Abstract

The rapid development of the times, including in the world of education, requires innovation in learning. One of the innovations that can be made is related to teaching materials and collaborating with ethnoscience. Ethnoscience is a learning that integrates culture into it as part of the learning process. The writing of this article aims to find out the research trends of ethnoscience-laden teaching materials in IPAS subjects in elementary schools. The research method used is a systematic literature review (SLR). The analysis was conducted on 15 articles indexed by Google Scholar from 2020 to 2025. The results showed that (1) The trend of research on ethnoscience-based teaching materials continues to increase every year, (2) The university that conducts the most research on ethnoscience-based teaching materials is Mataram University, (3) The learning model applied in the research is problem-based learning (PBL) and project-based learning (PjBL), (4) There are various cognitive abilities of students that can be developed with ethnoscience-loaded teaching materials, (4) IPAS material that dominates in research is human digestion material, heat transfer, and motion and force, (5) Making ethnoscience-loaded teaching materials is developed through various applications or software.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar digital interaktif menggunakan Canva pada materi energi untuk peserta didik tunarungu yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan model pengembangan 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu 5 peserta didik kelas XI Tunarungu di SLB Negeri Semarang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Pengembangan bahan ajar digital interaktif menggunakan Canva ini menyesuaikan kondisi anak tunarungu dengan karakteristik yang didasarkan pada konten visual dan bersifat interaktif. Hasil kevalidan dari bahan ajar diperoleh persentase sebesar 86% dengan kategori valid dan hasil kepraktisan diperoleh persentase sebesar 82% oleh guru dan 79% oleh peserta didik dengan kategori praktis. Keefektifan dari bahan ajar yang dianalisis menggunakan effect size memperoleh nilai sebesar 1,78 dengan kategori very large effect. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar digital interaktif menggunakan Canva pada materi Energi layak dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran oleh guru dan peserta didik tunarungu dan memiliki efek yang sangat besar (very large effect) yang ditimbulkan pada hasil belajar peserta didik tunarungu.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between students’ learning interest andtheir civic skills in the Civic Education (PPKn) course among tenth-grade Culinary2 students at SMK MVP Ars International, using a quantitative correlationalapproach. The results show that 57.2 % of students fall into the “good” to “very good”category for learning interest, while 72.6 % achieve “good” to “very good” levels incivic skills. A correlation coefficient of r = 0.50 (p = 0.003 < 0.05) indicates amoderately strong positive relationship, with learning interest accounting for 25 %of the variance in civic skills (r² = 0.25). These findings confirm that the higherstudents’ interest and engagement in Civic Education, the more effectively their civicskills develop. The practical implications of this study support the adoption ofcontextualized learning strategies, project-based learning, and interactive media, aswell as the involvement of parents and community leaders to reinforce the material’srelevance.

Abstract

In this era of information and globalization, English has become a very importantlanguage. However, to master English, it is necessary to understand the fouraspects of English language skills consists of 4 main elements, namely reading,writing, speaking, and listening. Reading and listening include understanding orinput while speaking and writing include the product or output of the English learningprocess. Writing is a difficult skill to learn, because writing should understandinggrammar. Mastery of grammar is one of the important aspects in learning English,especially in writing skills. One of the common obstacles experienced by studentsis the auxiliary verbs such as 'to be' and 'to do'. This encourages researchers to findout the errors by students and the factors that became the cause of students' errorsin using 'to be' and 'to do'. Researchers also use cloze test as the instrument.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills are essential competencies in the21st century. There is a growing perspective that these two thinking skills can bedeveloped simultaneously. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationshipbetween critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills in the IPAS (Science,Environment, Technology, and Society) subject among elementary school students.This research uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach and employstests as the data collection technique. The test instruments are divided into twotypes: a two-tier multiple-choice test to measure critical thinking skills, which wasdeveloped based on four indicators—focus, reason, inference, and situation; and anessay test to measure creative thinking skills, with indicators including fluency,elaboration, flexibility, and originality. The population of this study consists of allsixth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Jambu Ilir, with one class totaling 34 students.The correlation test results indicate a relationship between critical thinking skills andcreative thinking skills. The regression coefficient result shows a value of 0.551,indicating that critical thinking skills influence 55% of creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the traditional cooperative game “Tiga Jadi” on students’ solidarity and social interaction at SMP Negeri 1 Pabelan. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving non-equivalent control and experimental groups. A total of 72 seventh-grade students were selected through purposive sampling, divided into an experimental group (class VII-E) and control group (class VII-B). The treatment was applied through the integration of the ‘Tiga Jadi’ game in two Social Studies subject (IPS) class meetings, focusing on the topic of social mobility. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire, and analayzed using independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups. The experimental group demonstrated higher mean scores in both solidarity and social interaction compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the structured and role-based nature of the ‘Tiga Jadi’ game effectively enchances students’ social skills, communication, and empathy. Therefore, traditional games such as ‘Tiga Jadi’ can be recommended as innovative learning strategies to support the development of character education aligned with Pancasila Student Profile. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of deep learning on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design was used. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into experimental and control classes. Data were collected through a 15-item multiple-choice test administered as a pretest and posttest. Results showed a significant difference between the posttest scores of the experimental and control groups. The experimental class achieved an average posttest score of 94.60, higher than the control class average of 86.05. The t-test revealed a significance value of 0,001 (p < 0.05), with an effect size (Cohen's d) of 1.15, indicating a high level of effectiveness. Thus, deep learning is proven effective in enhancing students' IPAS learning outcomes.

