Abstract

English is a required course during the first and second semesters learning in Vocational Higher Education in Indonesia. Recognizing the importance of future career demands, presentation skills are incorporated into the Semester Learning Plans as English for Specific Purposes. This research focuses on students' perspectives regarding English learning through presentations regarding their own field particularly the implementation of peer scoring. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involved first-semester students at Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin. One hundred and fifteen students of Banjarmasin State Polytechnic, Indonesia majoring in Mining Engineering (19 students), Civil Engineering (35 students) and Accounting (61 students) responded to a questionnaire, and ten students were interviewed, serving as voluntarily participants. Data collection method included a questionnaire administered via Google Form and interviews for triangulation. Students filled in the questionnaire after scoring their peer’s presentation. In scoring their peers, they used a presentation scoring rubric. Findings indicate a generally positive perception among students towards peer scoring presentations. Despite experiencing anxiety during preparation and delivery of presentation, students expressed high motivation and found the presentation experience rewarding as the scores not only from the lecturer but also from their peers. They worried to score at the beginning, but the scoring rubric help them guide along the process. Some students who commonly do not pay attention to the presenters in the presentation are now fully paying attention because they are in charge to score. Overall, students viewed presentation projects favorably, highlighting their potential to improve speaking performance and be a rater on their peers’ performance. The implication of this research is to highlight students’ ability to deliver a presentation as well as build their confidence in speaking activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income Ratio (BOPO) on Return On Assets (ROA) at Bank Jatim during the period of 2019-2023. This research employs a quantitative method and secondary data obtained from Bank Jatim's financial statements. The results indicate that partially, CAR (0.418), LDR (0.891), and BOPO (0.224) do not have a significant effect on ROA. The F-test also demonstrates that CAR, LDR, and BOPO simultaneously do not significantly affect ROA, with a significance value of 0.080. Therefore, it can be concluded that changes in CAR, LDR, and BOPO do not have a significant impact on changes in ROA at Bank Jatim during the research period.

One of the modern marketing strategies that is starting to Lots used is utilization of digital influencers, namely individuals who have influence big on social media and capable influence opinion public. Research this aiming for know how far can a digital influencer strategy go? increase image of Savoy Homann Hotel in Bandung City. Research this done with method studies library, using approach descriptive qualitative. Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between work culture, leadership style, work motivation, and work discipline on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 and SMP Negeri 6 Kotabaru using a mixed-method approach. Quantitative analysis results show that work culture and work discipline do not have a significant effect on teacher performance, with p-values of 0.235 and 0.225, respectively. In contrast, leadership style and work motivation have significant effects, with p-values of 0.007 and 0.000, respectively. Qualitative analysis indicates that while work culture and work discipline do not have a direct impact, they remain important in supporting teacher performance. The simultaneous hypothesis suggests that all variables collectively influence teacher performance, although individual contributions from work culture and work discipline are not significant. This research provides insights for the development of more effective educational policies.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the financial reporting skills of the management of BUMDes Cemerlang in Plerean Village in accordance with SAK EMKM standards. The issues faced include a lack of understanding of accounting principles and limited use of digital technology. Through an Excel-based application approach, the service team conducted a series of activities including socialization, training, and direct assistance. The application used was tailored to the needs of BUMDes to simplify transaction recording and financial report preparation. The results showed improved understanding and skills among the management in more effective, efficient, and accountable financial management. Final evaluations indicated that the management found the application helpful in minimizing errors and accelerating the financial reporting process.

