Abstract

This study aims to examine whether the implementation of the New Student Admission (Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru [PPDB]) policy promotes equitable access to quality education in Indonesia. Using National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas, 2015–2021) data, the study assesses changes in student mobility from low socioeconomic backgrounds, transportation costs to school, and participation of students with disabilities. Schoollevel National Examination scores from 2015 to 2019 were analyzed to assess changes in the distribution of learning outcomes before and after PPDB implementation. The findings indicate that PPDB has expanded access for students from low socioeconomic backgrounds by increasing enrollment in public schools and reducing transportation costs through proximity-based admissions. Disparities in learning outcomes across schools have narrowed over time; however, this reduction is primarily attributable to declining performance in previously high-performing schools rather than significant improvements in low-performing schools. Although PPDB provides a pathway for students with disabilities to enter public schools, its effectiveness in promoting disability inclusion remains limited, as school readiness and accessibility have not improved significantly. The results suggest that PPDB contributes to greater equity in access, but its success in sustaining learning quality and inclusive education requires complementary policies targeting school capacity, teacher preparedness, and inclusive infrastructure.

Abstract

This paper presents a comparative analysis of two adaptive filtering algorithms, namely Least Mean Square (LMS) and Recursive Least Square (RLS), for denoising electrocardiogram (EKG) signals contaminated with Gaussian noise. A five-second EKG signal was extracted from a PhysioNet database and artificially corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise. The noisy signal was then processed using both LMS and RLS filters, where parameter tuning was applied to each algorithm to optimize performance. The evaluation metrics used in this study include Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). Experimental results demonstrate that the LMS filter achieved its best performance at a learning rate (μ) of 0.01, resulting in an MSE of 0.1218 and an SNR of 4.18 dB. In contrast, the RLS filter provided superior results with a forgetting factor (λ) of 0.99, achieving an MSE of 0.1179 and an SNR of 4.32 dB. These findings indicate that while RLS outperforms LMS in terms of signal recovery accuracy, LMS remains advantageous in computational simplicity and is more suitable for real-time applications. The comparative analysis suggests that the choice between LMS and RLS should consider the trade-off between denoising performance and computational efficiency, especially in portable or embedded biomedical devices.

Abstract

Initial information on spore populations of pathogenic fungi is needed to anticipate opportunities for rice disease to develop in swamps and to take early steps in disease control efforts. Disease control by suppressing the initial inoculum and its rate of development has a high chance of success and is preventive. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the diversity of fungal spore populations in the air using spore traps in the swamp rice agroecosystem of Central Kalimantan. The research was carried out in the 2021 planting season at the swamp rice production center, namely Blanti Siam, Central Kalimantan. The study of the diversity of the fungal spore population was carried out in a display location of 14 ha of rice varieties and 66 ha of rice demfarm. For the display of rice varieties, 14 spore traps were installed, while at the demfarm location, 22 spore traps were installed. Observations of spore traps were carried out 4 times starting from nursery/tillage and continued for each stage of rice plant growth. Identification of fungal pathogens was carried out based on the morphological characteristics of the spores/conidia with the aid of a microscope. The results of the identification of the spore trap on the display of rice varieties and rice demfarm obtained spores of Rhizopus sp., Helminthosporium sp., Fusarium sp., Pyricularia oryzae, Alternaria sp., Cercosporella sp., and nematodes. Helminthosporium sp. found to be very dominant in both locations. Pyricularia oryzae was obtained in very low quantities. This is related to the low rate of blast disease at the location of rice display and rice demfarm. Fusarium sp., Alternaria sp., Cercosporella sp., and nematodes were found to be very low in spore traps.

