Abstract

Islamic boarding schools have the potential to develop economic independence. To support pesantren-based economic empowerment, a community service was held using the Community Based Research (CBR) method which was carried out at Saifullah An Nahdiyah Namorambe Deli Serdang Islamic boarding school. There are several strategies that can be implemented to realize pesantren-based economic empowerment, namely the Circulation Strategy, Supply-Chain and Economic Integration, Joint Stakeholder Economic Empowerment, Collaboration with Surrounding Communities, Empowerment of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah and Waqf Funds. The results of the service show that this activity provides positive value for pesantren managers with a high level of enthusiasm.

Abstract

The rapid economic growth in Indonesia, especially in the retail sector, has affected the consumption patterns of people in big cities such as Medan. This article examines the influence of price perception on consumer purchasing decisions at Swalayan Grosir Indah, a minimarket chain that provides a variety of basic needs. This research uses Deep Interview, Training, and Participatory methods to understand consumers' perceptions of price and determine effective pricing strategies. The results show that discounts have a significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions. Discounts offered provide immediate benefits that increase consumers' attractiveness and motivation to make purchases, while promotions also play an important role although not as big as discounts. Fair and transparent pricing contributes to increased consumer satisfaction and loyalty, and encourages repeat purchases. The findings provide valuable insights for retail businesses in formulating pricing strategies that can improve consumer satisfaction and purchase decisions.

Abstract

Secondhand clothing, especially among teens, has become more fashionable because most people consider it unique and classic. Indonesia sold more imported used garments due to their higher quality and lower price. Demand for imported used clothes is rising. Fans and customers can buy affordable, wearable famous brand outfits. This study examines how brand image, quality, and price affect buying decisions. This quantitative study collects data using a questionnaire and analyzes it using IBM SPSS Software. Probability and puposive sampling were utilized in this investigation. Research instrument tests, classical assumption tests, model accuracy tests, multiple linear analysis, and partial tests are used in data analysis. Brand image, product quality, and price influence Medan City Thriftshop clothes purchases, according to Hasi research. Brand image strongly influences used apparel purchases. Brand image t test has 0.000 0.05 significant level and 3.904> 1.655 tcount> ttable value. Product quality strongly influences used clothing purchases. The t-test results for product quality indicate a significance level of 0.000 <0.05 and a tcount> ttable value of 1.747> 1.655. Price strongly influences used clothing purchases. The t-test results for the price variable indicate a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05 and a tcount value of 3.753> 1.655 Thus, brand image, quality, and pricing influence purchases

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the development strategy of the halal tourist village in the district of Samosir. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews of 17 informants obtained through purposive sampling techniques, closed questionnaires, and non-participant observations. Data is analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and SWOT using IFAS and EFAS matrices. The results of the research showed that the internal factors that are the strengths of the development of Samosir halal tourism village are the potential of nature, regional culture, hospitality of the community, accessibility, facilities, and prices. While internal factors which are weaknesses are the professional SDM, supporting infrastructure, digital promotion, financial support, public participation, as well as the coordination of stakeholders. External factors that become opportunities include global halal tourist trends, central government support, accessibleness and infrastructures, information technology and digital marketing, interests of investment in the halal Tourism sector, and the empowerment of the village tourism community programmes. While the threats faced are competition of halal travel destinations, local tourist interests, synergy between stakeholder, regulatory support and policy risks, social conflict and resilience of the society, and risks of health crises and natural disasters. Future development strategies need to focus on internal turn-around towards balanced and sustainable growth and stability through enhanced SDM capacity, accelerated infrastructure, optimized digital promotion, increased public participation, and strengthened stakeholder coordination. The next strategy that can be applied is horizontal integration, which is to develop and integrate existing halal tourism products and services to be more complete and attractive to tourists.

Abstract

Waste management is closely associated with industry. Poor waste management practices can negatively affect the environment, contaminate nearby areas, and pose health risks to people. In light of these issues, this study focuses on 1) How to process the use of solid waste and liquid waste so that it can be reused or consumed again.2 ) What is Maslahah Mursale's analysis of the value of Hifdzu an-Nafs, Hifdzu al-Mal, Hifdzu al-Bi'ah in handling trash from the tofu business. This study employs a qualitative methodology as a case study. This study's main sources of data include observations, conversations with tofu factory managers, local communities and consumers who buy tofu waste and descriptive analysis. Reviewed with secondary data in the form of general conditions of the research location as well as journals, previous research and matters related to research. Techniques for qualitative descriptive data analysis are used in this study. The findings of this study are 1) in the management of liquid waste from the tofu industry into Nata de soya which has economic value. 2) in the management of liquid waste in the tofu industry in Kel. Sari Rejo, the researchers linked several efforts that were or were not in accordance with maqasid syari'ah. There are three points, namely hifdzuh Hifdzu al-mal (care for assets), hifdzu al bi'ah (care for the environment), and an-nafs (care for the soul).

