Abstract

Chicken eggshells, commonly discarded as household and industrial waste, present a valuable opportunity for sustainable use due to their abundant quantity. This study explores the potential of utilizing chicken eggshells as a natural protein source to create eco-friendly skincare products, particularly peel-off gel masks, which can combat free radicals and enhance skin elasticity and moisture. The research focused on determining the optimal conditions for protein extraction from chicken eggshells using acetic acid solvent and varying extraction times. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was employed to optimize these conditions. The protein extraction process involved testing the extracted protein for biuret reaction using spectrophotometry, determining protein content with Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), and evaluating the physical properties of the resulting peel-off gel mask. The results indicated that both solvent concentration and extraction time significantly impact the yield of protein. The optimal conditions were found to be an acetic acid concentration of 0.5 M and an extraction time of 24 hours, which produced a yield of 5.064%. The RSM model validation showed a p-value 0.05, a desirability index of 0.887, and a predicted yield of 3.080%, with a deviation of 1.98% from the actual yield. These findings suggest that the model is accurate and reliable for further development of the peel-off gel mask. This approach not only provides a sustainable use for eggshell waste but also contributes to the development of high-quality, natural skincare products.

Abstract

Abstract: Basically, zoning itself is a development of rayonation, when rayonation is a division of territory based on agreement, then zoning emphasizes more on the division of territory according to its function and management objectives. In the education zoning system, the function and purpose of management is to accelerate the equalization of education quality in Indonesian educational units. The emergence of superior schools and outlying schools in Indonesia is due to the selection of the quality of prospective students in accepting new students. One of the government's efforts to improve and equalize quality education is to implement a zoning system for accepting new students. Through the zoning system, students who live close to schools have a better chance of being accepted at educational units. The provisions of the zoning system according to Permendikbud No. 14 of 2018 are the priorities of prospective students (junior high school and high school) who must be accepted including: first, the distance from residence to school according to zoning provisions; second, domicile or transfer of family card; and third, academic and non-academic achievements. Meanwhile, the zoning system is the second consideration for the elementary school level after the minimum age factor for entering school has been met. The formulation of the problem in this study is: (1) What is meant by the Zoning System, (2) How is the implementation of the Zoning System policy in Mataram City Middle Schools, (3) What is the impact of the Zoning System policy on the distribution of the number of new students in Mataram City Middle Schools. Meanwhile, the objectives of the study to be achieved are: (1) To find out the objectives of the zoning system, (2) Describe and analyze the implementation of the zoning system policy in Mataram City Middle Schools, (3) Identify and analyze the impact of the zoning system policy on the distribution of the number of new students in Mataram City Middle Schools. Based on the results of the study, it show that the zoning system in Mataram City is still not optimal in providing equal access to education. As a result, schools in Mataram City, especially in Ampenan District and Sekarbela District, still have many students in shortage.Key Words: Zoning System Policy, Equalizing, Students

Abstract

The teaching methods of Prophet Muhammad SAW, as reflected in tarbawi hadiths, offer universal Islamic educational values that remain relevant across various contexts, including modern learning. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Prophet's teaching methods, highlighting Islamic educational values and their relevance to contemporary education. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytic method was employed. Primary data consisted of hadiths from standard collections such as Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, while secondary data included tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis) and sharh (commentary on hadith). Data collection was conducted through literature study, and thematic content analysis was utilised for analysis. The findings identified four main teaching methods of the Prophet: questioning, role modelling, storytelling, and hands-on practice. The questioning method fosters critical and analytical thinking, while role modelling is pertinent to character education. Storytelling facilitates understanding of concepts through narrative techniques, and hands-on practice aligns with experiential learning approaches. The study concludes that the Prophet’s teaching methods are highly relevant to modern learning, including problem-based learning, role modelling, and project-based learning. The study recommends integrating the Prophet’s methods into Islamic education curricula and developing educational technology grounded in Islamic values to support digital learning. Practical implications include educator training and technological innovation to enhance the quality of education in Islamic institutions. Future research is recommended to empirically test the application of these methods to measure their impact on learning quality and character development.
