Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of tourism implementation through the development of tourism villages in fostering independence and empowerment of the creative economy. This study uses a qualitative approach carried out by taking information from successful tourism village communities in Cirebon Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that the development of tourism villages significantly contributes to the economic independence of local communities through skill improvement, job creation, and strengthening social networks. In addition, the empowerment of the creative economy in tourism villages encourages local product innovation and increases market competitiveness. This implementation is supported by the government, the community, and the private sector, as well as environmental sustainability as the main supporting factor. In conclusion, the development of tourism villages not only increases economic independence, but also strengthens a sustainable creative economy at the local level.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of road maintenance policies by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR) of Indramayu Regency. Good road infrastructure is very important to support people's daily activities and economic growth. This study uses a qualitative approach with the policy implementation theory from Tachjan (2006) which includes the role of actors and organizations, interaction and communication, context and environment, resources and constraints, and evaluation and learning. The results of the study show that the implementation of road maintenance policies in Indramayu still faces several obstacles, namely limited financial and human resources, as well as inhibiting factors such as 1) resources that are still inadequate both for tools, facilities, time or human manpower 2) information and communication that does not run in both directions between the PUPR Office and the community 3) the division of potential such as unclear organizational and bureaucratic structures causing the policy program to seem to float without knowing who is in control.

Abstract

One type of activity of the HIMATIKA UTY organization is holding meetings. This activity is carried out regularly during the management period. However, the management of meeting activities is still done manually so it is not efficient. The purpose of this research is to build the HIMATIKA UTY Meeting Agenda application which is used to optimize the implementation of meeting activities. The system built in this study will implement Firebase Cloud Computing (FCM) which is used by the secretary and management. This application serves to facilitate the secretary in managing meeting activities, managing attendance and submitting permits, and providing notifications to the management if there is a meeting schedule, minutes, or meeting information. Based on the SUS score of 89.08, this system falls into the “Highly Satisfactory” category, indicating that users overall have a very good experience using the system. This figure shows that the system has met the standards of ease of use and good interaction quality.

Abstract

Health is a human right and one of the elements of human welfare that must be realized by the state, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Article 34 paragraph (3) emphasizes that the state is responsible for providing equitable and affordable health service facilities for the entire community. This study aims to determine and analyze the legal formulation of patient protection in medical practice, using the normative legal research method, namely through literature/legislation searches (statute approach) with types of data sources, secondary data supported by primary data. The descriptive research type is then analyzed and presented qualitatively. The high level of public awareness of the importance of health has made people increasingly aware and understand their rights as patients in order to obtain good health services from health workers and hospitals. The legal relationship between doctors and patients as regulated in Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health is a business agreement relationship (inspaning verbentenis), which gives rise to rights and obligations. The community/patients receiving medical practice services have the right to legal protection so that every mistake in carrying out the medical profession is a form of mistake/violation of the law that is worthy of being prosecuted/filed in court as a form of protection for patients, victims of medical malpractice.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Javanese culture on communication patterns among communication science students in campus environments. Javanese culture, rich in values such as harmony, respect, and empathy, plays a pivotal role in shaping interactions among Javanese communication science students. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data was gathered through observations and in-depth interviews with Javanese communication science students at one of campuses in Java. Findings reveal that Javanese communication science students tend to engage in subtle communication and avoid direct conflicts, reflecting their efforts to maintain harmony in daily interactions. The formal and respectful communication patterns observed in their interactions with professors or senior peers also underscore their reverence for social hierarchies ingrained in Javanese culture. Furthermore, Javanese students demonstrate adeptness in adapting to multicultural environments, adjusting their communication styles without compromising their cultural values. Despite technological advances and the influence of social media, traditional Javanese cultural values persist in their online interactions, indicating cultural resilience amidst modernization. This study highlights the significance of cultural education in preserving Javanese cultural identity among students and enhancing understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity on campus. It provides insights into local cultural dynamics within the context of higher education and its relevance in an increasingly interconnected global era.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat siswa dalam memilih program studi di perguruan tinggi. Tujuan : Tujuan penelitian ini agar minat siswa dalam memilih program studi merupakan keputusan penting yang dapat memengaruhi jalur karier dan prestasi akademik mereka di masa depan. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei untuk mengumpulkan data dari 200 siswa di beberapa sekolah menengah atas yang berencana melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur variabel-variabel seperti pengaruh orang tua, teman, media sosial, minat pribadi, serta prospek kerja setelah lulus. Hasil dan Pembahasan : Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor seperti dukungan orang tua dan prospek pekerjaan setelah lulus memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keputusan pemilihan program studi. Di sisi lain, minat pribadi dan rekomendasi teman juga berkontribusi pada keputusan tersebut, meskipun dengan pengaruh yang lebih kecil. Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa cenderung memilih program studi yang memiliki prospek pekerjaan yang baik dan sesuai dengan nilai serta minat pribadi mereka penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi perguruan tinggi untuk merancang program promosi dan informasi yang lebih sesuai dengan preferensi dan kebutuhan calon mahasiswa.

