Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principals' academic supervision and teachers' professional competence on the quality of learning in elementary schools. Using a quantitative approach and a survey of 138 teachers, data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression in SPSS version 29. The results showed that principals' academic supervision had a positive and significant effect on the quality of learning (r = 0.520; contribution 27%). Teachers' professional competence also had a positive and significant effect, with a correlation coefficient (r = 0.733) and a coefficient of determination (R² = 0.538), accounting for 53.8% of the variation in learning quality (p < 0.001). Together, academic supervision and teachers' professional competence explained 70% of the variation in learning quality (R² = 0.700; Adjusted R² = 0.695). This regression model was significant (F = 32.879; p < 0.001), indicating that both independent variables explained 70% of the variance in learning quality. These findings suggest that improving academic supervision and strengthening teachers' professional competencies can improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Perkembangan teknologi digital dan tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21 mengharuskan guru sekolah dasar mampu merancang pembelajaran yang bermakna, reflektif, menyenangkan, dan mendorong berpikir tingkat tinggi. Tujuan: Tujuan PKM ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar di Kota Semarang dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Deep Learning serta memanfaatkan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) untuk mendukung pembelajaran. Metode: Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahap persiapan, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi dengan pendekatan partisipatif-kolaboratif. Pelatihan berlangsung selama tiga hari dan diikuti oleh 65 guru sekolah dasar. Hasil: Pelatihan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran inovatif berbasis Deep Learning. Evaluasi peserta menunjukkan rata-rata skor 4,66 dengan kategori sangat baik. Kesimpulan: Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dan mendukung pengembangan pembelajaran adaptif berbasis AI.

Abstract

This research explored the application of the Pancasila Student Profile in differentiated learning for fifth-grade students at Supriyadi Elementary School in Semarang. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicated that while differentiated learning successfully integrated Pancasila values and enhanced student character development, challenges related to time management, teacher preparation, and consistent value application remained. The study concluded that further teacher training and strengthening Pancasila values within differentiated learning are crucial for improving the overall educational experience and fostering students' academic success and character growth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa sekolah dasar yang disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang cenderung berpusat pada guru serta kurangnya penerapan model pembelajaran yang mampu mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan ketuntasan belajar siswa antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning pada siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) dan desain posttest-only control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas IV A sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan model PBL dan kelas IV B sebagai kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning, masing-masing berjumlah 25 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes uraian, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene, serta uji hipotesis Independent Sample T-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok, di mana kelas PBL memperoleh rata-rata nilai 84 dengan ketuntasan belajar mencapai 100%, sedangkan kelas Discovery Learning memperoleh rata-rata nilai 73 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 36%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem-Based Learning lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan Discovery Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa menjadi permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini, yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih bersifat konvensional, berpusat pada guru, serta minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif. Siswa cenderung pasif dan kurang terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dipadukan dengan media Quizizz dan Wordwall dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas II SD Negeri 2 Tahunan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-experimental melalui desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 24 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar matematika setelah penerapan model PBL berbantuan media interaktif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dipadukan dengan Quizizz dan Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Beginning reading literacy is an essential foundation for Indonesian language learning among first grade elementary students. However, classroom findings still indicate low early reading ability caused by limited learning media that are attractive, concrete, and suitable for children’s developmental characteristics. This study aims to examine the design of interactive puzzle media as a potential instructional innovation to support beginning reading literacy for first grade students. The article employed a literature review method by analyzing thirty relevant studies published in nationally accredited Sinta indexed journals. The analysis focused on design principles, major media components, interactive puzzle characteristics, and their effectiveness in supporting early literacy skills. The findings reveal that high quality interactive puzzles contain letter, syllable, and simple word components, supported by engaging visual elements and collaborative group activities that encourage student interaction. The synthesis also demonstrates that effective puzzle designs must emphasize simplicity, gradual difficulty levels, curriculum suitability, including the topic “My Different Friends,” and integration of cognitive and social aspects. Based on literature findings and needs analysis at SD Negeri Traju this study proposes a design expected to become a practical and valid reference for first grade learning media.

