Abstract

This study examines the historical and cultural importance of the Talang Tuo Inscription and its potential as a heritage tourism resource in South Sumatra. Prior studies have predominantly concentrated on its philological and religious dimensions, resulting in a deficiency in comprehending its significance for cultural heritage management and sustainable tourism development. Commissioned by Dapunta Hyang Sri Jayanasa in 684 AD, the inscription encapsulates Sriwijaya’s ethical, spiritual, ecological, and humanitarian perspective, highlighting welfare, social cohesion, and equilibrium with nature. This study utilizes the historical method, incorporating heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, and is based on inscription analysis, literature review, and field observations conducted at the Balaputera Dewa Museum. The findings indicate that the inscription served not only as an administrative record but also as a political and cultural manifesto that defined Sriwijaya’s identity as an ethical and ecological civilization. Currently, it has significant potential to advance heritage tourism through digital integration (AR/VR), site collaboration, and community-based management. This study emphasizes the need to convert the Talang Tuo Inscription into dynamic heritage, to enhance cultural diplomacy and sustainable heritage tourism, and to present a novel framework that amalgamates historical analysis with cultural tourism planning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model in class V.A SD Negeri 27 Palembang. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which was carried out in three cycles. Each cycle involved planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. For data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative approaches were employed.  The results showed a significant increase in students' learning outcomes in Chapter 2 “Harmony in Ecosystems”. The average score of students increased from 62.6 in cycle I with 62% learning completeness, to 70.1 in cycle II with 70% learning completeness, and reached 83.3 in cycle III with 83% learning completeness. Thus, the PBL learning model proved effective in improving student learning outcomes in IPAS subjects in class V.A SD Negeri 27 Palembang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal menggunakan FlipHTML5 untuk materi descriptive text di SMP Negeri 2 Lahat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 220 siswa kelas VIII. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa serta tanggapan mereka terhadap media pembelajaran. Data yang didapat akan dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan bantuan SPSS 25. Hasil menunjukkan 85% siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami descriptive text. Namun, mayoritas siswa (89,1%) antusias dengan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal yang menggunakan FlipHTML5. Sebanyak 90,5% siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap media ini, dan 92,3% menyatakan bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal dengan teknologi membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar yang menggabungkan kearifan lokal dan teknologi digital dapat berpotensi meningkatkan pemahaman siswa sekaligus mendorong keterlibatan mereka dalam proses belajar. Selain itu, bahan ajar ini diharapkan membantu siswa mencapai kompetensi akademik dan memperkuat identitas budaya di tengah tantangan global.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low effectiveness of conventional learning in improving students' literacy on environmental issues in junior high schools. The learning media used by educators tend to be monotonous and less interactive, thus not suitable for the characteristics of the digital generation. This study aims to analyze the need for developing interactive infographics based on Genially as an innovative solution in science learning. The method used was qualitative descriptive with interview techniques and questionnaire distribution to 5 educators and 100 students at SMP Negeri 16 Palembang. The results showed that educators experienced obstacles in using digital media, low learning interactivity, and difficulty explaining abstract concepts. Meanwhile, students showed high interest in visual media, communicative language, and technology-based learning. Needs analysis showed that the development of Genially-based interactive media is highly relevant for improving science literacy, active participation, and critical attitudes towards environmental issues. In conclusion, Genially-based interactive infographics have the potential to be an effective tool in creating engaging, contextual, and humanistic learning in line with the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and analyze the need for interactive e-comics based on the traditional game of Tungkupan as a learning medium for early childhood in Palembang. The research method used is descriptive exploratory with a mixed-methods approach, which includes a quantitative survey of 141 kindergarten teachers and qualitative interviews with 30 kindergarten children. The results of the study indicate that the development of e-comics based on local culture can increase learning interest, strengthen cultural identity, and support the development of children's digital literacy from an early age. The main obstacles faced are limited access to devices and internet connections, as well as the need for attractive and relevant media design. E-comics that feature the traditional game of Tungkupan not only serve as an educational medium but also as a tool for preserving local culture, in line with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum and culture-based pedagogy. With a collaborative design that considers technological aspects and local values, this innovation is expected to enrich children's learning experiences and preserve cultural heritage in the digital age.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the team-assisted individualization model on the social skills of students in the historical subjects in Senior High School Palembang. The type of method used in this study is quasi-experimental. Class XI IPA 3 as an experimental class using random sampling. Data collection techniques used in this study are using questionnaire and observation, data analysis techniques used data homogeneity test, data linearity test, and simple regression test with significant level Fhitung ˃ Ftabel with real level (α = 0,05). The result of Fhitung obtained is 5,40 while to find Ftabel that is db = 1 as the numerator and db = 34 as the denominator and consulted to table F is obtained 4,13. Statistical calculations have obtained the results Fhitung ˃ Ftabel (5,40 ˃ 4,13) that means there was the influence of team assisted individualization model on the social skills of students in the historical subjects in Senior High School Palembang.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran team assisted individualization terhadap keterampilan sosial peserta didik pada mata pelajaran sejarah Sekolah Menengah Atas Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan quasi eksperimen. Kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yakni dengan menggunakan angket dan observasi. Teknik uji prasyarat analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji homogenitas data, uji linearitas data, dan uji regresi sederhana dengan taraf signifikan Fhitung ˃ Ftabel dan taraf α = 0,05. Hasil Fhitung didapat 5,40 sementara untuk mencari Ftabel yakni db = 1 sebagai pembilang dan db = 34 sebagai penyebut dan di konsultasikan ke tabel F didapat 4,13. Perhitungan statistik diperoleh hasil Fhitung˃ Ftabel (5,40 ˃ 4,13) yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran team assisted individualization terhadap keterampilan sosial peserta didik pada mata pelajaran sejarah di Sekolah Menengah Atas Palembang.

