Abstract

Deep learning-based learning is an approach that emphasizes in-depth understanding, interrelation between concepts, and critical and reflective thinking skills in the learning process. This approach is in line with the spirit of an independent curriculum that encourages meaningful and student-centered learning. The presence of learning tools that are systematically designed and based on deep learning approaches in the learning process can increase student engagement and understanding in depth. The use of appropriate learning tools not only helps teachers in delivering material effectively, but also encourages students to think critically, reflectively, and actively engage in the learning process. This Workshop is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the concept of deep learning-based learning, which is a learning model that not only focuses on basic knowledge aspects, but also encourages learners to analyze, evaluate, create, and reflect on contextual learning. The method used in this community service project was implemented in Pekanbaru City, involving 50 history teachers who are members of the History MGMP. The community service activity was divided into three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The materials presented include: concepts and basic principles of Deep Learning in basic education, strategies to design learning outcomes that encourage deep thinking, the preparation of teaching modules that integrate the values of Pancasila student profiles, and the practice of preparing lesson plans and formative assessments based on deep learning.

Abstract

This descriptive research aims to analyze: (1) the availability and utilization of Information System at Public Elementary School in Pekanbaru - Riau and (2) principals’ leadership at Public Elementary School in Pekanbaru - Riau. By using proportional random sampling technique, 66 school principals spread across 12 sub-districts in Pekanbaru - Riau were selected as the sample. The instrument used was a questionnaire addressed to the principals. The principals are asked to give their answers to the given questionnaire and they were free to choose one or more answers for each item based their situation and condition. The data needed are related to the principals’ view of the availability and utilization of the Information System at the school they lead and the data about the principals’ view of leadership carried out related to the functions and roles they have done. The results of the data analysis prove that: (1) the availability of Information System at school was rated positively by the principals, whether in terms of availability, management, or perceived benefits; and (2) in carrying out leadership, their roles and functions as supervisors, managers and educators occupied the highest position.

Abstract

This research examines the existence of the Museum Rumah Gadang Mande Rubiah as a marker of local identity for the community in Lunang Subdistrict, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra, from 1980 to 2023. The study has three main objectives: (1) to understand the existence of Mande Rubiah of the seventh generation and the Museum Rumah Gadang Mande Rubiah during the period 1980–2023; (2) to analyze the role of the museum’s development in shaping the cultural identity of the local community; and (3) to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the museum’s sustainability. This research employs a historical method consisting of four stages: Heuristics, Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. The findings reveal that the Museum Rumah Gadang Mande Rubiah represents the enduring strength of Minangkabau culture within Nagari Lunang. Originally guarded as a sacred and relatively concealed heritage site, the building has evolved into an educational and tourism center since its inauguration in 1980. Its unique and spiritually significant collections, including the Garuda bird egg and several ancestral graves, reinforce its status as an important cultural and religious site. The figure of Mande Rubiah VII continues to hold influence as a spiritual leader and customary decision-maker, despite lacking formal governmental authority. While the museum faces constraints such as limited funding and inadequate facilities, its development has been supported by strong community involvement and assistance from local government. As a cultural hub that drives customary, religious, and economic life, the museum demonstrates that ancestral heritage can coexist with modern development. In recognition of its significance, the museum has been registered as a Cultural Heritage Site under the Minister of Culture and Tourism Regulation Number PM.86/PW.007/MKP/2011.

