Abstract

The Phanerochaete chrysosporium ITB isolate can form a biofilm when grown on a support material, in which the attached cells are in a sessile state, which allows the cells to thrive better compared to other conditions. This study uses the Taguchi model to explore the ligninase (LiP, MnP, and laccase) production by P. chrysosporium ITB isolates immobilized on polypropylene (PP). This research was carried out in a laboratory experimental manner, which consisted of stages that included the preparation of spore suspension and optimization of conditions for the production of ligninase using Taguchi. The results showed that lignin peroxidase (LiP) and laccase (420.1 and 78.69 U/mg) enzymes were optimally produced using an inoculum size of 5 × 103 spore/mL, with a growth duration of 6 d at pH 3 and required 0.4 g/mL of PP to yield a 0.36% biofilm weight. The optimal production of MnP (410.23 U/mg) warranted an inoculum size of 5 × 102 spore/mL with incubation of 4 d at pH 5, and immobilization on 0.20 g/mL PP, to give a final biofilm weight of 0.09%. These results indicate a potential LiP and laccase production by the biofilm of P. chrysosporium on the polypropylene as supporting materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest dan kelompok kontrol. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Tunas Bangsa Bandung Barat. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes berpikir kritis yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji N-gain menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor N-gain pada kelas eksperimen mencapai 81% dan termasuk dalam kategori efektif, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 1,83% dan termasuk dalam kategori tidak efektif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model Discovery Learning dapat direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu pendekatan yang efektif dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a repeated cycle process including denaturation, annealing and extension using the DNA polymerase enzyme. This identification method is based on specific DNA which increases the number of DNA strands millions of times. The aim of this study was to identify and classify phenolic group compounds in traditional food spices that have the potential to inhibit DNA polymerase and their mechanism of action in the PCR process. The observation made was the Literature Review study as an analytical test method regarding the study of DNA polymerase inhibition by phenolic group compounds in traditional food spices in the PCR process. The results of this study were analyzed from several appropriate literature studies showing that most of the spices in traditional foods contain secondary metabolites of phenolic group compounds. These compounds have been shown to inhibit DNA polymerase in the PCR process, one of the mechanisms is to bind to the active site of DNA polymerase which causes decreased activity and deactivates DNA polymerase. Moreover, it can degrade and denaturate DNA polymerase. This makes it difficult to identify haram substances in processed food products using PCR.

Abstract

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) dan intellectual capital telah menjadi pertimbangan strategis dalam meningkatkan kinerja keuangan perusahaan, khususnya di sektor transportasi. Di sisi lain, investasi hijau semakin diakui sebagai variabel yang berpotensi memoderasi keterkaitan antara inisiatif lingkungan dan hasil keuangan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh SDGs dan intellectual capital terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan transportasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2019 hingga 2024, serta menguji peran investasi hijau sebagai variabel moderasi dalam hubungan tersebut. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan menerapkan analisis regresi linier berganda dan uji moderasi. Kinerja keuangan dianalisis dalam kaitannya dengan implementasi SDGs dan intellectual capital, baik secara langsung maupun melalui interaksi dengan investasi hijau sebagai variabel moderasi. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan berdasarkan nilai probabilitas (p-value) dan nilai t-statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDGs berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan. Sebaliknya, intellectual capital dan investasi hijau tidak menunjukkan pengaruh langsung yang signifikan. Selain itu, investasi hijau juga tidak mampu memoderasi hubungan antara SDGs dan kinerja keuangan maupun antara intellectual capital dan kinerja keuangan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa implementasi SDGs memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Namun demikian, intellectual capital dan investasi hijau belum menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan, baik secara langsung maupun sebagai variabel moderasi dalam konteks penelitian ini.

Abstract

The development of students' scientific writing skills remains a significant challenge in vocational high schools, where conventional teaching materials often fail to accommodate students' technological learning preferences. This study aims to analyze the needs for developing web-based teaching materials to enhance the scientific writing skills of eleventh-grade vocational students. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model framework, this study involved two vocational school teachers and sixty eleventh-grade students in Bandung, Indonesia. Data were collected through teacher interviews and student questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively. The findings revealed that 63% of students experienced difficulties in scientific writing due to limited understanding of formal writing techniques, structuring arguments, and lack of digital learning resources. Teachers indicated the necessity for contextualized and interactive web-based learning platforms that align with the differentiated learning approach of the Curriculum Merdeka. Furthermore, over 80% of students expressed a preference for digital and interactive learning environments to improve their engagement and writing competence. The study concludes that the development of web-based portable-E teaching materials is essential to bridge the gap between students' needs and current teaching practices. The proposed innovation not only addresses students' difficulties in writing but also promotes independent learning, enhances digital literacy, and supports the achievement of curriculum goals. These findings offer valuable insights for future instructional material design and educational technology integration in vocational education contexts.

