Abstract

This research aimed to describe the scientific approach and authentic assessment of the textbook based Curriculum 2013, on the theme “save living beings” for grade 6 students of elementary school such as textbooks published by Puskurbuk, Yudhistira, and Erlangga. The design of this study was content analysis. The instrument of the research was the analysis sheet based on theories. The validity of the instrument and the data was semantic validity and expert judgment. The reliability of the data was stability and reproducibility. The techniques of data analyzing consisted of unitizing, sampling, recording, reducing, inferring and narrating. The results of this study were; (1) The scientific approach contents consist of five aspects: observation, questions, trying, reasoning, and communicating, which are not in order. So not all indicators in every aspect of the scientific approach are found in each sub-theme. (2) Authentic assessment contents consist of three aspects: attitude assessment about social attitude and spiritual attitude, the psychomotor assessment contains only practice, product, and project assessment, and knowledge assessment without oral and assignment assessment.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of the group investigation model on students' interest in reading (attention, positive perception, and feeling happy). Research subjects 78 semester 4 students of PGSD UST. This study uses quasi-experimental methods (quasi experiment) with the design of two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. The results showed the average reading interest of the experimental class on the pre-test 23,084 and on the post-test 26,205 so that there was influence. In the average control class the results of the 23,025 pre-test and post-test were still assumed to be 23,538, there was no increase as much as the experimental class. Based on the data it can be concluded that the group investigation model influences students' reading interest, especially positive perceptions and feelings of pleasure. Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Group Investigation  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model group investigation terhadap minat baca (perhatian, persepsi positif, dan perasaan senang) mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian 78 mahasiswa semester 4 PGSD UST. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan desain dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perolehan rata-rata minat baca kelas eksperimen pada pre-test 23.084 dan pada post-test 26.205 sehingga terdapat pengaruh. Pada kelas kontrol rata-rata hasil pre-test 23.025 dan post-test tetap diangka 23.538, tidak terdapat kenaikan sebanyak kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan data dapat disimpulkan bahwa model group investigation berpengaruh terhadap minat baca mahasiswa terutama persepsi positif dan perasaan senang.      Kata Kunci: Cooperative Learning, Group Investigation

