Abstract

English Language has many unique properties among which are words; the most tangible elements of a language. Morphology has an impact on Language learners’ ability to both listen and speak efficiently in English. Indeed, the most serious problems of teaching English have to do with the quality of the teachers available for teaching the language as nearly all such teachers are L2 speakers. The paper aims to broaden the scope and knowledge of students and their teachers on word use and word formation through paradigmatic and syntagmatic relations. Accordingly, the possibility of effecting appreciable improvement in the quality of the English spoken in the country as a whole would appear very remote if the study of words and their relationships continue to be neglected in schools. Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of the low counting ability of 1-10 children in Infarul Ghoy I Kindergarten because many children still do not understand the numbers 1-10, such as saying number symbols, conceptualizing numbers, stating the order of numbers, arranging numbers. Therefore, researchers will conduct research using fishing media as a medium that can facilitate counting learning activities. This research aims to find out whether fishing media can influence the ability to count 1-10 in group A children of Infarul Ghoy I Kindergarten, Tritunggal Village, Babat District, Lamongan Regency. This research is a one-group pretest posttest design research. Data analysis applied in this research was pretest and posttest techniques (t test). The subjects of this research were 25 children aged 4 - 5 years, consisting of 17 male students and 8 female students. make learning activities easier to count. The results of the research show that the calculated t test results have a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. So the Null Hypothesis is rejected. Thus it can be stated that "The color mixing activity has a very significant effect on the memory abilities of children in group A, Infarul Ghoy I Kindergarten, Tritunggal Village, Babat District, Lamongan Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to further analyze the effect of net sales and operating expenses on operating profit, either partially or simultaneously in trading companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, wholesale sub-sector.There is a discrepancy between theory and facts that occurs in the company's income statement, the fact is that net sales have increased but operating profit has decreased, and operating expenses have decreased but profits have decreased. Meanwhile, based on the theory, if the sales are higher, the profits will increase, and if the entity can reduce operating expenses, the entity will earn a larger profit.This research is a type of quantitative research, the sampling method used in this study is purposive sampling, with data collection techniques using secondary data taken from the company's financial statements from 2016 - 2020 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website, with a population of 41 companies and a sample of 10 companies. The results of this study indicate that partially the net sales variable (X1) has a significant effect on operating income (Y), and partially operating expenses (X2) has no significant effect on operating income (Y), simultaneously the variables of net sales and operating expenses significant effect on operating profit variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to discover the level of productive teacher’s performance, level of learning interest, and level of creativity as well as the influence of productive teacher’s performance on learning interest, and the influence of productive teacher’s performance on students’ creativity in Fashion Design Program at SMKN 2 Gowa in academic year of 2020/2021. This type of research is quantitative research, and the sampling technique used is the proportional cluster random sampling technique with a sample of 64 respondents. Methods of data collection employed observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The results show that 56.3% of teacher's performance is in high category, 68,8% of students is in medium level of learning interest, and 57,8% of students is in medium level of creativity. Based on the results of the study, partially the teacher's performance has a significant influence on learning interest with a percentage of 28.2%, while the teacher's performance has no influence on students' creativity.

