Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy Partnership-based cocoa farming in Gunung Maria Village, North Padang Lawas Regency. Cocoa is a leading sector with a strategic role in supporting the rural economy and significant potential. for both domestic and export markets. The research uses in-depth interview approach, and SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats, qualitative descriptive through field observation). The results of the analysis show that Gunung Maria Village has strengths in the form of abundant natural resources, strong partnerships, and farmer skills, as well as Opportunities such as increasing market demand and government support remain challenging. However, major challenges remain in the form of limited capital, access to technology, and road infrastructure. The SWOT mapping results place the village in Quadrant I, which is an aggressive strategy, which recommends leveraging internal strengths to achieve strategic objectives. seize external opportunities. The proposed strategy includes farmer training, product diversification, institutional strengthening, and the use of digital technology and export partnerships. These findings are expected to serve as a strategic reference in designing policies for sustainable agricultural development and improving the welfare of cocoa farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how knowledge, awareness, and income affect the willingness of investors in North Sumatra to pay zakat on their shareholding. Descriptive quantitative technique was used in this study. A total of 4,333 Islamic equity investors in North Sumatra participated in this study, regardless of whether they have or have not paid zakat on their shares. A total of 98 participants of different ages, all of whom invested in Islamic stocks, were selected as the sample. Information was collected by administering a survey to the participants. SPSS version 25.0 was used to conduct multiple linear regression analysis on the data. The results indicated that the variables of Knowledge, Awareness, and Income Level have a significant positive impact and these three variables simultaneously contribute substantially to an individual's interest in paying zakat on stock ownership, as indicated by the significance value of 0.000 which is very low from the threshold of α = 0.05. The finding emphasizes that the tendency of an individual to pay zakat on shares is influenced by the combination of these three factors, with the contribution of influence reaching 76.7%)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze digital fundraising strategies in the collection of zakat funds at Ulil Albab Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ), employing the SOAR framework (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results). Utilizing a descriptive research method paired with a quantitative approach, the SOAR analysis is quantitatively developed through surveys conducted with five informants (n=5). The data are weighted and rated on a scale from 1 to 4, adapted from the IFE and EFE models. The results indicate that Strengths scored 1.75, Opportunities 1.83, Aspirations 2.04, and Results 1.40, totaling 7.01 overall. Quadrant mapping produced the highest score in the OA combination at 3.87, followed by SA at 3.79, OR at 3.23, and SR at 3.15. These findings demonstrate that OA was selected as the main strategic priority due to its dominant score. This strategy highlights the utilization of external opportunities, such as the rise of digital zakat trends, increased technological literacy within society, and the availability of online payment infrastructure, complemented by the internal aspiration of LAZ Ulil Albab to enhance accountability, transparency, and the institution’s digital positioning. The resulting strategy incorporates real-time digital reporting, technological innovation through the integration of e-wallets and payment gateways, digital education-oriented branding reinforcement, and the development of human resource capacity and partnerships. The study confirms that the OA strategy is effective in boosting zakat fundraising, strengthening donor trust, and supporting institutional sustainability over the long term.

Abstract

This study examines the profitability and break-even point of a broiler farming enterprise operating under a partnership model at Sikaf Farm, Manik Hataran Village, Simalungun Regency. Adopting a quantitative approach, the research is based on primary data collected through observation, interviews, and field notes. The analysis employed break-even point (BEP) and profitability assessment techniques. The findings indicate that Sikaf Farm exceeded the break-even threshold, with a minimum production requirement of 1,415 kg and a minimum price of 4,311.06/kg, while actual production reached 89,408 kg. Despite this, profitability measures reveal that the enterprise remains financially suboptimal, reflected in a revenue-cost (R/C) ratio of 0.81 and a profit margin of only 3.03%. These figures suggest that profits are still relatively low and that the business may experience losses during certain production cycles. High broiler mortality rates and inefficiencies in operational cost management constitute the principal challenges. To improve profitability and ensure the sustainability of the partnership model, it is crucial to enhance technical management practices, increase cost efficiency in housing systems, and strengthen collaboration with the core company

