One of the ecological functions of mangroves ecosystem is to store carbon. Yet, on the other hand it also has the potential to cause greenhouse gas emissions through litter degradation even though its value is lower compared to the absorption value. Based on these two facts, mangrove management as a Green Open Space in the Tallo river area of Makassar City needs to consider involving the participation of the community and the government as stakeholders. The research was conducted by desk work, literature study and respondent interviews regarding perceptions and participation in mangrove management. The results showed that the total uptake of mangrove carbon in the Tallo river in Makassar city was 351.02 tons CO2/ha, oxygen supply 255.29 O2-equivalent/ha, and the potential for global warming was 252.41 mg/ m2/hour consisting of 194, 33 mg/m2/hour of CO2 gas, 15.76 mg/m2/hour of CH4 gas, and 42.33 mg/m2/hour of N2O gas. The results of community perception and participation analysis show that around 89% of the community strongly agreed and supported the government in the effort to manage mangroves as a green open space. Based on this, the ecosystem in the Tallo river is very suitable to be managed for green open space as fresh air supplier and CO2 adsorber as well as a noise reduction from vehicle or industrial engines in Makassar city.

This research is a quantitative research that aims to determine whether the SnowballThrowing learning model can influence learning outcomes of Matehematics that are better andmore effective than the Talking Stick learning model on addition and subtraction of variousfractions students in grade V. The research used the eksperimental research method whit pretestpost-test control group design. Its population was all of students in Grade V of StatePrimary School in target area Imam Bonjol of Laweyan Sub-district in Academic Year2017/2018. Cluster Random Sampling was used to determine its samples. They consisted ofthe students in Grade V of State Primary School Totosari No.102 and students in Grade V ofState Primary School Tunggulsari I No.72.the data of research were collected through test oflearning result in Mathematics. Prior to application, the test was experimented at State PrimarySchool Tunggulsari II No.179. they were analyzed by using the statistical t test at the signifikanlevel of 0.05. the result of the research shows that the aplplication of the Snowball Throwingand Talking Stick learning model can affect the students’ learning result in mathematics.((thitung = 2,056; t < - 1,989atau t > 1,989). The results of this study it can be concluded thatstudents who are taught with the Snowball Throwing model have learning outcomes in additionmaterial and a reduction in various forms of fractions better than student learning outcomesthat are taught with the Talking stick model.

Ostrea edulis is one of the most common types of meat oysters and is commonly consumed by people in Kuala Gigieng, but until now there is not much scientific information about this species. The purpose of this study was to describe the ecomorphology of Ostrea edulis in Kuala Gigieng waters. This research was conducted from August to September 2013 in Kuala Gigieng Waters, Aceh Besar District. The method used in this research is purposive sampling. Identification of samples based on shell morphological characteristics including the exterior and interior of the shell using a magnifier lamp. The results showed that Ostrea edulis found in Kuala Gigieng waters had round, rough, hard, thick and uneven shells. The two valves are also not the same size, where the left valve is more concave than the right valve which tends to be flat. This is a form of the adaptation pattern of Ostrea edulis in Kuala Gigieng which tends to have a medium sand and clay sand substrate with a fairly high predation from both natural and human predation.

Oysters belong to the Crassostrea, which is a type of shellfish that lives as benthos in waters under the same substrate and environmental conditions will exhibit similar morphological changes in response. There are many types of oysters that have a similar shape are often an obstacle to differentiate of Crassostrea species through morphological identification. The purpose of this research was to identify the types of oysters found in the waters of Delta Cimanuk through analysis of the morphology and nucleotide diversity of Cytochrome Oxidase subunit I (COI) gene, as basic information on proper management and conservation. The morphological identification results show that there were two species of the Crassostrea. Identification of species through the Barcoding DNA technique shows that there is one type of oyster: Crassostrea iredalei with an accuracy of 99.5%.

Pacific oysters (Crassostrea gigas, Thunberg, 1793) is a benthic organisme that tend to live and settle in the bottom. One of the pacific oyster habitat is Coastal Water of Pabean Ilir, Indramayu. The purpose of this study was to map spatial condition of the population related habitat of the oyster (Crassostrea gigas). The mapping were done with laptop, using Arc GIS. There were 15 points of sampling. The oyster population in Pabean Ilir can be categorized into three categories: low, medium, and high density. Based on the similarity of environmental characteristics the habitat were divided into four groups. Condition Coastal Water of Pabean Ilir such as temperature, salinity, pH, BOD, TSS, TDS, COD, and composition of substrate indicated Coastal Water of Pabean Ilir have compatibility optimum sufficient habitat to support the growth of pacific oyster

During a 4-weeks period oyster spat at- tached on shell and stone collectors but not on roofing tile submerged in estuarine and marine habitats. Collectors made of stone (rough surface) were better than collectors of shell in terms of number of settled spat. The oyster spat settled at highest density on collectors close tothe sea. Pieces of red meranti wood (Shorea leprosula) were soaked in horizontal and vertical positions in sea water for 9 weeks. Two species of bivalves settled on the wood: Bankia campanellata (Moll & Roch) and Martesia striata (Linné). Average densities of settling larvae were 125 ind. 100 cm-2 on horizontal wood, and 95 ind. 100 cm-2 on vertical wood, indicating a tendency to settle on the top side of the wood. The number of larvae settling on wood immersed at the surface was not significantly different from wood at 1.25 m depth.