Abstract

Learning in elementary schools requires the development of 21st-century skills, one of which is collaboration, which serves as a foundation for students' social interaction (Maharani et al., 2024). This study aims to critically analyze the implementation of collaborative learning among first-grade elementary school students as well as the factors that influence it (Yubi et al., 2024). The method used is a literature review by analyzing various scientific journals relevant to the topic of student collaboration (’Ula et al., 2024). The results of the study indicate that collaborative learning can improve students' social skills, learning motivation, and conceptual understanding (Astria et al., 2025). However, its implementation still faces challenges such as students' limited communication skills and teachers' readiness in managing collaborative learning (Syarif, 2023). Social constructivism theory from Vygotsky and cognitive development theory from Piaget reinforce the importance of social interaction in the student learning process (Vygotsky, 1978). Therefore, well-planned instructional strategies that align with the characteristics of lower-grade students are needed to ensure that collaboration can be carried out optimally (Wahyuni & Muhibbin, 2024).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with environmental literacy and local wisdom in enhancing the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a comparative study design. The population of this study consists of all third-grade students at SDN Candi and SDN Batiombo 02, with a sample of 46 students. This sample includes 25 students in the experimental class implementing PBL integrated with environmental literacy and 21 students in the control class implementing PBL integrated with local wisdom. Data collection techniques included tests (pre-test and post-test), as well as teacher and student observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis, normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing with paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain tests. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in learning outcomes in both classes, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The N-Gain test results show that the experimental class achieved an average score of 0.7129 (high category), while the control class achieved 0.6096 (moderate category). Furthermore, teacher and student activities in the experimental class were more optimal than those in the control class. The findings of this study demonstrate that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with environmental literacy is more effective than the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with local wisdom in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective interactive coding-based module on the food chain topic in Natural Sciences (IPAS) to improve the analytical and logical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The trial subjects consisted of 21 fifth-grade students at SDN Kembangarum 2 Mranggen, Demak, Central Java. Data collection instruments included expert validation sheets, observation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest assessments. Data analysis was conducted using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, including N-gain analysis, normality and homogeneity tests, and paired-sample t-tests. The main findings show that: (1) the developed module integrates science concepts with coding using ScratchJr; (2) the module demonstrates a very high level of validity based on expert evaluations (average 95%) and practitioner assessments (average >94%); (3) the module is categorized as highly practical, with a practicality score of 91% based on teacher and student responses; and (4) the module is effective in improving students’ analytical and logical thinking skills, as indicated by an N-gain score of 0.7299 (high category) and a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest results (p < 0.001). In addition, the findings indicate that the module contributes to transforming the science learning paradigm in elementary schools from conventional teacher-centered instruction to a more student-centered, interactive, creative, and technology-integrated learning process. Through coding activities, students are encouraged to actively explore concepts, solve problems systematically, and develop higher-order thinking skills, making science learning more meaningful and relevant to the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

Karakteristik peserta didik seperti kurangnya kedisiplinan, malas belajar, tidak bertanggung jawab, berbohong menjadi hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pendidikan. Pendidikan tidak hanya membangun pengetahuan akademik saja, tetapi pendidikan karakter juga harus diperhatikan. Model PBL berbantu media film Taare Zameen Par dapat meningkatkan nilai karakter peserta didik kelas IV. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui terdapat perbedaan dan pengaruh penggunaan model PBL berbantu film Taare Zameen Par terhadap nilai karakter peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar. kausalitas yang disusun untuk meneliti kemungkinan adanya hubungan sebab-akibat antar variabel. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas IV SD Kusuma Bhakti Semarang. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan penggunaan model PBL tanpa bantuan media berpengaruh terhadap nilai karakter peserta didik dengan hasil rata-rata sebesar 96,375 dengan nilai minimum 56 dan maksimum 140 serta nilai Std. Varian sebesar 27,442. Sedangkan dengan bantuan media berupa film, menunjukkan hasil rata-rata sebesar 119,42 dengan nilai minimum 82 dan maksimum 140 serta nilai Std. Varian sebesar 17,29. Dengan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan penggunaan model pembelajaran PBL berbantu media film memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai karakter peserta didik terlihat dimana hasil nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan lebih besar daripada hasil rata-rata pada penggunaan model PBL tanpa bantuan media apapun.
