Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the effect of nutrient concentrations on plant growth AB Mix the spinach with hydroponic techniques wick system as well as the design for the development of learning handout on SMP IPA in March-May 2016. The study was carried out by two phases: an experiment: the effect of nutrient concentrations AB Mix the spinach plant growth (Amaranthus tricolor L.) with hydroponic techniques and the wick system design stage handout science teaching junior high school. The study used an experimental method performed in Greenhouse Natural Laboratory Biology Education Studies Program FKIP Riau University Pekanbaru. Sampling was done by completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this study were plant height, leaf number, fresh weight and dry weight of plants. Based on the results of analysis of variance (Anova) at 5% level, giving AB Mix nutrient concentrations showed significantly affect plant growth amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor L.). Mix AB Award nutrient solution with a concentration of 1400 ppm produced growth of crop plants spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) is best reached 34.7 cm height, number of leaves strands 9.33, 11.88 g wet weight and dry weight of 0.99 g , Based on the analysis of the potential of the research results can be used as a handout designed development on biotechnology concept for junior high school students.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to know influence of fermentation time pineapple skin waste (Ananas comosus L. Merr) againts bioethanol level and produce a design biology learning module at senior high school biotechnology material. Therefore a survey has been conducted in Kualu Nenas village of Kampar district Riau province to obtain the information as a raw for research and instruments for designing learning module. Experimental research by conducted a long fermentation experiment for 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 96 hours and 120 hours of pineapple skin waste with 5 treatments 3 replicates whewe the substrate was hudrolyzed first with 5% sulfuric acid and continued with the developments of learning module from experimental research (only analyze and design stages). The research data were analized using variances analysis techniques and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) of the 5% level. The results of the study indicate that fermentation time affects the bioethanol level and decreases the pH value, but does not affect temperature changes. The highest average bioethanol content was found at 96 hours (4 days) of fermentation which was 9.90%. All research data can be used to design senior high school biology learning module in conventional biotechnology material class XII with project based learning models. However, before the module design is used on a wider scale it is recomended that a feasibility test and effectiveness be carried out on a limited scale.Key Words: Fermentation, Pineapple Skin Waste, Bioethanol, Biology Learning Module

Abstract

Abstract : The research was conducted to determine the composition and structure of vegetation of trees and carbon stocks in forests and city parks Pekanbaru in November 2015 to January 2016. The results used to develop module concept of forest benefits on local content of environmental education high school grade XI. The study consisted of two phases, the first analysis of the composition, vegetation structure, and estimation of carbon stocks with the survey and non - destructive method. The second phase, developing a module with concept of forest benefits by using ADDIE models. Based on the survey results revealed that the forests and parks of Pekanbaru there are 21 family, 48 species and 3218 trees with an average density of 500.64 trees / ha and diversity index of 1.93 is classified as moderate. Total carbon stocks in forest and city park of Pekanbaru is 325.692 tons. The results of the research used to development of modules and get very valid with a mean value of 4.25 and a limited test results get very good category with a mean of 85.42.Keywords : Carbon Stock, species composition, vegetation structure tree.

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the variation of the leafanatomical structure of several types of monocot plants in January- October 2020. Thisresearch was conducted in 2 stages, namely the first stage: analysis of variations in theanatomical structure of the leaves of several types of monocot plants and the secondstage of LKPD design: potential analysis. development of teaching materials for thestructure and function of plant tissue for class XI SMA. This study used the paraffinmethod for leaf anatomical preparations in the Laboratory of FMIPA Biology, RiauUniversity and observation of preparations at the Laboratory of Biology, Study ofBiology Education, FKIP Riau University. The results of the research on the anatomicalstructure of the leaves tasbih ( Canna indica L), jagung ( Zea mays L), kayu apu ( Pistiastratiotes L) and eceng gondok ( Eichornia crassipes (Mart) Solm) showed variations inleaf anatomical structure based on qualitative and quantitative characters. Abstract

Abstract: Domestic waste is one of the source of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) that affect climate change. GHG emissions from the waste sector, including domestic solid waste are generally in the form of methane (CH4) generated from landfills (TPA) and carbon dioxide (CO2) generated from open burning activities. Waste banks have the potential to reduce GHG emissions because they reduce the generation of waste that will be disposed of in the TPA. This study aims to determine the level of reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from waste banks in Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted in Pekanbaru City from March to May 2021. The type of research used was descriptive quantitative research with a total sampling method covering 30 unit waste banks and 1 main waste bank managed by the Environment and Hygiene Service (DLHK) of Pekanbaru City. The data obtained were analyzed using the IPCC guidelines with accuracy level Tier1. The results showed that the waste bank in the city of Pekanbaru reduce GHG emissions amounted to 0.082 tons of CO2eq (8.37%) in the year 2019 and amounted to 0,018 tons of CO2eq (1.84%) in 2020.Key Words: Waste Banks, Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions, IPCC

