Abstract

Self-Nano-Emulsifying Drug Delivery System (SNEDDS)/ZnxFe3-xO4 has been successfully formulated through the synthesis of ZnxFe3-xO4 by the coprecipitation method and SNEDDS/ZnxFe3-xO4 by the sonication method. This study is focused on the effect of Zn doping on the crystal structure and antioxidant performance of ZnxFe3-xO4 nanoparticles. ZnxFe3-xO4 samples were characterized using FTIR and XRD to determine the functional groups and structure of the sample, respectively. SNEDDS/ZnxFe3-xO4 samples were characterized using FTIR and Antioxidants with the DPPH method to determine the functional groups and antioxidants in the sample, respectively. The FTIR characterization results of the ZnxFe3-xO4 sample showed the emergence of Zn-O and Fe-O functional groups in the wave number range of 825-869 cm-1 and 560-594 cm-1, respectively. This indicates that Zn2+ doping was successfully synthesized and shifted the Fe3+ ion. The IR spectrum also shows that the higher the concentration of Zn2+ ions, the more significant the change in absorption intensity, indicating that more molecules absorb light at wave numbers of 825-869 cm-1. The XRD characterization results show that the ZnxFe3-xO4 nanoparticle structure is an inverse cubic spinel occupying the Fd3m crystal group. Based on the analysis of XRD data, the higher the concentration of Zn2+ doping, the smaller the size of the ZnxFe3-xO4 nanoparticles produced. The diffraction peak of the sample on the 311 plane shifts towards a smaller angle due to the effectiveness of Zn2+ ion doping, shifting the Fe3+ ion because the radius of the Zn2+ ion is larger than the Fe3+ one. The antioxidant performance analysis of SNEDDS/ZnxFe3-xO4 showed inhibition potential ranging from 11% to 15%, increasing with higher Zn²⁺ concentrations.

Abstract

Background of the problem: Territorial disputes between subnational entities in Indonesia often occur without adequate public scrutiny, revealing gaps in understanding how such conflicts are symbolically constructed and mediated through digital media narratives. Purpose: This research investigates how media narratives shape power relations and construct regional conflicts discursively and ideologically through symbolic framing. Method: Using Pan and Kosicki’s framing analysis and Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine 50 online news articles related to the island dispute between Aceh and North Sumatra. The study was conducted through text review, keyword frequency mapping, and actor-network visualization to explore the narrative structure and power relations in media discourse. Result: The research revealed that digital media coverage formed a centralized and hierarchical narrative by positioning state elites such as the President, Minister of Home Affairs, and national political figures as the leading actors in conflict resolution. Conflicts are framed in administrative and legalistic terms, thus obscuring the cultural-historical context and marginalizing the agency of local actors. This discourse pattern reproduces symbolic marginalization and reinforces power imbalances between the central and regional levels. Implication: The findings provide practical insights for media practitioners and policymakers to be aware of the ideological function of framing in conflict coverage and theoretical contributions to media and communication studies by showing how discourse structures reinforce state-centric narratives and marginalize subnational identities. The findings open space for further research on symbolic power in digital news.

Abstract

One of the main problems in language acquisition is the grammatical mastery of either nahwu or sharaf, as has happened in several cases, both in formal and non-formal educational institutions. The purpose of this paper was to find language errors in the students' thesis of Arabic Language Education Study Program which was prepared by using Arabic in UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto. Content analysis and language error analysis based on Language Theory was used in this research that lied by Miles and Huberman. The study found that there were several forms of language errors in the morphology and syntax. Morphology is an error in grammatical arrangement. There were structure of idafiyah or compound words errors in 9 titles or 50%. Afterwards, Na’atman'ut and hal were found in 3 titles or 20%. Meanwhile, the semantics errors found that related to the use of standard words in 6 titles or 30% and the rest was related to inaccurate word choice or diction. Syntax errors in Arabic writing are very common. It has implications for several things, such as professionalism or the ability to master one form of expertise in Arabic other than qira'ah or kitabah.

Abstract

Environmental degradation, including deforestation, wildlife extinction, and ecological disasters, constitutes a serious issue that necessitates interdisciplinary attention. This study examines ecological criticism represented in the traditional Bima song “Nggahi Rawi Pahu” by Cucu Malingi through the lens of ecocriticism and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The analytical framework combines Greg Garrard’s ecocritical concepts (apocalypse, pollution, and animals) with Teun A. van Dijk’s AWK model (text structure, social cognition, and sociocultural context) to investigate the song lyrics as a medium of critique against environmental exploitation. The findings indicate that the lyrics construct a narrative of ecological damage through the use of symbolism, repetition, and metaphor, which illustrate deforestation, the extinction of wildlife, and flooding as direct consequences of human activity. Furthermore, the discourse strategies employed in the text foster collective ecological awareness and ideological resistance to environmental destruction by grounding the message in local cultural knowledge. This study highlights the role of traditional songs not merely as cultural expressions, but also as vehicles for ecological critique and public consciousness-raising.Keywords: Ecological Criticism, Critical Discourse Analysis, Traditional Song, Bima, Environmental Degradation AbstrakKerusakan lingkungan seperti deforestasi, kepunahan satwa, dan bencana ekologis menjadi persoalan yang memerlukan perhatian lintas disiplin.

Abstract

Music plays a key role in shaping culture, reflecting societal norms, and serving as a tool for critique. This study examines how Sit Still, Look Pretty by Daya challenges traditional gender roles using Derrida’s deconstruction theory, which questions binary oppositions and redefines female autonomy. By analyzing the song’s lyrics and themes, this research explores how popular music can dismantle patriarchal norms and provide a more inclusive understanding of gender and identity. Using a qualitative approach and Derrida’s concepts of différance and binary opposition, the study reveals how the song critiques societal expectations that prioritize women’s physical appearance and passive roles, while emphasizing ambition and independence. Key findings include themes such as: 1) women and appearances, 2) women and identity, 3) women and self-sufficiency, 4) women and materialism, 5) women and control, 6) women and ambition, 7) women and gender expectations, and 8) patriarchy. The song goes beyond rejecting traditional norms; it reconstructs a framework of female identity centered on agency and empowerment. By destabilizing binary oppositions like active/passive and dominant/submissive, the song challenges listeners to engage with entrenched societal values critically. It highlights the importance of breaking free from patriarchal systems that perpetuate gender inequality and reimagines a world where women can define their roles and ambitions without societal constraints. This analysis demonstrates the potential of popular music as a transformative tool for deconstructing oppressive ideologies and fostering more inclusive identities.

Abstract

Education in pesantren is structurally dynamic, both as a medium and as a result of the daily interactions between kiai and santri. However, this duality of structure is rarely studied in depth, giving the impression that education in pesantren is merely a finished product. This research is intended to describe the development of pesantren education in the dual social change perspective of Anthony Giddens. This research uses a qualitative approach to the literature review type, which is complemented by field research. Data was obtained using documentation and observation techniques and analyzed qualitatively. The results of the research show that education at the Bahrul Ulum Pesantren is experiencing very dynamic and complex developments. Formal education units have developed in a highly diverse manner. Likewise, pesantren units, as non-formal institutions and as places for students to live, are growing increasingly complex. This development combines preservation efforts with promoting social change. In line with Anthony Giddens' perspective, this development occurred because of the duality between the creativity of the kiai and the bunyai, as agents, and the needs and development of society, as the structure. However, this study also found something different. The existence of the pesantren as a kind of holding institution means that kiai and bunyai are not merely individual agents but are always connected to other agents interactively in determining the development of their education.
