online learning media in fostering students’ creativity, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on this background, the study aims to find facts about the students' ability to master the types of media technology and creativity in making reclame. This study took 5 students at an elementary school in West Java Province. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods. The primary data, in this research, were collected by using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis process was carried out using four stages, namely data collection, reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verifying stages. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the role of online media literacy in fostering students’ creativity is less than optimal because not all students use online media in fostering creativity in making reclame in the form of images or videos. There are limited facilities such as learning facilities, time, and knowledge about the making of reclame are factors that hinder the development of these students' creativity.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran alih kode dan campur kode bunyi bahasa Sunda dalam percakapan bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakutas Pertanian Universitas Winaya Mukti. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak cakap, teknik simak bebas libat cakap, teknik rekam, dan teknik dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Alih kode dalam tuturan mahasiswa dapat dikelompokan ke dalam dua jenis yaitu alih kode intern dan alih kode ekstern. Alih kode intern berkecenderungan berbentuk: (a) alih kode dari bahasa Indonesia ke dalam bahasa Sunda halus; dan (b) alih kode intern dari bahasa Sunda ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Kemudian alih kode ekstern yang terjadi pada mahasiswa berkecenderungan berbentuk alih kode dari bahasa Inggris ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. (2) Sedangkan campur kode yang terjadi dalam tuturan mahasiswa berkecenderungan berbentuk hanya campur kode ke luar (Outer Code Mixing) yaitu berkecenderungan berbentuk campur bahasa Indonesia-Sunda-Inggris di dalam satu kalimat.

The discussion of critical thinking skills concerns several multidimensional things, some of them are individual’s decision making and problem solving skills. Critical thinking skills related to an individual's ability to understand some words or sentences. Students who had a high interpretation skill were likely to have a high critical thinking skill as well. Since some studies had proven that students with language background had a high critical thinking skill, this study was aimed to find whether students with Sundanese language background also had high critical thinking skills. Using quantitative approach, this study investigated the level of critical thinking skills of Sundanese Language Education students in a public University, in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The sample in this study was 38 students. This measurement of critical thinking skills uses a test instrument of adolescent critical thinking skills developed by researchers and has moderate reliability. This study used polytomous data, which score range of 0-3 on each item's answer. Based on the results of Scalogram, analyzed using RASCH model, the critical thinking skills of Sundanese Language Education students were in a high category. The validity of this result was shown by the consistency of students in answering questions portrayed in the result of that Scalogram. This finding is allign with several studies that explained that individuals who exceled in language ability and had a high understanding ability, would also have a high critical thinking skill. Some pedagogical implications were also provided in this study.

Fokus penelitian ini adalah implementasi gerakan literasi sekolah di Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu medode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu teknik angket. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket yang disebar secara daring. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya implementasi gerakan literasi sekolah di Jawa Barat sudah berjalan, namun belum optimal. Dari 333 sekolah yang dijadikan sampel penelitian ini di Jawa Barat, hanya 49 sekolah saja yang siswanya mengalami peningkatan prestasi akademik secara signifikan. Di 139 sekolah hanya terjadi pada sebagian besar siswa saja yang mengalami peningkatan akademis, dan di 121 sekolah terjadi peningkatan prestasi pada sebagian kecil siswa saja, bahkan di 24 sekolah menyatakan belum terjadi peningkatan akademik. Adapun hambatan pada kegiatan literasi di sekolah di antaranya kurangnya dukungan dari pemangku kebijakan; keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana; kurangnya motivasi, kesadaran, dan minat siswa; pembiasaan kegiatan literasi yang sangat minim; faktor budaya di lingkungan keluarga dan masyarakat yang kurang mendukung; kurangnya pemahaman terhadap literasi; kurangnya monitoring dan evaluasi dari pemangku kebijakan; minimnya pendanaan untuk kegiatan literasi.

