Abstract

The increasing of tourism activities magnified by uncontrolled land use patterns have caused coastal ecosystem degradation in Gili Indah. A research on  evaluation of land use patterns and optimization of coastal tourism based on a mitigation approach has been done in the area.  Research results showed that size of area including in a very suitable category for diving activity were 216.79 ha; 190.84 ha for snorkeling activity; and 19.83 ha for beach tourism.  Based on carrying capacity analysis the area can support maximum 286 tourists per day or 104.390 tourists annually.  Mitigation approach in optimization indicates that the maximum tourist number in the area can only be reached if all aspects of carrying capacity namely ecological, economics, social and institutional aspect are well considered. Key words : Carrying capacity, coastal tourism, mitigation, optimization.

Abstract

The research was located at Balang Lompo Island Mattiro Sompe District Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi from July to December 2009. The aim of this research was to measure sedimentation rate and to analyze sediment type that precipitates on Terumbu’s ecosystem at Ballanglompo Island. The results of analysis indicated sedimentation rate in the waters of Ballanglompo Island was about 0.0036 – 0.300 mg/cm2/day. This sedimentation rate was still very low with sediment size of 0.5 – 0.125 mm which is classified as sand. Key words : Balang Lompo Island, coral reef, sedimentation.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine and measure the market orientation effects on marketing performance. The research sample was manufacture companies that constitutes of Small and Midlle Entrepreneurship in Semarang, particularly those which are customer of Bank Mandiri Business Banking Semarang – Gajahmada Branch. The manufacture companies sector in this research includes furniture, food & beverages, printing/ offset, machinery & workshop, garment & footwear, metal industry, plastic waste cycle, soapworks& cleansing ware and plywood. Number of respondent in this research concludes 105unit of companies, each company represented by their owner or manager. This research is using Structural Equation Modeling ( SEM) Analysis through AMOS 21.0 software. Based on the data analysis collected, it can be concluded that market orientation is positively and significantly affect the marketing performance. Moreover, the model developed in this study proved that: 1) Market orientation result also positively influence marketing performance through process of product adaptation and business strategy quality; 2) Business strategy and product adaptation has positive effect on competitive advantage; 3) Product adaptation and competitive advantage has positive influence to marketing performance.

Abstract

This study aims : (1) to analyze the status of coastal ecosystems, (2) to analyze factors that affect the quality of coastal ecosystems, and (3) to prepare the direction on spatial planning in coastal areas of Ambon Bay Area. The analytical method used in this study is the analysis of ecosystem status, principal components analysis, analysis of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and analysis of dynamic systems. The results showed that the condition of ecosystem status damaged in 2008, whereby, the status of mangrove ecosystems is moderate with a density of 1100 trees/ha, the status of seagrass ecosystems damaged by percentage cover of 38,76%, and the status of coral reef ecosystems are damaged by the percentage of live coral is 42,27%. Ecosystem conditions in Ambon Bay Area is affected by land use on land, namely forest area and population. Refferral of land use planning in Ambon Bay Areas wich recommended in this study for a period of 20 years of protected areas and cultivated areas. Protected areas is aimed at 9.480,70 ha or 41,21% of land area, while the allocation of space for the cultivation area is 10.416,30 ha (58,79% of land area). To reduce the pollutant into the waters, planned buffer zones (coastal and riverine border for 11,69% of land area), which serves to absorb pollutants and protect the inland waters of the tidal influence, while still controlling the waste coming into water By using dynamic systems analysis, created the scenario of land use planning in Ambon Bay Area that integrates land and wet land. The scenario used in this study is the optimistic, pessimistic and moderate scenarios. The variable that is used to determine of policy scenarios spatial planning based on the rate of population growth is 2,5% per annum, while variable forest area of at least 30% of the area. Of the three scenarios, the scenario chosen for the land use planning policy in Ambon Bay Areas in the future is to use the moderate scenario. The simulation results moderate scenario, the status of coastal ecosystems is improved from the criteria of the coastal ecosystem damaged by coastal ecosystems index 44,44% in 2008 turned into good condition with the index of coastal ecosystems 88,89% in 2029

