Abstract

Abstract: The family planning (KB) program aims to regulate the birth of children, the distance between births, and the ideal age for giving birth through promotion, protection, and assistance according to reproductive rights to create quality families (BKKBN, 2015). One of the birth control methods is the 3-month injectable contraceptive, which is effective and long-acting (Affandi, 2013). This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of using injectable contraception for 3 months and the increase in weight of acceptors at the Independent Practice of Midwife Arta Pekanbaru. The method used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach to explore this phenomenon. The research population was all 3-month injection acceptors at that place, namely 115 people, with a sample of 89 respondents taken by accidental sampling. Data was collected using a checklist sheet from the respondent's family planning card and analyzed by distribution using the chi-square test and obtained a p-value = 0.003. The results of the chi-square test showed a significant value (p-value = 0.003<0.05), indicating a relationship between the duration of using injectable contraception for 3 months and an increase in the acceptor's weight. Abstract

Singkong (Manihot esculenta Crantz) merupakan makanan pokok penting bagi sekitar 800 juta orang, terutama di wilayah tropis, dengan peningkatan produksi global sekitar 100 juta ton sejak tahun 2000. Di Indonesia, konsumsi singkong yang meningkat turut menghasilkan limbah kulit singkong, yang umumnya dibuang atau digunakan sebagai pakan ternak bernilai ekonomi rendah. Pembuangan yang tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan dan emisi gas metana. Kulit singkong, dengan kandungan pati mencapai 36%, memiliki potensi sebagai media alternatif pertumbuhan mikroorganisme yang lebih murah dibandingkan media komersial seperti Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah kulit singkong sebagai media pertumbuhan Rhizopus oligosporus Saito, jamur yang digunakan dalam fermentasi pangan dan mampu menghasilkan metabolit sekunder bernilai tinggi. Maka dibutuhkan pengembangan media alternatif yang efisien dan ramah lingkungan untuk pertumbuhan mikroba. Metode penelitian meliputi karakterisasi R. oligosprus Saito, persiapan inokulum, pembuatan bubuk pati kulit singkong, serta optimasi konsentrasi pati kulit singkong, glukosa, dan pH media menggunakan fermentasi substrat cair (SmF). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa R. oligosprus Saito dapat tumbuh pada media alternatif berbasis kulit singkong dengan kondisi optimum pada 40 g/L pati kulit singkong, 10 g/L glukosa, dan pH 6 – 6.5. Penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi kulit singkong sebagai sumber karbon yang ekonomis dan ramah lingkungan, sekaligus mendukung pengembangan produk bioteknologi berbasis limbah organik.

Abstract

Abstrak Keterampilan menulis cerpen merupakan kompetensi penting yang perlu dimiliki mahasiswa PGSD dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran literasi yang kreatif dan bermakna di sekolah dasar. Namun, kemampuan menulis mahasiswa masih relatif rendah, yang diduga berkaitan dengan rendahnya motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan kemampuan menulis cerpen mahasiswa PGSD. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel terdiri dari 40 mahasiswa semester 3 PGSD di salah satu perguruan tinggi di Kota Cimahi yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket motivasi belajar dan tes menulis cerpen. Data dianalisis melalui uji normalitas, uji linearitas, korelasi Pearson, dan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan menulis cerpen (r = 0,944; sig. < 0,01). Hasil regresi menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar memberikan kontribusi sebesar 89,1% terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen mahasiswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi motivasi belajar mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula kemampuan mereka dalam menulis cerpen. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mengarah pada pentingnya penguatan motivasi belajar melalui strategi pembelajaran yang kontekstual, reflektif, dan menyenangkan. Abstract

Siwalan fiber waste (SFW) has the potential as a source of lignin (7-25%) which is used as a green inhibitor to inhibit the corrosion rate of low carbon steel (LCS). The aims of this study were: (1) determine the optimum conditions (types of HCl and H2SO4, Cinhibitor and Cmedia, inhibition temperature, and coating time) for LCS coating process using the inhibitory method using lignin extract from SFW, and (2) knowing the resistance of LCS coated with inhibitor at optimum conditions. Empirical research through laboratory experiments explains the relation between variables by analyzing numerical data. 185g of SFW produced 52.289g (28.26%) fine brown powder. IR spectrum analysis on extract showed the wavelength was almost the same as the standard. IR spectrum analysis was also carried out on the extracted compounds that were adsorbed, and the absorption peaks confirmed the presence of lignin in the adsorbed compounds. Based on the results of the analysis of the weighing data of the specimen before and after inhibition, the inhibitor concentration of 0.2–0.3 g/L in H2SO4 at 313K is the optimum condition to suppress the corrosion rate on the surface of LCS by 76.2%.

