Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of principal supervision and work motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection technique is a questionnaire given to 93 teachers who were chosen randomly as a sample using the census sampling method. The research was carried out, namely the respondents gave responses to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression and data processing using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program. Based on the results of the research, the principal's supervision affects the teacher's performance by 19.3%. Based on the results of the statistical test results of t work motivation on teacher performance, the t-count value is 2.733. Thus, t count is greater than t table (2.308 > 1.662) as shown in the table above, and the value is 0.023 < 0.05. Thus, t count is in the area where Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that partially the higher the level of work motivation, the performance of the teacher will increase. The results of research on work motivation show that work motivation affects teacher performance, meaning that the better the work motivation, the better the teacher's performance. This means that the principal's supervision and work motivation are important variables to improve teacher performance. The better the principal's supervision, work motivation, the better the teacher's performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how to use Instagram as a medium to teach students speaking skills and students' responses to Instagram treatment. This research is expected to be a reference for English teachers who have difficulty in teaching English and to encourage fluency for students and hope it will be useful for solving teacher problems. This research used a pre-experimental research design Because the researcher took one class as a sample so it will be in the form of an experimental one-group post-test. The data was gathered from 15 February 2024 til 18 February 2024 in the academic year 2023/2024. Based on the research results presented, it can be concluded that the use of Instagram Reels media is effective in improving students' speaking skills. This is supported by the increase in scores between the pre-test and post-test, which shows that the post-test scores are significantly higher than the pre-test scores. Data analysis using SPSS also shows that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which indicates that the use of Instagram Reels has a positive impact on students' speaking abilities. Overall, it can be concluded that the use of Instagram Reels media is an effective and recommended strategy for improving students' speaking skills, especially in school.

Abstract

Real Work Lectures (KKN) are community service activities that are expected to be part of empowerment and learning for students to see the true social reality of society. In this activity, students are required to interact and try to solve various problems that exist in society and look for potentials that can be explored or utilized so that it can become a sustainable activity. Real Work Lectures (KKN) are a forum for students to apply the knowledge gained from higher education in society. It is hoped that the implementation of KKN as a vehicle for community service can also develop students' practical abilities in absorbing skills that exist in society. So it is hoped that KKN will be able to help solve problems in society by optimizing existing resources. Real Work Lectures (KKN), which were born from the development process, are essentially the implementation of the national education philosophy, within the framework of the Tri Darma of Higher Education. One application of community service is manifested in Real Work Lectures (KKN) which will be held at the Mts Al-Barkah – Curug Foundation.

Abstract

Real Work Lecture Activities (KKN) are an important component of higher education programs which aim to apply students' knowledge, skills and attitudes in real contexts in society. This research aims to bring Palangka Raya University closer to the community, assist the government in improving the welfare of MSMEs, and increase community involvement in preventing stunting in toddlers. Apart from that, this activity aims to improve the level of education and skills of children, strengthen literacy understanding, and introduce the public to an understanding of livestock. The method used in this research is Descriptive Qualitative. The results of the research show positive Regular Thematic Real Work Lecture Activities aim to provide empirical experience to students in solving community problems and fulfilling thematic demands of the LPPM. As agents of change, students in Tambun Raya Village have the opportunity to interact directly with local social and environmental realities.

Abstract

Abstrak Taman penitipan anak merupakan salah satu bentuk pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) jalur non formal yang diarahkan pada kegiatan pengasuhan anak bagi orang tua yang mempunyai kesibukan bekerja. Semakin banyaknya lembaga penitipan anak tidak menjamin bahwa semua lembaga tersebut memberikan layanan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak dan mengikuti peraturan pemerintah, hal ini terbukti dengan adanya beberapa kasus negatif mengenai lembaga penitipan anak yang tersorot di media cetak dan televisi. Sehingga dirasa sangat perlu untuk dilakukan penelitian mengenai bagaimana layanan yang diberikan di lembaga penitipan anak. Pendekatan dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah koleksi data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model layanan yang diberikan di TPA ADNI Islamic English School Surabaya meliputi:(1) Layanan pengasuhan berupa kegiatan belajar dan bermain, pemberian makan dan susu, toileting dan istirahat yang dijadwalkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak. (2) Layanan pendidikan berupa kegiatan bermain dan belajar di dalam dan di luar ruangan dengan menggunakan APE dan sumber belajar yang telah disediakan, serta kegiatan pembentukan pembiasaan sikap sopan-santun, kemandirian dan tertib. (3) Layanan kesehatan berupa pemeriksaan gigi dan pemberian vitamin oleh pihak puskesmas, serta pemeriksaan kuku dan telinga oleh pengasuh. Serta pemeliharaan lingkungan dan sarana kegiatan yang digunakan selama kegiatan di TPA. Layanan gizi berupa pemberian makanan yang sesuai dengan gizi seimbang yang dibutuhkan anak. (4) Layanan sarana-prasarana berupa lingkungan belajar di luar dan di dalam ruangan, prasarana belajar berupa gedung milik sendiri dan ruang serbaguna yang bisa digunakan untuk bermain, belajar dan istirahat. Beberapa sarana penunjang seperti peralatan yang mendukung perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, serta saran belajar yang berupa APE Indoor dan Outdoor. Rekomendasi yang diberikan oleh peneliti terhadap hasil temuan di lapangan yaitu bagi pengelola hendaknya mengkonsultasikan menu makanan yang diberikan pada peserta didik kepada ahli gizi, menyediakan tenaga kebersihan supaya pengasuh bisa lebih fokus dalam kegiatan pengasuhan dan pembelajaran, menambah kegiatan pelatihan kepada pengasuh mengenai materi pembelajaran anak usia dini. Sedangkan bagi pengasuh hendaknya menyempatkan diri untuk mengikuti pelatihan, seminar, dan membaca buku terkait materi pembelajaran anak usia dini, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kompetensi yang dimiliki. Kata kunci: Model Layanan, dan Taman Penitipan Anak.