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam penerapan Ekoliterasi Ketahanan Hayati (EKH) pada mahasiswa adalah lemahnya aspek keterampilan sosial dan berkelompok pada mahasiswa. Hal ini bisa diperbaiki dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe kelompok investigasi, yang dalam penerapannya menggunakan pendekatan artistik digital (power point). Penerapan EKH ini dilakukan dengan model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) melalui dua siklus. Hasilnya penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif kelompok investigasi berbasis pendekatan artistik digital (power point) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berkelompok mahasiswa dalam presentasi pada aspek fokus dalam presentasi meningkat dari 2,86 menjai 3,73, pada aspek organisasi penyajian dari 2,90 menjadi 3,62, suara dalam presentasi meningkat dari 3,42 menjadi 3,81 serta kemampuan tanya jawab dari 3,18 menjadi 3,85 sedangkan pada aspek pembukaan presentasi terjadi peningkatan dari 2,82 menjadi 3,35 namun peningkatannya tidak signifikan. Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif kelompok investigasi berbasis pendekatan artistk digital (power point) juga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menyusun media pembelajaran power point ditinjau penyusunan latar belakang meningkat dari dari 3,17 menjadi 3,56 serta dari keakuratan isi dengan alat bantu meningkat dari 3,12 menjadi 3,62 sedangkan untuk aspek penyusunan gambaran umum meningkat dari 3,38 menjadi 3,76 serta teks yang mencakup pemilihan huruf dan format meningkat dari 3,12 menjadi 3,62 namun peningkatan yang terjadi tidak signifikan.

Abstract

Background : Based on WHO (World health Organization), amount 3,6 million (3%) from 120 million baby birth befound neonatorum asfiction almost 90%, baby mortality happen in developing country. Main factor of neonatal mortality are neonatorum asfiction (27%) and low Birth Weight. Purpose : For know relation low birth weight with neonatorum asfiction. Methode : Analitik survey with observasional crossectional design place of riset in perinatologi ward RSUD Wates. Subject of riset is all baby birth in perinatologi ward year 2 on with inclusion and exclusion standart. Data seek by medical record with secondary data used analysis kendall,s tau technique and correlation coefision. Result : Amount 326 subject of riset, almost baby birth is median birth weight 217 baby (67%). Almost asfiction in baby birth with apgar score 4 ? 6 is 159 baby (49%). There was relationship low birth weight with neonatorum asfiction with p value 0,013. Conclusion : There was relationship low birth weight with neonatorum asfiction is very low. Abstract

Background: The presence of gays in the community still makes  heterosexual  as  normal  sex  orientation. There are unfair perceptions of heterosexual group that develop into real behaviors which are very detrimental for homosexuals group in the form  of  stigmatization  against  homosexuals.  Stigmatization for gay in society also comes from health professionals when they think homosexuals conduct violation to the rule of law, social and religious values. Therefore gays tend to visit certain health care providers who are familiar with them or to hide the identity that they are homosexuals. Objective: To determine the perceptions of gays regarding gay stigmatization of health care providers. Methods: A qualitative by using snowball sampling with the total of 10 participants was applied. The Conceptual Content Cognitive Map (3CM) methods followed by interview were utilized to gather data. Results : Six themes regarding gay stigmatization of health care as perceived by gays as follows: (1) gay is a divergence and contagious; (2) being gay is normal; (3) flamboyant and hedonist personality; (4) exclusive and bad personality; (5) at high risk of sexually transmitted diseases, lack of self-control, and diseased; and (6) having good personality. Conclusion : Six themes with predominantly negative perceptions regarding stigmatization on gays by health care providers as perceived by gays describe the need of transformation of health care service to increase the quality of health of minor population like gay. Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) What is the pattern of population settlements in Taliabu Barat Northwest District Taliabu District, 2) What are the factors that influence the population settlement patterns in Taliabu Northwest District Taliabu District. The purpose of this study is 1) To describe the population settlement patterns in Taliabu Northwest District, Taliabu Regency. 2) To find out the factors that influence the population settlement patterns in Taliabu Northwest District Taliabu District. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a case study approach. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaire, and documentation.Analysis of the pattern of settlement distribution was measured using the analysis of the nearest neighbor (nearest neighbor analysis), namely by calculating the size of the nearest neighbor parameter (T). Based on the results of the research on the Distribution Pattern of Population Settlements in Taliabu Northwest Subdistrict, Taliabu District, the pattern is uniform because the value of T ≥ 1.4 is the value of T = 2.54 m and patterned to follow the path or linear settlement pattern. Factors of settlement distribution patterns in Taliabu Northwest Subdistrict, Taliabu Regency are influenced by: First the community prefers to establish settlements in the coastal area of 67.3% and close to the road by 56.4%; The two of them mostly use their land as plantation land of 78.2% and agricultural land by 20%; The third source of water comes from the PDAM of 50.9% and is> 31 m at 54.5%; The four availability of natural resources mostly comes from agriculture / plantations, which is 96.4%.