Abstract

The agriculture industry has proliferated in the last decades, increasing the environmental footprint. Several development concepts include integrating the ecological aspect into the supply chain to reduce environmental degradation. In implementing the idea, companies in the agriculture industry need to evaluate their performance in the environmental area. This measurement uses the Green Supply Chain Operations Reference (GSCOR) Model that provides its entire supply chain aspect. This study demonstrates that the enable parameter criterion, which shows the magnitude of employee management toward environmental requirements, significantly impacts supply chain performance. Other criteria are also critical, such as a plan that considers every entity's usage and a source that considers the supply of the entities. The performance measurement produces a 6.357 value in the yellow color category with an average condition in the company. It produces three key performance indicators (KPI), such as water usage, percentage hazardous materials in inventory, and percentage hazardous waste, with a red classification that should be improved.

Abstract

In distributing 3kg LPG to the public, PT Mitra Asahan Always Jaya has 51 permanent base partners with various contracts and different quota amounts. Currently subsidized 3kg LPG agents are not permitted to sell subsidized 3kg LPG directly to consumers. With a working area with a very large number of requests from each agent, this is due to the large number of base partners having food trading businesses, not to mention having to meet the demand for household gas, micro businesses and retailers. so that the distribution chain at PT Mitra Asahan Always Jaya, Simpang Empat District, has an erratic demand, the gas distribution system to bases is uneven and not fulfilled due to the gas order management data not being well structured, bases are unable to order gas faster than usual. because the gas quota stock at PT Mitra Asahan Always Jaya, Simpang Empat District, is insufficient, this is due to the lack of management analysis in the gas supply at the base. Many bases have made gas orders, but officers in the field do not communicate to management about the gas requirements actually needed by the base, so that distributors or bases sometimes have to bear losses due to running out of stock

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explain the role of mediation in solving sharia economy dispute as civilization toward ethical value of Islam. That it has been practiced since Rasulullah SAW era was through many ways such as shulh, tahkim, and qadha. This study uses qualitative method and data collection is got from observation, direct interview to justice, attorney, lawyer, mediator, and the disputants. Based on the result of the study above is known that the role of mediation in solving sharia economy dispute as civilization toward ethical value of Islam is important and needs to be optimalized. According to Rasulullah SAW teaching, in fact, in a practice, there is failure of mediation in solving sharia economy dispute because the disputants feel that they are right and want to win finally by litigation way with consent or default judgment. Otherwise, mediation practice gives benefits for the disputants and based on Indonesian culture and civilization because solving dispute through mediation can be solved fast, correctly, and cheaply, thus it does not take much energy, time, and thought. In a result,  it can keep privacy, beneficial for parties, and harmless with the result made by parties themselves, that is “win-win solution”. In ethical value of Islam in solving sharia economic dispute, firstly, by al-shulh (peace). Peace in islam is recommended because if there is peace among disputants, they will avoid from hostility. If it does not work, it can be passed by al-tahkim (arbitration) and if it gets stuck, Islam teaches us by al-qadha (Court Process).

Abstract

This community service program addressed high feed costs and the underutilization of crop and slaughter by-products among goat-keeping households in Tanah Laut Regency, Indonesia, by introducing fermented complete feed made from corn cobs and hygienically processed bovine rumen digesta. The program aimed to strengthen farmer self-reliance while reducing open burning and the disposal of residues through a participatory action approach that iteratively combined co-design, hands-on training, on-farm application, evaluation, and refinement. Activities included orientation on feed management and waste-related issues, group mentoring on planning and record-keeping, practical production sessions using locally available inputs, and a thirty-day feeding trial on partner farms. Product quality was supported by simple process control and laboratory proximate analysis, which indicated a semi-dry fermented feed with moderate protein and high carbohydrate content, as is typical of upgraded crop residues. Goats readily consumed the feed, and farmers consistently reported improved appetite and palatability during the trial. Post-training surveys found that seventy-five percent of participants could independently reproduce the fermentation process and integrate it into routine management. Overall, the program demonstrated that converting corn cobs and rumen contents into fermented feed is feasible and acceptable at the farm level, supports skill adoption, and contributes to a zero-waste pathway. Follow-up monitoring will focus on batch consistency, spoilage prevention, feed intake, weight gain, and feed efficiency to document sustained impacts.