A nursing audit is a professional evaluation of the quality of nursing services provided for patients by employing medical records or other supporting data conducted by nursing staff. This research aimed to investigate the root causes of the nursing audit performed by the quality care subcommittee in the hospital. To gain the data, the researchers employed secondary methods consisting of observation and interview. The collected data were analyzed by employing a systematic methodology to investigate the root causes by employing the Ishikawa diagram. The analysis results are presented by employing the 5-M method. The solution is proposed as a feedback to the hospital to develop a nursing audit. Meanwhile, the recommendation is rendered to the hospital to improve the quality of nursing care of the hospital particularly the nursing committee in performing nursing audits conducted by the quality care subcommittee by developing a documentation audit system. ABSTRAKPermasalahan kewenangan secara kelembagaan dalam pengelolaan kawasan konservasikhususnya Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu (TNKpS) masih terus mengemuka, halini dapat berpotensi konflik kewenangan yang berdampak terhadap keberlanjutan pengelolaan. Penelitian ditujukan untuk mengetahui kelembagaan yang paling berwenang dalam pengelolaan TNKpS dan dampak penambangan karang terhadap sumber daya terumbu barang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara dan pengisian kuisioner. Analisis data menggunakan metode ISM (Interpretative Structural Modelling) dan data lapangan menggunakan metode Line Intercept Transects (LIT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kementerian Kehutanan dan Pemerintah Daerah adalah kelembagaan yang mempunyai pengaruh kuat terhadap keberlangsungan pengelolaan Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu. Agar pengelolaan sumber daya Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu dapat berkelanjutan, makaelemen Tujuan Program yang dapat dirujuk sebagai kebijakan pengelolaan bersama kedua kelembagaan tersebut adalah Kelestarian Sumber daya Taman Nasional.

Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas perlindungan laut di tiga lokasi. Tujuan khususnya adalah (1) untuk mengevaluasi keberlanjutan dari perlindungan laut, dan (2) untuk merumuskan langkah strategis untuk pengembangan perlindungan laut. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga lokasi, yaitu Desa Blongko, Propinsi Sulawesi Utara, Pulau Sebesi, Provinsi Lampung, dan Pulau Harapan, Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Desember 2007. Metode analisis terdiri dari (1) analisa sumber daya alam dengan analisis kuantitatif, dan analisa keberlanjutan oleh scaling multi dimensi analisis. Ada 32 atribut telah dianalisa untuk mengevaluasi keberlanjutan perlindungan laut di tiga lokasi. Dengan analisis leverage ditemukan atribut-atribut dengan sensitivitas yang tinggi yaitu kualitas terumbu karang dan ikan karang (ekologi dan lingkungan dimensi); kontribusi pendapatan, mata pencaharian alternatif dan efek ganda dari perlindungan laut (aspek hukum ekonomi dan sosial dimensi);, peraturan daerah dan internalisasi program untuk program pembangunan daerah (dimensi kebijakan); pedoman perlindungan laut, program berkelanjutan, peningkatan kapasitas, dan partisipasi lembaga non pemerintah (dimensi kelembagaan). Tittle: Sustainability of Community Based Management for Marine Protected Area :Cases of the DPL-BM Blongko-Minahasa Selatan, the DPL-BM Sebesi Island-Lampung Selatan and the APL Harapan Island-Kepulauan SeribuGeneral objective of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of marine sanctuaries in three locations. Specifically of this research were to evaluate the sustainability of marine sanctuary, and to formulate the strategic action for developing of marine sanctuary. Research was conducted at three locations, Blongko in North Sulawesi Province, Sebesi Island in Lampung Province, and Harapan Island, in Jakarta Province. Data collection was conducted during June to December 2007. This research used quantitative analysis by applying natural resources and sustainability analysis through multi dimension scaling analysis. This research applied 32 attributes to evaluate the sustainability of marine sanctuaries in three locations. By analysis of these attributes, it founded the attribute with high sensitivity remains to quality of coral reef and fish coral (ecological and environmental dimension); contribution of income, alternative livelihood and multiplier effect of marine sanctuary (economic and social dimension); legal aspect, local regulation and internalization of the program to local development program (policy dimension); and guidelines of marine sanctuary, extension officer programs and capacity building, and participation of non government institution (institutional dimension).