Abstract

The process of mastering Arabic memorization with the dawn mufradat method for students at the Babussalam Batu Korong Islamic Boarding School is still not effective. Various efforts made by Ustadzah to improve the memorization of Arabic for students continue to be made, but not a few students find it difficult to memorize Arabic vocabulary so that various methods are needed to improve the memorization of Arabic for students. Arabic memorization is one of the processes of storing various Arabic vocabulary in memory and can be repeated without looking at the notes. While the subuh mufradat method is one of the methods used in the process of memorizing Arabic vocabulary and the process is carried out after the dawn prayer. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method, the data collection used is observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study is that the application of the dawn mufradat method is fairly effective, this is evidenced by the improvement of the memorization ability of students from pre-cycle to cycle II. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of the average score of the students was 63, in the first cycle the percentage of the average score was 72, while in the second cycle it increased to 80. So the researcher draws the conclusion that this study can be said to be successful. [Proses penguasaan hafalan bahasa arab dengan metode mufradat subuh bagi santriwati di pondok pesantren babussalam batu korong masih kurang efektif. Berbagai upaya dilakukan Ustadzah untuk meningkatkan hafalan Bahasa Arab santriwati terus dilakukan, namun tak sedikit santriwati yang merasa kesulitan dalam menghafal kosakata Bahasa Arab sehingga diperlukan berbagai metode untuk meningkatkan hafalan Bahasa Arab santriwati. Hafalan bahasa arab adalah salah satu proses menyimpanan berbagai kosa kata yang berbahasa arab dalam ingatan dan dapat diulang kembali tanpa melihat catatan. Sedangkan metode mufradat subuh adalah salah satu cara yang digunakan dalam proses menghafal kosa kata bahasa arab serta proses tersebut dilaksanakan sesudah shalat subuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode mufradat subuh sudah terbilang efektif, hal ini dibuktikan dengan diperoleh peningkatan kemampuan menghafal santriwati dari pra siklus sampai ke siklus II. Dalam pra siklus, persentase nilai rata-rata santriwati adalah 63, pada siklus I persentase nilai rata-rata adalah 72, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 80. Sehingga peneliti menarik kesimpulan bahwa penelitian ini dapat dikatakan berhasil].

Abstract

The Bestari Landfill of Probolinggo City collects a variety of plastics waste, most of it already in a degraded state. It is estimated to be potential habitat for polypropylene-degrading bacteria. Previous NGS studies identified 2,400 species of bacteria, but did not reveal their physiological and functional characteristics. This study aims to identify PP-degrading bacteria using 16S rRNA analysis. Isolation is carried out by the Enrichment method on Mineral Salt Media (MSM) containing PP granules. The research stages included sampling, isolation, and screening of bacteria for the most effective degrading agents. Six isolates of polypropylene-degrading bacteria were discovered at the Bestari Landfill of Probolinggo City, including B1UM1, B1UM2, B1UM3, B2UM1, B2UM2, and B2UM3. After 15 days of incubation, potential isolates B1UM1, B1UM2, and B2UM1 showed the highest polymer reduction of 8.25%, 7.15%, and 6.25%. Gram staining results showed that isolate B1UM1 was coccus and a Gram-positive bacterium, while isolates B1UM2 and B2UM1 were basil and Gram-positive. Genotypic identification through 16S rRNA sequence analysis showed that isolate B1UM1 had 100.0% similarity with Staphylococcus haemolyticus, BIUM2 had a 100% similarity to Bacillus cereus, and B2UM1 had a 99% had a similarity to Bacillus sp.

Abstract

The Community Service Lecture (KPM) activity of STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh in Gampong Lhok Bubon aims to strengthen local identity through the creation of a welcome sign that integrates local cultural values. Participatory methods are used by involving the community in the design, creation, and placement of the sign, as well as the mentoring program for the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) and social services. The result is the creation of a welcome sign that combines traditional Acehnese motifs, Islamic calligraphy, and local language, becoming a symbol of community pride. The high level of active participation of residents shows a sense of ownership of the program. In addition, the TPQ activity succeeded in increasing children's interest in learning, while the social service improved environmental cleanliness. Collaboration between students, lecturers, and the community proves that a culture-based approach can be an effective solution in preserving local identity amidst the challenges of globalization. This program not only strengthens local wisdom values, but also becomes a model of sustainable service for community development.