Abstract

5E learning cycle strategy was students center oriented learning model. The learning process becomes more meaningful, which are prioritized authentic experience of students, made students become actively participating, able to critical thinking skills and creatively. The phases of the learning cycle 5E consist of engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and evaluation. The purpose of the research was increased learning motivation and conceptual understanding improved by discovery learning due to the 5E learning cycle strategy. The research was conducted at SMA Teuku Umar Semarang. The research has used a qualitative approach. The type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The data analysis technique used a percentage of the learning motivation and the students' understanding concept. The percentage applied discovery learning by both of the first  CAR cycle is 78% and the second CAR cycle is 92%. The conceptual understanding was shown better in the second CAR cycle. The effectiveness discovery learning can be interpreted from the normalized gain. The score of the normalized gain is 0.52. The category of the normalized gain is a medium gain. Students' motivation was increased by both the first cycle is 62%  and the second cycle is 82%.  Based on the decision of the research, it can be concluded that the 5E learning cycle process can influence increased students learning motivation and students understanding the concept not only heat concept but also heat transfer concept

Abstract

The debate in the making of critical thinking evaluation tests among researchers and practitioners still exists. Problems come from definition and aspects segmentation which represents critical skills to be measured. According to the problems, the specific critical thinking instruments to physics content such as momentum are still hard to find. The instrument of critical thinking can support the learning evaluation to improve the critical power of Pre-Service. This study aims to develop the instrument of momentum critical thinking (MCT) test for Pre-service teachers. The MCT consisted of 8 questions representing 17 objective items. Based on the content validity test, it obtained a total percentage of 81.25% with the eligibility criteria. The reliability test demonstrated by the result of 28 pre-service teacher tests. The MCT instrument which tested was 17 objective items. The reliability test’s results showed Cronbach's alpha value of 0.716 with a high category. Research findings show that the CTM test can be used to measure the CT-specific domain of pre-service teachers in momentum, and relevant material for the consideration of university preparation for pre-service teacher learning in the 21st century

Abstract

Critical and creative thinking skills are part of the High-Order Thinking Skills required by the Independent Curriculum and 21st century education. It is hoped that students will be able to analyze, evaluate, and create creative solutions in learning, especially in science subjects at the high school level. The purpose of this study is to produce problem-based learning tools on temperature and heat materials to improve the critical and creative thinking skills of valid high school students, to find out the practicality and effectiveness of problem-based learning tools on temperature and heat materials to improve the critical thinking and creative thinking skills of high school students. This research is development research. Data collection through tests, observations, questionnaires and documentation. The development model used is 3-D (Define, Design, Develop) which includes the stages of definition, design, and development. The tools developed consist of syllabuses, lesson plans, worksheets, student teaching materials, and learning outcome tests. The trial was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Kudus in the experimental class and the control class. Validation by three validators showed an average score: 3.51 syllabus; Learning Implementation Plan 3.73; student worksheet 3.73; Student Achievement 3.54; Critical Thinking Observation Sheet 3.71; and creativity 3.67 out of a maximum score of 4. The learning outcome test is declared valid, balanced in difficulty, well distinguished, and reliable. Practicality is shown from the teacher's response (average 4.60) and the teacher's ability to manage learning (average 4.59). Effectiveness was shown by an increase in the learning outcomes of experimental students, critical thinking skills by 79%, and creativity by 54%. These devices are proven to be valid, practical, and effective.
