Abstract

Adaptive approach is an intervention strategy that places the unique needs of each child with mild autism as the center of attention, so that learning and therapy methods are flexibly adjusted to individual characteristics and abilities. This literature review examines how adaptive approach can increase the independence of children with mild autism through the active role of parents and the implementation of structured daily activities. Parents act as the main partners in the learning process, not only providing emotional support, but also becoming facilitators who help children apply the skills learned at school into everyday life at home. Structured daily activities provide clear and consistent routines, helping children understand and anticipate activities, thereby reducing anxiety and increasing focus in carrying out tasks. Stimulus-response techniques are an effective method in developing children's adaptive behavior, with positive reinforcement that motivates children to continue learning and repeating independent behavior. Close collaboration between teachers, therapists, and parents creates an adaptive and consistent learning environment, which allows children to develop independence gradually and sustainably. This study confirms that holistic interventions involving full support from parents and the implementation of structured daily activities are the keys to success in increasing the independence of children with mild autism.

Abstract

Inclusive education aims to provide equal access for all students, including those with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD). However, its implementation still faces challenges, especially in creating a supportive learning environment. Teachers play an important role by implementing appropriate learning strategies. This research uses the literature study method to analyze the role of teachers in understanding students with GEP, strategies used, challenges faced, and solutions that can be applied. The data sources used include scientific journals as the main reference. The research process includes problem identification, literature search and selection, content analysis, and conclusion formulation based on the findings of the various references reviewed. The results show that teacher training, collaboration with experts, and supportive policies are needed for the success of inclusive education for students with GEP.

Abstract

Inclusive education aims to provide equal learning opportunities for all learners, including those with special needs. However, its implementation in Indonesia still faces various challenges, such as educators' readiness, limited facilities and lack of cooperation between schools, parents and communities. This study aims to identify innovative strategies in developing inclusive education so that it can be effectively implemented in the school environment. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data sources came from various books, scientific journals and publications relevant to inclusive education. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature review, while data analysis techniques used critical analysis to identify patterns, challenges and solutions in the implementation of inclusive education. The results show that intensive and practice-based teacher training, providing adequate infrastructure and strengthening collaboration between parties play an important role in creating a more inclusive learning environment. Therefore, clear policies, continuous training and facility support are needed to realize a fair and equal education system

Abstract

Education is a fundamental right for every individual, including Children with Special Needs (CSN) such as speech-impaired and physically disabled children. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the role of family and education in supporting CSN, based on narratives from Denny Sumargo’s podcast. Data collection techniques include observation, transcription, and literature review. The findings reveal that the family plays a crucial role in building self-confidence, providing emotional support, and ensuring equitable access to education for CSN. Additionally, an adaptive inclusive education system contributes significantly to the optimal development of CSN. These findings emphasize the importance of synergy between families and educational institutions in creating a supportive environment for CSN

Abstract

This research aims to explore the various challenges faced by teachers in designing learning media for children with intellectual disabilities, as well as to develop more targeted training policies and strategies. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a focus on describing an event, behavior, problem or condition being studied. The main data collection technique in this study is interviews. The data source for this study was one of the teachers at SLB ABC Melati Aisyiyah Deli Serdang, especially as a class 5C teacher (intellectual disabilities). The findings of this study indicate that the success of implementing learning media for children with intellectual disabilities is greatly influenced by teacher readiness, limited facilities and infrastructure, variations in student characteristics, and the need for individual, interactive learning strategies supported by teacher training and adaptive evaluation

Abstract

This study aims to identify the vocabulary comprehension process and effective Indonesian language learning methods for blind children. The method used for this study is a literature study. Data were collected from various articles, books, and other relevant sources, then selected based on two main criteria, namely an explanation of the vocabulary comprehension process and Indonesian language learning methods for blind children. The results of the study show that blind children can understand vocabulary through sound associations with objects or concepts that can be felt directly through touch or motor experience. Blind children learn Indonesian by utilizing their senses that are still functioning, such as hearing and touch, children with this type of disability can develop language skills through various effective methods and media. Learning Indonesian for Children with Special Needs (ABK), one of which is blind, requires curriculum adaptation, special learning media, and teaching strategies that are adjusted to their learning characteristics.

Abstract

Saat ini Artificial Intelligence (AI) bukan lagi sekedar bayangan masa depan, tetapi sudah menjadi alat yang digunakan sehari-hari khusunya dalam dunia perkuliahan. Kemajuan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intellegence) telah mempengaruhi cara belajar mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Namun di sisi lain hal ini menjadi perhatian khusus bagi mahasiswa, jika terlalu bergantung pada AI, mahasiswa mungkin kehilangan kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan memecahkan masalah secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) oleh mahasiswa program studi Ilmu Komputer di Universitas Negeri Medan dalam kegiatan perkuliahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data primer melalui kuesioner daring (Google Forms) dari 45 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh mahasiswa pernah menggunakan AI untuk kegiatan akademik dengan intensitas yang bervariasi. Mayoritas mahasiswa merasakan dampak positif AI dalam membantu menyelesaikan tugas dan memotivasi belajar dan penggunaan AI berkontribusi dalam kegiatan akademik.

Abstract

Keterampilan mengulas teks guru PAUD memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kemampuan bahasa Indonesia pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi keterampilan tersebut dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dan analisis hasil karya siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi dalam keterampilan mengulas teks guru PAUD, namun keterampilan yang baik memiliki dampak positif terhadap kemampuan bahasa anak usia dini. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional bagi guru PAUD dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengulas teks mereka. Simpulan penelitian ini menekankan perlunya peran aktif guru PAUD dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa Indonesia pada usia dini melalui keterampilan mengulas teks.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peran teks berita sebagai bahan ajar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa. Keterampilan membaca merupakan elemen penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa yang memungkinkan siswa memperoleh pengetahuan dan informasi. Teks berita, yang menyajikan informasi faktual dan terkini, sangat relevan digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Melalui teks berita, siswa tidak hanya belajar mengidentifikasi struktur dan konten, tetapi juga mengembangkan kemampuan literasi dan kesadaran sosial. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan desain konseptual dan analisis kebahasaan, dengan pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks berita dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca, melatih kemampuan analisis kritis, dan memperkaya kosakata siswa. Penggunaan teks berita dalam proses pembelajaran terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menarik dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang larangan perkawinan semarga dalam masyarakat Batak Angkola dan implikasi sanksi terhadap pelanggarnya. Perkawinan semarga atau Namariboto dianggap sebagai perkawinan sedarah antara pria dan wanita yang memiliki marga sama, dan sangat dilarang dalam adat Batak Angkola. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka untuk menganalisis bagaimana adat tersebut dijalankan, nilai-nilai yang mendasarinya, serta dampak sosial dan kultural akibat pelanggaran aturan adat tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa larangan ini memiliki akar yang dalam pada nilai-nilai budaya dan kepercayaan masyarakat Angkola, serta berperan penting dalam menjaga struktur sosial dan identitas kelompok. Sanksi adat yang diterapkan terhadap pelanggar bervariasi, mulai dari denda berupa penyembelihan hewan, penggantian marga, hingga pengucilan dari upacara adat. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya perkawinan semarga antara lain cinta, penyembunyian marga asli, dan faktor lingkungan.