Abstract

The fair market value of a mutual fund's securities and other assets less its liabilities (debt) is its net asset value, often referred to as net asset value (NAV). One of the benchmarks for assessing mutual fund performance is NAB. The aim of this research is to examine how ISSI, IHSG, and inflation will affect the Net Asset Value (NAB) of sharia stock mutual funds between 2018 and 2022. This research intends to show how ISSI, IHSG, and inflation affect Sharia Stock Mutual Funds. NAB performance on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Explanatory research using quantitative methodology is this type of research. Multiple linear regression analysis, which has previously been evaluated using conventional assumptions, is the analysis technique used. The research results show that ISSI has a negative effect on the NAV Performance of Sharia Stock Mutual Funds, the Composite Stock Price Index has a positive effect, and Inflation has a positive effect on the NAV Performance of Sharia Stock Mutual Funds. The simultaneous influence of ISSI, IHSG, and inflation on the NAV performance of Sharia Equity Mutual Funds is quite large. To assume that all independent variables simultaneously or together have a significant influence on the Net Asset Value of Sharia Equity Mutual Funds at a confidence level of 95%, the F statistical value of 0.0000 is calculated which has a probability value of 5%. Abstract

UMKM memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, termasuk dalam sektor fashion muslimdi kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara yang terus berkembang. Di era digital, penggunaan media sosial menjadi strategis dalam meningkatkan eksistensi dan keberlanjutan usaha. Media sosial seperti Instagram, Facebook, dan WhatsApp tidak hanya digunakan untuk pemasaran tetapi juga untuk membangun hubungan dengan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi media sosial terhadap keberlanjutan usaha dengan pendapatan sebagai variabel intervening. Studi kasus dilakukan pada UMKM fashion Muslim di Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan pendapatan, yang pada gilirannya berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan usaha. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi para pelaku UMKM dalam memanfaatkan media sosial untuk meningkatkan kinerja bisnis mereka.

Abstract

Perang dagang antara Amerika Serikat dan China sejak 2018 telah memberikan dampak signifikan dan multidimensi terhadap pasar tenaga kerja dan industri di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus dan analisis tematik untuk mengkaji dampak konflik perdagangan tersebut, baik dari sisi tekanan negatif berupa penurunan permintaan ekspor, disrupsi rantai pasok, dan risiko PHK massal di sektor manufaktur berorientasi ekspor, maupun peluang strategis melalui diversifikasi pasar ekspor, trade diversion, dan relokasi industri manufaktur dari China. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perang dagang memicu tantangan seperti pengangguran struktural, kesenjangan upah, dan volatilitas produksi, namun juga membuka kesempatan untuk reposisi industri dan peningkatan kapasitas nasional. Kebijakan adaptif berbasis evidence, meliputi reformasi pasar tenaga kerja, diversifikasi ekspor, penguatan substitusi impor, dan peningkatan iklim investasi, diidentifikasi sebagai kunci keberhasilan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan dan daya saing ekonomi Indonesia di tengah dinamika global.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of the palm sugar home industry owned by Mrs. Atik in Bandar Lama Village, Kualuh Selatan Subdistrict, Labuhanbatu Utara Regency, using the SWOT approach and the Islamic economic concept of maslahah. The business has been passed down through generations and serves as the family's primary source of income. The research employed interview methods with the business owner and field observations as data collection techniques. SWOT analysis indicates strengths in product quality, producer experience, and low production costs, while weaknesses include limited technology, resources, and lack of brand identity. External opportunities such as rising demand and palm sugar prices offer significant potential, but are challenged by competition, government regulations, and weather dependency. The proposed strategy focuses on leveraging strengths to capture opportunities and addressing internal weaknesses. From the maslahah perspective, development efforts cover the preservation of life, wealth, and lineage (dharuriyah), economic ease (hajiyah), and improvement of quality, morality, and social aspects (tahsiniyah). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the decision to purchase halal cosmetics through e-commerce applications using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) approach.This study employed a quantitative survey approach. The sample consisted of 100 students from the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, State Islamic University of North Sumatra, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression (SPSS) and Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS software.The results indicate that performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions significantly influence the decision to purchase halal cosmetics online. Abstract

The research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of hotel tax and entertainment tax on increasing local revenue in the city of Medan. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, with data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The results of research conducted at the Medan City BPPRD show that hotel taxes and entertainment taxes have increased but there are still some that have not reached the target. The variables used are hotel tax and entertainment tax as independent variables and local revenue as the dependent variable to determine the effect of hotel tax on increasing local revenue in the city of Medan. The partial research results show that hotel taxes have a significant effect on regional origin. Restaurant tax has a significant effect on local revenue. Entertainment tax has a significant effect on local revenue.
