Abstract

SMPN 1 Rembang is located in Losari Village, Rembang District, Purbalingga Regency. The library of SMPN 1 Rembang in carrying out its duties is still conventional such as recording in a book filling in the visitor list, borrowing and returning books. Systems that run manually often get problems such as problems that often occur books that are often returned late. This research discusses the design of an online book loan system by utilizing internet technology which is growing rapidly. This application is used to make it easier for students and teachers when borrowing books because there is no need to come directly to the library so that every process carried out becomes more effective. The method used in system development is the User Centered Design (UCD) method, in this development method there are 4 stages of the approach, namely analysis, design, evaluation, and implementation. PHP is used as a development tool in this research, namely as a programming language and MySQL as a database. The results of the research obtained while in the form of an online book lending system that can run according to its function. This application aims to facilitate library visitors in searching for books, borrowing books, and returning books so that these activities become more organized. The function of the system created to process data related to the library such as managing book data, tracking book locations, checking borrowing, borrowing time limits to related fines. Then in the admin section it also functions for member registration activities, book data, book categories, book location data, book borrowing processes, book returns and data recap reports.

Abstract

Desalination is the process of removing salt from seawater or brackish water so that it can become fresh water. The term has long been coined but not many people have practised it, including members of the Lantebung Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). The community of Lantebung has reportedly been experiencing clean water shortages for the past five years, while the coastal sea water of Lantebung stretches for 9.69 km. This activity aims to provide knowledge to Pokdarwis Lantebung regarding desalination, and provide training to Pokdarwis Lantebung regarding desalination mechanisms, both conventionally using sunlight through the evaporation process, as well as using water distiller purification. This community service was carried out on 26 October 2024 at the house of the Chairperson of Pokdarwis Lantebung in Lantebung, Bira Village, Tamalanrea Sub-district, Makassar City with a training theme with four main stages, namely preparation and planning, socialisation, training and application, as well as assistance and evaluation. The conclusion of the service showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of Pokdarwis Lantebung members related to desalination based on the comparison of the pre-test and post-test that had been given, where between the pre-test and post-test six presenters presented six different materials according to their fields of expertise. In addition, the training on desalination mechanisms using conventional methods and distillation methods using water distiller purification went smoothly and was fully supported through the enthusiasm of the participants in the entire series of activities.

Abstract

This study will seek to find out the effectiveness of the immersive English environment in the Bidan Dormitory in developing the language and speaking confidence of EFL learners. In this research study, qualitative data collection methods were employed through diary entries of the students, observation, and interviews with the camp supervisor. The results of the study showed that continuous exposure to English, peer interaction, and structured activities facilitated linguistic proficiency and confidence. At first, the students were battling with fear, embarrassment, and a limited vocabulary due to the strict English-only rule; however, their skills improved significantly through consistent practice supported by operant conditioning principles of rewards and penalties. According to Vygotsky's Social Constructivism Theory, peer interaction and supportive community created a collaborative learning atmosphere, while some structured activities such as Morning Class and Camp Night Party aligned with Long's Interaction Hypothesis, offering active participation opportunities despite additional support needs for lower-achieving students. This immersive environment integrates the behaviorist, interactionist, and constructivist approaches to language learning so well that it highlights a number of tailored interventions, such as study clubs and personalized mentoring, that may be required to support less confident learners. The paper also confirms the potential of an immersive setting in second language acquisition and recommends that future research investigate how such settings might respond to the diverse needs of learners.

Abstract

Supply chain management assistance in limestone businesses aims to improve operational efficiency, managerial capacity, and market access. Limestone businesses often face challenges such as production inefficiency, high operational costs, and limited market access. Through the Supply Chain-Based Capacity Building approach, assistance is carried out through education and training related to raw material management, optimization of production processes, and more effective distribution strategies. The results of the assistance show increased production efficiency, reduced operational costs, and improvements in the business management system. In addition, business actors are better able to make data-based decisions and more structured supply chain strategies, so that business competitiveness increases. Other impacts are the expansion of market access and the implementation of more environmentally friendly business practices. Thus, this assistance contributes to the sustainability and development of a more competitive limestone business.