This article describes the findings of a study aimed at producing a set of cultural literacy-oriented critical reading teaching material. This material is developed as a countermeasure to the increasingly thin sensitivity of society, especially the students toward noble values of religion, custom, and culture. With this material student get a significant critical understanding of the discourse with the content of noble value of Indonesian culture. The understanding is attained by students through active reader strategy. There are four important principles developed in understanding the text through this strategy, namely 1) building basic understanding of the text, 2) conducting reading activities in chronological order of the text, 3) identifying the style and language of the text, and 4) critically deepening the understanding of the text. The emphasis on cultural critical understanding became the focus of this research. Thus, critical reading question technique 501 is required. With this technique student can predict causation, establish logical and emotive understanding, and predict the implications of ideas. The implementation of development of this teaching material is based on the stages of Design Based Research. Data is obtained through expert scales and trials to junior high school students in Bandung. The result of this research is a critical reading textbook based on cultural literacy with active reader strategy that is effective to be used for junior high school students. The implication of this research is the acquisition of students' sensitivity toward noble values of religion, custom, and culture that can be internalized in their lives.

Pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia hendaknya disajikan secara utuh ke dalam aspek-aspek keterampilan berbahasa dan bersastra terutama pada pembelajaran apresiasi sastra anak. Cenderung pada sebuah pembelajaran, guru melakukan evaluasi hasil belajar secara diskrit dalam bentuk tes akhir, jarang guru melakukan evaluasi proses berupa pengamatan tingkah laku atau kita sebut dengan penilaian sikap. Pemahaman guru terhadap konsep dan implementasi penilaian sikap masih kurang maksimal, artinya adalah guru masih kesulitan dalam melakukan penilaian sikap yang diterapkan pada bentuk penilaian sikap Kurikulum 2013 yakni, penilaian observasi, jurnal harian, penilaian sejawat, penilain diri sendiri. Untuk mewujudkan suatu bentuk konsep instrumen penilaian sikap yang mudah untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan nilai-nilai moral pada apresiasi sastra yang berupa novel anak, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam sastra anak pada novel anak dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai indikator instrumen penilaian sikap yang berkaitan dengan bentuk kompetensi penilaian sikap Kurikulum 2013 serta memaparkan tahap-tahap konsep bentuk instrumen penilaian sikap pada apresiasi sastra anak yang dapat dikembangkan dari pengkajian novel anak dan didasarkan pada bentuk kompetensi penilaian sikap Kurikulum 2013. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode research and development. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, rekam, dan studi lietratur/pustaka. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif interpretatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; 1) Nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung dalam sastra anak pada novel anak dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai indikator instrumen penilaian sikap. 2) Konsep bentuk instrumen penilaian sikap pada apresiasi sastra anak yang dapat dikembangkan dari pengkajian novel anak dan didasarkan pada bentuk kompetensi penilaian sikap Kurikulum 2013.

This study is motivated by many expert opinions which state that the students' reading motivation in Indonesia still needs to be increased. The researcher tries to answer the problem by trying out a Dramatization Strategy in reading learning with the aim of increasing reading motivation. This strategy is carried out by developing students' cognitive and metacognitive abilities. The experimental method with a factorial design is chosen to determine the effectiveness of the Dramatization Strategy, either for readers with high- or low-level reading comprehension. The data sources of this study are 101 students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bandung Regency and Bandung City. The results of the study show that the Dramatization Strategy is effective in increasing reading motivation, especially for improving reading skills and for social interaction. The implication of the study is the need for the application of the dramatization strategy by adjusting the teachers’ insights and abilities in identifying students' reading motivation.

The unquestionable privilege of the bahasa Indonesia from elementary school to university still requires carefull planning in its practice learning. Language planning of bahasa Indonesia is various development processes to strengthen its position an function as the national and official language of this country. Bahasa Indonesia was a language of instruction in learning activities. Supposedly, in the world of education, the empowerment of bahasa Indonesia as a science can be felt clearly, directly and right on target. From aforementioned description, this research is aimed to discover how the implementation of bahasa Indonesia language planning on every level class of education is, 2013 Curriculum. In data analysis, the authors use qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques. In the next process, the descriptive method is applied as an attempt to provide an overview, or describe the research objectives. The result shows that the implementation of Indonesia languange planning have basically been going well. This is proven by the existence of plans in the curriculum: however, there is still one challenge i.e. teenagers who prefer to speak foreign language in their daily lives. Thus, this sould be an important concern for teachers, so that language planning of bahasa Indonesia can be clearer and more focused.
