Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the hidden curriculum in shaping students’ character at SMA Pondok Schooling Darul Ilmi in Bandung Regency and to formulate strategic strengthening based on SWOT analysis. The research employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design to explore students’ lived experiences and the process of value internalization within the daily life of a boarding school environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, limited participant observation, and document analysis. The primary research subjects were students selected purposively to represent everyday experiences in the boarding school setting, while supporting informants included the principal, teachers, homeroom teachers, dormitory mentors, and school staff who interact closely with students. Data credibility was ensured through source and technique triangulation as well as interview verification through member checking. Data analysis was conducted thematically through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings were further interpreted through a managerial perspective using the POLC functions (planning, organizing, leadership, and controlling) and were strategically mapped using a Qualitative Integrated SWOT framework. The results indicate that students’ character development primarily occurs through structured habituation embedded in the daily rhythm of classroom and dormitory life, the role modeling of adult actors within the school, the quality of teacher–student relationships, and the application of educational and restorative consequences. The dominant character values identified include integrity, discipline, responsibility, empathy, and emotional regulation. The boarding school environment functions as a social ecosystem that strengthens value internalization through repeated social interaction, collective norms, and consistent institutional culture. SWOT analysis reveals that the effectiveness of the hidden curriculum is supported by the structured boarding school rhythm and strong relational culture, although it still requires reinforcement through consistent role modeling, improved restorative consequences, and strengthened digital literacy and student self-regulation. Keywords: hidden curriculum; character education; boarding school; educational management; SWOT analysis.

Abstract

The Emergency Department (ED) is a strategic service unit of hospitals with a high level of complexity and a significant potential for patient complaints if service quality is not optimally managed. Patient complaints not only reflect dissatisfaction but can also be utilized as a constructive effort for service quality improvement. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) by employees toward constructive hospital efforts as measured through patient complaints in the Emergency Department of Sultan Imanuddin Regional General Hospital. This study employed a quantitative method with descriptive and verificative approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to ED staff and supported by patient complaint records, then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that both partially and simultaneously, TQM dimensions including customer focus, leadership, continuous improvement, employee involvement, process approach, and fact-based decision making have a significant effect on constructive hospital efforts. Proper implementation of TQM is proven to reduce the number of complaints and improve the quality of emergency services. This study concludes that consistent implementation of TQM is an important strategy in managing patient complaints as a means of continuous improvement and enhancement of hospital service quality.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to empirically examine the effects of work environment, work experience, and education level on employee performance, as well as to analyze the mediating role of compensation in Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Research Methodology: A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was employed, with a sample of 110 employees working in SOEs, each with at least five years of work experience. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire on a 5-point Likert scale. Results: The study found that the work environment, work experience, and education level significantly impacted employee performance. However, compensation did not directly affect the performance. Compensation only mediated the relationship between work experience and performance, not between the work environment and education level. Conclusions: The work environment, work experience, and education level significantly affect employee performance in SOEs. Compensation was found to mediate the relationship between work experience and performance, but not for the work environment or education level. These results suggest that a conducive work environment, relevant work experience, and education can enhance performance. Compensation can serve as an additional motivator for high-performing employees to engage in CWB. Limitations: This study is limited to employees in State-Owned Enterprises and uses a cross-sectional design, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. Future research should include other sectors and additional variables. Contributions: This study contributes to the HRM literature by clarifying the inconsistent role of compensation and highlighting the importance of experiential and environmental factors in enhancing employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction in the influence of human resources (HR) and organizational culture on the quality of the One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) at the Bandung High Court. The background of this study is the persistence of public complaints regarding aspects of service speed and procedures, which indicates the need to strengthen internal organizational factors. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method. The research sample consisted of 103 employees determined using the Slovin formula from a total population of 137 people. Data were analyzed using path analysis with the help of IBM SPSS version 26. The results showed that HR and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and service quality. Job satisfaction was proven to have a significant effect on service quality. However, the Sobel test showed that job satisfaction does not act as a significant mediator in the relationship between HR and organizational culture on service quality. Organizational culture has a more dominant influence than HR. This finding confirms that improving service quality in judicial institutions is more effective if it is focused on directly strengthening HR and organizational culture, in addition to efforts to improve employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Implementation (X1) and Digital Literacy (X2) on Patient Service Efficiency (Y) at Hospital X. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected from 41 healthcare staff using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity, were conducted to ensure the validity and reliability of the regression model. The results indicate that EMR Implementation has a significant positive effect on Patient Service Efficiency, demonstrating that the effective use, integration, and accessibility of EMR systems are crucial for enhancing hospital service efficiency. In contrast, Digital Literacy shows a positive but not statistically significant effect, suggesting that while digital skills are necessary, they have a limited impact without robust system implementation and organizational support. Simultaneously, EMR Implementation and Digital Literacy together significantly influence Patient Service Efficiency, with the regression model explaining 61.5% of the variance.

Abstract

Incident reporting is a crucial component of patient safety systems; however, underreporting remains a persistent issue in healthcare organizations. This study aims to analyze the effect of psychological safety and learning climate on incident reporting behavior among healthcare professionals. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed, involving healthcare workers at Hospital X as respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that psychological safety has a positive and significant effect on incident reporting behavior, suggesting that individuals are more likely to report incidents when they feel safe from blame or negative consequences. Learning climate also shows a positive and significant effect, indicating that a supportive environment that promotes learning and non-punitive responses to errors enhances reporting practices. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence incident reporting behavior. The coefficient of determination (R²) shows that 50.7% of the variation in reporting behavior can be explained by psychological safety and learning climate.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of service quality, hospital facilities, and patient satisfaction on patient loyalty in healthcare institutions. Patient loyalty represents a strategic goal for hospitals, as it ensures sustainable retention, enhances reputation, and reduces marketing costs associated with acquiring new patients. The research employs a literature review method, analyzing previous empirical studies and theoretical frameworks related to healthcare service quality, facilities, patient satisfaction, and loyalty. Service quality is conceptualized through both technical and functional dimensions, encompassing accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, empathetic staff interactions, and responsiveness. Hospital facilities include physical infrastructure, medical equipment, room comfort, cleanliness, accessibility, and environmental factors that contribute to patients’ overall experience. Patient satisfaction serves as both an outcome of service quality and facilities and a mediating factor that translates positive perceptions into loyal behaviors. The results indicate that service quality and hospital facilities individually and jointly have a significant effect on patient satisfaction, which in turn strongly influences patient loyalty. High service quality enhances trust, confidence, and emotional attachment, while superior facilities provide tangible evidence of professionalism and care.