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is an indicator to measure the quality of human life that aims to achieve the level of public welfare. The HDI has three elements, namely health, education achieved, and a decent standard of living in terms of the economy. In increasing the Human Development Index (HDI) can be achieved by increasing education, health, and income. The income in question is per capita income, and to support education and health in order to continue to increase, a budget issued by the government is needed. This study uses quantitative methods and data processed using Eviews 12 with technical data analysis using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variable per capita income (X1) in the long term has a significant negative effect on the Human Development Index (Y) and the magnitude of its influence is 27.1%. The Education Budget variable (X2) in the long run has a significant positive effect on the Human Development Index variable (Y) and the effect is 12.4%. And the Health Budget variable (X3) in the short term has a significant positive effect on the Human Development Index variable (Y) and the effect on the Y variable is 1.6%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of investment and consumption in the renewable energy sector in sustainable economic development. This research uses a quantitative method of multiple linear regression analysis processed with Eviews 13 software. This research uses renewable energy sector investment data in 2017-2023 with data sources from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of EBTKE, renewable energy consumption data sourced from the World Bank as well as emission reduction data as a result of the existence of renewable energy in accordance with the 7th pillar of the SDGs. This research found results where there is a negative relationship between investment and reducing CO2 emissions and a positive relationship between consumption and reducing CO2 emissions. However, partially and simultaneously all independent variables have an effect on reducing CO2 emissions. This is in accordance with data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, currently the renewable energy mix is only 13%, this is weakening due to the pandemic in 2020-2022. So, to increase energy security in the future, there must be increased investment in renewable energy in sustainable development because conventional energy sources are increasingly depleted and environmental pollution can disrupt ecosystems and economic systems.

Abstract

This study aims to identify whether the factors of liquidity, leverage have a significant influence on financial distress in Islamic General Insurance Companies in Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive method with quantitative data analysis in this research population, namely all General Sharia Insurance Companies in Indonesia in 2020. In this research sample, namely three General Sharia Insurance Companies in Indonesia, using multiple linear regression analysis techniques and processed using the assistance of the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 computer application program. According to the partial fact that liquidity has a significant effect on financial distress. Partially, leverage has a significant effect on financial distress. Simultaneous estimation explains that the financial distress variable is influenced by liquidity and leverage factors simultaneously. Investors and potential investors who are considering investing in the company PT Asuransi Umum Syariah should consider the company's financial condition, such as liquidity and liabilities, which have a significant influence when predicting the situation of a company facing financial difficulties. You need to pay attention to indicators and thus you can minimize your risk namely the risk of loss.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity and Islamic banking knowledge on the interest of Islamic banking students class of 2018 to choose to work in Islamic banking at UIN-SU faculties of economics and business. The data collection method in this study was the questionnaire method, namely distributing a list of statements (questionnaires) that would be filled out or answered by respondents to Islamic banking students class of 2018. To manage and analyze the data obtained and make research conclusions, quantitative analysis was used with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. which aims to obtain a comprehensive picture of the relationship between variables with the help of the SPSS (Statistical Package For Social Sciences) Version 2.9 program. The test results show that knowledge of Islamic banking has a significant effect on the interest of Islamic banking students to choose to work in Islamic banking, and religiosity has a significant effect on the interest of Islamic banking students to choose to work in Islamic banking. The predictive ability of these two variables on the interest of students to have careers in Islamic financial institutions is 46.7% while the rest is influenced by other external factors. Abstract

This study aims to identify aspects that can influence the decision to purchase green products in the city of Medan with a case study on LoveBeauty &Planet products. The method in this study is quantitative descriptive using primary data, with a sample of 100 valid respondents obtained through the distribution of questionnaires and processed using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis tool. By testing three independent variables, namely GPK (Green Product Knowledge), GPQ (Green Perceived Quality), and Life Style where these three variables will be tested for their effect on dependent variables, namely Buy Dec (Buying Decision). The results showed that the green product knowledge factor has a very small influence on consumer decisions, while the Green Perceived Quality factor influences consumer purchasing decisions and also Life Style has a significant influence on purchasing decisions.