Abstract

Fraud in the government sector is a serious issue that can threaten the stability and efficiency of governance. This study aims to analyze the role of internal government auditors in mitigating fraud risk. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach, examining 10 relevant journals. The results indicate that internal auditors play a crucial role in detecting and preventing fraud by thoroughly examining internal control weaknesses and utilizing modern technology such as Whistleblowing Systems. The effectiveness of internal audits is supported by strong leadership and high awareness of fraud risks, as well as appropriate structural reform policies. The study concludes that effective internal auditing is essential in enhancing transparency and accountability and recommends the need for comparative analysis across regions to evaluate the diversity of internal audit practices. Additionally, further research is needed to explore the impact of information technology and Whistleblowing Systems in fraud prevention, as well as the role of leadership and organizational culture in supporting the internal audit function.

Abstract

Preparation for childbirth is important in planning a safe place and birth attendant. The best delivery is carried out in a health facility and assisted by health workers. Socio-cultural factors include people's choice and trust in birth attendants which is still quite high. This research method is quantitative analytical with the research design used being a survey method with a cross sectional design. Data collection uses primary data using a filled-in questionnaire, while data analysis uses the chi-square test. The population of this study was all mothers giving birth in 2022 in the Rokan IV Koto I Community Health Center Working Area. The sample in this study was 80 mothers giving birth in 2022. The results of this research showed a relationship between social culture (p=0.000) on the decision to choose a place to give birth. The conclusion of this research is that there is a socio-cultural relationship to the choice of place of birth. It is hoped that the community health center can provide information so that all pregnant women give birth in health facilities.

Abstract

Era digital yang semakin berkembang, pembelajaran online menjadi alternatif utama dalam pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran online terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui studi literatur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Dalam mengumpulkan data penelitian ini menggunakan sumber-sumber literatur yang relevan, seperti buku, artikel, dan jurnal. Dan laporan penelitian sebelumnya, untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam konteks pembelajaran online. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pembelajaran online menawarkan fleksibilitas dan aksesibilitas yang lebih baik, tantangan seperti kurangnya interaksi sosial, keterbatasan dukungan dari pengajar, dan kesulitan dalam menjaga disiplin diri dapat mengurangi motivasi mahasiswa. Selain itu, faktor-faktor seperti desain kurikulum yang menarik, penggunaan teknologi yang efektif, dan dukungan komunitas juga berperan penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya strategi pengembangan pembelajaran online yang lebih interaktif dan mendukung untuk meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa dalam proses belajar.

Abstract

Anemia kehamilan merupakan masalah yang banyak ditemukan di semua negara berkembang. Tren prevalensi kejadiannya selalu meningkat. WHO menganjurkan penggunaan Tablet Tambah Darah (Fe) sebagai langkah untuk mencegah anemia defisiensi besi pada ibu hamil. Salah satu faktor utama yang mempengaruhi terjadinya anemia adalah ketidakpatuhan ibu hamil dalam mengkonsumsi Tablet Tambah Darah (Fe) tersebut. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat khususnya ibu hamil mengenai pentingnya kepatuhan dalam mengkonsumsi Tablet Tambah Darah (Fe) sebagai upaya pencegahaan anemia dalam kehamilan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Dusun Wage, kecamatan Praya Barat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah dengan sasaran ibu hamil. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam bentuk edukasi kesehatan menggunakan metode ceramah dan media leaflet. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan motivasi ibu hamil untuk mematuhi anjuran konsumsi Tablet Tambah Darah (Fe). Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pencegahan anemia dan meningkatkan kesehatan ibu serta janin.