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the effect of yeast concentration and combination of lamtoro gung (Leucaena leucocephala (Lamk.) De Wit) seeds with gude beans (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.) On protein content and tempe fiber as a design of the Student Worksheet (LKPD) in conventional Biotechnology coventioanl material in Class XII High School in April-November 2019. This research was carried out in 2 stages: the experimental stage: the effect of yeast concentration and the combination of lamtoro gung seeds with gude beans on protein content and tempe fiber and LKPD design stage: analysis development of biotechnology teaching materials for grade XII high school. The study used an experimental method by conducting experiments in the Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (Faperika), Pekanbaru. Sampling was carried out with a Factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The parameters in this study are protein content and fiber content. Based on the results of the analysis of variance (Anava) at 5% level, the addition of yeast concentration and the combination of lamtoro gung seeds with peanuts showed a significant effect on tempe characteristics. The addition of 1.5% yeast concentration and the combination of lamtoro gung seeds with gude nuts (25g: 75g) gave an increase in the best quality of tempe and based on the analysis of the potential of research results it can be used as a design of Student Worksheet (LKPD) of biotechnology coventional material of senior high school grade XII.Key Words: Gung lamtoro seeds, Gude Beans, LKPD, Yeast, Tempe

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is design of lesson plan based green pedagogy for Biology pre-teacher students FKIP University of Riau. The development was conducted at Biology Education University of Riau. The research held on January until June 2015. Datawere collected byfillingthe validity of the assessment sheet by each validator. Collected datas were analyzed by descriptive statistics. Results of the validity of development lesson plan green pedagogy meet I-XVI are; 3,18; 3,16; 3,19; 3,27; 3,17; 3,28; 3,22; 3,29; 3,17; 3,21; 3,17; 3,28; 3,18; 3,15; 3,16 and 3,20 with valid category. Results of limiting test is 86,25% with very valid. On the last stage of the research, a limiting test on the biology students. Based on the research’s results can be concluded that the design of lesson plan based green pedagogy for Biology pre-teacher students FKIP University of Riau was done with the ADDIE model that consists of some phase, start from analyze, design, develop until limiting test. Based on the results of validation, lesson plan design green pedagogy could be implemented with the field test.Keywords: Lesson plan, learning, green pedagogy

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of temperature on the growth of Bacteria Bacillus cereus strain IMB-10 in degrading diesel fuel. This research was carried out in the UR FKIP PMIPA laboratory to determine how the effectiveness of temperature on the growth of Bacteria Bacillus cereus strain IMB-10 in degrading diesel fuel and measuring the level of degradation of TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons) for diesel fuel which was carried out at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering ITB. The research was conducted in November 2019 - June 2020. This research was descriptive with an experimental method, the research design used was a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 4 repetitions, the media used was SMSS media with different temperature variations, namely temperatures of 310C, 340C , 370C and 400C then added 5% diesel fuel and bacterial isolate Bacillus cereus strain IMB-10. The parameters tested were Optical Dencity (turbidity level) growth of Bacillus cereus Strain IMB-10 spectrophotometer and measurement of the degradation rate (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons) TPH which consisted of 2 steps, namely measuring the initial TPH and final TPH using the gravimetric method. Based on the results of the study, the temperature of 340C is an effective temperature for the growth of the bacteria Bacillus cereus Strain IMB-10 with the highest OD value on day 5 of 3.6 A and a reduction in the level of diesel fuel degradation by 35.91%. Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the level of CO2 emissionsfrom fossil fuel use in Pekanbaru city and develop module concept of environmentalissues in the subject of environmental education. The study was conducted in November2012 to May 2016. The method used in this study is a documentation method to collectdata on the various agencies related to research, whereas the module development isdone using ADDIE models at analysis, design, and development. Parameters usedinclude emission sources and CO2 emission levels, vegetation trees in the green belt, aswell as climatic conditions. Sources of emissions come from the use of fuel oil (BBM),electricity and LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas). The highest emission levels derived fromfuel, which reached 192.636 Gg CO2. Tree vegetation in the Green Line Pekanbaru Cityhas 49 species and 11 588 individuals and that most are Swietenia macrophylla withabsorptive capacity of 295.73 kg CO2 / tree / year. Climatic conditions in Pekanbarucity is Fluctuating. The observed climate parameters such as temperature, humidity andrainfall results can be developed into a module by showing a very valid category (4.2)and the test results are limited by learners show very good category (90.6).Keywords: CO2 Emissions, Fossil Fuels, green line of vegetation, climate, module

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted ontoxicity tests of rengas (Glutarenghas) bark extract to shrimp larvae Artemia salina for the developing of learningmodules on the concept of environmental balance class X Senior High School in July toSeptember 2015. This research aims to determine the toxicity of rengas (Gluta renghas)bark extract to shrimp larvae of Artemia salina and produce learning modules on theconcept of environmental balance of class X Senior High School. This research wascarried out by two stages. The first stage is an experimental research using BrineShrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method which consisted of 5 treatments and 3replications. Parameters measured were the mortality of shrimp larvae Artemia salina.The data obtained and analyzed by probit analysis using regression equation. Thesecond stage is the development of research learning modules using ADDIEdevelopment model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation)conducted into 3 stages: Analyze, Design and Development. The research of dataobtained from the development of the learning modules are validated by the validationsheet 3 validator by using 5 criteria of validity and analyzed descriptively. The resultsshowed that the extract of bark rengas (Gluta renghas) is toxic to shrimp larvae ofArtemia salina.
