Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila Sekolah Dasar pada kurikulum merdeka belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara, angket, dan lembar observasi dengan informan terdiri dari Kepala sekolah, Koordinator P5, Guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan guru kelas yang menerapkan kurikulum Merdeka dan 6 peserta didik kelas V. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa implementasi aktivitas proyek ini, siswa mempunyai peluang buat menekuni tema- tema ataupun isu- isu sehingga siswa bisa melaksanakan aksi nyata dalam menanggapi isu- isu tersebut cocok dengan sesi belajar serta kebutuhannya. Tema yang sudah diseleksi buat satu tahun ajaran diresmikan oleh satuan pembelajaran dengan mengaitkan guru, orang tua, siswa, serta warga yang terletak di area sekolah. Tema yang diambil yakni Kreasi Bahan Pangan Lokal berupa buah pisang.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how teachers diagnose to determine students’ learning difficulties, especially in Mathematics in Elementary Schools. There are four aspects discussed in this study, including the teachers’ perception of students’ learning difficulties, teachers’ practice in connection with diagnosing students’ learning difficulties, teachers’ actions in response to the results of the diagnosis, parties involved regarding students’ learning difficulties. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with 13 teachers as the subject selected by purposive sampling. The data were obtained through interviews with classroom teachers, both from private and public schools, especially in North Borneo. The findings in this study show that the teachers use various ways to diagnose and overcome students’ learning difficulties. There are 3 ways that teachers do to diagnose learning difficulties in Mathematics, including tests, observations and interviews. While the ways to overcome them are to do remedial, provide tutoring individually, provide additional hours for students who have learning difficulties in Mathematics and involve students in learning. The method used has been effective, proofed by changes in students’ understanding and improvement in students’ learning outcomes. This study offers elementary school teachers ways that can be carried out to diagnose and overcome students’ learning difficulties in Mathematics. DOI: https://doi.org/10.22342/jpm.15.1.10564.23-36

Abstract

Students benefit from writing poetry because they can express their feelings at the time through beautiful words in the form of poetry. Writing poetry in learning can be packaged using learning media. Learning media is extremely beneficial to the learning process. Students will understand the material provided by the teacher more easily if they use learning media. Therefore, this research aims to produce the learning media product "Word Bank" to improve the ability to write poetry in fourth grade elementary school. This study applied the Hannafin and Peck model of Research and Development. In this study, 15 students of IV grade were used as research subjects. Observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation were used as research instruments. Interactive analysis techniques and presentations were used in data analysis techniques. According to the research findings, “Word Bank” learning media has a “very high” feasibility level. The results of the initial trial, which was conducted on 5 students, were classified as “very high” based on the acquisition of the two scores obtained. Students’ pretest and post-test scores in the experimental class showed a t-count of -8.817 with df 18 and Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000. Thus, the results of the t-test for the pretest and post-test values of the experimental class show that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 (5%). Can be concluded that there is a significant difference in ability wrote poetry.

Abstract

The application of the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recall/Recite, and Review) and Speed Reading methods is important to improve students' learning motivation and reading comprehension ability, which are essential basic skills in supporting successful learning in primary education. This study aims to determine: (1) the difference in the effect of SQ3R and Speed Reading method on learning motivation and reading comprehension ability. the difference in the effect of SQ3R method and Speed Reading method on learning motivation, and (2) the difference in the effect of SQ3R and Speed Reading method on reading comprehension ability. The research method was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest experiment. The research sample was purposive sampling technique of 96 fourth grade students. Data collection techniques and instruments are questionnaires and description test questions. Data analysis techniques using Manova test.  The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a difference in the positive and significant effect of SQ3R method and Speed Reading method on learning motivation with a Sig value. 0.001 <0.05, and (2) there is a difference in the positive and significant effect of SQ3R method and Speed Reading method on reading comprehension ability with a Sig value. 0,001 < 0,05. The difference in the effect of SQ3R method and Speed Reading method on students' learning motivation and reading comprehension ability. The conclusion is that the SQ3R method is more effective for increasing learning motivation.