Abstract

Senggugu has the potential to be a source of natural medicine through its compounds. Using in silico approaches is an effective strategy for exploring compounds from natural products in the screening process. In vivo studies on senggugu have indicated that the plant has antidiabetic activity, although the active compounds involved in this activity are unknown. This study aims to explore the content of bioactive compounds of Senggugu (Clerodendrum serratum (L.) Moon) and its mechanism of action as an antidiabetic in silico with Molegro Virtual Docker software, ChemDraw, visualization with Discovery Studio, and ADMET prediction with pkCSM. The study was conducted by simulating the molecular docking of 31 bioactive compounds in Senggugu (Clerodendrum serratum (L.) Moon) with comparison compounds using glibenclamide, miglitol, rosiglitazone, linagliptin, and empagliflozin. The validated target proteins comprised 5 (five) receptors with PDB ID codes 4YVP, 5NN6, 7AWC, 6Y0F, and 7VSI. Based on this study, the compound predicted to be active as an antidiabetic is [(1S,2S,6R,7S,11R)-11-hydroxy-5,9,13-trimethylidene-4-oxo-3,14-dioxatricyclo [9.2.1.02,6] tetradecan-7-yl]2-methylprop-2-enoate at receptor 4YVP with a rerank score of -107.663 kcal/mol with glibenclamide -94.8299 kcal/mol and [3-hydroxy-4-[(2R)-6-methylhept-5-en-2yl]phenyl]methyl3-methylbut-2-enoate at 5NN6 receptor with a rerank score of -87.8719 with miglitol -64.7212 kcal/mol.

Abstract

Tanaman Solanum lycopersicum memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung kesehatan manusia, berkat kandungan gizi yang tinggi, termasuk karbohidrat, protein, lemak, vitamin A, B1, B2, C, serta mineral seperti besi, fosfor, dan kalsium. Selain itu, buah Solanum lycopersicum juga mengandung senyawa bioaktif yang bermanfaat, seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, dan tanin, yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri dan antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kandungan fitokimia dalam buah Solanum lycopersicum melalui serangkaian proses penyiapan sampel, ekstraksi dengan metode perkolasi, serta uji fitokimia dan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT). Sampel buah Solanum lycopersicum  segar yang diperoleh dari pasar 16 Ilir Palembang, diproses menjadi simplisia dengan berat 400 dengan nilai penyusutan 99,3%. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan pelarut etanol 96%, menghasilkan rendemen ekstrak sebesar 33,5%. Uji fitokimia menunjukkan keberadaan senyawa alkaloid (positif dengan reagen Wagner dan Dragendrof), saponin, tanin, dan steroid, namun negatif untuk flavonoid. Hasil analisis KLT menunjukkan adanya senyawa terpenoid dan steroid pada sinar UV 254 nm, serta flavonoid dan alkaloid pada sinar UV 365 nm. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa buah tomat mengandung berbagai senyawa bioaktif yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber obat alami, terutama dalam pengobatan antibakteri dan antioksidan

Abstract

The Phanerochaete chrysosporium ITB isolate can form a biofilm when grown on a support material, in which the attached cells are in a sessile state, which allows the cells to thrive better compared to other conditions. This study uses the Taguchi model to explore the ligninase (LiP, MnP, and laccase) production by P. chrysosporium ITB isolates immobilized on polypropylene (PP). This research was carried out in a laboratory experimental manner, which consisted of stages that included the preparation of spore suspension and optimization of conditions for the production of ligninase using Taguchi. The results showed that lignin peroxidase (LiP) and laccase (420.1 and 78.69 U/mg) enzymes were optimally produced using an inoculum size of 5 × 103 spore/mL, with a growth duration of 6 d at pH 3 and required 0.4 g/mL of PP to yield a 0.36% biofilm weight. The optimal production of MnP (410.23 U/mg) warranted an inoculum size of 5 × 102 spore/mL with incubation of 4 d at pH 5, and immobilization on 0.20 g/mL PP, to give a final biofilm weight of 0.09%. These results indicate a potential LiP and laccase production by the biofilm of P. chrysosporium on the polypropylene as supporting materials.