Abstract

Writing instruction is one of the educational tools which is very important in writing courses, including creative writing. It can help students understand how to write a specific genre of text, as well as guide students in the writing process. This research aims to investigate the need for developing writing instruction for writing educational short stories based on local narratives. The need analysis includes target needs and learning needs. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative, using a questionnaire and interview as the instrument. The result of this research showed that literary aspects such as theme, plot, character, setting, point of view, and educational value needed to be strengthened. Those materials should be the priority to be implemented in writing exercises about local stories. It can be concluded that this study underlines the important role of writing instruction, especially in developing creative writing proficiency, emphasizing the need to strengthen the literary aspects of short stories.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of tax knowledge, tax socialization, tax service quality, tax sanctions on MSME taxpayer compliance at KPP Pratama Praya, Central Lombok Regency. This research is a type of quantitative research with an associative approach. The population in this study is MSME taxpayers who are registered at KPP Pratama Praya, Central Lombok Regency. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by distributing questionnaires directly to research respondents. The analytical method used in this study is multiple linear regression using the SPSS software program version 25. The results of this study indicate that the independent variable of tax knowledge does not have a significant effect on MSME taxpayer compliance. The tax socialization variable has a significant effect on MSME taxpayer compliance. The variable quality of taxation services has a significant effect on MSME taxpayer compliance, and the variable taxation sanctions has a significant effect on MSME taxpayer compliance. The independent variable is able to influence the dependent variable (MSME taxpayer compliance) by 82%. While the remaining 18% is influenced by other variables outside this research model.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam bidang kesehatan mendorong rumah sakit untuk menggunakan teknologi demi meningkatkan efisiensi layanan. Salah satu inovasi utama adalah Platform Registrasi Mandiri (APM), yang memungkinkan pasien untuk mendaftar sendiriTujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana pasien merasa puas dan menerima APM. di Rumah Sakit Universitas Sebelas Maret dengan menggunakan metode End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) dan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan analitik kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang, melibatkan 400 responden yang diambil melalui teknik pengambilan sampel acak sederhana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner yang telah melalui pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas, serta dianalisis dengan regresi logistik. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel tampilan, kemudahan penggunaan, dan ketepatan waktu memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pasien. Di sisi lain, persepsi kegunaan, sikap, dan niat memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap penerimaan pasien terhadap APM. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan APM dapat meningkatkan efisiensi layanan dan kepuasan pasien apabila faktor-faktor penting diperhitungkan. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk rekomendasi dalam pengembangan layanan digital rumah sakit guna meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan kenyamanan pasien.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru IPA dalam menggunakan Kit IPA dalam pembelajaran dengan metode eksperimen dan mengetahui dampak positif program pengembangan kompetensi guru dalam melaksanakan inkuiri eksperimen IPA bagi guru dalam kelompok MGMP IPA Rayon 1 Pelalawan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode simulasi/pemodelan, latihan, diskusi, dan real teaching. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru IPA dalam menggunakan Kit IPA terhadap pengelolaan eksperimen. Dengan adanya peningkatan tersebut, maka metode eksperimen dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran, sehingga siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Peran pendidikan sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan anak bangsa baik secara emosional, spiritual maupun intelektual. Akan tetapi, faktor ekonomi menjadi penyebab anak putus sekolah. Dan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, pemerintah telah membuat Program Indoneais Pintar (PIP). Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) melalui Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) adalah pemberian bantuan tunai pendidikan kepada anak usia sekolah (6-21 tahun). Program ini dimaksud untuk meringankan biaya peserta didik baik langsung maupun tidak langsung. Salah satu sekolah di Asahan yang telah menjalan program ini adalah MIS NU Dusun III Pinangripan. Adapun kriteria dari untuk pengklasifikasian ini berupa nilai rata-rata siswa, penghasilan orangtua, dan tanggungan orangtua. Namun, pihak sekolah masih memiliki kesalahan dalam pengklasifikasian kelayakan siswa penerima Program Indonesia Pintar(PIP), yang mana hal tersebut dapat merugikan pihak sekolah dan juga siswa yang terlibat. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dibutuhkanlah sebuah sistem Klasifikasi Kelayakan Penerima program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) Siswa MIS NU Dusun III Pinangripan untuk meminimalisir masalah tersebut. Adapun salah satu teknik yang digunakan dalam mengelola kelayakan penerima Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) adalah Naïve Bayes yang merupakan metode dari Data Mining. Naive Bayes digunakan untuk proses prediksi dengan menggunakan probabilitas dan statistik yang dapat memprediksi peluang dimasa depan berdasarkan pengalaman sebelumnya. Pemilihan Metode ini karena Naive Bayes memiliki kelebihan diantaranya dapat memprediksi jumlah siswa yang layak mendapatkan Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) berdasarkan data-data yang konkrit agar hasilnya dapat dipertanggung jawabkan dan digunakan untuk prediksi selanjutnya. Dataset dalam penelitian ini adalah data Siswa MIS NU Dusun III Pinangripan Tahun 2023/2024 Ganjil sebanyak 130 siswa dengan data training 91 siswa dan data testing 39 siswa. Dengan menggunakan Algoritma Naïve Bayes dan Model Confusion Matrix, didapatkan nilai precision 92%, nilai recall 100%, nilai f1-score 96%, dan nilai akurasi sebesar 97% yang masuk kedalam kategori Good Classification.

Abstract

Students’ learning interest is a crucial factor influencing the success of the learning process. The lack of variety in engaging learning media often becomes an obstacle in enhancing students’ interest in learning. This study aims to investigate the effect of implementing the “Microsoft Office Sway” media on improving students’ learning interest at SMPN 4 Bolo. The research employed an experimental method (True Experimental Design) with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, comparing a control group that used conventional learning methods with an experimental group that utilized Microsoft Office Sway media. The population of this study consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMPN 4 Bolo, totaling 67 students. The sample included two class groups: class VIII-2 as the experimental group and class VIII-3 as the control group, selected based on purposive sampling criteria. The criteria determined that the selected classes were considered representative of the population. To measure the influence of Sway media on students’ learning interest, the researchers used questionnaire instruments consisting of 25 items for the “Sway Media Implementation” questionnaire and 25 items for the “Learning Interest” questionnaire, analyzed using a Likert scale. Descriptive analysis was conducted to compare the mean scores from both questionnaires. Hypothesis testing was carried out using Simple Linear Regression analysis with Inferential Statistics through SPSS 21. Prior to hypothesis testing, prerequisite analyses, namely normality and homogeneity tests, were conducted to determine whether the null hypothesis (H0) would be rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted, or vice versa.
