The objectives of this research were to 1) review the implementation of ISO 9001 management system with internal quality assurance system (SPMI) to support SPME BAN-PT and 2) develop ISO 9001 management system synchronization strategy with SPMI to support SPME BAN-PT. The method used in this research was analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results show that SPMI and ISO 9001 are running separately. The causal variables include the work unit which has not figured out that the clause in ISO 9001 actually supports the clause of SPMI. Therefore, in implementing the process in accordance with ISO 9001, the target nature is standardization on SPMI. In compiling the ISO 9001 and SPMI system synchronization, a table of conformity between the SPMI and ISO 9001 clauses is established. In reference to the table of conformity, it can be seen that what has been done in the ISO 9001 clause can explain that its implementation supports the achievement of SPMI standard targets related to the corresponding clause. Referring to additional input from the experts on the priority of synchronization strategy of both quality management systems (SMM), it will support the implementation of SPME BAN-PT so that the accreditation achievement of leading study program and institution can be achieved efficiently and effectively.Keywords: ISO 9001, SPMI, integrated quality management system, synchronization, AHPAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) mengkaji pelaksanaan sistem manajemen ISO 9001 dengan sistem penjaminan mutu internal (SPMI) untuk menunjang SPME BAN-PT dan 2) menyusun strategi sinkronisasi sistem manajemen ISO 9001 dengan SPMI untuk menunjang SPME BAN-PT. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan proses hirarki analitik (AHP). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa SPMI dan ISO 9001 berjalan terpisah. Variabel penyebab diantaranya adalah unit kerja belum memahami bahwa klausul pada ISO 9001 sebenarnya menunjang klausul SPMI, sehingga pada pelaksanaan prosesnya sesuai ISO 9001, hakikat target adalah standarisasi pada SPMI. Dalam menyusun sinkronisasi sistem ISO 9001 dan SPMI maka dibuat tabel kesesuaian antara klausul SPMI dengan ISO 9001. Dari tabel kesesuaian terlihat bahwa apa yang telah dijalankan pada klausul ISO 9001 dapat diklaim bahwa pelaksanaannya menunjang pencapaian target standar SPMI terkait klausul yang berkesesuaian. Ditambah masukan dari para pakar tentang prioritas strategi sinkronisasi kedua sistem manajemen mutu (SMM) tersebut akan menunjang pula pelaksanaan SPME BAN-PT sehingga pencapaian akreditasi unggul program studi dan institusi dapat teraih dengan efisien dan efektif.Kata kunci: ISO 9001, SPMI, integrasi sistem manajemen mutu, sinkronisasi, AHP

Strategies Proposed for Listening Comprehension in PBT TOEFL: Tricks that Do Not Work Faisal Mustafa; Tomi Mandala Putra

Abstract: The Longman Preparation Course for the TOEFL, written by Phillips in 2003, is the most widely used coursebook for TOEFL test preparation. This book provides 17 strategies for Listening Comprehension Part A. Therefore, the current study examines whether the strategies provided in the book are applicable in a real test. The data were obtained from Part A of the TOEFL listening section in nine tests designed by Educational Testing Service (ETS). Each item in the test was tested against the proposed strategies. The results reveal that many items did not successfully match the strategies. Only two proposed strategies had matches of higher than 80%, while others were less than 10%. There are four strategies that did not have a match at all. All in all, very few strategies can be applied to answer the questions correctly without adequate comprehension. With comprehension, test takers can answer the questions without needing to rely on any of the proposed strategies. Therefore, the study concludes that most of the strategies proposed by Phillips (2003) are not successful in real test.Key words: strategies, PBT TOEFL, listening comprehension Abstrak: The Longman Preparation Course for the TOEFL yang ditulis oleh Phillips in 2003 paling banyak digunakan untuk pelatihan persiapan TOEFL. Buku tersebut berisi 17 strategi untuk menjawab soal TOEFP pada Part A. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menelaah apakah strategi dalam buku tersebut dapat digunakan untuk mengerjakan tes TOEFL yang sebenarnya. Data untuk penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes TOEFL bagian listening Part A yang diperoleh dari Educational Testing Service (ETS). Setiap soal pada tes tersebut dicocokkan dengan strategi yang terdapat dalam buku Phillips (2003). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyak soal tidak dapat dijawab dengan menggunakan strategi yang dianjurkan. Hanya ada dua strategi yang memiliki kecocokan lebih dari 80%, sedangkan yang lain kurang dari 10%. Ada dua strategi yang tidak cocok dengan satu soal manapun. Secara keseluruhan, sangat sedikit strategi yang dapat digunakan untuk menjawab soal TOEFL listening Part A tanpa pemahaman yang cukup. Dengan pemahaman, peserta tes bisa menjawab soal tanpa harus menggunakan strategi-strategi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kebanyakan strategi yang dikemukakan oleh Phillips (2003) tidak dapat digunakan untuk menjawab soal TOEFL asli.Kata kunci: strategi, PBT TOEFL, listening comprehension.