Abstract

Reading is very important to support academic achievement, but based on the observation results, the reading interest of grade 1 students is still low. A new, special strategy is needed that can help students improve their literacy and early reading skills. Therefore this study aims to analyze the strategy of implementing read aloud relay in building students' reading interest. This study is a qualitative study with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and documentation conducted on 27 grade 1A students at elementary school. The data obtained were then analyzed according to Miles and Hubberman. The results of the study showed that read aloud relay applied during literacy hours and certain lesson hours can increase students' reading interest. In addition to developing reading interest through this strategy, it can also develop students' speaking and listening skills so that students understand what they are reading better. Therefore, read aloud relay can improve the literacy of grade 1 elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the difference in critical thinking skills between students taught using problem-based learning and expository learning, and (2) the influence of implementing problem-based learning on students' critical thinking skills. This study was quasi-experimental research. The study population consisted only of fifth-grade students from SD Negeri 2 Krikilan. In the experimental group, the learning process took place using the problem-based learning model, while in the control group, it took place in an expository manner. The instruments used were tests that measure students' critical thinking abilities in cognitive aspects and a behavioral scale that measures students' critical thinking abilities in behavioral aspects. The data were then analyzed using: (1) descriptive statistics to describe critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, and (2) inferential statistics using independent sample t-tests and MANOVA to test the research hypotheses at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05). The research findings indicate that: (1) there is a significant difference in students' critical thinking skills between the group taught using problem-based learning and the group taught using expository learning, with a p-value of 0.004, and (2) the implementation of problem-based learning positively and significantly influences students' critical thinking skills, with a significance value of 0.005.

Abstract

Pembelajaran media memainkan peran penting dalam mengisi interaksi antara guru dan siswa, terutama ketika meningkatkan konsep yang kompleks. Salah satu inovasi yang dapat digunakan adalah media pembelajaran digital seperti Augmented Reality (AR), yang memberikan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan menarik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan menganalisis efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis AR dalam meningkatkan keterampilan matematika pada siswa sekolah dasar, terutama dalam materi geometris. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah model 3D yang mewakili perubahan model 4D (definisi, desain, pengembangan, distribusi). Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis AR sangat cocok untuk belajar pada tingkat kelayakan 91%. Selain itu, efektivitas media ini telah terbukti sangat baik ketika meningkatkan pemahaman matematika kelas IV dengan skor rata -rata 89,70%. Hasil evaluasi untuk tujuh kelas juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dengan rata -rata 83. Oleh karena itu, media pembelajaran berbasis AR adalah alternatif inovatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematika di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar

Abstract

This study aims to improve the students’ critical thinking skills using time bar media in mathematics learning of Grade IIIA of SD Negeri 1 Kotagede – an elementary school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It used classroom action research design by Kemmis and McTaggart. The data were collected through observation, written tests, and interviews. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that the use of time bar media in mathematics learning could improve students' critical thinking skills. The critical thinking skills covered: (1) providing simple explanations, (2) building basic skills, (3) concluding, (4) providing further explanations, and (5) arranging strategies and tactics. The increase in students' critical thinking skills was seen based on the test results in the pre-action (43%) which increased to 80% in the first cycle and increased to 90% in the second cycle.

Abstract

One of the most important characters and must be implemented by students is the character of social care. The teacher has a very important role in impntation of characters in schools. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in the implementation of social care character education in elementary schools. This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological type. The researchers conducted interviews and gave questionnaires to 32 primary teachers in South Sumatra Province. The results of this study indicated that the teacher instills a social care character in the classroom by integrating social care character into learning materials and becoming good role models for students. Teachers also give punishment and rewards in order to encourage and discipline students. Teachers and schools have also carried out various activities to instill social care in students. It has also received support from many parents of students. To make social caring character education run optimally, several ways can do by the teacher is that the lesson plan that is made must be considered and by the elements of education, making study contracts and further increasing parental participation in students' social activities. Abstract

The article aims to uncover security risks that may occur during online learning, as well as preventive measures that can be taken to avoid these threats. This study uses a combination of two methods, namely, web mining and literature review. From the results of web mining, it is found that the website articles have not provided much explanation about efforts to protect against threats on the internet, from the results of the literature review the researchers revealed that several threats that can occur on the internet, namely phishing, scamming, fraud, cyberbullying, viruses, privacy and personal data issues, and obscene or pornographic content. This study also provides three important steps in protecting children from internet threats during online learning, including assistance in accessing internet content, education about internet safety and personal data protection, as well as an introduction to Digital Citizenship and ethics in cyberspace.
