Abstract

The teacher's role is very important in implementing the curriculum as well as in learning activities. Therefore, the activities carried out by the teacher need to be supervised or assisted so that the vision and mission of learning activities can be carried out properly. With the completion of academic supervision, it is hoped that there will be  real support for teachers in developing their abilities to achieve curriculum goals. This study aims to evaluate supervision activities which consist of three stages, starting from planning academic supervision, implementing academic supervision, and following up on academic supervision. The case study in this research is at MTs Plus Sabilunnajah which is in Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research at the planning stage have been carried out properly, the school principal carries out supervision planning by requesting the results of regular meetings. In the next stage, namely the implementation stage, the principal assesses every aspect of supervision starting from the suitability of the lesson plans with learning activities, learning processes, teacher performance, and classroom management by the teacher. From the results of the supervision implementation, it is known that there are some discrepancies between the RPP and the implementation of learning in the classroom. Another obstacle in the implementation of supervision is the schedule of supervision activities which are often delayed if the principal has an urgent need

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a crucial competency needed to face the challenges of the 21st century. This is because scientific skills can equip learners to tackle various challenges in the global era. Scientific literacy, which involves understanding information, scientific knowledge, and facts in daily life, is essential for students to better prepare them for the era of scientific advancement and technology utilization in the present and future. The research objective is to identify the needs and issues teachers and students face related to science literacy test instruments in the 5th grade. This study applies qualitative research methods with descriptive data analysis obtained from interviews and observations with 5th-grade teachers and distributing a needs questionnaire to students. The research found that teachers still need to get science literacy test instruments; they acknowledge the importance of these instruments to measure and enhance students' scientific literacy but are hindered by a lack of ability to develop such instruments. Teachers' test instruments are still basic and mainly focus on measuring aspects of science content. Most students also recognize the importance of scientific literacy. In conclusion, both teachers and students require science literacy test instruments to measure and enhance students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Tes memiliki peran penting sebagai teknik evaluasi pembelajaran khususnya dalam mengukur pemahaman. Scientific reasoning skillmenjadi salah satu kemampuan yang penting untuk dikembangkan di pendidikan abad 21. Untuk mengembangkan tes scientific reasoning skillberbasis inkuiri terintegrasi etnosains bagi calon guru sekolah dasar, penelitian ini fokus pada analisis kebutuhan. Analisis kebutuhan yang dianalisis mencakup dua aspek yaitu perspektif calon guru sekolah dasar terhadap pengembangan tes scientificreasoning skill berbasis inkuiri terintegrasi etnosains dan analisis penggunaan alat evaluasi pembelajaran sains oleh pendidik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Subjek penelitian adalah calon guru sekolah dasar yang berjumlah 50 responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan tahapan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 100% responden menyatakan bahwa adanya pengembangan tes scientific reasoning skillberbasis inkuiri terintegrasi etnosains sangat penting dilakukan sebagai bentuk pengembangan keterampilan calon guru sekolah dasar di abad 21. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi para pendidik sains dalam mengembangkan alat evaluasi yang relevan dengankebutuhan peserta didik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas dan reliabelnya suatu instrumen minat wirausaha siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Research and Development. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji validitas dengan rumus korelasi product moment. Uji reliabilitas dilakukan dengan rumus koefisien Alpha Cronbach. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sampel sebanyak 60 siswa SMP kelas VII. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa instrumen minat wirausaha siswa dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Dari hasil uji validitas didapatkan 15 pernyataan valid dan 2 pernyataan tidak valid. Hasil uji reliabilitas yaitu 0,795, hasil tersebut lebih dari 0,70 yang berarti bahwa kuesioner tersebut reliabel. Dari hasil uji validitas dan reliabilitas dapat disimpulkan bahwa kuesioner pada penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran analisis perlunya pengembangan model pembelajaran IPA terpadu mitigasi banjir pada siswa sekolah dasar (SD) untuk meningkatkan literasi lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan metode penelitian 3D (definisi, desain, pengembangan). Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti membatasi diri pada tahap definisi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket evaluasi kebutuhan guru sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru memerlukan model pembelajaran IPA terpadu mitigasi banjir bagi peserta didik Sekolah Dasar (SD) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi lingkungan. Hal ini berdasarkan data yang diperoleh bahwa 96,8% guru sangat setuju perlunya model pembelajaran mitigasi bencana banjir IPA terpadu bagi peserta didik Sekolah Dasar (SD) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menguji psikologi kognitif sebagai dasar pengembangan tes kemampuan dasar (TKD) membaca sains; (2) menentukan karakteristik TKD membaca sains yang dikembangkan; (3) menentukan kriteria penilaian dan cara menginterpretasikan hasil TKD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SD kelas 5 di kota Ungaran, kabupaten Semarang. Sampel ditentukan secara clustering random sampling, dengan ukuran 549 siswa. Instrumen berupa tes kemampuan dasar membaca, bertema Sains, berbentuk tes objektif 3 pilihan, sebanyak tiga buku tes. Analisis dilakukan dengan bantuan software microCat ITEMAN, BILOG, dan LISREL. Hasil penelitian berupa: (1) tiga buku tes TKD-membaca yang telah diketahui karakteristik soalnya dan (2) TKD-meter sebagai alat interpretasi hasil tes kemampuan dasar membaca. Karakteristik soal TKD-membaca meliputi indeks tingkat kesukaran (berada pada kategori mudah sampai sukar) dan indeks daya beda (berada pada kategori baik). TKD-meter yang dihasilkan terdiri atas empat level. Level I merupakan level terendah, dan level IV merupakan level tertinggi. Siswa berada pada level I, setara dengan kemampuan siswa kelas 3 SD. Siswa berada pada level II, setara dengan kemampuan siswa kelas 4 SD.Kata kunci: tes kemampuan dasar membaca, sains,  psikologi kognitif