Characteristics of coastal tidal areas of Batu Hijau vary from sandy substrate type, sandy to rocky reef with a wide expanse of intertidal ranges from 100 meters to 350 meters. To find out zoning intertidal community,the observation conducted at five locations intertidal beach, each consisting of three zones: the high tide, middle tide and low tide. Living structure in tidal areas of coastal Batu Hijau, Sumbawa consists of the main communities and associated biota. The main intertidal community composed of coral, seagrass, algae, and other fauna, while the intertidal biota associated with tidal habitat consists of a group of molluscs, echinoderm, crustacean, worms and fish. Distribution of intertidal communities formed three zones consisting of (1) seagrass (21.3%) in the upper zone (high tide), (2) algae (35.5%) in the central zone (mid tide), and (3) coral (28.5%) and algae (42.5%) in the lower zone (low tide). The main groups of biota in the form of tidal zoning system consisting of two groups of molluscs (51.12%) in the upper zone, while the echinoderms that predominate in the central zone (36.96%) and lower (66.89%). No significant differences between the structure and composition of marine intertidal communities in September 2011 (rainy season) and April 2012 (dry season). ABSTRACT Madak activity is a local word for the people of Sumbawa to collect marine biota in tidal area during the low tide. The purpose of this study was to determine social change in communities of West Sumbawa for doing Madak culture. The study was conducted for 2 months in West Sumbawa. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and interviewing the Madak people. It seemed that Madak culture changed totally, especially in daily actvities. In the past, they used tools that were environmentally friendly. However, during this study, they tended to damage coastal environment by flipping the reef. Mantang Besar and Mantang Kecil islands contain marine resources that can be developed for ma-rine tourism activities. For the above purpose, a study is needed to assess the potential of the islands. The objectives of this study were: (1) to analyze the sustainability potential of marine tourism on Man-tang Besar and Mantang Kecil islands and (2) to determine the policy and strategy to develop marine tourism in Mantang Besar and Mantang Kecil islands. Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) with Rapid Appraisal Index Sustainability of Ecotourism approach was used for the sustainability analysis of the marine tourism potential in both islands. The results showed that the sustainability status of marine tourism potential on Mantang Besar and Mantang Kecil islands for A dimension (ecology) was in ave-rage of 50.4592 within the category of sustainable, for B dimension (socio-economic) with average of 31.6113 within the category of less sustainable, and C dimension (institutional-technology) with ave-rage of 32.5581 wihtin the category of less sustainable. For the succes of the strategy development, B dimension should be prioritized and followed by B and C dimensions. Keywords: MCA, marine tourism development strategy, Anambas islands

