Socio-cultural changes that can be seen in terms of changes in mindset, behavior patterns, and of course changes in the form of physical objects. For this reason, this study aims to study the impact of the construction of the Mandalika Circuit on socio-cultural changes. The literature search in this study was based on the Google Scholar database, which produced 21 published articles from 2019-2022 using the keyword Mandalika Circuit Development. The Direct Knowledge database with the keywords social impact tourism in the 2018-2022 range of 10 articles. After going through the process of screening, quality assessment, data extraction, and adjustment to the inclusion criteria, 31 articles were obtained as reference articles that could be used in this study. The results of this study obtained various impacts of the construction of the Mandalika Circuit on socio-cultural changes in the form of changes in people’s mindsets and behavior patterns. The mindset and behavior of the community towards progress and its impact are in the eyes of the needs of a more heterogeneous community, the community feels proud of the construction of the Mandalika Circuit, and some of the impacts on the economic sector and MSMEs. In addition to the positive impacts, negative impacts are also inevitable, let alone the erosion of one’s own culture which is full of good values. In the future, the community will not be complacent and will not be displaced by migrants because they are less competitive due to the limited competence of both hard skills and soft skills in the tourism sector. Researchers in the field of special socio-cultural studies due to the construction of the Mandalika Circuit are still not significant.

Abstract

Various forms of societal violence often target women, causing significant impacts on well-being and requiring substantial recovery efforts. This research aims to comprehensively explain the different forms of violence against women in Sentra Paramita Mataram. The study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, enabling an in-depth exploration of experiences and perceptions of victims and a better understanding of the context of the violence. Primary subjects are women who have been victims of violence in Sentra Paramita Mataram, with social workers, psychologists, and nurses as informants. This approach allows for a thorough examination of the experiences and perceptions of victims, providing a nuanced understanding of the dynamics of violence against women in this specific setting. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis process involves presenting data, reducing data, verifying information, and drawing conclusions. Study findings reveal that the most prevalent form of violence against women in Sentra Paramita Mataram is physical violence, including actions such as causing injuries, physical assaults, torture, and rape. Non-physical incidents of violence against women, such as verbal abuse, harassment, involvement in commercial sex work, and neglect, also receive attention. Both physically and non-physically experienced violence compels victims to seek immediate assistance at Sentra Paramita Mataram, underscoring the urgent role of the center as a support and protection hub for victims. This research contributes to a profound understanding of the dynamics of violence against women in this environment and lays the groundwork for more effective intervention and prevention measures.

Abstract

The environment is a very important aspect for human life. However, currently various environmental problems in Indonesia continue to emerge and even represent urgent problems. One of the contributing factors is bad community behavior patterns. One alternative to overcome this problem is to habituate environmentally caring behavior in schools. The aim of this research is to analyze what are the driving and inhibiting factors for the adiwiyata program at SMA 78 Jakarta, especially since this school is a school with independent adiwiyata status from 2017 to 2023. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach using the case study method. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation studies. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are reduction, data display, drawing conclusions and verification. Interviews were conducted with the head of Adiwiyata at SMA 78, the deputy head of the school for student affairs, 5 teachers and 2 students. The research results show that the success of the adiwiyata program at SMA 78 is driven by the habitus, capital and field at SMA 78 which are in harmony with the adiwiyata program. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for the adiwiyata program at SMA 78 are more due to the environment-based lifestyle at the school which is still expensive and difficult to obtain and not all school residents come from environments that previously implemented adiwiyata so that when they enter SMA 78 they are not used to it. SMA 78 needs to be consistent in providing a conducive field regarding adiwiyata at school so that the habitus of all school members can be well formed.