Abstract

This research aimed to ascertain the impact of alkaline lignin of teak sawdust on the synthesis of ligninase and decolorization of Reactive Black 5 (RB5) by M. thermophilia KLUM1, also to elucidate the mechanism of mycoremediation. This research was conducted within the cultivation of the spore suspension in a co-culture setting. The RB5 dye percentage decolorization and ligninase activity were produced by varying the addition of alkaline lignin. The results show that the addition of 0.5% alkaline lignin accelerates the production of ligninase in the Kirk medium. However, adding more than 0.5% alkaline lignin does not affect the highest amount of ligninase produced. The increase in RB5 dye decolorization by M. thermophila KLUM1 is proportional to the increase in alkaline lignin in the medium. The percentage of wood-rot fungi decolorization in Kirk medium with and without lignin with the addition of 0.5%, 1%, and 2% lignin on the 10th day was 26.29%, 29.51%, 34.74%, and 40.43%, respectively. The decolorization process of RB5 by M. thermophilia KLUM1 in Kirk medium with alkaline lignin occurs through several mechanisms, i.e., enzymatic degradation, adsorption by the growing mycelia, and alkaline lignin present in the medium.

Abstract

Dengue fever in Indonesia is still classified as a serious disease because it has increased yearly from 2011 to 2013. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of various types of water in the queue as a trap for eggs of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in Bukittinggi. This type of research is experimental. The test used is the Anova test because the data is not normal using the Mann-Whitney test. The research sample used a sampling technique. This study uses primary data which can be seen from the number of trapped Aedes Aegypti mosquito eggs. The results showed that between the straw bales using well water and mineral water, the p-value was (0.421)> ɑ (0.05), meaning that there was no difference between the straw-soaked line with well water and water mineral. Meanwhile, after a statistical test was carried out between the straw bales using mineral water and rainwater, the p-value was (0.008)> ɑ (0.05), (Ho was rejected, Ha was accepted), meaning that there was a difference between the straw-soaked anthers and mineral water and rainwater. Based on the results of various types of attractants on the number of Aedes aegypti mosquito eggs trapped in the applied science laboratory of the University of Fort De Kock, Bukittinggi, the straw-soaked extract with rainwater is more effective because it produces more eggs than the extract soaked in straw with well water and extract soaked in straw with mineral water.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam mengenal huruf dan menggabungkan kata sehingga mempengaruhi keterampilan siswa dalam membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penggunaan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian mix methods yang dilakukan kepada siswa kelas II dengan jumlah 32 orang. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan lembar pretest, posttest, angket respon siswa, wawancara guru, dan observasi guru. Kemudian hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji n gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan membaca dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) adapun hasil rata-rata pretest adalah 61,72 dan posttest adalah 87,65. berdasarkan hasil data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan membaca siswa dengan proses pembelajaran menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC).

Abstract

Scientific publications are one of the requirements for student graduation. The importance of scientific publications for students is that they can be used as a portfolio to apply for a job or get a scholarship. However, in publishing an article that is "good science", students still have difficulty analyzing data using several data processing software programs. The purpose of this community service is to provide data processing application training to students to accelerate Scopus and Web of Science (WoS)-indexed publications. The method used was in the form of tiered training attended by 46 students. Data analysis was carried out with a qualitative and quantitative approach using Kirkpatrick's Level 1 and Level 2 evaluation models. The results of this training, in addition to getting a positive satisfaction response from the participants on the training material provided, also gained a fairly good understanding of the training material provided, with a high average task value for each training above 75.

Abstract

Dibalik keindahan alam Indonesia tersimpan suatu risiko bagi Masyarakat kepulauan akan bahaya bencana. Masyarakat keupualauan sering disebut sebagai masyarakat yang jauh, tertinggal dan terbelakang dari peradaban, akibat letaknya yang jauh dari peradaban kota, tidak hanya tertinggal informasi, bahkan pemutakiran data terkait wilayah rentan bencana seringkali tidak optimal. Program edukasi berbasis pendekatan masyarkat dikepulauan dilakukan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyrakata dalam menghadapi potensi bencana di kepulauan. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test rata-rata pengetahuan tentang kerentanan meningkat sebanyak 9% dari 84,7% menjadi 94,10%, pada pengetahuan tentang ancaman meningkat sebanyak 28,2% dari 45,90% menjadi 74,10%, sedangkan pada pengetahuan tentang mitigasi meningkat sebanyak 23,6% dari 62,90% menjadi 86,50%. Hasil dari identifikasi yang telah dilakukan adalah kerentanan yang dapat dilihat dari beberapa faktor, yakni faktor fisik, faktor sosial, faktor ekonomi dan faktor lingkungan. Sedangkan potensi ancaman bencana yang teridentifikasi adalah bencana kebakaran pemukiman, banjir, gelombang pasang, gempa bumi dan tsunami. Kemampuan mitigasi masyarakat kepulauan masih kurang dan perlu dilakukan peningkatan.