Abstract

This study discusses the government structure of Palembang during the Japanese occupation in 1942-1945, especially regarding the Syu government. The research method used is historical or historical research methods. The purpose of this research is to increase knowledge and dig deeper into the history of Palembang City and also to highlight the historical traces of the Palembang regional political system during the reign of Japan. This research is related to the Syu government system or called Residency. The results of this study are that before the Japanese came and colonized the archipelago, the Palembang area had rules made by the Dutch and customary law then Japan arrived in Sumatra and issued a new law called Seirei (Osamu Seirei), this rule book discusses military government, which levels consist of Syuugun (residence), Bansyuu (sub-residence), Gun (district), and Son (sub-district), the unique thing is that even though it seems to have changed, in fact, the constitutional structure is the same as the previous system but only changes in terms.Penelitian ini membahas tentang struktur pemerintahan Palembang pada masa pendudukan Jepang tahun 1942-1945 khususnya mengenai pemerintahan Syu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian sejarah atau historis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menambah ilmu pengetahuan serta menggali lebih dalam mengenai sejarah di Kota Palembang juga mengangkat jejak historis dari sistem politik daerah Palembang saat berkuasanya Jepang. Penelitian ini terkait sistem pemerintahan Syu atau disebut Keresidenan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebelum Jepang datang dan menjajah wilayah nusantara, daerah Palembang telah terdapat aturan yang dibuat Belanda serta hukum adat kemudian Jepang tiba di Sumatera dan mengeluarkan sebuah Undang-undang baru bernama Seirei (Osamu Seirei), kitab aturan ini membahas tentang pemerintahan militer, yang mana tingkatannya terdiri atas Syuugun (Karesidenan), Bansyuu (sub karesidenan), Gun (distrik), dan Son (subdistrik), uniknya walaupun terkesan berubah tetapi sebenarnya susunan ketatanegaraan ini sama dengan sistem sebelumnya namun hanya mengalami pergantian istilah.

Abstract

The essence in this writing is the treasury in the preservation of Palembang's local history that is minimal in the literature of the Japanese occupation. Studies in the field of the local economy in Palembang during the Japanese occupation are still few, for the existence of this writing can be a part of the wealth of local history. The main point of this research is the economy as a supporter of Japan's military war, not focusing on the economy of local communities. This paper uses historical research methods, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Palembang's rich mineral resource potential became a supporter of the Great East Asian War by Japan in 1942-1945. This paper presents images and tables as simplifications in reconstruction results.Intisari dari penulisan ini adalah khazanah pelestarian sejarah lokal Palembang yang minim dalam literatur pendudukan Jepang. Kajian di bidang ekonomi lokal di Palembang pada masa pendudukan Jepang masih sedikit, agar keberadaan tulisan ini dapat menjadi bagian dari kekayaan sejarah lokal. Pokok dari penelitian ini adalah ekonomi sebagai pendukung perang militer Jepang, tidak terfokus pada ekonomi masyarakat lokal. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah, yaitu heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Potensi sumber daya mineral Palembang yang kaya menjadi pendukung Perang Asia Timur Raya oleh Jepang pada tahun 1942-1945. Makalah ini menyajikan gambar dan tabel sebagai penyederhanaan dalam hasil rekonstruksi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study explains the Japanese attack strategy and Dutch defense and its impact on the environment in Palembang. The method used is the historical method by utilizing primary sources such as memoirs of historical actors, contemporaneous newspapers, as well as secondary sources such as books and scientific articles. This research also uses geography with an environmental perspective. The results show that Japan implemented a combined land, sea and air strategy with paratroopers as the main force to capture Palembang. Meanwhile, the Dutch focused on protecting airfields and oil refineries with scorched earth tactics if pressed. Environmental impacts of the conflict included air pollution from oil refinery fires and pollution of the Musi River by oil spills and war waste. The novelty of this research lies in the study of the environmental aspects of Japanese military operations in Palembang that have not been widely discussed before. This research provides a new perspective on the impact of war on the environment in a historical context.

Abstract

Implementation of Project-Based Learning Styles and Multiple Learning Objects to Promote  the Pancasila Student Profile. Objective: The objective of this study is to illustrate the implementation of project-based learning (PBL) based-on learning styles and multiple learning objects (MLO) to promote the Pancasila student profile. Methods: This quantitative study employs a descriptive research design involving 7th-grade students at SMPN 51 Palembang as the subjects. Data collection involves interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Descriptive statistical techniques are utilized for data analysis, while qualitative data is quantitatively analyzed. Findings: It was found that implementing learning in accordance with the PBL syntax using various learning media as MLO designed to match learning styles can stimulate the emergence of the six characters within the Pancasila student profile. Conclusion: The utilization of the PBL model aligned with learning styles and MLO can effectively foster the development of the Pancasila student profile. Keywords: project based learning, learning styles, multiple learning objectives, merdeka curriculum.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i3.202332
