Abstract

The evaluation of teacher education and training programs is a crucial step in ensuring the quality of efforts to enhance educators’ competencies. One of the most widely used evaluation models in the context of training is the Kirkpatrick Model. This conceptual article aims to examine the relevance and applicability of the Kirkpatrick Model as a comprehensive framework for evaluating teacher training programs. The Kirkpatrick Model offers four interconnected levels of evaluation: reaction, learning, behavior, and results. Each level provides a different perspective on assessing program success, ranging from participant satisfaction to tangible impacts in the workplace. In the context of teacher training, this model can be used not only to measure participants’ cognitive and affective achievements but also to assess changes in teaching practices and contributions to improving the quality of education in schools. This article emphasizes that the use of the Kirkpatrick Model requires systematic evaluation planning, the collection of valid and reliable data, and the involvement of various stakeholders. Furthermore, this approach enables training organizers to objectively identify a program’s strengths and weaknesses, thereby providing a foundation for designing continuous improvements. Thus, the Kirkpatrick Model serves not only as a tool for measuring program success but also as a strategic instrument for decision-making and the formulation of more effective and impactful teacher training policies.

Abstract

Background. Chemistry learning is influenced by various psychological factors, including students’ metacognitive skills and self-efficacy. Both factors play a crucial role in motivating students to learn effectively. Therefore, it is essential for educators to understand how metacognitive skills and self-efficacy impact students’ performance in chemistry. Purpose. This study aims to investigate the impact of metacognitive skills and self-efficacy on chemistry learning achievement among students in Enrekang Regency. Additionally, this study examines the relationship between these psychological factors and how they contribute to the improvement of students’ chemistry performance. Method. Pearson product-moment correlation was used to assess the strength and direction of associations between the study variables, while multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to evaluate the extent to which metacognitive skills and self-efficacy jointly predict students’ chemistry learning achievement. The significance level for all statistical analyses was set at ? = 0.05. Results. The findings indicate that metacognitive skills and self-efficacy have a significant positive correlation with chemistry learning achievement. Specifically, self-efficacy has a stronger influence than metacognitive skills in predicting chemistry learning achievement. Regression results show that both factors can explain 36% of the variance in students’ chemistry learning achievement. Conclusion. This study contributes to the growing body of research on educational psychology by demonstrating the significance of self-efficacy and metacognitive skills in predicting chemistry learning achievement. The findings suggest that educators should incorporate instructional practices that promote students’ metacognitive regulation and strengthen their self-efficacy, as these factors may play a crucial role in improving learning outcomes and overall academic success in chemistry education.

Abstract

The increase in teacher professionalism is marked by an increase in the competencies that must be owned by teachers, namely pedagogic competencies related to managing students, social competencies related to communication skills and professional competencies related to the ability to master knowledge and improve the quality of learning while studying. The practice of prayer is a skill that must be cultivated by the teacher. Teachers teaching junior high school students need to be creative in their approach to teaching, engage and motivate their students. Make practice with clear details. If you have material about prayer with clear pictures and interesting details, students are always happy when the teacher takes the time to explain how to pray in great detail. Knowing the proper prayer procedures, a teacher must have a deep understanding and be skilled in using various techniques and have a good stage performance which usually displays magical elements and is intended for the benefit of the student himself. This is then passed down from generation to generation. They usually have magical or supernatural elements and often teach Islamic religious teachings.
