Abstract

We provide an overview of the research on cultivating sustainable employee engagement and well-being initiatives in Indonesian organizations. The study aimed to comprehensively examine the strategies employed, the challenges faced, and the impact of these initiatives on organizational performance in the Indonesian context. The research was rooted in a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods to understand the subject matter better. Data was collected from surveys, interviews, and organizational records. Stratified random sampling was employed for surveys, while purposive sampling was used for interviews, ensuring a diverse and representative dataset. Our analysis incorporated descriptive statistics and inferential statistical methods, such as regression analysis, for quantitative data. Qualitative data underwent thematic analysis, allowing for the identification of patterns and themes. Integrating both data types enabled triangulation and a more profound insight into the research questions. Ethical considerations were paramount throughout the research, with data treated confidentially and participant identities protected. Informed consent was obtained from all participants, and potential biases or conflicts of interest were transparently addressed. While the mixed- methods approach enriched our understanding, it did pose resource and time constraints. While valuable within the Indonesian context, the findings may not be universally applicable. Additionally, challenges related to data collection, such as participant availability and the completeness of organizational records, were acknowledged. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge by offering insights into the strategies and impact of sustainable employee engagement and well-being initiatives in Indonesian organizations while shedding light on the challenges faced in implementing such programs.

Abstract

Indonesia's technological landscape is in a state of constant evolution, offering both unprecedented opportunities and formidable challenges to businesses. Strategic Human Resource (HR) optimization has emerged as a critical imperative to thrive in this dynamic environment. This research delves into the pivotal role of HR management in achieving sustainable profitability within the Indonesian technological landscape. The study employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative data from surveys and interviews with HR professionals, business leaders, and employees and qualitative data from industry reports and case studies. The findings underscore the importance of strategic HR optimization, revealing four key aspects: the role of HR in technological transformation, addressing the skills gap, promoting diversity and inclusion, and prioritizing employee engagement and well-being. In-depth analysis demonstrates that HR departments are crucial in guiding organizations through digital transformation. Aligning HR strategies with technology adoption leads to higher success rates and reduced resistance to change. Furthermore, a significant skills gap in the workforce demands substantial investment in training and development programs. Embracing diversity and inclusion fosters innovation and competitiveness  while  prioritizing  employee  engagement  and  well-being increases productivity and profitability. This research provides practical insights for businesses operating in Indonesia's ever-changing technological landscape. Professionals must continuously adapt to evolving skill set requirements, including SEO expertise, data analytics proficiency, and creative marketing skills. Staying updated with industry trends and embracing technology, particularly AI and automation, are essential. Performance outcomes, including ROI, conversion rates, and brand engagement, serve as success metrics. Abstract

Behavioral economics, a dynamic field at the intersection of psychology and economics, recognizes that human decision-making is far from the rational, utility- maximizing model traditionally assumed in economic theory. This study delves into the profound implications of cognitive biases on decision-making and explores how effective economic communication can mitigate their effects. Key findings reveal the prevalence of cognitive biases, including confirmation bias, anchoring, and loss aversion, impacting a majority of decision-makers. These biases significantly affect personal finance, investment, and public policy choices. Effective communication strategies, message framing, and behavioral insights are pivotal in countering these biases and improving decision quality. Armed with an understanding of cognitive biases, economic experts and policymakers can tailor communication and policy design to promote rational choices. The study also identifies challenges and future directions, emphasizing the ongoing need for research and innovative strategies. In conclusion, this research sheds Light on the interplay between cognitive biases, economic communication, and decision-making, offering insights into strategies for enhancing economic well-being and promoting informed choices.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Java face significant challenges in sustaining their operations amidst digital disruption and increasing market uncertainty. In this environment, knowledge is no longer merely an informational asset but a strategic driver of efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction. However, the strategic value of knowledge cannot be fully realized without the support of high quality human resources (HR) capable of interpreting, managing, and applying it in day-to-day business activities. This study aims to examine the influence of knowledge on MSME performance, with HR quality as a mediating variable. Employing a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from 93 MSME actors in West Java. The findings reveal that both knowledge and human resource quality significantly influence MSME performance, both directly and indirectly. These results underscore that knowledge management when grounded in capable human resources is a critical strategy for driving competitiveness and sustainable growth among MSMEs in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

The implementation of the Generic Open Source Hospital Management Information System (SIMGOSV2) is essential to support effective and efficient healthcare services. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, user resistance, and staff competencies remain significant barriers. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the successful implementation of SIMGOSV2 at Ryacudu District Hospital, Kotabumi, Lampung. A quantitative survey approach was employed, involving 124 purposively selected respondents from a population of 180 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the effects of human resource competence, managerial commitment, external factors, and technology on the successful implementation of SIMGOSV2. Findings indicate that human resource competence and managerial commitment significantly affect SIMGOSV2 implementation, while external and technological factors show weaker effects. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.681 suggests that 68.1% of the variation in successful implementation is explained by the studied variables. The success of SIMGOSV2 implementation is strongly influenced by human and managerial aspects. Hospitals should strengthen training, motivation, and managerial support while evaluating system features to better enhance work productivity. This study confirms that technological factors are the strongest determinant of SIMGOSV2 implementation success in regional hospitals.

Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki hubungan antara motivasi karyawan, komitmen organisasi, dan kualitas layanan di PT. NAROTAMA SAKTI, sebuah perusahaan berorientasi layanan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada Teori Motivasi-Higiene Herzberg (1966) dan Model Komitmen Organisasi Meyer dan Allen (1997), yang menekankan bagaimana motivasi intrinsik-ekstrinsik dan komitmen afektif-normatif-kontinuitas memengaruhi persepsi kualitas layanan. Memahami hubungan ini penting untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dan kepuasan pelanggan dalam lingkungan bisnis yang kompetitif. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dengan kuesioner skala Likert (1 = Sangat Tidak Setuju hingga 5 = Sangat Setuju) yang diberikan kepada 10 responden yang dipilih secara purposif, termasuk direktur, manajer menengah, dan kepala divisi. Analisis data melibatkan statistik deskriptif, korelasi Pearson, dan regresi linier berganda untuk memeriksa hubungan variabel. Skor rata-rata menunjukkan bahwa motivasi karyawan (M = 3,78) dan komitmen (M = 4,13) relatif tinggi, sementara kualitas layanan (M = 3,82) sedang. Hasil korelasi mengungkapkan hubungan yang lemah dan negatif antara motivasi dan kualitas layanan (r = –0,472), dan antara komitmen dan kualitas layanan (r = –0,047). Analisis regresi lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa baik motivasi (β = –0,902, p = 0,192) maupun komitmen (β = –0,125, p = 0,793) tidak memengaruhi kualitas layanan secara signifikan (R² = 0,231; F = 1,052; p = 0,398). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan komitmen saja tidak menjamin kualitas layanan yang tinggi tanpa penyelarasan manajerial dan dukungan organisasi yang efektif. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kualitas layanan memerlukan strategi terpadu yang menyelaraskan motivasi dan komitmen karyawan dengan sistem kinerja, pengakuan, dan praktik kepemimpinan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan dan penggunaan Rekam Medis Elektronik (RME) terhadap kepuasan pasien di Instalasi Rawat Jalan Rumah Sakit Mitra Husada Kuningan Jawa Barat. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada pentingnya peningkatan mutu pelayanan dan transformasi digital dalam sistem pelayanan kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pasien. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif verifikatif. Sampel berjumlah 106 pasien yang dipilih menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan dan penggunaan RME berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pasien (p < 0,001). Secara simultan, kedua variabel memberikan kontribusi sebesar 54% terhadap variasi kepuasan pasien. Penggunaan RME menunjukkan kontribusi pengaruh yang lebih dominan dibandingkan kualitas pelayanan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi kualitas pelayanan dan sistem informasi kesehatan efektif menjadi faktor strategis peningkatan kepuasan pasien.

Abstract

Abstrak Diare merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang masih menjadi penyebab morbiditas pada anak di Indonesia, termasuk di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Faktor lingkungan dan perilaku memiliki peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi terjadinya diare. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh sanitasi lingkungan dan perilaku ibu terhadap kejadian diare balita di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 96 responden yang dipilih secara proportionate stratified random sampling dari 32 Puskesmas di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif berupa Metode Susesif Interval (MSI), Uji Asumsi Klasik, Analisis Jalur, Uji t, dan Uji Determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial sanitasi lingkungan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kejadian diare (p = 0,033) dengan kontribusi determinasi sebesar 4,8%. Perilaku ibu juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kejadian diare (p = 0,041) dengan kontribusi determinasi sebesar 4,4%. Secara simultan, sanitasi lingkungan dan perilaku ibu memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kejadian diare (p=0,004) dan R² = 0,114, yang berarti kedua variabel bersama-sama menjelaskan 11,4% variasi kejadian diare, sedangkan 88,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kesimpulannya, sanitasi lingkungan dan perilaku ibu berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kejadian diare pada balita, meskipun kontribusi keduanya relatif kecil. Upaya pencegahan diare perlu dilakukan melalui peningkatan kualitas sanitasi lingkungan serta edukasi perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat kepada ibu dan keluarga. This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental sanitation and mothers’ behavior on diarrhea incidence in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The study employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 96 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling from 32 primary health centers in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI), Classical Assumption Tests, Path Analysis, t-test, and Determination Test. The results showed that environmental sanitation had a significant partial effect on diarrhea incidence (p = 0.033) with a determination contribution of 4.8%. Mothers’ behavior also had a significant partial effect on diarrhea incidence (p = 0.041) with a determination contribution of 4.4%. Simultaneously, environmental sanitation and mothers’ behavior had a significant combined effect on diarrhea incidence (p= 0.004) and R² = 0.114 indicating that both variables together explained 11.4% of the variation in diarrhea incidence, while 88.6% was influenced by other factors. In conclusion, environmental sanitation and mothers’ behavior significantly affected diarrhea incidence, although their contributions were relatively small. Efforts to prevent diarrhea needed to be strengthened through improving environmental sanitation quality and providing education on clean and healthy living behaviors to mothers and families.
