Abstract

This research examines the role of Lembaga Amil Zakat Infaq and Shadaqah Muhammadiyah (LAZIZMU) Sragen in efforts to overcome poverty in the community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research aims to review more deeply the strategies and innovative programs implemented by LAZIZMU Sragen and their sustainable impact. The results showed that LAZIZMU Sragen has developed various structured programs, including MSME empowerment, education assistance, zakat education, and humanitarian assistance. These programs have provided positive impacts such as improved mustahiq economy, better access to education, and increased zakat awareness in the community. Collaboration with the government and other social institutions also allows LAZIZMU Sragen to reach more people in need. Nevertheless, LAZIZMU Sragen still faces challenges in zakat education, limited resources, and ensuring program sustainability. This study concludes that LAZIZMU Sragen's programs have significant sustainability potential in poverty alleviation, but continuous program evaluation and improvement are needed to maximize their long-term impact.

Abstract

One factor in students' critical thinking abilities is the support of parents who understand and are able to know about differences in status. Parents' parenting style also influences children's thinking abilities. Children's abilities are unlimited, and therefore, age-appropriate education is needed to help identify and develop children's potential. The aim of this research is to understand the implications of parental parenting styles for the development of students' critical thinking. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and semi-structured interviews. The informants used were early childhood children. Data analysis used in qualitative research is data collection, data processing, and feedback. The results of this research show that there are implications of parental parenting style for students' critical thinking. Students with democratic parenting have higher critical thinking skills than students with authoritarian and permissive parenting styles. Shows that with a democratic parenting style parents have high levels of critical thinking. Because democratic parenting provides a parenting style that respects children's freedom, although parents still provide guidance and attention during its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mapping of the development and direction of research on Islamic Education for disability, reviewing on Psychological through bibliometric analysis taken from several articles indexed by the Scopus database, the results of data found in tiers from 2020 to 2024 to find relevant gaps. The data obtained is then analyzed using software in the form of R/R-Studio, VOSViewer, Microsoft Excel to find keywords, stimulant document citations. 431 papers were located by researchers that satisfied the predetermined criteria for subject, function, and size. This study’s findings indicate a yearly increase rate. The collected articles are examined based on the number of research published annually and the science field. The scope of the bibliometric analysis was restricted to data from Scopus. This study’s shortcoming is that it only uses data sets or meta data for publications that Scopus has indexed. This study offers suggestions for futhuer research as well as a concise summary of the material available to scholars studing Islamic Education for Disabilities Psychological Review.

Abstract

Responding to the problem of the character education process has not been maximized, as well as to face the challenges of rapid technological advancement that has given birth to globalization and socio-cultural shifts, Islamic programs are expected to have a positive impact on character education, while the Muhammadiyah Student Association is an organization in which it has an Islamic program. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education in the Islamic program of the Muhammadiyah Student Association Branch of Muhammadiyah Cipanas Senior High School, the inhibiting factors, and also the solutions to overcome them. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collection methods in the form of in-depth observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study go through the stages of data reduction, data display, data verification, and conclusion. The results of this study show that the implementation of character education in the Islamic program of the Muhammadiyah Student Association Branch of Muhammadiyah Cipanas High School includes introductory activities such as FORTASI activities, training activities such as PKDTM 1, and routine activities or habituation such as tadarus. The factors that hinder the implementation of character education in the Islamic program of the Muhammadiyah Student Association Branch of Muhammadiyah Cipanas Senior High School are: 1) Focus on Academic Achievement, 2) Lack of Interesting Religious Learning, 3) Popular Culture Influence, 4) Lack of Model Role, 5) Technological Development, 6) Lack of Parental Participation, and 7) Free Association. The solutions are: 1) Integration of Islamic Values in All Subjects, 2) Development of a Creative Religious Curriculum, 3) Improvement of the Quality of Teachers on Religion, 4) Cooperation with Parents, 5) Utilization of Technology, 6) Formation of Communities/Study Groups, 7) Interesting Religious Activities, and 8) Continuous Evaluation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi transformasi pemikiran dan peran Muhammadiyah dalam bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, dan sosial di Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan studi literatur, kami mengungkap evolusi pemikiran Muhammadiyah dan dampaknya dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih inklusif dan beradab. Temuan menyoroti komitmen Muhammadiyah dalam memadukan nilai-nilai Islam dengan kebutuhan praktis masyarakat modern, menjelajahi berbagai inisiatif dari pendidikan progresif hingga pelayanan kesehatan yang terjangkau. Peran sosialnya juga ditekankan melalui upaya pemberdayaan ekonomi dan advokasi hak asasi manusia, yang menandai kontribusi signifikan Muhammadiyah dalam pembangunan sosial di Indonesia.