Abstract

Bahan ajar BIPA yang relevan dengan kehidupan mahasiswa asing merupakan kesempatan untuk memperkenalkan lingkungan lahan basah kepada mahasiswa asing yang berkuliah di Kalimantan Selatan. Salah satu tujuan dari integrasi lahan basah ini yaitu untuk mengoptimalisasikan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia karena pembelajaran yang diberikan merupakan pembelajaran kontekstual. Pentingnya mengetahui persepsi pengguna suatu bahan ajar merupakan salah satu bagian dari pengembangan dan evaluasi sebuah bahan ajar. Sehingga, penelitian ini berupaya menjawab tiga rumusan masalah yang berfokus pada optimalisasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi mahasiswa asing yaitu 1. bagaimana pentingnya keberadaan bahan ajar BIPA dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi mahasiswa asing dan pengajar BIPA, 2. bagaimana sebuah bahan ajar yang ideal bagi mahasiswa asing dan pengajar BIPA, dan 3. bagaimana integrasi bahan ajar BIPA dengan lingkungan lahan basah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan populasi seluruh mahasiswa asing pada Universitas Lambung Mangkurat dan seluruh pengajar BIPA, sedangkan partisipan pada penelitian yaitu sembilan (9) mahasiswa asing pada Universitas Lambung Mangkurat dan lima (5) pengajar BIPA di Kalimantan Selatan yang bersedia untuk menjawab angket berisi 12 pertanyaan yang diberikan melalui Google Forms dan bersedia diwawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama ketersediaan bahan ajar merupakan komponen yang diperlukan dalam pembelajaran. Kedua, bahan ajar BIPA berbasis lingkungan lahan basah ini memuat teks bahan ajar yang relevan yang berkaitan dengan kebahasaan dan pemakaian Bahasa Indonesia secara kontekstual dan nyata. Ketiga, pengemasan bahan ajar tentang kehidupan di Banjarmasin dengan menggunakan basis lingkungan lahan basah merupakan kolaborasi yang sangat tepat sebagai bentuk sumbangsih pendidikan terhadap keberlangsungan lingkungan dengan konsentrasi lahan basah.

Abstract

Introduction: The hard tissue of the teeth is resistant to heat and acid,  so that the teeth have an important role as a material consideration of forensic dentistry. The humans have the same shape of the teeth around one in two billion. The stimuli of burn with high temperature and sour can be change the picture of macroscopic and microscopic tooth. This is the subject of an interesting comparison in the interests of justice and identification of dentistry. Methods: This research was a quasi experiment to know a change of microscopic teeth on the hard cases tooth-burning and the case hard acid treatment. The sample used were seven teeth, with details of one normal as a comparison, three teeth burned and three teeth soaked in a solution of water of accu. Observations were made using the microscope at 40x enlarged on each tooth. The tooth was documented by means of a photographed and compared with healthy teeth. Results: The results of this study was obtained by observing and comparing the microscopic structure and the obtained differences in the teeth and treated with the picture of normal teeth. Conclusion: Conclusion of this research is on the tooth are burned was visible loss of enamel at the cement-enamel junction as a result of the process of carbonization heat exposure so as to cause a breach of micro on the outer layer of the tooth enamel and thinning of dentin tubules, while the teeth are in the soak water accu (strong acid) seen change in color of enamel, micro cracks due to defective enamel and depletion of tubulus dentine and loss of boundary between the cementum and dentine.

