Abstract

This study aims to analyze the presence of Africans in the Dutch East Indies in the 19th century as a historical review. This study uses a qualitative research method with a historical approach, through a literature study of books, archives, and scientific journals relevant to the history of Africans in the Dutch East Indies. The purpose of this study is to determine the background of the recruitment of Africans in the Dutch East Indies, the formation and characteristics of Zwarte Hollander, distribution and placement in the Dutch East Indies, and to determine the role of Africans in colonial military operations. The results of the study indicate that the recruitment of Africans in the Dutch East Indies did not occur spontaneously and through several reasons, including the Dutch experiencing a serious crisis in the supply of military personnel in the Dutch East Indies, so the Dutch recruited African soldiers to join the KNIL.

Abstract

Peningkatan penggunaan aplikasi e-commerce menuntut kualitas usability yang tinggi agar dapat meningkatkan kepuasan dan retensi pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis serta membandingkan sentimen pengguna terhadap empat aspek usability (kecepatan, stabilitas, navigasi, dan tampilan antarmuka) pada aplikasi Shopee dan Tokopedia berdasarkan 5.000 ulasan Google Play Store per aplikasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui web scraping, difilter berdasarkan kata kunci usability, kemudian diproses dengan preprocessing teks, pembobotan TF-IDF, dan klasifikasi menggunakan algoritma Multinomial Naive Bayes. Hasil menunjukkan dominasi sentimen negatif pada kedua aplikasi (Shopee 78,56 %; Tokopedia 91,38 %). Akurasi model mencapai 80,19 % untuk Shopee dan 91,12 % untuk Tokopedia. Meskipun demikian, karena ketidakseimbangan kelas yang ekstrem, model cenderung memprediksi semua ulasan sebagai negatif. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi prioritas perbaikan usability berbasis data bagi pengembang aplikasi e-commerce di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan nilai solidaritas dalam sistem pengelolaan keuangan di Saung Angklung Udjo guna mencapai akuntabilitas organisasi budaya. Sebagai entitas bisnis yang bergerak di sektor pariwisata dan pelestarian budaya, Saung Angklung Udjo menghadapi tantangan unik dalam menyeimbangkan profitabilitas bisnis dengan misi budayanya. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi lapangan guna memahami fenomena secara komprehensif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan keuangan dilakukan melalui sistem autopilot yang disesuaikan serta penggunaan teknologi Point of Sales (POS) yang selaras dengan standar PSAK. Transparansi dan akuntabilitas dicapai melalui mekanisme laporan harian, pemeriksaan ganda (double checking), serta pelaporan yang dilakukan secara rutin dan berkala. Lebih lanjut, praktik akuntansi budaya di Saung Angklung Udjo tercermin dalam internalisasi filosofi silih asih, silih asah, dan silih asuh pada setiap kebijakan organisasi. Nilai-nilai tersebut memengaruhi pengambilan keputusan keuangan dengan menekankan aspek konsultasi dan keharmonisan antar divisi di atas efisiensi keuangan semata. Keseimbangan antara pengembangan ekonomi dan pelestarian budaya diwujudkan melalui program pelatihan seni di bawah sponsor yayasan serta inisiatif CSR budaya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggabungan kearifan lokal dengan manajemen modern melalui pendekatan kualitatif ini terbukti efektif dalam menjaga keberlanjutan dan akuntabilitas organisasi budaya tanpa menghilangkan identitas tradisionalnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing Generation Z's intention to apply for jobs through Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based recruitment platforms. Utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework, this research examines the impact of AI-based recruitment exposure and algorithmic fairness perception on the intention to apply, with trust in the system as a mediating variable. Data were collected via online questionnaires from 110 Generation Z respondents in Bandar Lampung City who are active users of digital job portal platforms. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) assisted by SmartPLS software. The results indicate that AI-based recruitment exposure and algorithmic fairness perception have a positive and significant influence on Generation Z's intention to apply. Furthermore, both independent variables were found to enhance candidate trust in automated recruitment systems. The mediation analysis confirms that trust plays a crucial role as a mediator linking technological experience and fairness perceptions with the actual behavioral intention to apply for a job. These findings provide practical implications for companies and HR practitioners to prioritize algorithmic transparency and data security to build the trust of young talent in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of reward systems and work schedule flexibility on employee performance, with employee happiness as an intervening variable among Generation Z employees in coffee shops in Bandar Lampung. The research adopts a quantitative associative approach using primary data collected from 100 respondents through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that reward systems and work flexibility do not have a direct and significant effect on employee performance. However, both variables have a positive and significant influence on employee happiness, which in turn significantly affects employee performance. Furthermore, employee happiness is proven to mediate the relationship between reward systems, work flexibility, and employee performance. These findings highlight that psychological well-being plays a crucial role in improving employee performance, especially among Generation Z workers. Therefore, organizations should not only focus on external factors such as rewards and flexibility but also prioritize strategies that enhance employee happiness to achieve optimal performance outcomes.