Abstract

History learning in schools often faces the challenge of low student interest due to the perception that the subject matter is monotonous. This issue is consistent with initial observations at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, which revealed low student engagement during the learning process, minimal attention, and limited student participation. The use of information technology can serve as a potential solution, one of which is through the development of an e-library as a digital learning medium. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of an e-library in increasing students' interest in learning history at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. The research employed a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving a sample of 39 students. The instrument used was a learning interest questionnaire administered before and after students used the elibrary. The findings indicate an increase in students' interest in learning from the pre-cycle to Cycle II. In the pre-cycle, the average percentage of learning interest was at a low level (40% high interest). Following the e-library intervention in Cycle I, the percentage of interest indicators rose to 55%, and further increased to 70% in Cycle II. These findings suggest that the use of the e-library is effective in fostering students' interest in learning history, aligning with previous studies that emphasize digital libraries as valuable tools to enhance access to learning materials and significantly improve students’ reading interest.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the learning interest of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Bintan Utara through the implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media in History learning. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were Grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Bintan Utara. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities and student learning interest questionnaires. The results showed that teacher activity increased from 75% in Cycle I to 90% in Cycle II, student activity increased from 78% to 92%, and students’ learning interest significantly improved, as indicated by an increase in the average percentage of learning interest from 74% in Cycle I to 86% in Cycle II, exceeding the predetermined success indicators. Therefore, the Make a Match cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media was proven to be effective in increasing students’ learning interest in History learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ interest in learning history through the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model assisted by Mystery Card Box media in Grade X of SMA IT Bangkinang. This research is motivated by the low level of students’ learning interest, which is indicated by a lack of attention, low participation, and the perception that history is a monotonous subject. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kurt Lewin model, consisting of two cycles that included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were Grade X students of SMA IT Bangkinang. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities and a learning interest questionnaire. The results showed an improvement in the learning process and students’ interest after the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray model assisted by the Mystery Card Box media. The average percentage of students’ learning interest in Cycle I was 47%, categorized as low, and increased to 55% in Cycle II, categorized as moderate. This improvement indicates a positive change in students’ engagement and motivation during history learning activities. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model assisted by Mystery Card Box media is effective in increasing students’ interest in learning history in Grade X of SMA IT Bangkinang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of the application of the scramble model and smart box media on the history learning outcomes of class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental study (quasi-experimental) with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample used was class XI IPS 2 students as the experimental class and class XI IPS 1 students as the control class. The results of the t-test analysis obtained a sig value of 0.001 > 0.05, so Ha is accepted, namely there is an effect of the application of the scramble learning model assisted by smartbox media on the history learning outcomes of class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru. The results of the N-Gain test analysis obtained an N-Gain Score of 0.5870 and an N-Gain Percent of 58.69%, which means that the application of the scramble learning model assisted by smartbox media has moderate effectiveness and is quite effective in improving the history learning outcomes of class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF ANDROID-BASED RIAU PROVINCIAL WARRIOR FIGURE E-MODULE AS A DIGITAL LEARNING RESOURCE FOR LOCAL HISTORY. Traditionally, teachers have often developed teaching materials using conventional module approaches. Conventional modules are teaching materials presented in print format, which are frequentlyunappealing and inflexible, leading to a lack of interest from students. Therefore, E-Modules development is highly suitable because they offer numerous benefits, particularly regarding accessibility. This research aims to develop an Android-based E-Module about the heroic figures from Riau Province. The objectives of this design are (1) to create an E-Module that is easily accessible anytime and anywhereand (2) to introduce heroic figures and local history of Riau Province through an Android-based technological approach. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method to design and evaluate the effectiveness of the developed product. The development model used is the 4D (Four D) model, which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. This research indicatesthat the designed E-Module meets adequacy standards and can be used as a learning media. Additionally, student feedback on the E-Module has been very positive. Selama ini guru sering mengembangkan bahan ajar dengan pendekatan modul konvensional. Modul konvensional adalah bahan ajar yang disampaikan dalam format cetak yang seringkali tidak aktraktif dan tidak fleksibel sehingga membuat siswa tidak tertarik untuk membacanya. Untuk itu, pengembangan E-Modul sangat cocok diterapkan karena memiliki manfaat yang banyak sekali terutama terkait aksesibilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E-Modul mengenai cerita tokoh pejuang dari Provinsi Riau yang berbasis android. Tujuan dari perancangan ini yaitu untuk (1) menciptakan E-Modul yang mudah diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja serta (2) mengenalkan tokoh pejuang dan sejarah lokal Provinsi Riau dengan pendekatan teknologi berbasis android. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) untuk merancang dan mengevaluasi efektivitas produk yang dirancang. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D (Four D) yang meliputi define (pendefinisian), design(perancangan), develop(pengembangan) dan disseminate (penyebaran). Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa E-Modul yang dirancang memenuhi standar kecukupan dan dapat diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Selain itu, tanggapan siswa terhadap E-Modul tersebut menunjukan reaksi yang sangat positif.

Abstract

Students' interest in learning history remains low, primarily due to limited variety in instructional media. History education requires media that can present complex information in an engaging and accessible manner. Infographic media offers effective visualization to enhance students' learning interest. This study aims to determine the influence of infographic media on students' interest in learning history in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Kundur. This research employed a quantitative quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. The sample consisted of 68 students divided into a control class (n=34) using conventional PowerPoint media and an experimental class (n=34) using infographic media. The research instrument was a learning interest questionnaire with 25 valid items (α=0.874). Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test via SPSS version 25. Results showed a significance value of 0.026 (p<0.05), indicating a significant influence of infographic media on students' learning interest. The mean posttest score of the experimental class (M=103.91; SD=6.186) was significantly higher than the control class (M=100.18; SD=7.313). Cohen's d value of 0.55 indicates moderate effect size. This study demonstrates that infographic media effectively enhances students' learning interest in history with moderate practical significance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media digitalisasi dan pelayanan administrasi terhadap kepuasan wali santri di Pondok Pesantren Daarut Taukhid Al Maktub Pekanbaru. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada perkembangan teknologi digital yang mendorong transformasi pelayanan administrasi pendidikan, termasuk di lingkungan pesantren. Implementasi media digital seperti Pesantren Smart Digital (PSD) diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, serta kemudahan akses informasi bagi wali santri, meskipun dalam praktiknya masih terdapat kendala literasi digital, infrastruktur, dan kebiasaan penggunaan sistem manual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada wali santri sebagai responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, regresi linear, dan analisis jalur (path analysis) untuk mengetahui pengaruh parsial maupun simultan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media digitalisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan wali santri, terutama dalam aspek kemudahan akses informasi, efisiensi waktu, dan transparansi layanan. Pelayanan administrasi juga terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan wali santri, khususnya pada aspek kecepatan pelayanan, keakuratan informasi, dan responsivitas petugas. Secara simultan, penggunaan media digitalisasi dan pelayanan administrasi memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kepuasan wali santri. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya optimalisasi digitalisasi layanan administrasi yang didukung peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia dan infrastruktur teknologi guna meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan pesantren secara berkelanjutan.