Abstract

Learning is a process of changing human behavior for the better. In the school environment, these changes can be seen through learning outcomes, where the implementation to achieve these learning outcomes is influenced by various factors including interest and motivation to learn. The purpose of this study was to determine whether interest and motivation to study partially or simultaneously affect the learning outcomes of Vocational High School students. This type of research is a literature review. The samples are 10 international and national journals. Article and journal data collection techniques. The research method used is the journal review method, using Google Scholar. This research was conducted by collecting various articles supporting national and international journals. The criteria for scientific articles used as data are in the form of scientific articles sourced from journals that are updated in the last 5 years. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by collecting various supporting articles, namely several national journals and 10 international journals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program psikoedukasi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman tentang tekanan teman sebaya (peer pressure) pada remaja, khususnya anggota Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja (PIK-R) di MAN 2 Makassar. Permasalahan tekanan teman sebaya diidentifikasi sebagai isu utama berdasarkan hasil survei data awal yang dilakukan terhadap anggota PIK-R. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemberian psikoedukasi yang disertai dengan pengambilan data melalui pre-test dan post-test. Sebanyak 50 peserta berusia 15–17 tahun mengikuti kegiatan yang terdiri atas pre-test, penyampaian materi psikoedukasi, diskusi interaktif, dan post-test. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup konsep dasar peer pressure, aspek dan jenisnya, bentuk bentuk peer pressure serta faktor faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya peer pressure. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara skor pre-test 3,1 dan post-test 9,2, dengan nilai p < 0,05. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kegiatan psikoedukasi yang dilakukan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap dinamika tekanan teman sebaya (Peer pressure). Dengan demikian, kegiatan psikoedukasi ini terbukti efektif dalam membekali remaja dengan keterampilan untuk mengenali, mengevaluasi, dan mengatasi pengaruh negatif dari lingkungan sosialnya. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong terbentuknya peran aktif remaja sebagai agen perubahan positif di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This study identifies instances of technological advancement where AI was used in an intelligent classroom. A learner is more likely to learn concepts via a visual medium than from a literary one, such as smart classrooms and virtual reality programs. The inability to collaborate in education utilizing AI to create a smart classroom for increasing student learning and developing achievements was one of the new technologies' shortcomings. The idea behind that is to teach the learner through visual materials that are significantly easier for them to understand and retain than text-based lessons. The smart classroom makes decisions about how measurement data and classes of elegant class features can contribute to and lead to implementing training methods for manageable improvement in the act of authentic teaching forcefully. This study's methodology focuses on providing a review of the various types of smart classroom technologies that are now available. The outcome demonstrates the considerable influence and suggests improving additional technologies utilized in smart classrooms. The Smart level demonstrates how 3D symbolism and learning techniques are used to study and understand various concepts. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran Rumah Sifat Cahaya berbasis QR Code dan untuk menjelaskan desain, kelayakan, serta efektivitas media tersebut dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS tentang sifat-sifat cahaya di kalangan siswa kelas V SD Negeri Sekayu Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, Teknik pengumpulan data dibagi menjadi dua kategori: teknik tes yang mengukur hasil belajar melalui pretest dan posttest, serta teknik non-tes yang mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi pendukung. Metode purposive sampling digunakan untuk memilih subjek penelitian, dimana 9 siswa dari kelas VI mengikuti uji coba skala kecil, dan 18 siswa dari kelas V mengikuti uji coba skala besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Rumah Sifat Cahaya berbasis QR Code memiliki tingkat validasi media sebesar 92.5% dan persentase validasi materi sebesar 90%, yang menunjukkan bahwa media tersebut layak untuk diterapkan. Selain itu, hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai 0,000 < 0,05, dan hasil uji n-gain menunjukkan nilai 0,6385 dan 0,4909, yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata yang substansial dalam hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Rumah Sifat Cahaya berbasis QR Code adalah layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS tentang sifat-sifat cahaya di kelas V SD Negeri Sekayu Kota Semarang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the project-based learning (PBL) model in improving critical-reflective thinking skills in students. The PBL model was applied to two groups of students: an experimental group that followed project-based learning and a control group that followed conventional learning. This study used an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test to measure changes in critical-reflective thinking skills. Data were also collected through observation sheets and students' reflective journals. The results showed that the experimental group that applied the PBL model experienced a significant increase in critical-reflective thinking skills, with a significant difference in pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the control group that followed conventional learning did not show a significant change. Analysis of the reflective journal showed that students in the experimental group were able to identify strengths and weaknesses in their thinking process, as well as evaluate the solutions they chose in the project. Based on these results, it can be concluded that project-based learning is effective in improving students' critical-reflective thinking skills, as well as encouraging active involvement and collaboration. This study recommends the use of the PBL model as an alternative to improving critical-reflective thinking skills in higher education.

Abstract

Literacy is not only about reading and writing skills, but also includes the ability to understand and use information critically, so that a culture of reading literacy is critical in developing children's knowledge and insight. However, literacy conditions in Indonesia are still low. Therefore, the family environment plays a vital role as the primary foundation in fostering a culture of reading literacy in elementary school children through role models, support, and provision of facilities that support reading activities at home. The study aimed to identify the most influential family factors in building a literacy culture and formulate practical strategies that parents can apply to create a home environment conducive to developing elementary school children's literacy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected through documentation studies of relevant literature to build a conceptual framework and an in-depth understanding of the topic. Data analysis was carried out through three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The study results showed that the family environment plays a vital role in fostering a culture of reading literacy in elementary school children through role models, emotional support, and adequate reading facilities. The active involvement of parents in children's literacy activities has been shown to increase interest in and improve reading habits from an early age.