This study reviews the suitability of habitat for the green turtle in the Pangumbahan Turtle Park. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the existing zoning system and to provide recommendations of alternative zoning approach based on ecological suitability turtle habitat. Observations and fieldwork were undertaken throughout the coastal area of Pangumbahan from January to June 2015 by collecting data which include nesting site for turtles, sand temperature and moisture content, width of the beach, surface slope of the beach, vegetation cover, seagrass and secondary data. Methods of data analysis consists of suitability analysis with the spatial approach using Geographic Information System. The results of the analysis of overlay method were classified into three classes of suitability, which include very suitable covering 6,91 hectares, suitable covering 14,60 hectares and less suitable covering 37,21 hectares. The current existing zones needs to be revised using the recommended zoning system. As an implementation of the findings from this study as well as to effectively manage the conservation area based on the green turtle ecology, it is highly recommended to do a zoning system which is based on the principal of the green turtles habitat suitability to ensure the sustainability of the green turtle within the conservation area. This will ensure the zoning system suits the green turtles’ characteristics hence enabling each of the zones to effectively functioning.

Panggang Island is one of the snorkeling and diving area in the Seribu Islands. Number of tourists increase every year in line with the improving of tourism infrastructure such as tourist boat and dive shops. Tourism activities not only provide economic benefits but also give negative impact on coral reef ecosystem. The results of direct observations showed that there was destructive impact from snorkeling and diving. The most destructive behavior done by snorkeling and diver who has license was stepping on the coral reef. While the most destructive behavior by diver who has no license was holding the coral reef. The continued effect of tourist destructive behaviour grouped into three categories such as rubble, scratches on top of coral colony, and crushed coral colony. Based on the tourism impact analysis showed that diverwho has not been licensed gived the greatest damage impact,it was 13.55% per year of the ecological potential. While the impact of snorkeling touristwas 5.05% and diver who has license gived the smallest effect, it was 2.36%. Comparison of coral reef data between 2010 and 2016 showed no significant changes to the coral reef, it means that until now coral reefs of Panggang Island still tolerate any disturbances including impact of tourism activities.Keywords : coral reef, diving, snorkeling, tourism, Panggang IslandPanggang Island is one of the snorkeling and diving area in the Seribu Islands. Based on the tourism impact analysis showed that diverwho has not been licensed gived the greatest damage impact,it was 13.55% per year of the ecological potential. While the impact of snorkeling touristwas 5.05% and diver who has license gived the smallest effect, it was 2.36%. Comparison of coral reef data between 2010 and 2016 showed no significant changes to the coral reef, it means that until now coral reefs of Panggang Island still tolerate any disturbances including impact of tourism activities. Physical seagrass ecosystem damage have been reported in various regions in Indonesia. Seagrass ecosystem damage is caused by human activity such as trampling seagrass and boats that muddy the waters and reduced the density and seagrass cover. This study aims to provide information about the density and the coverage of seagrass. The method used in this research is the transect method measuring 50x50 cm squared at three different locations by considering coastal ecosystems Bahoi village that already exist. Station 1 is near to mangrove habitat, station 2 is right on seagrass habitats, and station 3 is near to coral reef habitat. The results indicated there is six seagrass species that found in the Bahoi village which is Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis, and Halodule uninervis. The density and seagrass cover is shows that the station 1 has the highest density and seagrass cover percentage compared with the other stations. The highest density of seagrass species located in station 1 with 955 individuals/m2, and the lowest was located at station 3 with 699 individuals/m2. While the highest cover percentage is located at station 1 with 270% and the lowest located at station 3 with 229%. Keyword: seagrass ecosystem, density, coverage, Bahoi

Coral reef ecosystems have many benefits including protect the coast from strong waves and currents and are important in maintaining the ecological system in these waters as habitat, spawning grounds, shelter and food sources for marine biota such as ascidians, sponge, echinoderms, mollusks, and fish. The diversity of reef fishes on the east coast of Biak Island is one of the important resources used as a source of income or food source by residents who earn a living as fishermen. This study aims to analyze the relationship between coral communities and coral reef fish communities on the east coast of Biak Island, Biak Numfor Regency. Observations were done by diving using SCUBA equipment. Observation of the condition of the coral reefs used the PIT (Point Intercept Transect) method and coral reef fish worked by the UVC (Underwater Visual Census) method. Data analysis was running by the Spearman test analysis. The results showed that changes in coral community cover affect reef fish communities. This study concludes that there is an association between coral communities and coral reef fish communities that have a positive linear relationship.