Abstract

This research intends to develop a portfolio-based project citizen model to strengthen the social competence of educators towards society 5.0. This research design uses the Research and Development method in this research in grade IV elementary schools in SDN City, Banda Aceh, teachers, and learning experts. Information is combined with methods of monitoring, in-depth debriefing, and selection. Information analysis was tried by quantitative methods, namely descriptive and comparative. The results obtained are the acquisition of Measuring competence and the acquisition of a quality learning model The results of the expert's assessment of the quality of the Portfolio display number 3, 38 (in good type), from the quality of the form it proves the number 3.04 (in good type), on the contrary from the point of view of organizing the module the score is: stability of 2.92 (pretty good), shape of 3, 13 (good), organization of 3, 25 (good), shape and dimensions of 2, 63 (pretty good) The results of the feasibility trial (trial) on students prove the quality of proving the number 3, 28 (in good type), From the quality of form and energy, it proves that the score is 3.30 (in good category), on the contrary from the organizing part of the module, the score is: 3.22 (good). Thus, the portfolio-based Project citizen model to strengthen the social competence of educators towards society 5 is feasible to use.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the students’ critical thinking skills using time bar media in mathematics learning of Grade IIIA of SD Negeri 1 Kotagede – an elementary school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It used classroom action research design by Kemmis and McTaggart. The data were collected through observation, written tests, and interviews. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that the use of time bar media in mathematics learning could improve students' critical thinking skills. The critical thinking skills covered: (1) providing simple explanations, (2) building basic skills, (3) concluding, (4) providing further explanations, and (5) arranging strategies and tactics. The increase in students' critical thinking skills was seen based on the test results in the pre-action (43%) which increased to 80% in the first cycle and increased to 90% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Learning community is the community among students, among teachers, students and teachers which learn collaboratively in schools. It leads to the strengthening of the character values of the students because it creates caring community. In learning community, there is no rivalry in learning and no competition among the students but they are collaboratively learning and caring to each other instead. There are 3 basic principals of learning community: 1) the right to learn, where every student has special uniqueness and potential and the teachers should give opportunities for each student to learn; 2) teachers do not teach but teachers learn; 3) education is for public, the class should be opened for public to observe. Those three basic principles become the basis in conducting school reform. School reform here means how schools build learning community where students and teachers learn to each other to create quality education, equality, and social harmony as the educational paradigm in 21st century.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a way that puts forward critical and creative values ​​so that it is seen as being able to provide solutions in facing the times. The method used is descriptive to describe HOTS-based learning and assessment. The purpose of this activity is to improve the ability of elementary school (SD) teachers in designing HOTS-based learning tools consisting of lesson plans and HOTS-based assessments. This activity is motivated by the skills faced by elementary school teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, especially in designing and implementing HOTS-based learning, as well as developing HOTS-based assessments. Therefore, this activity aims to make teachers become professionals in educating elementary students in developing children's thinking skills at a higher level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPS Mahasiswa PGSD dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan MC. Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa PGSD kelas 2A dengan jumlah 46 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang dianalisis dengan deskriptif kuantitatif. Keberhasilan penelitian ini dapat ditunjukkan melalui hasil tes siklus I menunjukkan persentase sebesar 75,3% pada indikator menafsirkan, dan persentase sebesar 81,7% pada indikator menjelaskan. Kemudian setelah dikenai tindakan siklus II diperoleh persentase sebesar 78% pada indikator menafsirkan dan persentase sebesar 76,9% pada indikator menjelaskan. Pada siklus III terjadi peningkatan persentase sebesar 95,3% pada indikator menafsirkan, dan persentase sebesar 85,1% pada indikator menjelaskan. Dengan melihat hasil yang diperoleh pada setiap siklusnya, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching dapat dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPS pada mahasiswa PGSD. Harapannya mahasiswa PGSD akan menjadi calon guru yang lebih kompeten dalam segi pengetahuan ilmu sosial. Melalui model pembelajaran ini, dapat memperkaya wawasan dosen dalam merencanakan suatu inovasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam keterampilan menulis dengan menggunakan model Think Talk Write. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Hasil aktivitas siswa pada siklus I mendapatkan jumlah rata-rata skor 19 dengan kategori cukup. Pencapaian skor tersebut belum optimal karena belum ada siswa yang mencapai skor 4. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan jumlah rata-rata skor menjadi 28 dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, terdapat peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam keterampilan menulis dengan menggunakan model Think Talk Write.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an instructional material to improve students' creative thinking and friendliness. This study was developmental research applying the R&D model of Borg & Gall. The subjects were 124 fourth grade students in Yogyakarta Special Region, Gunungkidul. The data collected through interviews, tests, observations, and questionnaires. The appropriateness of the sainsmatika-based fairy tale book was ana- lyzed qualitatively and the effectiveness of it analyzed using a one-way MANOVA test at the significance level of 5%. The findings were as follows: (1) the appropriateness of the sainsmatika-based story tale book gets good category scores for the mathematical content aspect and very good category scores for the science content, media and lan- guage aspect also get very good category score from student-teacher responses. (2) The score of the effectiveness test using one-way MANOVA is 0,000<0.05. Therefore, sainsmatika-based story tale book is able to improve students' creative thinking skills and friendliness.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam memproduski media pembelajaran literasi untuk SD kelas awal (I, II, dan III). Pelatihan dilakukan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah pengkajian dasar teori pengembangan media. Tahap ini berisi diskusi tentang pilihan media, alasan pemilihan media tertentu, kelebihan dan kekurangan media, landasan pengembangan media, dan cara pembuatan media. Sedangkan tahap kedua ialah pembuatan dan persentasi media oleh peserta. Tahap ini berisi proses pembuatan media oleh partisipan, kemudian presentasi produk media. Termasuk di dalam persentasi adalah contoh penggunaan media, alasan pembuatan media tersebut, dan kelengkapan media (pedoman, hak cipta, muatan materi, dan sebagainya). Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan partisipan dalam membuat media pembelajaran literasi kelas awal. Pengetahuan mengenai media pembelajaran, menurut hasil analisis data pre test dan post test, meningkat sebesar 20,33%. Hasil unjuk kerja juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan dalam pembuatan dan pemanfaatan media literasi untuk kelas awal. Hasil analisis data wawancara juga mengungkapkan bahwa kebutuhan media pembelajaran literasi menjadi mudah terpenuhi karena partipisan kini mempunyai referensi media pembelajaran literasi yang lebih memadai.