Abstract

Selama beberapa tahun terakhir, Palestina menghadapi tantangan berat seperti kematian warga akibat serangan dari Israel, krisis kemanusiaan, dan pembatasan ekonomi yang melumpuhkan negara tersebut. Dalam mengatasi tantangan ini, Palestina membutuhkan dukungan dan solidaritas global baik dari komunitas maupun internasional. Muhammadiyah, sebuah organisasi dari Indonesia, telah tergerak untuk membantu Palestina. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kontribusi Muhammadiyah dalam membantu Palestina dengan mengirimkan berbagai bantuan yang dibutuhkan serta upaya langsung mereka dalam gerakan solidaritas untuk Palestina. Bantuan yang diberikan melalui BAZNAS, Muhammadiyah, dan KISPA telah meringankan penderitaan warga Palestina dengan menyediakan kebutuhan dasar seperti makanan, air bersih, tempat penampungan, dan paket pengobatan. Solidaritas Muhammadiyah tidak hanya terbatas pada bantuan langsung, tetapi juga melalui kampanye digital dan media sosial yang menggalang dukungan global serta meningkatkan kesadaran internasional tentang kondisi di Palestina. Secara keseluruhan, inisiatif ini mencerminkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, solidaritas antarumat manusia, dan komitmen untuk memperjuangkan keadilan serta perdamaian di Palestina, mengingatkan kita akan pentingnya saling membantu dalam menghadapi tantangan kemanusiaan yang kompleks.

Abstract

Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) or Indonesian Migrant Workers in Jordan face many problems, especially educational problems, this happens because the majority of them only graduated from elementary school (SD) and do not have sufficient religious knowledge. To overcome this problem, pengabdian kepada masyarakat kemitraan international or  the Community Service International Partnership (PKM-KI) team at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) runs Muhammadiyah Community School project for PMI in Balad Jordan. Various institutions from Jordan, such as PCIM Jordan, PPI Jordan, and the Indonesian Embassy in Jordan, collaborated this project. A Situation analysis was carried out through interviews with partners to start the project planning process. The implementation stage involved determining basic school values, creating learning materials, and training for participants. The results of the evaluation, which was conducted through direct interviews and observations, showed improvements in PMI's social-emotional and religious skills, as well as more ties and awareness of the importance of education. To ensure continuity of learning and evaluation of progress, the mentoring stage was carried out periodically via the Whatsapp group. Therefore, the Muhammadiyah community school pilot project was successful in addressing PMI education problems in Jordan through a collaborative approach between universities, community organizations and government institutions. This shows that community education is a relevant solution to improve the welfare and quality of life of PMI. Thus, through a collaborative approach between community organizations, universities and government institutions, the pioneering Muhammadiyah community school in Balad Amman Jordan has succeeded in overcoming the educational challenges faced by PMIs in Jordan. This shows the potential for community education to be a concrete solution that is relevant to improving the welfare and quality of life of PMI.

Abstract

The use of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become the main focus in increasing the effectiveness of the learning process in the digital era. This research aims to identify problems that arise in the application of ICT-based PAI learning media, as well as uncovering potential solutions to improve the quality of its use. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach by collecting data through observation, interviews and literature study. The research results show several problems faced in using ICT-based PAI learning media, including teachers' lack of technological understanding and skills, limited student access to technology, and challenges in integrating religious values ​​in a digital context. Solution approaches are proposed to overcome these problems, including intensive training for teachers in integrating technology into the learning process, developing PAI digital content that is in line with the curriculum and religious values, as well as increasing student access to technology through supportive school policies.

Abstract

Latar belakang pengabdian pada masyarakat ini, dikarenakan guru-guru SD/MI, SMP dan SMK/SMA Muhammadiyah di Kartasura belum sepenuhnya memahami PTK. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini, adalah: (1) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu merumuskan masalah; (2) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu membuat judul PTK; (3) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu membuat proposal PTK; (4) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu mencari landasan teori; (5) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu mengumpulkan data; (6) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu menganalisis data; (7) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu membuat laporan PTK; (8) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu membuat artikel; (9) Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura mampu mensubmit artikel ke jurnal Nasional terakriditasi. Metode pendekatannya dengan: (1) Ceramah; (2) Diskusi; (3) Tanya Jawab; (4) Brain Storming; (5) Tugas; (6) Forum Group Discussion (FGD). Partisipannya adalah guru-guru SD/MI, guru SMP, dan guru SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura berjumlah 30 guru. Setelah pelatihan dan pendampingan guru-guru membuat proposal melaksanakan penelitian PTK membuat laporan PTK dan membuat artikel serta mensubmit artikel ke dalam jurnal tingkat nasional yang terakriditasi. Hasil pelatihan dan pendampingan PTK dibuktikan bahwa Guru SD/MI/SMP/SMA/SMK Muhammadiyah di Kartasura telah mampu: (1) Membuat proposal PTK; (2) Melakukan PTK; (3) Membuat laporan PTK; (4) Membuat dan mensubmit artikel ke dalam jurnal Nasional terakriditasi.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) adalah masalah umum bagi guru pesantren. Meskipun PTK adalah salah satu metode penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, implementasinya di pesantren sering menjadi hambatan oleh beberapa faktor. Pertama, banyak pesantren memiliki keterbatasan sumber daya dan akses terhadap literatur dan teknologi, yang menghambat proses penelitian. Kedua, ada kekhawatiran tentang intervensi terhadap metode pengajaran tradisional yang sudah ada di lingkungan pesantren. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Pesantren Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta, dimaksimalkan dengan beberapa poin penting. Pertama, memberikan motivasi kepada guru muda tentang pentingnya Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dengan contoh kasus inspiratif dari lingkungan pesantren. Kedua, mengundang seorang guru senior atau alumni pesantren yang telah sukses melaksanakan PTK untuk berbagi pengalaman, menyoroti tantangan yang dihadapi dan strategi yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan PTK. Ketiga, menyajikan praktik baik terkait PTK melalui contoh kasus atau studi literatur, dengan langkah-langkah praktis dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi PTK, serta membagikan sumber daya online atau cetak untuk informasi lebih lanjut.