Abstract

This research is based on the low activity of children and critical thinking skills in the cognitive aspect of knowing the concepts of many and little. The solution to solve this problem is to use the MERAK model which is a combination of the problem based learning, make a match, and badaku media model. The purpose of this study is to analyze teacher activities, children's activities, children's critical thinking skills, and the results of cognitive development in knowing the concepts of many and little. The approach used is a qualitative approach and a type of Class Action Research (CAR) with 4 meetings. Data analysis showed that teachers' activities reached a percentage of 97% with the criterion of "Excellent". Children's activities reached a percentage of 97% with the criterion of "All Active Children". In critical thinking skills, the percentage reached 90% with the criterion of "Almost All Skilled Children". And the results of the achievement of cognitive development reached a percentage of 91% of children who managed to develop with the category "Almost All Children Develop". Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the MERAK Model can improve teacher activities, children's activities, critical thinking skills and children's cognitive development outcomes. So this research can be a learning innovation in the selection of the right model and media to improve the ability to know the concepts of many and little. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas anak dan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada aspek kognitif dalam mengetahui konsep banyak dan sedikit. Solusi pemecahan masalah ini yaitu dengan menggunakan model MERAK yang merupakan kombinasi dari model problem based learning, make a match, dan media badaku. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis aktivitas guru, aktivitas anak, keterampilan berpikir kritis anak, serta hasil perkembangan kognitif dalam mengetahui konsep banyak dan sedikit. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 4 kali pertemuan. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru mencapai persentase 97% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Aktivitas anak mencapai persentase 97% dengan kriteria “Seluruh Anak Aktif”. Pada keterampilan berpikir kritis  mencapai persentase 90% dengan kriteria “Hampir Seluruh Anak Terampil”. Dan hasil capaian perkembangan aspek kognitif mencapai persentase 91% anak berhasil berkembang dengan kategori “Hampir Seluruh Anak Berkembang”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model MERAK dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas anak, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil perkembangan kognitif anak. Maka penelitian ini dapat menjadi inovasi pembelajaran dalam pemilihan model serta media yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengetahui konsep banyak dan sedikit.

Abstract

This research raises the problem motivated by low child activity and children's language development in repeating more complex sentences. This happens because the media used by teachers is less varied, learning is less meaningful and learning is one-way. This study aims to describe teacher activities, children's activities and the results of children's language development in repeating more complex sentences. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a type of classroom action research (CAR) with 4 meetings. The research setting was in group B children of Islamic Bakti 1 Kindergarten Banjarmasin, which amounted to 18 children. This study collected data through interviews, observation and documentation, data analysis using qualitative descriptive techniques and descriptive tables and graphs. The results showed that teachers' activities obtained the category of "Very Good", children's activities obtained the category "Almost all children are active" and the results of children's language development in repeating more complex sentences obtained the category "Almost all children are developing". Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the BENGKENG model can improve teacher activities, children's activities and children's language development outcomes. It is hoped that teachers, school principals and future researchers can be input and information material to choose learning models, methods and media. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan yang dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas anak dan perkembangan bahasa anak dalam mengulang kalimat yang lebih kompleks. Hal ini terjadi karena media yang digunakan oleh guru kurang bervariasi, pembelajaran kurang bermakna dan pembelajaran yang bersifat satu arah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru, aktivitas anak dan hasil perkembangan bahasa anak dalam mengulang kalimat yang lebih kompleks. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan 4 kali pertemuan. Setting penelitian pada anak kelompok B TK Islam Bakti 1 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 18 orang anak. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru memperoleh kategori “Sangat baik”, aktivitas anak memperoleh kategori “Hampir seluruh anak aktif” dan hasil perkembangan bahasa anak dalam mengulang kalimat yang lebih kompleks memperoleh kategori “Hampir seluruh anak berkembang”. Berdasarkan temuan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model BENGKENG dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas anak dan hasil perkembangan bahasa anak. Diharapkan bagi guru, kepala sekolah dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat menjadi bahan masukan dan informasi untuk memilih model, metode dan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya komunikasi guru dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini berdasarkan kajian literatur dari berbagai sumber ilmiah. Komunikasi menjadi aspek penting dalam menciptakan interaksi belajar yang menyenangkan dan bermakna bagi anak pada usia emas (golden age). Melalui metode studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini mengkaji sepuluh artikel ilmiah yang relevan, yang membahas pola, jenis, dan strategi komunikasi yang digunakan guru PAUD. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa gaya komunikasi yang hangat, empatik, dan interaktif, serta didukung oleh penggunaan bahasa nonverbal yang positif, merupakan gaya yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan partisipasi dan keterlibatan anak dalam pembelajaran. Pola komunikasi dua arah terbukti lebih mendukung keaktifan anak dibanding pola satu arah yang bersifat dominan. Selain itu, penggunaan teknik seperti bercerita, bermain peran, dan penggunaan media visual juga membantu anak memahami pesan pembelajaran secara menyenangkan.
