Abstract

Data menunjukkan bahwa kekerasan seksual anak dan remaja meningkat secara tajam baik pada anak laki-laki maupun perempuan. Mengingat pelaku kekerasan seksual pada anak dapat terjadi di dalam keluarga maupun di luar keluarga maka pencegahan perlu dilakukan guna menghindari efek perilaku buruk anak sebagai dampak kekerasan seksual tersebut. Mengingat peran keayahbundaan tetap dominan dalam membentuk konsep, keyakinan dan kontrol diri remaja, maka perbaikan kapasitas keayahbundaan sangat dianjurkan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui identifikasi faktor resiko keluarga seperti kemiskinan, ketiadaan ayah/bunda secara fisik dan psikis, serta meningkatkan faktor proteksi keluarga melalui kapasitas keayahbundaan dengan meningkatkan pemahaman tahap perkembangan anak, menciptakan suasana rumah yang nyaman tanpa agresi dan kekerasan, gaya asuh penerimaan, kohesif, komunikasi dan disiplin positif, serta menjadi sumber keteladanan anak dan remaja.

Abstract

Permasalahan demoralisasi dan perilaku negatif pada anak dan remaja semakin meningkat di perkotaan dan pedesaan Indonesia. Guna mewujudkan nation’s character building , Model Dwiasas Karakter Sopan Santun dan Tekun digunakan sebagai pendidikan karakter anak melalui kemitraan holistik. Sopan santun dan tekun sebagai karakter dasar dalam membangun hubungan sosial dan untuk memperkuat kompetensi anak dan remaja diterjemahkan dalam program kemitraan holistik dari peran keayahbundaan, sekolah (PAUD, SD, SMP, SMA) dan masyarakat. Harapannya, dengan model karakter ini, berbagai permasalahan perilaku yang mengancam anak dan remaja dapat dicegah sejak dini. Model ini berpotensi diterapkan secara luas mengingat pedesaan masih menjadi wilayah dominan di Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to offer insights into Indonesian students' experiences with using Google Sites-based ePortfolios to learn public speaking, particularly concerning setting objectives, selecting platforms, selecting content, and uploading their ePortfolio. This qualitative research data was gathered from twenty-two students who joined public speaking lesson at an English Language Education Study Program of a university in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, through interviews, observations, and documentation. In-depth interviews were conducted with six selected students of the class and a lecturer who supervised the course. Data analysis is carried out through the process data preparation, reduction and categorization, representation, and conclusion. The study's findings are as follows: first, while creating an ePortfolio, students desire to have a personal website that serves as a repository for all of their resources, assignments, and completed projects that are structured thoroughly, neatly, and conveniently online. Second, students use Google-Sites, as per the guidelines provided in class, to choose the platform. Students first faced several challenges. Students successfully developed their ePortfolio after learning from friends and instructions from various social media platforms.. Third, students get experience producing and publishing a variety of artifacts, including text, photos, audio, and video, while selecting content.. Four, students gain practice presenting their ePortfolio to instructors and fellow students and engaging in discussion about it when they publish one.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya konsentrasi belajar matematika dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan konsentrasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika di SMP Negeri 1 Kebakkramat melalui pendekatan CRT (Culturally Responsive Teaching). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah adalah peserta didik kelas VIII C yang berjumlah 34 peserta didik. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdapat 4 tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi, Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, bahwa pada pada siklus 1 proses pembelajaran matematika dikatakan belum cukup baik, karena konsentrasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang diharapkan. Sedangkan pada siklus 2 konsentrasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dari siklus 1. Peserta didik dapat berkonsentrasi dengan baik dan memenuhi persentase 50% ke atas pada setiap indikatornya. Rata-rata nilai hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus 1 yaitu 77,79 meningkat menjadi 84,94 pada siklus 2. Disimpulkan bahwa melalui pendekatan CRT pada pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik

Abstract

Parenting style has been highlighted as one of the causes of depressive symptoms and also influences adolescent self-esteem. Although many studies have investigated the effect of self-esteem on depression, few have considered its role as a mediator variable. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the direct effect of parenting style on adolescent depression and its indirect effect on self-esteem. An online survey was completed voluntarily by 555 respondents from four senior high schools in Bekasi, Indonesia. The Patient Health Questionnaire, Parental Authority Questionnaire, Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, and Path-SPSS analysis were employed to prove the hypothesis. The results show a significant direct effect of parenting [authoritative (β = -.257, p < .01), authoritarian (β = .181, p < .01) and permissive (β = .109, p < .01)] on depression. In addition, there is an indirect effect of authoritative (β = -.182, p < .01) and authoritarian (β = .055, p < .01) parenting styles on depression as mediated by self-esteem. The study indicates the importance of positive parenting and the building of adolescents' self-esteem to avoid the risk of depression.