Abstract

This study aims to examine the validity, reliability, and item characteristics of scientific literacy assessment instruments on cell material. The scientific literacy ability category includes identifying valid scientific arguments, evaluating the validity of a source, evaluating the use and misuse of scientific information, understanding research design elements and how they impact scientific findings, and reading and interpreting graphical representations of data. The research subjects were students of the 5th semester elementary school teacher education study program. The validity test included content validity using Aiken V validity index and construct validity using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Reliability test is carried out by looking for the price of the reliability coefficient r with correlation product moment test. The characteristic test is carried out by determining the level of difficulty and discriminating power. The results show that the scientific literacy assessment instrument on cell material is a valid instrument based on the analysis of content validity, construct validity, and item characteristics. Thus, the assessment instrument is suitable for use as an assessment instrument in research to measure students' scientific literacy in cell material.

Abstract

The Learning based on the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum allows students to be more independent in choosing their learning resources. Modern biotechnology practicum is often not carried out due to expensive tools and materials, and is usually incomplete. Teachers tend to only focus on the application of conventional biotechnology, and do not explore modern biotechnology. In addition, the science literacy skills of students in schools are still low, and there is no virtual laboratory learning media that can be used by students to improve understanding of modern biotechnology concepts for understanding biological technology innovation in CP phase F. This study aims to test the validity and openness test of STEM-based Lab Gene virtual laboratory learning media on modern biotechnology material. Data analysis was conducted to measure the validity and readability of the learning media. The results showed that the validity value of Lab Gene was declared valid with a value of 90.10% or including a very high category (very valid) by material experts and 83.75% or including a very high category (very valid) by media experts. Meanwhile, the results of media readability (rumpang analysis) by 9 students at SMAN 1 Sumber obtained 89.03% with a very good category. Based on the research results, it is known that the STEM-based Lab Gene virtual laboratory is said to be valid and has good readability. Lab Gene virtual laboratory learning media is feasible to be implemented in schools to improve students’ science literacy.

Abstract

Textbooks based on local potential of plantae material can be used to improve the science literacy of students at the junior high school. The aim of this study is to analysis validity and readability of textbooks based on local potential to improve student’s science literacy. Data analysis was carried out to obtain scores of validation results by material experts and media experts as well as the readability of textbooks by students in small-scale trials. The results of expert validation questionnaire showed an average score for the aspects of material feasibility and media feasibility were 93.36% and 89.29% with a very valid category. The readability test results showed that the textbook had an average score of 71% with understandable criteria. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that textbooks based on local potential of plantae material can be used in student learning. This research contributes to the availability of textbooks based on local potential of plantae material. The research has implications for educational practitioners to help improve students’ science literacy.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture has changed the national assessment strategy from the National Examination to the Minimum Competency Assessment, Character Survey, and Environmental Survey to address the decline in Indonesia’s PISA ranking. This issue needs to be addressed by implementing a technology-based model that can be applied in education to help students develop scientific literacy skills and character in preparation for AKM and PISA. One of the recommended learning models today is the student-centered learning model, which requires students to actively participate in the learning process, such as Problem-Based Learning with Blended Learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the blended PBL model in ecosystem material in enhancing students’ scientific literacy and Pancasila student character in the experimental class and to assess the implementation of the PBL model with Blended Learning. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The research design used is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Kramat, with the research subjects being students from classes X1, X5, X6, and X8.The results showed a significant increase in scientific literacy and Pancasila student character in the experimental class where the blended PBL model was applied to the ecosystem material. The implementation of the blended PBL model was successfully carried out, as evidenced by positive student responses, with 68.86% of the questionnaire scores falling into the good category. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of the blended PBL model in ecosystem material effectively improves students’ scientific literacy and character can be successfully implemented.