Abstract

Lack of student interest in learning can be a problem because it will affect the quality and results of learning. One solution that can be done to overcome low student interest in learning is by using animated video learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of animated video learning media on student interest in learning. This research data is pre-test and post-test data conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bukit Batu. Using quantitative research with experimental methods. The results of hypothesis testing conducted with the N-Gain score obtained results 0.7648> 0.7 which means the effectiveness is high. For N-Gain Percent the average value obtained is 76.4811> 76 which means effective. It is concluded that the use of animated videos can effectively increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the use of social media through learning motivation on increasing the learning achievement of Daarun Nahdhah Islamic Boarding School students. The research approach used is quantitative descriptive with data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Sampling used a saturated sample, where all members of the population were used as samples with a total of 90 students who did not live in the dormitory. The data analysis used in the research is Partial Least Square (PLS). The research results show that the use of social media has a direct and indirect effect on student learning achievement. This means that the better the use of social media which is used in a positive direction, the better and better learning achievement will be and the use of social media which is used in a positive direction will increase learning motivation so that student learning achievement will increase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar media gambar dapat Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Deskripsi Siswa kelas V Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada sekolah SD Negeri Nusukan Kota Surakarta. Penelitian ini berlangsung dalam 2 siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil antara siklus I dengan siklus II ada perubahan secara signifikan, hal ini ditandai dengan peningkatan jumlah siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Dengan melihat perbandingan hasil tes siklus I dan siklus II ada peningkatan yang cukup signifikan, Dari analisis data diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu 80,3 dengan persentase ketuntasan rata-rata 89% yang menunjukan peserta didik termasuk dalam kategori sangat terampil. Rata-rata peningkatan keterampilan menulis deskripsi peserta didik dari pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning (PBL) menggunakan media gambar dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa media gambar merupakan model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan oleh guru dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dimana model pembelajaran ini mempermudah pengertian/pemahaman siswa, memperjelas dan memperbesar bagian yang penting yang kecil sehingga dapat diamati, mempermudah pemahaman yang sifatnya abstrak, dan menimbulkan daya tarik pada diri siswa.

Abstract

This community service project conducted by the lecturers and students of STIE NU Trate Gresik in Morobakung Village, Manyar District, Gresik Regency, aimed to empower the local women’s group (PKK) through the utilization of used cooking oil as the raw material for producing aromatherapy candles. The project was initiated due to the lack of awareness and skills among the PKK members in managing used cooking oil, which is often disposed of improperly, causing environmental pollution and health risks. The community service activities were carried out in several strategic stages, including initial awareness-raising sessions, forum group discussions (FGDs), practical demonstrations of candle-making, and packaging design training using the Canva application. The novelty of this program lies in transforming used cooking oil into eco-friendly, high-value aromatherapy candles that align with modern lifestyle trends. After the program's implementation, the PKK members acquired the necessary skills to produce high-quality aromatherapy candles and create appealing packaging designs, which helped them to launch sustainable small-scale businesses. This project also contributed to raising environmental awareness and reducing the negative impact of waste oil on the environment. The results indicated significant improvements in the PKK members' environmental awareness and technical skills, particularly in producing, marketing, and packaging candles. The program has created new business opportunities, improved local economic conditions, and fostered sustainable environmental practices in the community. This community service initiative demonstrates a practical solution to environmental issues while empowering local women to enhance their economic independence.

Abstract

Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Kerandangan sebagai salah satu kawasan pelestarian alam yang dikelola oleh Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam NTB, memiliki potensi dan daya tarik sebagai salah satu objek wisata. TWA Kerandangan memiliki ekosistem dan komunitas alam yang masih terbilang alami serta unik dan indah dengan bentang alam serta potensinya yang dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu ODTWA. ODTWA dengan komponen utama berupa fasilitas dan aksesibilitas yang baik yang telah ada pada TWA Kerandangan juga menjadikannya memiliki nilai jual di pasar wisata. Meskipun demikian, TWA Kerandangan saat ini menghadapi tantangan karena sudah terlupakan oleh banyak orang sebagai tujuan wisata. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan obyek wisata dan daya tariknya di TWA Kerandangan agar dapat menentukan apakah layak untuk dijadiikan salah satu Daerah Tujuan Wisata (DTW). Selain itu, strategi-strategi perencanaan pengembangan juga perlu disusun untuk mengatasi tantangan ini dan meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan ke TWA Kerandangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dimana dilakukan observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci yaitu pihak pengelola Taman Wisata Alam Kerandangan yang kemudian dilakukan penilaian atau skoring menggunakan Pedoman ADO-ODTWA Dirjen PHKA 2003. Hasil penelitian dengan analisis ADO-ODTWA menunjukkan bahwa Taman Wisata Alam Kerandangan layak untuk dikembangkan sebagai destinasi ekowisata dengan hasil rekapitulasi indeks nilai kelayakan sebesar 95%. Namun, unsur keunikan sumber daya alam pada indikator daya tarik memerlukan perhatian lebih oleh pihak pengelola agar menjadi pioritas untuk mengembangkan kawasan Taman Wisata Alam Kerandangan menjadi destinasi ekowisata unggulan.