Abstract

In the postnatal period, mothers face the challenge of adjusting to new roles and responsibilities, which can lead to increased stress and a risk of developing postpartum depression. This study explores the relationship between maternal characteristics, family functioning, social support, infant health, and postpartum depression. Data were obtained through a Family Function (Fungsi-Ga) questionnaire, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) from 150 mothers of three-month-old babies. The analysis was conducted using uses PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model). The research results show that the model of postnatal depression formed is fit (goodness of fit .252). Social support has direct (β= -.170) and indirect negative effects on postnatal depression through family functioning and babies’ health (β= -.186). The family function has a direct negative effect (β= -.395) and an indirect one through babies’ health on postnatal depression (β= -.280), while babies’ health has a negative effect on such depression (β= -.301). The results of the research imply that education for mothers on social support, family functioning, and how to care for newborns, which helps ensure that babies’ health is optimal, is critical in reducing the risk of postnatal depression, especially in the first three postnatal months.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of academic parenting, children's grades, and self-concept on motivation to continue higher education among high school and vocational high school students in Jababeka Industrial Estate, Bekasi Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory design on 120 high school and vocational school students and 120 student guardians. The research instrument used a questionnaire and was analyzed by correlation and SEM tests. The results of this study indicated that the variables of academic parenting, self-concept, and motivation to continue education are in the medium category, while the variable of children's values was in the low category. The results of the T-Test revealed that the motivation to continue their education of high school students was significantly different from vocational students; high school students had higher motivation. The correlation test between variables showed a significant positive relationship between academic parenting variables with self-concept and motivation to continue education. Influence analysis found a direct influence of academic parenting variables on self-concept and self-concept variables on motivation to continue education. The results of path analysis found that the academic parenting variable indirectly affects motivation to continue education, with the self-concept variable as a mediator. The implication of this research is to strengthen the self-concept of students in industrial areas through academic parenting and increase students' motivation to continue their education by forming a positive self-concept.

Abstract

The world of education needs to keep up with the development of information technology in providing learning services for students. One of the tools that is currently widely known for its advantages and widely used in developed countries is the electronic portfolio. The background of this program is a problem that is often faced by schools, namely the lack of teacher competence in developing learning by utilizing electronic portfolios in teaching. SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta (SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta), as one of the private schools in Yogyakarta that has a high concern for the application of information technology in learning, in collaboration with the Community Service Team of Ahmad Dahlan University carried out an electronic portfolio-based learning development training which was attended by teachers of various subjects and education staff who served in various school service units. The objective of this activity is to improve teachers' understanding and skills by using electronic portfolios to support the realization of quality learning. The methods used are training and mentoring for teachers to develop electronic portfolio- based learning, improving internet infrastructure, and monitoring and evaluation. This training has resulted in an increase in the trainees' understanding of the concept of electronic portfolios and the improvement of participants' skills as shown by a total of 43 participants who have been able to develop their electronic portfolios. To ensure the implementation of electronic portfolios in schools, the Principal has decided that six classes with IT (Information Technology) specialization consisting of two learning groups from Grade 7, Grade 8, and Grade 9 will implement electronic portfolio-based learning. The impact of this training is that teachers have a positive mindset towards the use of information technology so that it further increases the opportunity for schools to improve the quality of learning in accordance with technological developments.

Abstract

Bunga rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.)  dipercaya sebagai tanaman dengan khasiat diuretik yang dapat meningkatkan volume urine. Salah satu model pengujian diuretik dapat menggunakan tikus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian seduhan bunga rosella terhadap aktivitas diuretik pada tikus putih jantan galur wistar. Seduhan bunga rosella kering diberikan melalui peroral dengan sonde pada tikus. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental laboratorium dengan pengambilan data secara posttest only control group design. Tikus terbagi menjadi 5 kelompok (n=5 ekor/kelompok) yaitu kontrol negatif (Aquadest), kontrol positif (furosemid), dan 3 kelompok dengan dosis bertingkat seduhan bunga rosella (90 mg/KgBB, 180 mg/KgBB dan 360 mg/KgBB). Pengamatan aktivitas diuretik melalui volume urin tikus selama 6 jam. Dilakukan analisis data menggunakan SPSS Statistics Versi 25.0 metode uji One Way Anova (p <0,05) untuk melihat perbedaan rata-rata pada setiap kelompok uji dan dilanjutkan uji LSD (Least Significance Difference) dengan taraf kepercayaan 95% jika terdapat perbedaan bermakna. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa seduhan bunga rosella memiliki aktivitas diuretik terhadap tikus jantan galur wistar. Konsentrasi dosis seduhan bunga rosella memberikan pengaruh terhadap aktivitas diuretik tikus jantan galur wistar dengan dosis seduhan bunga rosella 180 mg/KgBB dan 360 mg/KgBB memberikan efek diuretik yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan furosemid.

Abstract

Berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter anak adalah proses panjang yang dilakukan di rumah dan selanjutnya dilakukan di sekolah sebagai lingkungan kedua pada anak usia prasekolah. Di era society 5.0, keterlibatan orangtua dalam mengasuh anak perlu diarahkan guna menguatkan karakter anak yang antara lain dilakukan melalui pembiasaan yang sehat bagi anak sejak dini. Metode sosialisasi yang dijalankan di rumah akan memberikan efek pada anak jika dilakukan melalui cara yang tepat, yaitu dengan memberikan teladan, memberikan penjelasan sesuai perkembangan kognitif anak, mendampingi anak, memberikan koreksi dan sanksi, pelatihan serta kesempatan terlibat dalam peristiwa sosial budaya di lingkungan rumah dan sekolah. Keterlibatan orangtua pada kegiatan sosial budaya di sekitar termasuk akses pada program stimulasi pengasuhan, baik yang diperoleh dari program pemerintah seperti Posyandu, BKB kelas pengasuhan, Puspaga, dan lain-lain ataupun dari media sosial dapat menjadi salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kapasitas orangtua di era society 5.0. Disamping itu, pemilihan orangtua pada pendidikan prasekolah berkualitas juga dapat menjadi salah satu solusi lain bagi terbentuknya karakter tangguh anak di masa datang. Pertanyaan terkait apakah kriteria yang menjadi prasyarat pada kualitas keluarga dan sekolah, sehingga dapat menjadi pembentuk disiplin sebagai karakter tangguh di era society 5.0 akan dibahas pada tulisan ini.