Abstract

Abda’u tradition is performed on the feast of Muslims’ Aidul Adha. This tradition is a form of struggle, the defense of the flag, seizure of the sacrificed animals’ blood by enforcing the ideological teachings of Islam. The purpose of this research was to understand and find communication events, communication components, and patterns of abda’u communication tradition on Maluku Tulehu to sacrifice animals’ procession. This research uses the theory of symbolic interactionism of the constructivist paradigm and communication ethnography method "speaking" from Dell Hymes as the basic reference. The approach used is qualitative data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observations, the study of librarianship and documentation. The subject of the study amounted to 13 people and 2 key informants whom the abda'u offender, directory and mosque imam through a purposive sampling technique. The results of the abda’u tradition communication events include purified sacrifice animals, upholding the religion flag, and the sacrifice of animal slaughtering. Communication events occur concerning the house on mosque Imam, the villages, and Jami'i mosques. The message conveyed in Tulehu religious language, either verbal or nonverbal, based on the lofty norms and values passed down from generation to the next generation. The communication pattern formed based on abda'u tradition of awareness to preserve the procession of sacrificed animals through devotion to God Almighty by enforcing Islam ideological, syiar of Islam, the sacrifice of the sacrificed animals to the community, and the social solidarity of Muslim community. Tradisi abda’u dilakukan pada hari perayaan Idul Adha umat Islam. Tradisi ini merupakan bentuk perjuangan, pertahanan dan penegakkan bendera serta perebutan darah hewan qurban dengan menegakkan ideologi ajaran Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memahami dan menemukan peristiwa komunikasi, komponen komunikasi, dan pola komunikasi tradisi abda’u pada prosesi hewan qurban adat Tulehu Maluku. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori interaksionisme simbolik dari Blummer dengan paradigma konstruktivis dan metode etnografi komunikasi “speaking” dari Dell Hymes sebagai acuan dasarnya. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan partisipan, wawancara mendalam, studi kepustakaan, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 13 orang dan 2 orang narasumber kunci melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peristiwa komunikasi tradisi abda’u meliputi hewan qurban disucikan, perebutan bendera religi, dan penyembelihan hewan qurban. Peristiwa komunikasi terjadi di kediaman rumah Imam masjid, jalan kampong, dan masjid Jami’i. Pesan disampaikan bernada religi menggunakan bahasa Tulehu, baik verbal maupun nonverbal berlandaskan kepada norma dan nilai luhur diwariskan dari generasi kepada generasi berikutnya. Pola komunikasi tradisi abda’u dibentuk atas dasar kesadaran untuk melestarikan prosesi hewan qurban melalui pengabdian kepada Allah SWT dengan menegakkan ideologi ajaran Islam, syiar Islam, pengorbanan hewan qurban untuk masyarakat, dan solidaritas sosial sesama komunitas Muslim.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of budget participation, state civil service commitment) and the internal control system on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), research conducted in the city of Padang Panjang, with a sample of 97 people, the analysis method used is multiple regression analysis by doing test hypotheses partially and simultaneously. The results showed that partially found that the budget participation variable did not affect the performance of the ASN with a significance level of 0.188, and partially ASN Commitment had an effect on ASN performance with a significance of 0.001, and partially the internal control system had no effect on ASN performance with a significance of 0.248. While simultaneously the three independent variables significantly influence ASN performance with a significant level of 0,000. The results of the coefficient of determination (R Square) amounted to 0.415 or the proportion of the influence of budgetary participation, the commitment of the State civil apparatus and internal control system with the State Civil Performance Performance of 41.5 percent clearly shows that the contribution of the three independent variables influences the dependent variable 49.5 percent is influenced by other variables. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh partisipasi anggaran, komitmen Aparatur sipil negara) ASN dan Sistem pengendalian Internal terhadap Kinerja Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN), penelitian dilakukan di Kota Padang Panjang,dengan sampel 97 orang, metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan melakukan uji hipotesis secara parsial dan secara simultan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan, bahwa secara parsial ditemukan bahwa variabel partisipasi anggaran tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja ASN dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,188, dan secara parsial Komitmen ASN berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja ASN sengan siknifikansi 0,001, dan secara parsial Sistem pengendalin internal tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja ASN dengan signifikansi 0,248. Sedangkan secara simultan ketiga variabel independen berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja ASN dengan tingkat signifikan 0,000. Hasil nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,415 atau proporsi pengaruh partisipasi anggaran, Komitmen aparatur sipil Negara dan Sistem pengendalian intern dengan Kinerja Aparatur Sipil Negara sebesar 41,5 persen dengan jelas menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi ketiga variabel independen tersebut dalam mempengaruhi variabel dependen cukup besar dimana 49,5 persen dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain
